#Leveredge needs a buff

As it is currently, the leveredge is objectively worse than the long ranger in pretty much every way. It has worse single target damage, worse crowd clear, and worse unique jokers. As such it desperately needs a buff, but more importantly, it needs some form of identity that seperates it from the long ranger (which is probably the most balanced weapon in the game as of writing)
Stacked lever is a functionally useless unique, the leveredge is terrible for crowd clear and it doesnt proc against high health targets. If you want to keep it the same it should proc on weakspot hits instead, making it useful against high hp targets and the same against trash.
Eagle lever sucks. The consistency required to use it effectively is unreasonable, and even then it doesnt do enough to justify using it. Plus many things completely reset it other than missing, namely casting spells, drinking healing bottles, switching weapons, etc. It needs some sort of complete rework to become viable, though I'm currently not sure what so I'll update this post when I come up with something.

As an explanation for the long ranger comparison, long ranger does crowd clear better due to piercing (and technically mindshot), and it does more damage (and can hit the 100 dmg breakpoint easier) hence is better for single target. Additionally it has a much faster base reload, and the uniques are good and give it an identity. The leveredge does shoot fast than the long ranger but machinegun solves that, and as it does more damage it both uses less ammo and firerate matters less.

Stacked lever being changed to proc on weakspots and maybe a reserve ammo increase alone would make the leveredge much better at single target than it currently is, though that doesnt solve the eagle lever obviously.

#

And tangentially related the saloon needs weakspots so weakspot centric builds are actually viable against it

you overestimate my ability to actually hit weakpoints

#

honestly that would make stacked lever much harder to use for the average player

#

feeling like more of a nerf to most people

I dont have any other ideas for it. Making it proc on body seems bad and making it proc every x hits seems pointless.

both of the leveredge’s uniques are really focused on accuracy, and making one even more accuracy based wouldnt feel the best

#

unfortunately inlove the leveredge so much, its my fav gun

#

but

#

it just doesnt feel good to use

green ice
#

Leveredge being a single target focused gun would give it much more identity and thats pretty much the only way to work stacked lever into it without reworking both uniques (as eagle already needs one)

idle zephyr
#

unless you rework the joker its kinda stuck

green ice
#

unfortunately i dont have any ideas for full reworks of either

idle zephyr
#

hm

#

ill give it some thought

green ice
#

luckily this is the feedback channel so i can just say the weapon is bad and not provide any actual ideas for improvement /s

idle zephyr
#

of course

green ice
#

i would make a post about the deadeye nerf being bad but i know it would become a hell zone and people would overwhelmingly disagree so no point

idle zephyr
#

i genuinely want to know

green ice
#

#┝🔫⬩builds ill say there so this feedback doesnt get clogged with offtopic stuff

idle zephyr
#

that was my biggest problem with the game by far having played it

(i say using builds offtopic lol)

I was having this conversation with some friends earlier today, I'm glad someone also thinks so.
I desperately want to like this gun, but imo it's the most unfun main gun and it's currently a joke.
It has no clear potential, the single-target DPS is laughable, it needs SO many jokers just for it to compete against other main guns, and it's the only main gun with unique jokers with a downside attached to them.

It's accuracy and killing things from long range is great, but the long-ranger does everything this gun does but better, with better uniques on-top of it.
The only times I've had any "success" with this gun is just stacking legendary jokers and even then it's just.. usable.
and to be frank, what gun doesn't have success with stacking legendary jokers.

If the Leveredge was single-target focused, the uniques should be changed or just be given entirely new ones.
The Eagle Lever is meant as a damage steroid, but it has two problems.
Problem#1 is the damage only increasing by 5% per bullet and capping at 50%. We need TEN shots to get it fully stacked. It's like I'm training for aimlabs with perfect shots to get mediocre damage increases per shot. The % per bullet hit needs to be higher.
Problem#2 is with the fast-paced gameplay of Very Hard and Nightmare, it's so easy to lose the mediocre damage increase. An easy fix for this is to make the damage buff last a few seconds atleast or just make it so that it's a stacking "per mission" joker like the Machine Gun joker that scales off of weakspot hits. "+1% damage per weakspot hit, max of 50". It fits the name and incentivize people to actually aim their shots with it and be rewarded.

The Stacked Lever is meant to negate the abysmal reload of the gun.
Clearing the map with this is actually really fun. When you slot this joker in, you can just go damage/fire rate/clip size upgrades and get by.
But against tanky elite mobs and bosses, it's a waste of a 5-slot joker and completely useless-- which is the exact opposite of what a single-target focused gun is supposed to be.

The winchester is literally recognized as "the gun that won the west" but in-game it's doing everything but.

the most aura and best sounding gun in the game(imo ofc)

#

unfortunately its uniques are horrible

#

and it doesnt have a good niche

Yeah, I picked up Leveredge for a more effective ranged killing pair with my sheriff stars (which has range but, I ain't getting those stars back). I realized after getting it that "would sniper just be better for my means?"
Regardless, imma keep using it cause I feel the aura or something
