mutate 18 time is very little skill-based and I think, almost purely on luck. I tried for a week now and best I can do is 17. Pick all chose-able/buy-able mutation, "more DNA on recycle" buff, sell everything after beating liver boss. and most I can do is 17
I think the only viable method right now is to get mutagen on early game
Now I unlock all load-out option except this thing

8r7m4egv try this seed, choose internal organelles on the external slots and if it gives u a slot that doubles the organelle then put a mutagen between the pick up mitochondria
that will give u steady supply of dna
I don't know if it works with helminth though
only played on this seed with bacteria
