To fit the Robo wild west, It only seemed natural the cowboys would deal in mirco-chips and processors when gambling, swigging down a pint of coolant. Then the Idea of fortuna bluff imbuing these chips and boards with mystic code of long forgotten magic, in a time when the last human shamans walked these deserts.

Perhaps the rarity of the card influences what design it has. Normal Jokers are Punch cards for example. The higher the rarity the more advanced it is.
