I have learned something very interesting! Past SL 306, all invasions, arenas, etc, are mulched together.

So…. This means I can still quite easily find people to invade, or help, or anything else.

So that’s nice.

so, someone I invaded tried to do the classic invasion cheese of technically being in lernia while actually being in jarburg (which prevents invaders from physically getting to them)

little did they know I always carry a greatbow..... and shot their face until they died.

when their AFK session is over..... well..... they're not gonna have as much as they though they would.

400K souls for that so.... worth it.

I mean I spent 5.6K on arrows but what can you do about that. good ol radahn spears. some of the best in the biz.

in the meanwhile Ive discovered my favorite weapon of bonkage. the Golems Halberd.

with my stats a base power of 903, with so much room from buffs

with my ash of war I can do..... I think the highest Ive seen was 1203ish damage to face? aka 70% of most peoples healthbars

and even on heavily armoured targets its easily still 900 which will be nearly half

Drink the flask to be immune to phase transition. Dodge the blood flame. MURDER HIM.

Maybe it was my build. Idk. I found the fight to be a simple tank n spank even in higher NGs where he can get real scary.

well that was a fun invasion. the opposing avatar slid around. I randomly instantly bled out, and there was a 10 second delay between every action. how the hell is a connection like that considered stable enough to be on the pvp servers.

Honestly a lot of people I know have asked to have a ! On new items because they sometimes pick stuff up during fight or skip the pickup menu so it’s easy losing track of what the mcguffin you just picked up was

note how the pike is still a good hunk further than even Gransax's spear, which is one of the more common spears you see at my SL.

Godfreys great rune, +5 to all, while good, once you are at a high enough level should no longer be your go to.

by high enough level I mean once you get 50 or 60 in your primary stats.

but I just..... I see people constantly continuing to use it beyond that. once you hit soft cap in your main stats.... I just.... swap to Radahns. please.

the small scaling boost you get from godfreys is just not worth losing out on bonus health, stamina, and FP.

#

sure the health boost isn't the greatest, and depending on how you statted yourself potentially Godfrey can get you more, but its a focused boost on your outputs rather than just blanketly spreading stats around everywhere. if you need those 5 stats to cast something, we have the graphted greatsword to give you those 5 stats for 60 seconds.

seriously when I was doing the faram azula dragon fight with the birds right before it they were a nightmare. I honestly truly dread that some DLC area will have small ledges to make you think you are safe, and ruin your day.

||so the interesting part of the fight for me is my golem halberd can stagger just about anything, EXCEPT, this guy when 2 handing his sword took 2 hits instead of 1 and it took me a while to crack that. Such a fun fight.||

I see they use a repeating stone texture for their map-void. Because that's 1000% the map for some reason loading way away from the actual map, and showing the "void" background rather than the intended backgrounds for unrevealed sections.

discovered new spell ||bear roar spell.... its dirt cheap but..... for the cast time (at MAX CAST SPEED) its damage is just.... so bad. maybe it has marginal PvP uses? I just.... Greyolls Roar is about the same casting speed and sure it costs around 2.5x fp but..... for what it does its so much better.||

||Commander Gaius is just such a nightmare of a boss. specifically his opening charge that just nails you if you do not roll through it perfectly. only way I beat him was I ran away in phase 2 and let mimic tear face tank because my god sweet jesus Tear got TANKY from DLC upgrades, and then yeeted fireballs at him till he died. occationally rarely going in myself to try and do some damage.||

interesting note on DLC progression/boss spoilers ||for how absolutely hyped up mesmer was, he seems to have been the midboss. a forced progression moment that loops all players back into one location from the spread out reaches of the shadow lands. sure he's a bit tough but..... look when I think final DLC boss I think sister fride. he was no sister fride. no boss in my entire souls experience has come close to the crushing horror of fighting fride. she picked you apart piece by piece until nothing of your build was left to fend against her. so..... idk. maybe Ill see something like that later. some hidden boss or somethin.||

then move on

try to stay within 1 softcap level of each other when upgrading stuff. so if you have something at 60 get another thing to 60 before pushing for 80 and the like

Im at 45 and its sufficient, you dont have that many levels to also cover nicer weapons if you just pump hp beginning of ng0
But its also a bit subjective im a spreader not dumper

||Bayle's Tyrany. Its basically a super roar that does stupid damage and is big and boomy and anime and stuff and its just so cool and it does much big damage and gives you super armour while you use it and OOOH I LOVE IT SO MUCH||

weapon spoiler ||a dedicated trade weapon.... that might be a bit terrifying in PvP. someone who can almost garuntee they WILL hit you. sure theyll take more damage but I can just see the berserker setups in lower levels of someone with just a ton of armour and health, charge at you with this, and taking you out at the knees||

Armour spoilers (related to weapon) ||the red armour you see to the side? yeah all of that increases damage taken, but increases damage dealt. each piece individually. I just..... this stuff is so cool.||
