The game feels so much more complete and polished than a lot of released games I've seen. The artstyle and animations are fantastic, and there is so much to do and augment/modify that I could see tons of time spent in this game. Only reason I haven't spent more is because I know I'll be super sad with progress reset. Also really appreciate being able to play with friends in this one. Really excited to see where it goes! 🙂

A few small things after 3-4 games on easy difficulty:

  • If you ping a tombstone and then collect it, your ping disappears. I really wish it would stay so teammates could find it without you having to re-ping the location
  • Also for tombstones, I wish you could see some marker (not necessarily on map) like a ghostly reflection of it after collection when you're in multiplayer lobbies and someone hasn't collected it. Maybe even have text when you approach it "X hasn't found this yet". My friend found a bunch on his own and we spent about 20 minutes with him wandering around trying to recall where he found them for the two of us who hadn't collected them. But he wasn't able to even see them at that point.
  • Not sure if this was just me, or intentional, but the skeletal birds are really hard to see sometimes.
  • Also, friend of mine pointed out the interactions between magical elements (acid + fire), but couldn't figure out some of the others like fire and voodoo. Not sure if those should be spelled out somewhere, but couldn't figure it out on my own :/ Maybe on full release guides will help.
  • I also tried shotgun in firing range and it felt a bit useless at long range. If I recall correctly, it was showing zero damage at far range (just missing based on spread). I don't think it should do good damage at distance, but if you line up your shot, it feels like it should still do something. Please feel free to ignore this if I'm misremembering or just a terrible shot 😄

  • It looks like the blue wagon launchers on (I believe) the desert don't launch you if you ride on with your horse. Given that you have to maneuver pretty intentionally into them, I think I'd expect you to either launch with your horse or dismount automatically to be launched.
  • The flash of color for spell cooldown completed feels a bit much. I think toning down the brightness of that flash or reducing it to only the lower corner of the screen might be worth looking at 🙂

  • Tweaks are a bit unclear. It looks like you can equip tweaks and modify guns with tweaks, but you can also find them for only the mission in-game? It's a bit unclear if unlocking them is for good or for a specific number of game(s) or something.

  • Would be great to be able to cancel acid spray by re-clicking the same button used to cast it

  • Having souls to be collected vs player souls be slightly different colors might make it a bit easier to differentiate. I tried to revive a currency 😄

  • I didn't mind this one so much, but might be nice to have some distance between objectives and danger areas in case some people want to avoid them
