I created a new farm for the 1.5 update and my bed is invisible? I'm using the same mods as I have been for 1.4 so I'm not sure if it's a bug with being able to move the bed or not? Is this happening to anyone else?
I havent tried the solution sent by one of the commentors tho

also the recipes that call for a banana instead call for the sapling instead so idk if thats a bug or not
might be fixed by removing and reinstalling the mods (and using the individual mods instead of the mega pack possibly). banana for example became a native game item and you might still have the files that try to add it for the ppja pack

hello all, I've been trying use make marlon real and make gunther real, and before that I had befriend marlon and gunther, and all three have the same problem with their walking animation not working, instead they either just slide sideways from one point to another or are blinking as they move. because it happened with both mods I'm wondering if it's something on my part. all other modded npcs I have walk just fine, as did marlon and gunther when I was using SVE (I'm using a new save now, not the same that had sve running)

I saw in the comments of one of the two mods that someone said that the latest version was missing the tmxl file
right. marlon has a tmxl and cp file, gunther has only cp. but they're both blinking.
if they were updated to use CP spouse rooms I wouldn't expect a TXML component anymore

I also tried to compare the sprite sheets of SVE and these two mods and don't see any obvious discrepancies

(faster animations is amazing. set it just like a bit above default speeds and it feels amazing. i dont like the default speeds the mod comes with, they are too fast. basically animation canceling speed)
now idea honestly, none of them should do that.
on your mod list tho, i recommend "walk of life" instead of skill prestige. it comes with prestige options aswell but also give you much more intresting level 10 skills to play around with compared to the vanilla game, aswell as lets you make a level 5 and 10 even better if you prestiged 4 times in a given profession. it just doesnt work with your luck skill mod i think.

Hello I'm back with a visual bug I found while playing a new (heavily modded) game. I'd appreciate if someone can guess what mod may be causing this:
could it be pastoral recolor?

as i said, we were looking at the same chest and sold items screens
in the same multiplayer game
and the items were different
even if, a shuffle shouldnt even interfere with both seeing different things
so that seems like a mod is adding items in a non-compatible way
it would still be the same shuffled items
If I had to guess, some recolor doing things strangely.
I found the fix in the chat logs so if anyone's looking later, yes it's a pastoral recolor bug and there should be a fix on the nexus page of the mod.

Hi, I just had a question in case anybody knew a fix to it... I have been getting lots of frame skips / lag spikes when playing Stardew modded, this doesn't happen in the normal game, and it isn't because my memory / CPU. My computer can handle it with ease, it just skips frames still, though.

Vibrant Pastoral Recolour for SVE was made for one of the older versions (I think even before the Nexus Questline), so all the Recolours are still made for the old look of the buildings and not the new one.
Afaik Earthy has an SVE version from a different Modder (that also reverts to the old look of the waterfalls), Wittily also has separate files for SVE (but you have to overwrite SVE assets and that's always a bit iffy)
Does anyone know how to fix json shuffle? It's only on my multiplayer world where my friends see the same thing but its totally different to me.

Maybe you missed a few shuffled items? Fish Ponds get affected too. And they are easily overlooked if you have them hooked up to automate
I do have automate, but I mean I started this world with them and we all have the same json mods (mostly PPJA icons and shit thats the main problem)
Hm, honestly I have no idea about Multiplayer. Usually the shuffle should stop if all affected items are gone for all players.
And if you made sure your mods match

Hello! I'm having trouble with content patcher suddenly. Both ncps i changed were loading in perfectly fine but now i get "[Content Patcher] Two content packs want to load the 'Data/NPCDisposition". It's asking me to remove one of them now
Earthy Recolour works for Vanilla, SVE (as a separate mod) and for RSV and East Scarp. I'm not sure about DTZ.
earthy recolor should be compatible with pretty much anything i think. its being kept up to date (tho you have to download a fix for SVE waterfall tiles which is linked in the comments by the author)

The bug is still here after hitting F11 on both pastoral and earthy recolor. I have also noticed an animation glitch with my character's face when it's moving horizontally to the left (Earthy mod only).
if it's there when you hit F11, it's not SpriteMaster.
F11 disables (almost) all of SpriteMaster's functionality
I suspect that this visual bug isn't caused by the recolor effect or SpriteMaster. Maybe it's Ferngill Weather or DynamicNightTime

the fog layer DOES have some issues with SpriteMaster, but not that
(mainly banding issues because xBRZ does not work well with gradients)

My guess is you have a CP mod map patching around Linus' tent (and it's patching the alwaysfront2 layer for some reason). Not sure which one.

You can turn off the fog effect in SVE
(that affects all maps, not just the mountain)

They restarted their computer and this error crops up now.
If the mod.isn't careful and not doing patch by layer, would it screw up any of the additional layers no matter what you number them?
No, the issue is the mod is overwriting AlwaysFront2, which is the layer the mist effects patch. (Doesn't matter now, I'll patch a different layer)

Is this the new version of PPJA which uses Dynamic Game Assets? DGA bypasses the normal item system, so unfortunately its items won't work with most other mods. There are changes in the next game version that'll allow much better compatibility of custom item mods though (once they're migrated to the new system).

No, it's still there, i can also visit it. It crashed after going to bed on a day i did nothing regarding DeepWoods. A few days earlier i could go into DeepWoods and save normally

@lavish marlin I found this animation bug it doesn't occur with F11. It happens only when walking horizontally to the left.

So, it's occurring because UI Info Suite is requesting a dialogue box that is 160px tall, when they only want 64. Now, why the game itself handles this properly... I'm investigating.

You should be able to opt out of the compatibility branch if your computer is not either of those things

because they were passing an outrageous height, it caused the destination rect's extent to be negative on the Y axis

Hello, I had a very strange bug that wiped most of my save file. When I tried to parse the log I got an error from SMAPI "The page was not displayed because the request entity is too large." I was playing on multiplayer with stardew valley expanded and my partner and I were in the skull caverns. We had updated almost all our mods earlier in the day and everything was smooth. She got mysteriously kicked at ~12:00 AM so I finished the run and passed out. We hadn't sold anything so it skipped straight to 6am and everything was fine. However, when I reopened the world, it had been reset to Spring 1 Year 1 (said so on the calendar in town it was early winter year 4 before that) and certain things were reset while others weren't. My inventory, skills, friendship wallet, and quest log were all perfectly intact (although meet everybody and grow some parsnips quests were readded to my quest log). Grandpa's shed and the quest board in town were also still there. I didn't explore every corner, but it seemed like anything tied to my character was still there while the world itself had been completely reset. Everything that had been placed or destroyed was reverted. When I attempted to show the invite code to let my partner in to check her character, it hung on the connecting page for a few minutes before we gave up. The farmname_7349225_old file was messed up too.

if you delete a mod that uses MFM and run smapi without it, will all the mail you got disappear/start over ?
i believe the mail flags indicating you got the mail stick around
since MFM just patches the vanilla mail system
so the mail will stick around in the collections tab but the mailbox notif will start over again ?
no, it will vanish out of the collections tab
but when you reinstall the mod it will remember you got the mail and notresend
mail flags (records of sent mail) can actually be any string, so SMAPI doesn't remove them or really keep track at all afaik
You could try going into MFM and changing the unique ID of the mail, but I have no idea of other components of the mod reference that unique iD
For example, in a mod I made, several things get unlocked by receiving mail
So if you change the mail ID, none of that gets unlocked
But maybe this mod is only sending items/information?
I don't use F2F and both the original author and current maintainer are retired

I'm really not sure what happened there. It might be an odd interaction between CC and events, since there's extra collision logic that happens during them (checking actors, etc). It's a fairly long check, so it's hard to say without testing.
I'm fairly certain FTM's patch there didn't affect it, though. It's an optimization prefix that either skips the method entirely (meaning that event method wouldn't have started) or does nothing.

Mail ids will be saved forever in the save file, but the collection tab will only show MFM mails while you have it installed.
Recipe learned will be learned forever too, but they will only show on the recipe menu if you keep the mods that add them installed, but MFM is not required for this.
Most likely, since it seems like the save file itself had something terrible happen to it
I can't parse the errors, and neither could atravita, which is pretty unusual

You can use Advanced Save Backup
Automatically backs up your saves when loading the game and every night when you sleep.
MFM has a console command that erase mails from the mailReceived list, so you can receive them again.

so you can add a dependency to the manifest (set isRequired to false), or put z at the front of the folder name (as SMAPI currently loads mods in alphabetical order if there's no dependencies)

currently the only way is manual as far as i know (it's suggested for windows as well due to problems mod managers tend to have with SDV). the stardrop mod manager might work for some managing, but i don't think it can update mods yet

i guess it depends on what the cause of the problem is. if ace's house doesn't use the native asset that the cozy chicken mod modifies, then you'd have to modify the house map itself. but have you tried to set a manifest dependency? renaming mod folders isn't too reliable and using a manifest dependency should do it if the house uses the native asset

i don't know if there's a good guide to it, but in this case you'd want to add a dependency to the manifest.json file of the cozy kitchen mod, and the dependency should use the unique id of the ace's house mod (probably the content patcher part if it has multiple) https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Modder_Guide/APIs/Manifest this has a section on how to set the dependencies but it's not a guide really

Is my NPC and pet always asleep on the floor? (in the picture) in spite of having a bed As for me, I was still able to go to bed as usual, but when I woke up in the morning I showed up to NPC sleeping too.

I should note that I removed the Kitchen png files from the ace house to see if that would help (it didn't)

ah okay (for Wingheart, my theory is that the FarmHouse2 map of ace's house doesn't use that native asset. if it uses, then setting a manifest dependency should fix it)
(i don't think i've ever used house replacers and i'm unfamiliar with how they work but it does make sense for it to be using some modded asset that doesn't care about replacers)

i don't see anything obvious, so better to describe the problem again and ask it in this channel generally (now that the log works normally you might have better luck)
I have challenging community center bundles installed. Everything was fine before, but now for some reason after it updated I'm guessing, something is going on because in one of the bundles its missing an item. It just shows a blank space. I have a mod called item bags, I have a community center bundle and it shows that blank item as an error item. Some other items in my chests are being shown as something they arent. Like some flowers I had turned into some kinda coffee with the flowers negative stamina effect if you eat them.

spouse patio wizard also allows you to change it i think.
you can move patios around with it, and create them custom locations aswell as change them
welp i give up. even with the whole dependency stuff added it still doesn't show up.
