You can make thousands early game from fishing, I recommend giving it a shot

Yeahh fishing too much is a really great early game strategy to make money especially with the ||fish smoker|| in 1.6

Starfruits are still better, you can easily squeeze at least 100k by summer by just fishing and nothing else. Rush a ||fish smoker|| (or two), rush the burglar's ring and then just farm dust sprites every 3-4 days and you can easily make 10-20k a day by just fishing
