tzeentch and lumineth stuff

#

ok yeh as i watch the stream vod that thing was a young barghesi which is wild now we know what they look like

prime summit
#

I think I'm going to have to spend an unreasonable amount of money on Boners this year.

#

They look so goddamn cool.

#

That battleforce was like, the thing I needed to complete my 2k army, so I'm pretty happy.

#

I'll have to wait until later to grab the archers/assassins/chariot.

urban flint
#

I need to decide who to play as for my first Total War Campaign, no one is off limits

#

Should I mod the game?

meager shoal
#

id say no for a first playthough

rotund moon
meager shoal
dense isle
#

get kitbashed fool

vague gust
#

Do NOT believe rhe lies and play franz

#

He is a awful intro

#

Because he now is surround by 1 nurgle lord, 1 ogre lord, vlad, the french, norsca, skaven, and possibly orcs and warriors of chaos if they push that way

#

He is a AWFUL intro lord now

vague gust
#

Thorgrim is good

#

Dwaves have many things that make them good such as their lowest possible armor value being 80

#

Which is usually other factions max

rotund moon
#

it was awful

#

I refuse to play fantasy china tho :P

urban flint
#

What about the gizzards?

#

The lizard gizzards

dense isle
#

lizardmen are weirdddd?

#

I dont think they're a bad choice

#

they've just got some weirdness

#

oh they also have dinosaurs.

rotund moon
#

I think I wanna try high elves

#

hm

#

wanna play alarielle but dont have that DLC

#

guess its Tyrion

rotund moon
#

tyrion is good so far

#

turn one, won two battles

tepid tundra
#

i listen to none of this advice cause i just want to play chaos, lizardmen and something else that i cant remember

rotund moon
#

Ive got almost all high elves on ulthuan allied already

#

its turn 8

tepid tundra
#

elves do be friendly with each other

#

not the wood or dark elves mind you

rotund moon
#

high elves love eachother apparently

#

they do seem like the unironic good guys of this setting, at least at a glance

tepid tundra
#

ok so i have to do this cause now that they have the iron warrior tease thing your all probably going to eventually see this image if you dont already know bout it and be disgusted by it but its been show everywhere now

#

this is the image in question

#

yes it be a fake image

rotund moon
#

mega diplomacy

rotund moon
#

Aaaaaaaaaaa my allies are fighting eachother

bitter eagle
#

Elf v elf combat is a new one

#

Don’t think I’ve ever seen that happen when I’ve played elves

tiny pike
#

Dark and High elves fight each other all the time, that's kinda the thing with them.

rotund moon
#

well

#

these are two factions of high elf

#

and them declaring war on eachother forced me to pick a side and tanked my diplomatic trustworthiness

#

all my fighting so far has been on ulthuan

#

I've kicked out greenskins, slaanesh, two separate kinds of pirate

#

and finally ulthuan is united under the elves

rotund moon
#

Im conquering slaanesh lands and every time I get to just get alarielle's blessing on a city and instantly wipe out the slaanesh corruption

#

haha, yoink'

bitter eagle
bitter eagle
rotund moon
#

haha

#

this is my first time playing high elves

#

its going really well

#

hah, build-a-daemon david is trying to invade so I summoned a militia levy and kicked his butt out

#

lore question: Are the lizardmen generally order or chaos aligned?

#

and short victory achieved

tepid tundra
#

there order

#

even then they see elves as stupid which is funny cause elves see everyone else as stupid

rotund moon
#

good to know

#

Lord Mazdamundi has been surprisingly diplomatic to my prince campaigning in naggarond

tepid tundra
#

they kinda hate pirates for good reason

#

they even have a written engagement with the dark elves who thought they were smart

vague gust
#

Also lizard men just want to left to their temples and such but if given the chance to fight chaos they will rush towards it without a second thought

dense isle
#

@rotund moon you liked this guys songs yeah?

rotund moon
#

yeeee

#

hell yeah this rocks

rotund moon
#

HAAAAAAAAAAAH I WON

#

I only had to conquer the ENTIRETY of naggarond

urban flint
rotund moon
#

oh I finally figured out why Morathi's voice seems so familiar. She also voiced the female Sith Warrior in SWTOR, which was my main character in that game

urban flint
dense isle
#

CLARANCE! OUR GREAT OVERLORD!

rotund moon
#

just started as balthazar gelt, holy CRAP the helstrom rockets are cracked

#

imagine this coming at ya

vague gust
#

Have you tried nuln yet?

#

She gets a even better version

rotund moon
#

nope

#

Is that Elspeth?

#

I dont think I have her DLC

urban flint
#

Did you know? Total War Warhammer 3 comes with all the DLC pre installed, except for one?

#

I’m telling you this for no reason at all

rotund moon
#

huh

vague gust
#

Huh?

vague gust
#

Her hellstorms launch a vortex rocket does the normal explosion and spawns a mini black sun of xerxes on impact

vague gust
#

squint

rotund moon
#

so anyway about that artillery

#

oh my god, I also got a few mods and one of them redoes important landmarks. Altdorf looks amazing now

dense isle
#

Oh that is so clean

vague gust
#

NAME

#

PLEASEP

#

Thats so pretty!

#

I need it

rotund moon
#

and now the game is crashing every time i try to load a battle

rotund moon
vague gust
#

Yep

#

Empire state troops are just like that

#

Theres also no cap on them btw so you can have a doom stack if them if you really wanted to

rotund moon
#

jessus

vague gust
#

Yea

#

Yet the empire still gets steamrolled

#

Just how much shit they start being at war with

rotund moon
#

forget the lustriabowl, the empire is the real thunderdome

dense isle
#

I mean it’s fantasy Europe will all the land diversity of Poland.

vague gust
#

Also you have the pretencious french as neighbors

#

And your most valuable port declared independance like nerds

#

The empire is truly the grandslam

tiny pike
#

Don't forget the Empire having one of their Elector Counts being a vampire.

vague gust
#

Whack a vlad is a right of passage

rotund moon
#

Holy heck. Are there any mods that make it so the empire AIs Don't get utterly steamrolled immediately after starting a new game?
Whenever I play the empire, it's collapsing around me from the word go, whenever I don't its completely wiped out by the time I get visibility on the area

#

its actually fucking stupid

tiny pike
#

I think there's a few mods to give the Empire a buff, but them completely collapsing in 99% of games is I'm pretty sure an intentional design choice.

rotund moon
#

Well its a stupid-ass design choice and I've elected to ignore it

vague gust
#

Its not a design choice for them to fail

#

Its just theyve had so many enemies added to their borders

#

And those other factions have all had some nice DLCs and buffs and such

#

The empire stats havent been touched since elsbeth

#

So they are in desperate need of new shit

#

Its also why vlad thrives in the empire

#

Theres always massive battles leaving thousands dead

#

Meaning he can just spam grave guard and terrorgheists super early before anyone has tier 3 units

dense isle
#

Yeahhhh

#

The empire were one of the first factions and it shows

vague gust
#

Its literally one of the only reasons vlad survives

#

Other then him being a stupid good lord

#

Its funnt and sad how factions are measured in power by “days since last DLC”

#

I know manffredd as a faction also gets obliterated by like turn two by settra

#

Bro has like nothing to help him start

#

But its ok because its manffredd

#

And hes a bastard who deserves it

dense isle
#

Setra may be a bastard, but at least he kills Manffredd.

vague gust
#

settra isnt a bastard hes just pompous becaue hes genuinely deserves to be like this

#

he earned every single title through merit

dense isle
#

Settra doesnt pay his taxes.

vague gust
#

he isnt a bastard just from ego its also because he has more then enough skill to back up his bark

vague gust
dense isle
#

yeah.

vague gust
#

I cant wait for the nagash dlc

#

I think its going to be full of skeletons

urban flint
#

Two words, Steam Mechs

vague gust
#

Im aware of deithland

#

Its just when i mention that i mean fir official stuff all though deithland is amazing

tepid tundra
tepid tundra
urban flint
vague gust
#

Be strong clarence

rotund moon
#

what da heck

dense isle
#

What?

tepid tundra
#

you dont know

#

the lion wants to speak with guilliman

#

still have no idea where the footage showing it is from though cause people never source it

dense isle
#

Alpherius lives.

rotund moon
#

wait

#

one of the gunnery school upgrades is

#

stealth mortars

#

that dont break stealth when firing

vague gust
#

Yes

#

Elsbeth is wild

tiny pike
dense isle
#

this reminds me of something Alucard said once upon a time.

rotund moon
#

I like the helstorm rockets.

Upgrades:
-More Rockets
-More Rockets!! (with emphasis)
-MORE ROCKETS!!! (with vigor)

#

not even joking

dense isle
#

MOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

#

yeah I love that upgrade naming scheme

#

very orky

vague gust
#

Elsbeth is a funny little lord

#

Who i think canonically spent 30 years in her mage tower without leaving

tiny pike
dense isle
#

as one does.

#

pondering the orb is important.

rotund moon
#

theyre just standing there and getting shelled

dense isle
#

heeeeeh

vague gust
#

Hey para fun fact

rotund moon
#

ya?

vague gust
#

Bonuses from heros staxk

rotund moon
#

oooh

vague gust
#

So if you have 5 heros thar buff arty damage

#

Thats 5 15% increases

#

Dont think its been patched

tiny pike
#

A.K.A: ultra artillery damage.

dense isle
#

Funner fact. Legendary lord bonuses stack up to 50 max.

So only kill the 50 you really want the bonuses from.

vague gust
#

Yea but LL hunting sucks now because of how many of them die early

#

Also some lords just give dogshit traits

dense isle
#

Yeah

#

I feel like LL should respawn with warbands every so often ya know?

#

Like. These are LEGENDARY figures.

I dunno. I’m not a great game designer.

rotund moon
#

this is a freakin bloodbath

dense isle
#

Good god

#

You just shelled them out of reality

vague gust
#

Arty when it works it works good

tiny pike
rotund moon
#

I have a mod that reduces the blood splatters.

tiny pike
dense isle
#

But arty

#

Arty has a special place in my heart.

vague gust
#

FRENCH DETECTED

vague gust
dense isle
#

Bahahaha. Those baguette lovers?! NAY. THE WINGGED HUSSARS ARRIVE!

#

POLISH DOMINANCE!

vague gust
#

Kislev

#

Never got into them

#

The hybrids kinda annoyed me

dense isle
#

Aren’t they Russian?

vague gust
#

Yes

#

They are all slavic mashed into one faction

dense isle
#

Rude

tiny pike
#

Kislev are amalgamated Eastern Europe.

vague gust
#

Also they have a unit called winged hussarls

dense isle
#

Damn

vague gust
#

Ive wanted to try brettonia for a while but i dont think theyve gotten a single roster update since release of games

dense isle
#

I think you may be correct

#

Which is a shame

vague gust
#

It is

#

They are cool

#

They just need some more stuff

dense isle
#

A dude beat their short campaign with only peasants

#

It was apparently awful

#

Who could have guessed

tiny pike
vague gust
#

Like helmangorche with only zombies

#

Every fight will take 40 minutes minimum

dense isle
#

Like. You can do it. But there’s. There’s better challenge runs to be done.

tiny pike
#

Challenge runs that are actually fun, like Dwarves Axedwarfs only, or Wood Elves Trees only.

dense isle
#

Trees only is so awesome

#

You have some crazy synergy

#

Set all your trees on fire with cursed flame and laugh as your enemies crumple.

#

And you get all the benefits of elf BS without any elves!

tiny pike
#

I do wish modern Total War games let you have properly “generalless” armies like back in the days of Rome 1. Those sorts of challenge runs were really fun.

#

No general bonuses. Just pure tech tree and unit spam.

dense isle
#

Damn

#

That sounds awful. I love it.

vague gust
#

My biggest complaint about warhammer 3 is now when a LL revives from wounded he can just take command of any army anywhere in the world instantly for no penalty

dense isle
#

Ew

tiny pike
#

It also allowed for armies to be reinforced by other armies, a mechanic that’s gone missing in modern Total War games.

vague gust
#

Its really annoying when you have to kill archeon 12 times before you hit his capital because he wound time is like 2 turns

dense isle
vague gust
#

Yes and allied armies will join you

tiny pike
#

What I mean is building an army within a city and walking it over without needing to shuffle leaders around.

vague gust
#

Or if the skaven and dwarf are killing orcs they will automatically reinforce each other

dense isle
vague gust
#

You build it walk it where needed then just give units

dense isle
#

I’m out of my depth.

tiny pike
#

Modern games require a leader in every army. Older entries like Rome 1 let you raw build the reinforcement army and walk over a stack consisting entirely of recruited units.

vague gust
#

I see

#

I see it but doesnt change much really

tiny pike
#

It also meant you could customize the garrison forces, as you could just build some units that stayed in the city.

#

Which was really helpful because it meant you could make the garrison forces not consist of the weakest unit types.

dense isle
#

But the skaven slaves make such great target practice!

#

But yeah

#

Fair

rotund moon
#

skavenslave only run

#

vermintide

dense isle
#

People have done that

#

It’s

#

It’s bad

#

Para, look at the leadership stat of an unupgraded Skaven Slave.

tiny pike
dense isle
#

Exactly.

rotund moon
#

this loser keeps asking for peace, nuh uh buddy you're next on the headsman's block

dense isle
#

"but. but what if peace?!"

tiny pike
rotund moon
#

like 500 bucks

#

and im like

dense isle
#

"all your remaining cities"

rotund moon
#

lol, lmao

tiny pike
rotund moon
#

every few

#

anyways Ha get rekt if so

tiny pike
#

Then yeah, 500 bucks might be all he has.

rotund moon
#

I dont wanna deal with his stealth game nonsense

dense isle
#

oh my god that reminds me of one of the funniest CIV moments I ever encountered.

I was trying to end a war so I could dispand my army for economy, I was WINNING, OBLITERATING, but needed some cash flow. so I went to the guy I was at war with and I went "hey dude you want peace? you're losing" and the AI went "GIVE ME A CITY FOR PEACE!"

so I just stabbed them until they died.

rotund moon
#

so he's public enemy number #1 now that I thoroughly kicked Vlad's butt and scattered the ashes

#

HE WANTED A WHOLE CITY lmao

tiny pike
dense isle
rotund moon
#

there's always something the AI way overvalues in these games. Cities frequently

tiny pike
#

They could literally have no units, one city left, and no money, and they'll still refuse a peace deal unless it includes you paying them.

rotund moon
#

in stellaris its the rare resources

tiny pike
#

Stellaris it's Rare Resources AND Systems.

rotund moon
#

uh, not really

tiny pike
#

But only in peace deals.
Trade deals they hate the Systems.

rotund moon
#

they literally only accept systems if youre giving them for free

dense isle
#

wacky

rotund moon
#

There's some janky fkin design or code there

#

and you can never buy one from an AI

tiny pike
dense isle
#

grand strategy games have so much going on that honestly the AI overvaluing certain things or resources I just. like.

you just learn to accept and work with it.

tiny pike
#

In Peace Deals, though, they'll happily still prioritize Systems.

dense isle
#

Civ its cities. stelaris its.... whatever they feel like doing.

rotund moon
#

the fuck are you talking about hero

dense isle
#

CIV AIs frighten me

rotund moon
#

literally what

#

Peace deals arent negotiations

#

you click peace and you peace out

#

its a common complaint about stellaris actually

#

that peace deals are so oversimple

tiny pike
#

In a way they are. System control dictates if they'll accept the Terms of Surrender, unless you've been at war for 90 years and autopeace.

rotund moon
#

youre also wrong about how auto peace works but ok

tiny pike
#

And with the vassalage changes, a lot of AIs like to go for Vassalage CBs if able, to get those sweet sweet Rare Resources.

dense isle
#

Hero you sure you arent talking about some modded AI?

vague gust
#

Yea in stellaris theres none of that

tiny pike
#

90 years is an exaggeration to emphasize how long it tends to take for the autopeace from War Exhaustion.
Obviously it takes less time that that, but it still feels insanely long.

vague gust
#

Havent heard of a mod that changes it at all

#

It takes like maybe 5-10 in game years for auto peace in stellaris

#

And thats the max

#

Never have i seen a war last longer then that

rotund moon
#

lol

vague gust
#

Only one i think lasted longer was fallen empire war or galactic emperor succession war

tiny pike
#

It depends on the CB type for the war.
Contain Existential Threat can go forever, basic conquering is 5-10 years (but feels longer because of being a war where you're actually doing things).

rotund moon
#

yknow what

#

honestly

vague gust
#

You can still get auto peaced in extermination of threat wars

rotund moon
#

Im sick of you just butting in like an authority with wildly incorrect nonsense. Im blocking you

vague gust
#

Lmao

dense isle
#

alrighty then.

rotund moon
#

Cant talk about anything here without it i swear

dense isle
#

Trazyn be nice to the neighbors.

vague gust
#

I miss TTS so much

#

It also sucks it ended with the not death of kitten

urban flint
solemn mason
#

Fun watch

dense isle
#

….. no they don’t.

No like actually with any degree of lore accuracy they are pasted.

#

The Darktide games are basically giant beacons of “this isn’t canon everything here is grossly exaggerated”

vague gust
#

nah i believe 4 bozo could easily carve a swathe throw choas guardsmen

dense isle
#

Your argument is very compelling……

vague gust
vague gust
dense isle
#

No that’s not the argument you want. Cain is brilliant yes, but he’s a leader.

No.

You want SLY MARBO.

vague gust
#

true

dense isle
vague gust
#

the resisdent crack addict of the 40k world

dense isle
#

Sly doesn’t have a problem. He can stop consuming angel dust whenever he wants.

solemn mason
#

not to mention how the simulator couldnt count Krak grenades due to them being a command phase thingy

rotund moon
#

is this tabletop rules?

solemn mason
#

Its how Fatshark gets some of their balance plans

rotund moon
#

Cuz lore-talking theyre getting pasted in 0.3 phemtoseconds

solemn mason
#

and in lore, Cain fought a world eater and won

#

books are so inconsistent its kinda funny

rotund moon
#

Cain is the protagonist of a major series of books, he has plot armour. Which is the strongest thing in 40k

solemn mason
#

So we ignore books then

dense isle
#

Cain is also the emperors silliest commissar. He’s got like 7 layers of plot armour.

#

No

#

We don’t ignore books

solemn mason
#

tabletop, 4-5 crackheads can paste a space marine

dense isle
#

We understand that not every book is equal.

dense isle
#

You average things Throck. And on average lore states spacies turn mortal fools into meat paste without really trying.

rotund moon
#

Tabletop has to do the funny thing where your army of custodes cannot instantly paste their army of imperial guard because its a competitive game with balance considerations

dense isle
#

Yea

#

Same with a video game

solemn mason
#

fine whatever

#

Spaceies fucking rule no fun allowed

#

enjoy

dense isle
#

No they suck. They die horribly to a lot of stuff.

solemn mason
#

Like 4-5 crackheads

rotund moon
#

4 dipshits dont win

vague gust
#

Fun fact i had 2 lemon russ vanquishers and a stormlord kill the void dragon

rotund moon
#

HUH

vague gust
#

Yea

#

Took 2 and a half turns but i did it

solemn mason
#

idk bash, books might not allow that

vague gust
#

Well fuck the books

vague gust
#

Books are ass source when every author has completely different concepts of a space marine

#

Such as the book where krieg killed a bloodthrirster by just mobtactics and artillery

#

Normally lore wise shouldve just made it stronger

dense isle
#

Yeah pretty much. But they’re more accurate sources for lore than video game or board game stats.

That doesn’t make them good. It makes them less shit.

vague gust
#

But it didnt

dense isle
#

It’s a cesspit of picking a choosing, and for the most part books are better at consistency.

vague gust
#

The options are a balanced board game, a balanced game, and the collective schizo posting of books we call lore

dense isle
#

Well now that’s just rude.

vague gust
#

I say it in jest

#

Well half jest

dense isle
#

I’m gonna dip out cause we’re all looking a bit heated.

vague gust
#

Some books are good

#

Im kinda memeing here

#

Apologies

dense isle
#

Okie.

vague gust
#

So to take the memes away real quick

#

The books are ok because some authors understand and then theres others that are just downright wrong such as the single harlequinn killing 30 custodes
I could see it killing like 1-5 but 30 come on

#

Outer dark is great

#

Because it paints tyberos as a fucking horrifying blender of a space marine and its funny because get recked bugs

rotund moon
#

There are very different strata in 40k's power levels. Space Marines occupy like, a middle tier. Four Dipshits from a prison ship are bottom tier, and Darktide's beasts of nurgle were and are already critized for being way outta the reject's league

vague gust
#

Oh yea a beast of nurgle normally kills a squad of anything

#

Except in warhammer 3

#

4 thunders

#

And it dies

#

Or two choas dwarf blunderbusses

rotund moon
#

what ones are the thunderers?

vague gust
#

GOD i love them

#

Dwarf gun missile unit

#

Get them after quarrllera

rotund moon
#

I played a fight vs the dwarves the other day and their freakin flamethrowers were MONSTEROUS

vague gust
#

Irondrakes are evil and i love them

rotund moon
#

Irondrakes thats it

#

those things are EVIIIIL

#

(it turns out killing it with fire works wonders and the dwarves are very aware of this)

dense isle
#

Just gaunts.

vague gust
#

Yea

#

But tyberos im book actually killed the entire hive ship

#

Not a single thing left alive

#

So the real answer is power scaling in 40k isnt real

#

And anyone can beat anyone

dense isle
vague gust
#

Thats different those are orks

#

They cannonically can cheatp

rotund moon
#

Tyranids are my least liked part of 40k. Theyre just. Uninteresting. Unstoppable force that steamrolls everything in connects with.

If they ever do a 40k End Times it'll just be "and the tyranids ate more worlds until they ate every world"

vague gust
dense isle
#

Shock Jump Dragstas can teleport. And so they warped INTO the command center of the Titan. I love orks.

solemn mason
vague gust
#

There will never be a 40k end times

rotund moon
#

yeah

vague gust
#

GW REFUSES

#

to have any end to 40k

dense isle
#

They’d sooner pull an AOS40k than end it.

rotund moon
#

so the tyranids lorewise are an obnoxious ever looming threat that will eventually eat the galaxy but we're in a plot-time bubble where nothing actually progresses that far

dense isle
#

I love them. They’re my lil buds.

rotund moon
#

I just dont like em

dense isle
#

Fair

solemn mason
rotund moon
#

Sometimes I wonder

vague gust
#

Also in all honesty even if the tyranids won

#

The necrons would just win

#

Because they cannicallt have 10 different ways to vaporize a system

solemn mason
#

and they aren't biomass

rotund moon
#

how much has actually happened in 40k in terms of Overarching Plot, in a meta/out-of-universe perspective,

It feels sometimes that all the lore events were backfilled and the setting lives in the eternal present where nothing new happens and everything stays the same

vague gust
rotund moon
#

For example. Was there ever a time IRL where 40k lore said Cadia still existed present-day? Or was the entire history of cadia including its destruction backfilled into the setting

vague gust
#

Thats literally it

#

Cadia stood for like 8 editionsp

#

Its death was the start of one of the new tabletop editions

rotund moon
#

ah

#

I see

#

when did that happen?

vague gust
#

13th black crusade

solemn mason
vague gust
#

Which i think was like 8th or 9th

rotund moon
vague gust
#

Yep

#

We went from 30k to 40k in like 2 years

#

But now 30k and 40k are being written simultaneously

#

So now neither can progress ever

#

Again

rotund moon
#

guh

vague gust
#

I think the 47th horus heresy book recently came out

solemn mason
#

and no fantasy content shall be made again

vague gust
#

Because yes WERE STILL GETTING THOSE BTW

#

fantasy died for age of sigmar to exist

solemn mason
#

And fantasy is still preffered for me tbh

vague gust
#

It had more factions

#

Which made it cooler

#

80% of races died out for AOS to have like 6

prime summit
#

AoS has 4 grand alliances, but 25 factions now

#

Some are definitely more developed than others.

#

TBH the switch from Fantasy to AoS was very needed.

It let them ditch a lot of rules cruft, refresh most of the models cleanly, and also alienated most of the worst fans so the current playerbase is surprisingly wholesome.

It’s a wildly different game, from what I heard, which is why some still people prefer Fantasy, but it’s definitely GW’s best current product line in terms of consistency and quality. Not so much when it comes to memes or videogame adaptations, I suppose.

tepid tundra
#

well i should specify novels cause books then covers not just novels but also codices and campaign books etc

tepid tundra
tepid tundra
#

so they finally put it in big book material now and not just on there community site that acheran is dead

#

in the 500 worlds campaign book

vague gust
vague gust
#

In the final Siege of Terra book, the Emperor and Horus actually have a full on game of Paradox-Billiards-Vostroyan-Roulette-Fourth Dimensional-Hypercube-Chess-Strip Poker using the Emperor’s Tarot cards.

“Safe” events being like, the great crusade, Horus heresy itself (but not the events in it), Sanguinius dying (debatably anywho), etc etc.

tiny pike
#

There's some events/lore that we can consider safe.

Namely: The overarching stuff of the Great Crusade, Horus Heresy, Men of Iron, etc.

dense isle
#

Men of Iron I love but wouldn’t personally consider safe?

#

Character deaths…. I’ve got a quote for this if I can find it.

tiny pike
#

More referring to the fact of them existing at one point.
Since the whole point of them is that what they did triggered the "No Abominable Intelligences" rule in current day setting.

dense isle
#

There's an old joke among the patrons of Lassiter's Den: “If you think that you've finally killed your nemesis, but you don't find a body? You didn't kill your nemesis.” The jape was always followed by the corollary: “If you do find a body, the odds go up to fifty percent.” (Quote is from “Chronicles of Fid” good book)

tiny pike

Specific events involving them, sure, those wouldn't be safe, but the fact they existed and really fucked up Humanity towards the end of the Dark Age of Technology is almost certainly safe.
