Yeah banana or apple
If it looks like Yiga, banan.
If it looks like Korok, apple.
Further clarification
If it looks like Korok, it might need a golden apple
I had one puzzle only solve after I tried a golden apple instead of a red apple
sheikah eyes, but upside down.
Oh then what are the frogs w Rightside up eyes
I could have sworn i saw a frog with a sheika eye and a dish but maybe i'm mistaken
Yeah I've seen them around. Not been able to get them to do anything.
||just learned you can beat colgera with no weapons||
||it's a wild ride to time things right, though.||
its part of a sidequest. they become marked and important when the sidequest needs them to be used. don't worry about them for now.
Worry
||theres a door near a waterfall in the desert where a yiga blademaster opens it if you wear the full yiga set, he says "hey brodouski please put these 6 nanners into these 6 things and Ill call you a blademaster. PS: theres a shrine behind me" and link being link does the deed, gets the shrine. all the shrines get marked upon begining the quest, and you get the shrine afterwards.||
thats the quest
stop worrying.
Wopey
Either way
One of the frogs statues only solved with a golden apple
So I'm not sure whether it was a minor glitch, and just didn't want to accept any of my regular apples, or some of them require gold apples instead of red apples

okay but they are not frogge, they are three pillar looking things which gives me no clues about what to put in it
maybe they need the golden korok poop from the first game? :p
https://twitter.com/bran8bit/status/1667539615413334017 from cade in wholesome
just discovered you can create a wider range of pitches by attaching stakes to one another 🤯
new DAW just dropped

takes me a minute to recalibrate back to "just because other people put in much more effort into their creations doesn't mean my way of play isn't valid!" after these
that's okay control-stick-and-two-fans, it's not a competition <3
but do you attach the fans to the sides, or to the front and back?
Well, so the thing there is that the control stick doesn’t have side snap on points
everyone is doing the stick and 2 fans trick
Making actually attaching something well very hard.
hell if anyone attempts to argue against that design they need to be slapped cause its one of the best simple designs
I have both the to-the-sides and front-and-back variants
I think I like the goblin glider configuration better
I like my triple fan build.
I also have a ground vehicle made of a sled, four big wheels, a control stick and a lamp but it's like 27 zonaite and doesn't go as far as two-fans-and-a-stick :/
I wonder if you can build a motorcycle somehow
You can.
People have done it, just really expensive.
I just do a one wheel.
It speed.
im probably going to be insane and focus on getting lots of zonaite ore and the batteries just so i can mess about as I explore about
Batteries (the peaceable kind) are worthless.
You get MORE than enough regenerative battery to do anything
full maximum battery charge for maximum annihilation!
imagine my feelings when I trade in 100 whatevers to get another battery segment but actually it's a third of a segment, lmao owned
also the big zonai cores not only give you a while of no energy cost, but also fully recharges spent energy
The ore is REALLY easy to get, and you should really only spend large chunks on power boosts.
yeah I know
I'm doing some minecraft action in my zelda atm (spend an hour+ mining diamonds with a pick that keeps breaking so you better bring several)
or, get the master sword back and use it with a rock to mine better than almost anything
I have no info on sord or mech yet, no spoiling
||I did find a "mech factory" just randomly wandering around in the dark but all the buttons went 'bzzzt! no!' when I tried to get them to dispense mech bits||
||yeah Thattle be useful later. No spoilers beyond that.||
Explore at your own pace, do what you like. All will be revealed in time.
Or brute force puzzles.
I like brute force.
spent 45 minutes trying to find a goddamn light root in a cul de sac only to realize that the lightroot for that area is BEHIND the wall, I would like to submit a complaint to the zonai in charge of Depths infrastructure for violating common sense, laws of physics
Water go brrrrrrr
yup. erosion is a hell of a drug
is there a playtime counter anywhere
Yes. Go to your switch profile.
It won’t give an exact count until you go over 10 hours I think?
there have definitely been more than 10 hours lol
Then it should be in your profile.
Over a single hour, and if you hit 999, it just stops counting up.
Click your face orb from the Home Screen
Well that’s worthless.
Although I think the saves within Zelda track playtime?
I THINK
It will still order the games by which have the most playtime, even if multiple have hit 999 hours, though.
Because Nintendo and Technology have a very antagonistic relationship.
man I have entirely too many open world type games going. totk, cyberpunk, ghostwire, jedi survivor, everspace 2 I swear it never ends
elden ring, sonic frontiers. both installed. i even FORGOT about them
Because open worlds are the big AAA thing now, and no one wants to do something simple but well anymore.
counterpoint: hifi rush, scars above <3
yes perfect
pya!
have you ever been so tired you'd rather get repeatedly smashed with a large boulder than get up
Koroks just lazy
||it's 5:30am and all the chickens in this village starting clucking and running up the same path guys I'm FREAKING OUT||
||Cuckoos share 1/2 a brain cell among the entire species.||
||it’s part of a quest||
||follow them.||
||secret cuccoo hideout discovered what is even happening in this game||
Things.
it took a decade but I finally have my radiant AI
Radiant what?
NPCs that have schedules
and you can follow them like a complete creep as they wake up and go about their day
huh
just spotted a star fragment, and as i sailed to grab it, another one nearly punted me out the sky
kek
I managed to grab one out of the sky because it passed close to me while I was scoutin'
I kinda wanna sell it but I'm deathly afraid that I'll later discover you need 50 for a quest or what have you
I was given knowledge unparalleled
||If you put a ruby on ashield it explodes when you guard, without hurting you||
||same with bomb flower||
welp TOTK really trained my brain to consider ceilings and sharp overhangs as open paths
this is not working very well in other games
Better yet, it has trained you to look up.
An instinct most gamers lack.
nah I got trained to look up by the dev commentary in portal
It ain't just gamers. I've learned that people just don't look up in general
let's be honest, farming ||dragons|| is way eaiser in this one
basically can just chill
Look at all that Detail in the Floorwork!
Meanwhile, the monster clinging to the ceiling: Light Hissing noises and deep breathing
"Oh, Hissing Noises? There must be Snakes nearby. Be careful of the Danger Noodles!"
The monster, who is a snake monster: "How do they know? They arent supposed to learn I am a snake until the 7th act!"
oh also the statue of ||swapping your stamina and hp|| is found
Indeed. ||In the basement of Lookout Landing, and thus much easier to get to than where it was before.||
||Hail Satan, and his intelligent decision to relocate to a smarter location for business.||
if you want a neat weapon ||The godess springs have quests related to them|| the reward ||is a replica skywards sword||
also to do it you'll want ||1 of each dragons claw||
why is it that everyone can smell when you got the item they need
I got like the entirety of the kingdoms fauna and flora in my pocket how do they recognize any smell
also it feel like every time i finish a quest a new one gets unlocked
||Ganon|| out here causing problems as i solve them to stop link from whooping him
equip cece hat. never take it off.
Because Link tells them that ?
Canonically BotW Link does speak. He just went silent as Zeldas Bodyguard and chosen Swordsman.
You can see him gesturing when you talk to them. He just has no audible voice for the player
He is not mute you lnow
Simplified sign language
They can’t animate every sign, so they just do the general hand gestures
Yeah link is mute.
No...
Its canonically established that he is not mute
He just went silent as he became the chosen swordsman and later Zeldas bodyguard. He did that as to keep the image of the ever vigilant hero that can shoulder the responsibility given to him
He doesnt speak to us but he isnt mute
This is literally from Zelda's diary in BotW
He is NOT mute
That wouldn't explain the moving of the head, like sure iirc there's this thing in non verbal psychology where if you nod your head and make movements that seem like yourself agreeing with the things you say it's more likely for others to agree with you but in case of the "conversations" Link seems to have with NPCs he seems to be explaining what happened and the hands being very out of sight of said NPC I'd think it's rather unlikely that that's sign language.
...
I just explained that he can talk
Just when Hyrule was in its Prime and everybody was looking at the chosen Hero he chose a vow of silence in public
Sayin "But I got 10 Sunblooms here" is perfectly in his capability
I read your messages, just wanted to give my opinion on the topic
just did all shrines, but the final number is unsatisfying...
huh, zora canonically prefer to eat fish raw?
welcome to the club. DLC hopefully will fix that.
true statement
i remember the blood battle blockade anime where the guy tries to haze the new fish man guy by taking him to a fish restaurant
and he just goes in without second thought
fish like eatin fish
He talks, just not often, and usually only with quick statements when it is required that he speak. Even when he was still wee babby, he was fairly quiet, as per Miphas journal in BotW, it is just the responsibility of being the Chosen Wielder of the Master Sword made that trait even more prominent.
he does also talk in tears he does all the motions and everything we just dont get to hear it
Literally the only Link that might have been canonically a mute is the Link from Zelda 1 and Zelda 2, from the NES era.
nah man he mute.

The rest of the links can canonically talk, they just dont for us the player because voice acting is expensive.
does hyper sonic sign language.
all the links can talk. manga proves it, except, there aint no BOTW manga.
so thats the only link that can't
hence
he mute.
ohh no. three months until they run doom
unlikely, there is a 21 object build limit
so one would need to wait until the modded roms, which Nintendo will DMCA nuke into orbit
23 connections total
hm. not good.
distributed among all things currently rendered
rip
realistic limits breed creativity, and allow the creations to work well on the switch hardware
true
you know what? I'm gonna say it. the tougher world bosses ain't fun
"go get zelda's horse it's in the snow field past that ice dragon" ffffffffffffffuck that thing
I love them!!! They'r emore fun then lynels
They are a bit painful.
had a couple of 30 attack bows, a couple of 30 attack swords, and 4 fairies. thought I was hot shit. everything broke, all fairies gone, grazing hit from the hitscan beam weapon froze me instantly then killed me and I was like "you know what that's enough videogames" [hold power button]
I'm guessing I should come back when I have a lynel bow and a stash of fire keese eyes or something
You know the way to fight Gleeoks right ?
and putting a single fan down to get an updraft is also key so you can bullet time his heads
Ideally he shouldnt be able to attack at all except maybe his desperation attack when at low HP
that gleeok is near an arch so I ascended to the top and jumped off for the bullet time
expensive.
ignores weather
pinecone cheap
and thunder gleelocks are the easiest
ice and fire are annoying, and king just exist.
just fight it like a real hero
I am.
blind charge?
The process is :
Bullet time the heads , if you can with Eye arrows
Bring him down and go for a few swings and then retreat before he stands back up
slaughtering it before it harms me.
repeat till dead
just spin when down. more damage.
Those are a few swings
also I reccomend moving up to 40 attack weapons.
those are like super bosses so yeah
Then you are not ready for that boss
I guess I'm still too earlygame for those then
40 attack and some attack up food is what you need.
You are trying to soul level 1 a late boss
I wonder if there's freezeproof clothes
what snek said.
Yes
yes, but not gonna help if all your weapons break.
I found the coldproof and cold-attack-up clothes but not freezeproof clothes (or food)
Thats a wall you are not meant to be able to fight at that point
is it a specific freeze proof or just upgraded cold gear
either way, long story short, you need better gear, dont worry.
oh yeah I found a colliseum in the depths ||and gave up after defeating one gloom lynel and another, bigger bloom lynel showed up||
I will sound like a broken record
heh yep okay okay I'll delay it for a long while later
... should probably at least complete a second sage quest
was it botw that had people speedruning with like sticks?
well in botw, as soon as you have the glider you technically CAN proceed in direct line to ganon
I don't know if totk has that
i juat remember the meme of like Link wakes up and he's saved the world in like 10 minutes flat or something
it does, its not worth it.
it wasn't worth it in botw either lmao
Crembo, just, play the game, have fun, when you start fighting more silvers than blacks is when you know youre ready for gleelocks.
well, other than to grab a bunch of mid-game gear from the castle early, then skitter off
yeah this game doesnt have that
since all gear is well.... crafted
world level is far more important
on the one hand, crafted gear feels fun. on the other hand, since it still breaks a lot, it basically adds twice as much menu fiddling to the weapon thing
there is good and bad with all
The more shrines , koroks etc you do the more the world scales up
The more frequent the higher grade enemy materials and base weapons become
oh and just one last tiny icing on the gleelock cake, their drops are just not worth it. at all.
the 3 kings drop orbs but besides them, theres just nothing worth it.
their horns do less damage than silver bokos.
Traveler -> Soldier -> Royal/other
the king, heh. really REALLY early game I found a sky island with ghidora and alatreon's love child on it and I've never went "NOPE" faster in my life
kings. plural.
There are more than one of them around
4 in total, although only the 3 sky ones matter.
so far the highest damage fusion item I have is from the blue-white frox
thats a max level frox, equivilent to silver.
Which is a great item to deafeat more blue white frox
I haven't found any other blue-white ones
youll find em
still explorin the depths, slowly
eventually
wait for blood moon, go back down there and go minecraft on those veins
element stuff?
idk. never used em. they do 34 damage Grump.
why would I EVER use that.
for element powers if they have it
by the time you can fight a king you're fighting silvers all the time, and its just not worth it.
found some tank treads and a construct head. put them together, slapped a couple of beam emitters on the head. it's functional but I feel so basic when I use it
wonder what would be better. a frost emitter and a cannon maybe? hmm. must experiment
Id argue laser and cannon.
the emitters kinda suck
real close range, not a lot of damage.
yeah my intent is to just drop it in one of the monster camps and let it go wild
the fire and beam emitters do nearly zdps but maybe the frost emitter will actually have a useful effect
nice.
spining ice and fire?
I dont think theres damage bonuses for that sadly
i have just fought my first gleeok king
Was easy until the uh. Later phase where he had like one hit left but i couldnt get high enouhh to hit his head
Foresr dweller bow op
Gleeoks arent that hard tbh
:(
also how do I dodge talus attacks. please they track so well and always oneshot me
You can blow up their rock arms
when you blow up one they go on the knees
with two gone they need to take a moment to grab new ones
I always arrow them in the pimple I didn't even realize you could use a bomb on the arms
here I am frantically trying to avoid them because link can't dodge roll and has no iframes aaa
Just let me give an advice
You seem to play this game way too agressive
its not designed to be played like a normal hack and slash
you can also send the rocks back with rewind
BotW and TotK is more methodical than fast
Also that
And you can ascend through them
Talus aim is Too Good
the small ones get oneshot by any rock hammer, not an issue
the big ones though. they wind up to do a punch and I can see death coming because the damn tracking
Pick up the small ones and throw
they explode
Also the big ones dont like you running through their legs
Yeah the big ones are annoying esp if their pimple is sideways
like their ore pimple- if its not upright and inatead sideways it's hard to hit w a club
Stand on the pimple to hit it
I like twohanded things and those dont swing down well
That phrasing is... interesting
this is why we use mech.
Mech breaks her weapons too fast
??? Not Taluses...
oh. those.
I reccomend a bow, and a lot of screaming.
Screaming gives you supernatural powers, I too, recommend screaming!
see this one gets it!
If i scream@i scare my dogs
If you lock on with the two handed weapons, you'll lean up or down to hit somebody at a higher or lower elevation than you. So, if you stand on the Taluses' pimple, and lock on, but don't touch the motion joystick, you'll attack at a downwards angle and hit the Talus
so um i saw a strange thing today caught on video just now from Tears
it involved 2 of those lizardmen in the desert
?
Oh was it the kne where it looked like they were doing- y'know
the monster mash
or whatever a euphamism would be
the hell?!
Bokoblins wear loincloths.
This implies they have a social concept of embarrassment from full nudity.
I mean ; maybe its a comfort thing
crazy that speedrunners already have the game down to under a hour
Link’s discovered the COOLEST thing in Tears of the Kingdom
#ZeldaTearsOfKingdom
now for bone golem horse!
||tossing a dazzlefruit on the floor instakills all stal- monsters jfc||
So that's what happened. I had smacked one that fell on the ground and wasn't quite sure what was going on
||Stals die to sunlight, Dazzlefruit emits a bright flash akin to sunlight when thrown on the floor. The only one that survives is Stalnox, since they are a special Stal that simply deactivate in bright light.||
And in typical flat earth fashion ( even if only satirical) he goofed up the experiment.
This only shows that shows that hylian physics might behave not like our normal physics.
They took a shadow from the same object which is comparably small in size to the distance of object to light source
Further more those are two time FLOATING ISLANDS above the ground level therefore have 0 say as to the make up of the ground as they are not on a 2d plane but in a 3d space
They didnt even replicate the stupid reasoning they even replicated their failure
Then you missed that I pointed out that its a joke
I'm just saying you dissected the frog
Where'd the frog come from?
And now threre's old timey dudes involved okay. I can see when I'm in over me head
what, you want to beat a dead horse too?
That poor horse! I mean it probably doesnt mind anymore but it's still rude
does it feel like the game pulls the "homeworld trick" and renders distant sky islands bigger so you can see them?
sort of feels like I see gigantic death-star sized spheres in the distance and when I go there they are merely house sized
Yup
Probably
welp I found zelda ||and boy am I so unsatisfied with her role in both games, ultimate fridged woman||
searches ||fridged woman||
||"women in refrigerators" is the trope name||
also I was right, a tank with a frost emitter and a cannon is so much more effective than twin beams
This game is a lot better to Zelda than the first game - sure || She isn't a playable character, but she is hella active towards the inevitable victory, and no matter what she had a long road back to the present. || Not to mention there is still DLC possibilities || Where you could play as Zelda in the past, dealing with demon king's remaining foes while she is preparing herself for her transformation and journey back to the present||
but to suggest this is a case of a ||fridged woman, where the only purpose of the woman is to suffer/die in order to motivate/kickstart the male MC|| is missing the point of what was shown to have happened in the collectable memories
||I get what you're saying, but all of zelda's active roles are implied, while the stuff that's actually on screen is basically self-sacrificial languishing for 100 and then 10,000 years waiting for the hero to come. a fridged woman isn't exclusively "she does nothing BUT get put in the fridge"||
|| They aren't just implied, they are told via story via the memories and such. And unlike the first game where they tell you, hey, this princess has been stuck for 100 years to hold back the evil you were meant to vanquish, Zelda played a much more active role and her fate was presented as a twist you later get to fix at the end||
Furthermore
||I feel like saying she was fridged removes her agency and severely reduces her role in existing to just being the side character to Link's MC. This isn't the Legend of Link, this is the Legend of Zelda, and more how she ends up key to the survival of the world while being assisted by the swordsman Link. Since gameplay is focused around link, they have to use other means to focus on Zelda. Further, like I said and from a meta perspective, the blank spots in her story leave open the likelihood of a DLC where you play as her.||

captain noticed me. couldn't stop him from grabbing things. now I am the proud owner of a strong-zonaite-sword-zonaite-sword
managed to get down to 7 remaining bubbulfrogs myself, may need to pull up a map for the rest
that's what i've been doing, but clearly i've missed some
down to one, and i'm not seeing the missing cave anywhere
and i can never seem to find koltin when i need to
... he can't sense where the last one is?
i'm not missing a sky cave so i'm at a .:|:;
I explored all the sky islands but only have 8 sages' wills so I'm probably not gonna be finding all the bubbulfrogs either lmao
sages wills are way easier to find than the frogs. theres only 20 of em.
just look up a guide for them
it took me too long to realize || I can use recall on the falling chunks of ruins in the overworld to ride up to the sky ruins ||
Kek
I love giving watermelons to the satori
also I wish I remembered to download my Breath of the Wild save game to my replacement switch before starting the game, as || Your boarded horses are transferred/remembered when you visit a stable||
omg, build trick (glitch?) for flying machines ||wings don't despawn if they fly backwards||
Seems like a useful glitch, surprised I haven't seen it on any glitch showcase as I feel like it should be on them
another one I found out after a bad fuse, but totally intential design ||frozen meat fused to sheild reduces friction in shield surfing||
WELL NOW.
OHOHOOOOOH
When its wet grass even more , same as sleds and carts or minecarts
Though there is another meat glitch
fuse meat to a weapon, repeat how many times you can and stick them all together and keep it in auto build
Then
Thats a horrifying sentence
|| go to a frosty area like Gerudo highlands and get the build out in auto build BUT DONT BUILD IT. Just keep the build preview||
For some reason || the meat acts woth the cold and freezes and falls off the build ! ||
I saw that glitch
I do have a ||saved autobuild of a bunch of apples to let me use autobuild to pick apples from the trees||
That’s actually really funny
if you ||hold it above a fire, will it drop roasted meat?||
god link is such a snobby purist
"no, this meat was frozen, I refuse to cook with it anymore"
bruh it's still good just let it get to room temp then we can do a slooooow round in the smoker

I undertook a quest to build a computer in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and this video documents the process. Apparently
amusingly, there's a crossover fanfic of those two settings.
it's called "tired, retired" and it's already filled with delightful shenanigans.
I just had a thought - the Zelda subtitles could describe a world where a young Zelda got lost from her family, and had to survive on a previously undiscovered/used wild onion (Breath of the wild), and after rescue, because everyone celebrated it, and because the princess demanded the royal chef use the vegetable, the vegetable saw wide spread use, with everyone now having to suffer through preparing the onions (Tears of the Kingdom).
The subtitles are just onion puns
Onion or onion ?
I was looking for a SU Onion gif, but liked the Nick Offerman gif better
nothing defeats tony abott just biting into an onion with the skin on and everything
man if you didn't cry when ||Hudson had to send his daughter off to vai camp|| you don't have a heart
It makes me feel so dirty
Seperating a child forcibly from their family like that
we did what we could
culture is a strong and resiliant force.
we tried to give them the bestest last day together. although they will reunite later in life.
still not being able to be there when your child grows up its just.... it just dont feel right.
The true monster does that quest before beating the Desert temple.
oh my god that.... no.... thats too evil.
thats sending a child into a deathtrap
its just not right.
similar to Hollow knight when you walk out of the room Zote's in with big birb or Cloth
I always leave Zote to die to the big birdbug, unless I am doing a speedrun to the Zote Boss Fight.
yall dont just leave Zote to die?
Y'all didn't memorize all Zote rules and apply them to your own life?
You can farm Geo from the Arena anyway, you dont need to keep Zote alive to steal yo girl.
my status is one of his precepts lol
I equipped the increase stonk charm and gathering swarm and had just enough to get all buyables including the permanent upgrades to the breakable charms
Anyway is there a way to get the steering of big wheels with the speed of small wheels
Because damn if the vehicle controls aren't a weak point of this game
flying
unless the game requires you to traverse land
flying is the best
dont forget to equip a dragon part onto the vehicle
makes it so it can get 4x as far before it despawns
horns specifically iirc
dont think scales do that
Or Star Fragment.
if you have any spares anyway
didn't know about that one!
Someone said the planes don't despawn if you fly backwards but my attempt to do so resulted in hilarity, slapstick
Star Fragment supposedly also does the antidespawn thing, yeah.
Is that information you can discover in game or what
Through trial and error, yes.
Through dialogue, no.
^^
That is very silly, only dataminers/terminally bored would try that
You cant discover the fact that Rock Octos repair your weapons through dialogue either, only through experience.
glad we have those people in the community :P
It seems none of the gerudo even remember their fathers at all which makes me so sad. They all seem scared of men
To be fair, whenever a single Gerudo male is born, they turn out to be a monster.
If my species were cursed with such nonsense, I too would develop a fear of men.
True!
considering link's lived in two centuries, i'd expect an encounter or references to a "recent" gerudo male either before or after the big sleep
Oh yeah, the fact that Link was fully allowed access to Gerudo Town in ToTK is a big deal for them
I expect there to be a mention or reference to it, even if just in passing, if there is another game
Agreed!
So uhh
I learned that Boko horns are as effective to add to elexirs as ALL mob horns
from red to silver
+40 seconds to Elixir time
Shard of Dragon Spikes the same as Elemental Keese Eyeballs and Like Like Stone and Elemental Jelly
+1m 20s
Though if you want to make a single elixir Last stupid amount of time
Add a dragon horn
+30m ....
The compendium has some good info
Also , has anybody else the issue that you cant take pictures of any WING type material ?
Wing and Fin
can confirm that's not just you
Also no guts it seems
same
Also, tbf, the lore for the male Gerudo states that the last one has to die before the new one can be born. Since Calamity Ganon is still alive, (possibly, in ToTK, since he was resealed, but after he turned into the Beast Demise soooo), then there hasn't been a male Gerudo born in 10,000 years, and probably even longer. How many times has Calamity Ganon been sealed instead of destroyed? Each time would mean it's been longer and longer since the last one was born.

It's an older video, admittedly, posted before ToTK, but it's pretty compelling
True, the whole Single Male Gerudo curse thing does require the previous one to die, but given how consistent it is, where they always get a new one after the previous dies, it would make sense that even with how long Calamity/Demon King Ganondorf was sealed away and thus not actually dead, the knowledge of the curse on the Gerudo would continue to be taught to new Gerudo.
Except that the Divine Beasts got buried and lost just in the 10,000 years between last Calamity, and BoTW. And from what I remember, quite a few normal people didn't believe in the Calamity. If it's possible for people to not believe in the Calamity, despite the Royal Family firmly confirming it's existence, and the destruction its caused on numerous historical occasions, well, it makes sense how stuff can get lost
Every time a Gerudo gives birth to a Male, that Male turns out evil.
Every time.
A curse like that isnt getting forgotten the same way the Divine Beasts did.
You're right, in that classically it shouldn't be forgotten. But time is kind of shit like that, keeping good historical records is hard to do, and we've seen through the series that Int was not the stat that most people invested in.
Also, from what I remember of the lore, there were a few other Gerudo Males that weren't Ganon. They weren't important, iirc, but Ganon is destined to be born to the Gerudo, not that every Gerudo male is Ganon. As far as I knew, anyway
And finally, how do we know there isn't?
Again, given the sheer consistency of the curse on the Gerudo, it is extremely unlikely they would ever forget about it. Especially given some of the named Gerudo in BotW, when talking to them, specifically reference the curse.
The Single Male Gerudos always turn out evil, but only some of them turn out to be Ganondorf (Ganon is the pig, Ganondorf the man. Very important distinction.)
Nothing says that the Gerudo don't have the custom of killing any newborn Gerudo Males to prevent Ganon, but a combination of the fact that Ganon hasn't been born anew in a while means they haven't had to do it in a long time, and since they haven't had to do it, why even bring it up?
(Ganon is the manifestation of the "purified" essence of Ganondorf, given form by the Triforce of Power.)
Wouldn't surprise me if such a thing was a secret passed down to Gerudo Chiefs and her most trusted Guardswoman.
the question is how consistent is it
like what is the time difference every time he is born
but is he?
It being Ganondorf specifically, not consistent.
The male Gerudo being evil at all, so consistent that if not for the sealing away nonsense, you could have kept time by the Male Gerudos being born and turning out to be evil.
ccause i just read one of you saying its not always ganondorf born every time
What if that part was on purpose? He's born every 100 years to keep his power low, like how the Master Sword has to bathe in Sacred Light to charge, the longer Ganondorf/Ganon has his power, and is alive, the stronger he gets? And that's why Link struggled so much in this cycle?
Ganon is born as the Gerudo Male, every time. But not every Gerudo male is Ganon, there were a few others iirc, but because they weren't Ganon, they weren't important
so that means at times there might of been 300-500 (not accurate just an example) between when he is born again
Yep
That is only partially true.
Ganondorf is always a very skilled practitioner of Magic, and while being alive longer does make ones magic stronger in the Zelda franchise, it wouldnt be enough to account for the strength of the Ganondorf(s) fought by the Hero of the Wilds. What does account for that strength, however, is ||the fact he stole a Zonai Secret Stone, and also gave himself fully into the latent power of Demise's curse on the Bloodline of the Goddess and the Spirit of the Chosen Hero.||
dont be surprised if things get forgotten within that time span
I'm aware.
It wouldn't be surprising to me, at all, tbh
it will definitely start to happen after 100 years give or take and gets more and more likely to happen as you go up towards 1000 years
And if there has been 10,000 years, at least ,since the last Gerudo Male has been born, well......
that knowledge would be long gone
Except that there are Gerudo who specifically talk about the curse on their people, in Breath of the Wild.
if they had forgotten about the demon king who was a gerudo then that knowledge is definitely long gone
how do they speak about it? as fact or as myth?
As fact. That every time a Male is born to the Gerudo, they turn out to be evil.
i come from warhammer so i will always ask this kind of question
Was that comment supposed to be a lore tidbit for dedicated fans, or actually established fact for the universe?
like im at a point where i would say i need to see this for myself cause i no longer trust people to not bullcrap me
like actual wording and everything cause people have always misinterpreted things from my experience including myself
Both. Nintendo, when doing lore in such a way, as something stated by a character in the game directly to Link while the player is in control, always intend it as both.
Fair enough. I'll give you that one
i want a gerudo npc who's got male children who she's either adopted or are her step children
Would be cute
Ye
Knowing the rest of the Gerudo though, she'd probably be the equivalent of that old 'Crazy Cat Lady's and obsessed with Voe
In their opinion, at least. Lol
The mental image of a gerudo woman who's adopted like ... not even hylian kids is hilarious
Lady w like two baby rito . Confuses Every Other Person
adopts hinox brothers
" who's children are those"
" mine?????"
HAH.
I wonder if the monsters in TOTK can talk. I know the moblins in sone games can
imagine link overhearing a monster camp gossiping
no seriously, a gerudo woman just marching along with her 3 imortal boys who care for her.
come on tell me thats not the best book idea you've ever heard.
She wasn't going to leave them there!!!!!! They were looking at her with sad eyes
EXACTLY!
seemingly some do? if you observe the camps they do seem to actually communicate and are actual species.
specifically boko and moblins
I mean like talk to people.
I mean you'd have to teach them the language
link hearing a moblin insult his hairstyle
but they are probably capable of it
I mean look at link
that man does hyper sonic sign language
i always assumed he's selectively mute
Not incapable of speech due to illness or injury
lore wise he is, I just like to think he just signs at speeds faster than the human can track
Just like, it's hard for him
as in seriously, lore wise, man just choses not to talk
That's really funny
at least for BOTW and TOTK
yeah dosent zelda's diary say link says its because of the pressure he feels
that's very " selectively mute" feeling to me
Link in the public eye loses his ability to talk for more than a few sentances at a time
yup
I mean that was my interpritation
man just choses not to talk to appear more imposing
which I mean. it works.
Selective mutism is less like choice and more brain does not let words come out
But yeah , similar enough hcs
It's often because of different mental conditions afaik
A lot of autistic people have some form of it
what isn't?
but good to know for the future selective mutism doesn't mean by choice. medical term. neat.
I pick the funniest and bestest options.
He's frantically signing to a shopkeeper his order and the poor shopkeeper is just like
" wait slow down how many did you want "
Link needs 15 carrots, 10 eggs, and 55 arrows and he is in a HURRY
i only know link to speak when his reporting something
I wonder how a rito would use sign language;
Probably looks really silly
well that and he was speaking to the old man in breath of the wild
no it makes sense
they are birds
your just assuming sign language always has to require fingers and hands
I mean they have fingies
technically tallons
but their tallons can operate bows so it counts
but there walking on them when on the ground
its like suddenly having to lift your feet to eye level every time just to communicate
BotW/TotK Link doesnt speak much due to natural inclination to being silent, and a sense of extreme duty due to being the Chosen Hero.
can confirm, as someone who can barely get a sentence out to even his own mother once a month
should've probably tried learning sign language at some point, but text gets me by
I hear its a good skill to have, but text works fine enough.
Note
Whatever you do , do NOT give into temptation at the start of the Zora temple and build a tower of springs
Get your buddy sage in making to the temple first.
Then go back to start anf build that spring tower
Thats the time you can launch yourself into the stratosphere
you can skip the whole travel to the temple in seconds once you reach THAT area
I went so high I unloaded the temple assets and the temple mechanics T Posed with unloaded shaders beneath me

phantom ganon D:
finally killed my first gleeok! flame gleeok, specifically. fight went pretty smoothly except when I whittled it down to about 25% hp, at which point it just sort of vanished
I was panning the camera around going all "uhhhhh where did it go? where did it go?" then I looked up
whatever I didn't need those fairies anyway
yeah
thats just zelda
oh and link is the third wheel who keeps having to prove himself when the other 2 just get born with the godesses boons
because obviously.
but the master sword
no not that I mean the triforces.
zelda and gannon just get GIVEN wisdom and power from the getgo
link always has to earn courage.
for some reason
i mean usually you gotta do a trial for the master sword
from just not getting lost in a magic forest to reforging it
saw a pig he was coming at me fast for a pig goblin then i saw he was on a horse so i killed him for his horse
you guys do know the triforces give powers on top of the relative inheritences that they give right?
I mean sure the MS is the inheritence for the weilder of the triforce of courage, but lore wise I do believe it also gives magical empowerment
actually as i just looked it up it does give him powers
also from what i read it gives him magical resistence
like apparently in the one where he becomes a wolf, without the triforce of courage he would of become a lost soul or something
instead he survives and becomes a wolf
Courage is the one that does the least, because it can only be claimed by one who already embodies its qualities, hence the always needing to earn it. Link has to prove he embodies the Triforce of Courage.
The Triforce of Wisdom is really moreso the Triforce of Light Magic.
we live in a magic land full of elves what do you expect
oh and there are bird people who apparently evolved from the fish people and round men that live in a volcano
and an all female race that im surprised they havent already started to just kidnap men to make more babies
The Triforce of Wisdom, in the games, has never actually been connected to actual wisdom, beyond the trials in the couple of games where we actually collect the entire Triforce having us need to solve the puzzle-iest of puzzles for the Triforce of Wisdom.
What it has been regularly connected with is Magic, specifically Light Magic.
I usually conflate it with wisdom -> divine inspiration or gift, from the meta (Link and the world is literally getting outside influence from the player) to the gifts of light magic
I'm not sure I'm getting exactly what you're saying here, but I had my own little thought. What if the reason it's called the Legend of Zelda, is because the Tri-Force of Wisdom is the Force guiding Link through his adventures, us. Being channelled through Zelda, since she bears the blood and reincarnated soul of the Goddess. If the latter is still a thing.
There is a pretty good VR platformer, Moss, where they play with the themes of the player being part of the story more literally - the protagonist Moss can see you and you help them yourself (grabbing and moving terrain/enemies). That is what I was alluding to in part - same sort of notion you are picking up on
bone proficiency get! now to beat up a molduga..
ok, this is a cool thing (story spoilers): || Got a blood moon after completing the first ganondorf fight where we learned zelda was an imposter, zelda disappeard from narrating the blood moon, now it's just quiet respawing of the monsters during the cinematic ||
that's cool, yeah, but imagine if: ||instead of fake zelda, we got Matt Mercer Ganondorf narrating it all smugly||
||heeeeeeh||
||Better yet, dehyrdrated Matt Mercer Ganondorf.||
Fierce Deity Fi
Nice! Source?
source is the first link if you google image search it, first result with saucenao.com as well
@glossy dock and @leaden oracle artist seems to be Onisuu. There's a watermark signature on her skirt, just to the left of the front armor plate
It was unreadable
Also arent you not supposed to post if you dont have a source link
I'm the one that posted it. And I was paying attention. I hoped somebody else would do the reverse image search, then post the name of the artist. If that hadn't happened, I would have personally searched for the artist.
Also, tbh
It really wasn't that difficult to find or read the name. I found it in like 5 seconds, when I actually took the time to look for it. I was just being lazy originally.... So
anything on a source on this one or are we suppose to search all the Tims ourselves? Kind of a bad look when mods don't follow the servers own rules and leaves it for others to pick up the slack
after finding that gif from above im now going to forever haunt this channel with it now
cause seriously the hell
just finding this was a gem
proceeds to save it on computer for easier access
Gurm is going to hate me more for this
https://tineye.com/search/5e1c92b0c33924606a8adb49b3e6616c20ed547e?sort=score&order=desc&page=1 take your pick
TinEye is an image search and recognition company. We are experts in computer vision, pattern recognition, neural networks, and machine learning.
yes, I know how to reverse image search
I don't do the reverse image searching myself, because I'm notoriously bad at it. I find numerous entries like this, or I source the wrong artist, etc
that's why I tend to leave it to you guys, unless it hasn't been done at all
that and if the image is from pinterest it can be absoulutely impossible most of the time to find a source
but the server rules require accreditation if you are going to post folks creative works, rule C2. I feel like if you are not confident you can give credit where it's due, then perhaps it's not worth posting in the first place, or at least making it clear you are looking for the source. Saying you just aren't going to do it because you'll let someone else follow the rules or do it for you or because it's hard seems to be against the point of the rule
Second one has the signature in the bottom-left so it fits the rules, first one didn't and should have been searched, but it was quickly recitifed after being pointed out
I'm not saying I'm not going to do it, I'm saying, I'm bad at it, so leave me as the last choice.
I mean; yeah i was just like hey isnt that against the rules
no I won't. link being link doesn't hurt me
yeah thats just link going around having a day
I'm just wondering where the "stand back I'm gonna jutsu this guy" pic came from
Fuel for my belief that BoTW and ToTK are soft reboots of the series
i was already thinking this when it seemed to me at least to be a different timeline/branch
The only thing I'm not sure of, is where the soft reboot happened. If it was BoTW, then most likely ToTK exists as an alternate timeline, explaining why the Divine beasts and shiekah tech disappears. And if the reboot happened on ToTK, then that makes the most sense, but sort of invalidates BoTW, which is annoying
i wonder if there is an explaination cause there is a journel talking about how purah recovers from child form
so breath of the wild did happen for her
oh i might of found something cause it was so easily corrupted zelda ordered it all to be dismantled
I mean, the Shiekah Tech didnt disappear entirely.
The Skyview Towers use Shiekah Tower terminals and Guardian limbs.
cause remember ganon straight up won at first by turning it all against the hylians
There is also still a ruined Guardian on top of the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab, in Hateno.
And a Korok on top of that ruined Guardian, just like in BotW.
ok so now we got that problem fixed remember to shove this down throats when people complain or ask about it
Except the vast majority of it did disappear, the Divine beasts are gone, several of the shrines are just straight up holes straight to the Depths. If ToTK is a soft reboot, replacing the majority of the Sheikah tech with Zonai tech, making the Sheikah tech still exist just in a more limited capacity, makes sense
Like, instead of a legion of guardians, they were more like special forces, a small number of highly advanced bots/tech etc
like i said i think zelda straight up dismantled them cause they are literally shown to be compromised
they had all these robots built and ready then bam immediately got corrupted and started destroying the kingdom
Also you can see that they have been re-used in the towers
especially when you first get launched and guardian legs come out
the emperor banned abominable intelligences after the men of iron rebelled I thought everyone knew that
Ultrahandy: Link and Pikachu are already pros with their Ultrahands, while the Smash Bros. Ganondorf is having a harder time in their Tears of the Kingdom Adventure aka a series of super smash bros ultimate x zelda tears of the kingdom comic dubs.

i cant even argue this cause hyrule is older then the imperium of man

Question : why do all adult female characters sound like they are about to go full „Ara Ara“ on Link ?
my only answer is this
i was told that the sound acting thats not in cutscenes is the japanese version
Is that confirmed? Imperium reached 40k, was that confirmed for Hyrule? Best grasp on time is a century or two between the majority of reincarnations, and 10,000 years between the last Calamity and present.
Just wanting to know if it was confirmed Hyrule has existed longer than 40k.
Yeah most people do, but one of em lived, and is still around.
yes in breath of the wild impa literally tells the tale of the first battle against calamity ganon saying it occurred 10,000 years ago and when she tells it she says at that point in time the kingdom of hyrule was already a flourishing advanced civilisation
also the imperium isnt 40k years old its 10k age
in warhammer 40k is basically saying its roughly 40,000 years from our real world current point
Fair point to both of those. But it doesn't actually answer my question. 'Flourishing civilization' says nothing about timeframe, and the question in this case was, ' Is Hyrule confirmed older than 40k?
We know that there are a handful of confirmed dates. The Heroes themselves. Between them, we can account for roughly 1,000 years, then add another couple thousand for the knowledge that, usually, it was about 150 to 200 years between Ganon reincarnations. Let's, for the sake of argument, round that up to 15,000 years. Even with the 10,000 year sealing of Calamity Ganon, something noted to be an extreme outlier, that's only 25,000. Roughly
she literally says I will now tell you the tale of what occurred 10,000 years ago and then it transitions to her saying hyrule was then blossoming as a highly advanced civilisation, so hyrule is at least older then 10,000 years considering we dont even know how far into the past zelda was sent to encounter Rauru etc
Meh
I just don't think we have enough information to say whether Hyrule has existed for 40k.
i was never saying 40k
i was saying its older then 10,000 years hence being older then the imperium
cause the imperium is only 10,000 years old
link is lion el jonson
wasn't there a thing about every game set before BotW/TotK happened so long ago they're now myths and legends
no idea cause technically in breath of the wild/tears of the kingdom ||ganondorf was however the hell long ago the founding was and was sealed till the event of Tears of the kingdom happened||
Alright. That's fair. However, at this point, my question is only related to you, in that you made me think of it. "Is Hyrule confirmed older than 40k?" It appears, that the answer might be yes, might be no.
that final boss sequence was epic
ssshhhh I haven't gotten anywhere close yet (still only two sages)
I said as much as I will without spoiler tags
sorry for the accidental tag, just curious to see how you fell about the main story line when you finish it
no idea cause we aint got any idea at all of the length of time between the 10,000 year event and the founding of hyrule
I definitely wouldn't mind an amendment to the history of hyrule/zelda book they released
i think it would be ending up different its just a matter of where it branches off from
where do y'all go to farm high level construct bits? I got the mighty zonai swords but no captain level whatever bits to put on them
The temples
the proving grounds shrines are nice - you don't keep drops on the first pass, but after completing, when you revisit you keep your gear and the subsequent drops
by mighty zonai sword thats just the handle bits right?
yes
all i can say is apparently there is a captain 4 on the tutorial island if unless there are higher level captain constructs for bits
oh yeah the tutorial island should have plenty of robots
from what i saw one is near the the south part of the island
i also have no idea about respawn rates for constructs
they respawn with the blood moon
indeed
I need LOW level stuff , anybody got a place for that ? scour the starting island and shrines ?
lvl 1 horns
I sold all mine.. same for other low level mob stuff
For armor upgrades..
this is captains right just to double check?
1s
for starters great sky island
as well
the zonai armor set needs 15 each of soldiers 1-4 horns and captains 1-3
the stuff I was seeing was pointing towards the proving ground things abit like james already said
that and completed proving gross grounds shrines
finally got the ||fierce deity|| sword and the ||white sword of the sky|| and what the hell do you mean they're also breakable
controller battery died as I was falling down a chasm. frantically mashing the 'open glider' button wondering why it didn't respond. splat.
Lmao
I had a button get stuck and do the same thing to me
if you talk to the poe statue, they should be purchasable with poe spirits, and poes actually respond in the depths it looks like
I know that for the ||White sword of the sky|| You gotta get the materials again and go to the place you get the first one
I will absolutely never be doing that. Into the display stand it goes!
i think most of the other special weapons are buyable from poe statues tho
worst come to worst just feed it to an octorock to fix it
the champion weapons you can just, make new ones too iirc but like
diamonds
I occasionally get them through amiibo rewards
I'm using the rito champion bow because I am a shameful gamer and haven't killed a lynel yet
Duplex bow is my go to non lynel
All Amiibo stuff is repurchasable at the poes
Its just that non amiibo users can get them ingame through quests or treasure chests
Including the weapons mentioned before
not to mention the amiibo only provide a single chance at the drop a day, while a reasonable amount of poe gathering gets you a guaranteed buy at the poe statue
||apparently you can manually adjust the system clock, and reuse the amiibo cards by adding 25 hrs to the clock after you get done with a stack of amiibos||
not a fan of that sort of method
if I really wanted to, I could save my amiibo to my flipper zero, modify the data block so it shows a new UUID for the amiibo, and make effectively multiple copies of the amiibo if it was that big an issue
Fair, I only bring it up because I just found out about it
I don't go looking for exploits or cheats like that, but my buddy was telling me about it today when I brought my switch in and was showing him my amiibo cards
nods
the amiibo itself is like 137 bytes of data in the NTAG215, with 8 bytes identifying the type of amiibo (is it skyward link, champion revali, etc.) The rest act as a finger print to ID the amiibo, since it will let you scan two of the same type on the same day.
Huh
yep
Its literally just a small NFC device , nothing more
yes, specifically a NTAG215 device
which I should correct has 540 bytes
NTAG213 was the smaller capacity one
to be specific because my ADHD brain wants to clarify: NFC is the protocol for two devices to speak with short range wireless, while NTAG# is a specification for a passive (unpowered) tag that can be read/write to using NFC.
neato
for example, NFC is used when doing the two phone sharing by touching their backs
as well as between the phone and reader for wireless pay
ah yes. my newest horror and fear.
wireless pay, and tap to pay.
device to device can send tonnes of data back and forth, and it's encrypted, which is why you need to unlock the phone and provide the pass code. For credit cards, those are passive and I keep mine with chips in foil sleeves
I haven't gone THAT far, I just dont use tap to pay.
nods
so all that being said, it's not hard to buy a bunch of blank NTAG215 off amazon, and using an NFC app on your phone to make Amiibo tags that work with Zelda
with the full time day job, it saved a lot of ingredient farming/grinding
yeah, probably aint a bad idea to just get a big chain of those and mark em each as an amibo so that I can just technically have all of them
i have know how to get those amiibo files too for emulation which is a funny thing
so on a random note i think the first sage of water was called Ruto
mainly from something i just read
in breath of the wild
could be wrong could be right who knows
Ruto was the ocarina of time water sage
Yeah it is said to be her at least in name
Also it is said that there are more Zora Domains outside Hyrule
Hyrule is just one Kingdom after all
now I'm picturing a picture of a planet with a tiny dot labelled "all goddess hylia interventions happen in this area"
or "here is hated by Ganondorf"
well thing i was reading just before that i randomly found spoke if a sage that appeared long long ago and that the divine beast Ruta was built in honor of them
so it wouldnt surprise me if that was the first sage of waters name when she and the rest had faced ganondorf that first time
Ruto is probably named@after the first water sage
Just like Rauru from OOT probably was named after BOTW rauru
Makes sense Ruto was named after an ancient water sage
"rauru was always a hot dragon-goat guy with short lil legs what are you talking about"
its so weird talking about inherited names from new characters to the older ones
im never not going to find that hand gesture to be weird
cause to me that means shooing someone way not come here
man it's so weird going to other games after a long TOTK session and having to rewire your brain to consider a roof as an obstacle
"oh hey this way terminates in a roof, that must be the way to go! [bonks head]"
it's the cancel/confirm button switch that messes with my brain

After all, banans in Donkey Kong games rotate.
Banans in BotW/TotK do not.

Comedy story idea
Link finds and eats Capone's Castle fruit. Nothing else of One Piece, just that. He figures out what it does, thinks about it for a second, then says 'Fuck it, I'm the Temple now'. Makes all his enemies fight the the Courage Temple Gauntlet, where all the enemies are kid Links, all the Mini bosses are Adult Links, and the Final Temple boss is just straight up Fierce Deity Link.
I admittedly don't remember all the specifics of the fruit, but it's making me laugh just thinking about it

One of the comments raised an interesting point
i remember seeing this
What if the reason Link is always silent, is because anytime he talks about the legitimate things he does, like talk to the Goddess Statue, kill armies of Moblins, lift multi ton boulders and move faster than a laser beam, and nobody believes him
Purah is one of the few exceptions so far
That would honestly be hilarious
wait what you mean by lifting ton boulders unless you mean like stuff with his magic Tears hand
and faster then laser beam
Link as a small kid.... "Dad , dad, little Joha was bullying me, and then he went to push me, but then everything sloooowed waaaay down, and then I pushed him and he went super far and landed in the grass!" ' sure, sure Link. That's very nice, my boy'
proceeds to show dad
Canonically, all those traps with lasers in the old games, are actual light speed. Link is capable of reacting and dodging them something which is carried over to all his incarnations to some degree.
Fair
but yeh if i was a kid and learnt to fire laser magic and told my parents and they didnt believe me i would proceed to show them right then and there
Yeah, all on his own, Link is supposed to be canonically ridiculously strong and fast, in the old games that got increased by the power glove or bracelet, allowing you to lift boulders that were larger than link was tall, and a magic upgrade to the gauntlet to pick up even heavier boulders. One of the enemies you can fight is an eye on a statue that fires a laser at you if you enter it's eyesight, but you can dodge it, even at close range. And it's canonically light speed. All those feats of incredible motion where time slows down? That's not time slowing down, that's Link just fucking blazing through the motions faster than anything else can react
dont forget you can deflect lasers in breath of the wild
My point exactly
You can react, and interact, and dodge or redirect a laser, moving at light speed, in BoTW
though than again he might not be experiencing things slowly but is like a falcon
and the slow mo is just for us to able to react like him
And that's not increased by anything like the power glove or bracelet which increases links strength
But my point
cause i have yet to even experience this slow mo that real life humans can encounter in dangerous moments
Is that now I have the head canon that he experiences a slight Flash Speed thinking problem
And that's why he's always quiet
also there is the stuff the shika and yiga are pulling off too
Tbf, that's it's own issue. Aside from Ocarinas weird green puddles in Kakariko, we've got exactly zero explanation for the Sheikah abilities, and now the Yiga, besides magic
yiga are basically sheikah going bad
And that's fine, but it's not the same as Links reaction speed lol
I almost always had a royal claymore with a very high level damage effect on it in my inventory. Anytime I got attacked by a Yiga, I just had to wait for pop as they teleport above and near you for the charge attack, and one shot them. Just got to dodge the wind cleaver enemy in the back attacking with the vacuum blade
i just bombed them
i used bombs to fight basically everything that isnt a laser robot or sleeping
I've always been bad at using consumables
i greatly enjoyed just sneaking up to a sleeping boy and smack them
I tend to pick people off in a group, or juggernaut the whole camp
i just throw bombs
Food ftw
i also have too much extreme healing foods and cause im only 4 or 5 hearts i never used them

Lmao
im only alive in alot of cases cause i have too many fairies
i still have probably 3 or more in my bag
add that to now i have miphas grace
im basically carrying some strong weapons but never use them
and also have a frost spear for when i finally go to the volcano
Actually pro tip for cooking restoration foods
be it stamina or health just use one single ingredient for increasing max health/stamina
they act as full restore
bust into the rito store. GIVE ME ALL THE HEARTY SALMON YOU HAVE
ive been basically gollum when it comes to fish in breath of the wild
cause ive basically cooked to the point of being full of extremely high heart stuff and im careful with my hearts cause im so few i have plenty of resources to decide what to cook
when i get more hearts that is to warrant the use of my extreme food

say salmon meunière one more time
when it told me i had to sacrifice my fish to upgrade the zora armor my god
the armor upgrades are so weird because I always feel paradoxically like my inventory is full of tons of unnecessary crap I have no use for while also not having the upgrade mats
for second there i thought this change vanished
Dragon broke something didn't she
and that's it, 120 lightroots doooooone
I might be about ready to start fighting lynels and gleeoks
finished! at last, I am free! and my god that was a satisfying, satisfying final boss
right?
But what about all the Koroks and Shrines and Lightroots and World-bosses and Bubbelgems? :P
@sour anchor do you still think || They "fridged" zelda? ||
@weak ember well I ||recant it, though in the end, I still wish she had more screentime that was not in a flashback and/or as a vehicle||
