WARNING: this is not a melee slot weapon idea and strictly is connected to primary and secondary!

Shield: "Couldn't afford a real bullet proof shield so we got you a table. At least you can eat at work!"

The shield is a primary that comes with passive perks and active abilities.
Passive:

  • Damage taken is reduced (not sure how much, you devs decide)
  • You use your secondary weapon while shield is out.
  • Secondary ammo increase (since your only weapon will be your secondary.)
  • Secondary damage increase (so you don't feel too weak.)
  • Possibly not a passive "perk" but dual revolvers clip is reduced by half while shield is out due to only being able to hold one.
  • Not a perk but secondary weapon can not scope in while shield is out.
  • Not a perk but when meleeing you bash with your shield

Active abilities:

  • Strong legs: When pressing mouse 2 (what is usually scoping in) will cause the player to jump in the direction they're looking, allowing them to jump very high or far.
  • Smash: Landing on an enemy while using strong legs will do damage based on speed.

Tharg's hammer: "There's a note that says 'return to Tharg if lost!' but we don't know who that is. It however seems to respond to people worthy... or crazy enough to wield it!"

Tharg's hammer is a secondary that is a melee weapon with a ranged ability. It only has two attacks.

Hammer swing (weapon fire button):

  • Hits like a truck, doing heavy damage at the cost of it being melee ranged.
  • Can hit multiple enemies at once as long as they are in range.
  • Any enemies hit will be hit with the selected element.
  • Replaces shield bash with melee hit if shield is used with Tharg's hammer

Element strike (pressing and release melee button):

  • Allows the user to call in strong element strikes based on the element selected at the cost of ammo. Lightning will cause a lightning strike to happen and leave lightning on the ground. Fire will cause a pillar of fire for a quick second and leave fire on the ground. Acid will cause an acid explosion from the ground and leave acid puddles on the ground.
  • When press and holding melee it will show an indicator bubble where everything will take damage. Releasing will cause the attack to happen.
  • Ammo is replaced with an energy bar, can not use secondary ammo to refill. It slowly recharges but doing damage helps it recharge faster.
  • Ammo clip size is 3 but replaced with 4 if using shield.

When using both shield and Tharg's hammer you can't switch weapons! Why would you need to?
