The shotgun I like it. But its short range is a problem when it comes to enemies that stay far away. While show be a good down side, but its not good when its the bosses.
- Both the Vulture and Train boss in order to hit them with some what good damage you have to be right below them. Which is a very bad position. Also while going against both these bosses on normal difficulty I kept running out of primary ammo pick ups.
- The main reason I think this was happening is because with how far the vulture and train stay in the air only one or two pellets hit which puts it damage at par with the quad barrel which has DOUBLE the ammo.
- I was playing solo so not other players with other weapons, but this would still be a problem in multiplayer if everyone brought shot guns.
With these aerial bosses the shotgun is just not a option which is a bummer mainly because it means a run is dead as soon as you enter the map because of the weapon you selected.
Fix Ideas
- The main problem is the range of the shot gun which to keep it as a shot gun it should stay short.
- One way I see is to lower down how high the Train and vulture float if you want to keep the shotguns range down. You'll still need to get in close with the shotgun but you not longer have to look directly up to get the shotguns good damage.
P.S.
- The main reason I bring this up is the shotgun is a primary my assumption is as the designers you want the primary to be the main damage dealer for a build (as long as its not a full mage build). Well the shotgun can't be the main damage dealer against aerial bosses because of its range. So it doesn't do its job.
Quest Bug
Ok so the bug I'm showing in these pictures is after doing the Black Box Train mission the side quest marker for where to find Willy Billy on the map went away.
The X is where it's suppose to be.
