Just a pretty rare random event that can happen. You need a gold pickaxe to mine it. It gives some iridum and a ||25% chance at prismatic shard||
You could always just keep it there and build around it as a decoration too, it never goes away unless you mine it.

Speed-gro is a fertilizer that causes crops to grow faster, while forgetting to water crops halts their growth

is there a way to remove the extra cabin in multiplayer without permanently removing its player from the game? we dont use that cabin for anything so its just a small extra annoyance for when they pass out

Otherwise, you may be able to move it to a part of your farm that isn't occupied by much at the moment.

Just to elaborate;
When you interact with a farm animal, it can tell you its mood i.e. (name) is very happy today.
If the mood is below ~70, the text'll say (name) is sad.
While it not being fed isn't the only factor for having low mood, it's typically the main reason for most occasions.
Along with that, when you pet them too, it shows a speech bubble indicating at them being upset, with the reason being starved.

If you want to avoid depriving your farm animal of food, buy a silo along with hay to supplement your lacking supply.
With a silo, you can have a source of hay to as back-up to feed animals with, but also allows grants a chance to give you hay upon cutting grass with a scythe.
In addition to that, it's highly recommended you let them outside, preferably with grass around for them to feed on. If they feed on the grass, it not only boosts their mood and friendship, but also means they won't snack on your reserve of hay.

Since this should be the stage where you focus on learning the game rather than decorating

1. Decorating is endgame content IMO, but you can still work on decorating while developing your farm.
2. Highly recommend looking at designs from other players and taking inspiration to design your own thing.
