The TV will tell you when "Salmonberry Season" starts. When it does, make sure to venture out every day of the season, to all corners of the map except the beach, to gather salmonberries by shaking the bushes with the pink berries on them.
These aren't worth much for selling but they are a good early game food to keep you energized and healthy until you can get better foods.

You might be able to do so with a keyboard emulator. I use one for my Xbox One controller because I hate the default keybindings for controllers in-game. So I have my own custom keybindings.

The part about hammers that makes them great is the "special", which does bigger damage and sends enemies all around flying.

The "special" for swords is just blocking, which is not very useful most of the time, but i find use for it when switching between food and wanting to block incoming fast enemies quickly but am busy recharging the hammer special, or the hammer swing just won't be fast enough.

It's pretty niche. Swords are straightforward.

man you guys are talking about barn and animals, ık ım just started to play but ı guess ım making major mistakes ı cant save any money even if ı only have total 24 corps to harvest, 8 of them goes to eat for my energy , couple goes to gift to villagers and barely 100g worth left to sell T-T

i suggest maybe fishing.. that’s how i started to make a decent amount of money when i started out

if you enjoy farming more, that’s totally okay! just a suggestion to maybe get some extra cash.. i dunno how agreed upon that is but personally it helped me*

i never ate my crops! sell them 100% and go forage for early energy. i sell a majority of my fish and keep some for potential quests in a chest but i spent most of my early game days planting, watering and then right to the fishing stuff

salmonberries for spring are a huge win for early energy thats completely free :o

Standard farm i'm fairly sure you cannot get fish no matter what. Forest farm, wilderness, riverland, hilltop, beach, you can all get fish. Might be forgetting something. Ah, four corners as well.
