It is possible it's a problem with Linux, though in theory you should be able to mod on Linux

Multiplayer hub in particular seems like it could cause issues
Try taking out Multiplayer Hub and Placement Plus and see if it still errors
(Not knocking the mod, just that multiplayer is a fairly complex thing)

Well, my personal guess is that that one is the one least likely to be the source of the issue since it's quite popular, which is why I suggest taking out the other two that are crashing to see if GMCM still crashes.
But it's possible that just all 3 are broken on Linux, hard to say
Since most mod authors probably don't have access to multiple computers, it's likely that they don't have the capacity to test on all possible systems

I'm not sure how to really use the mods since when I launch it says it isn't working, I also downloaded smapi from the official website
smapi doesn't go in the Mods folder. YOu need to unzip it somewhere else and open it to create the mods folder (which it looks like you may have actually done if Content Patcher is working?
the Portraits mod looks to me like either a xnb mod or one that is deisnged to be dropped into another mod folder. WIll need more details to clarify

Firstly you cannot use two different portrait mods together easily.
And the anime mod is a xnb one and they should be avoided.
Or use the lower one on the anime one that seems to be a content patcher one.
There's a comment in the posts tab of the anime one with some fairly detailed instructions on how to make it work with Content Patcher, but it sounds like it's by no means a great "my first mod" experience
But you will need to choose one or other as if you mix them both outfits and portraits will not match

^Technically I think you can tweak the Seasonal Outfits one to only do sprites but that's probably also a bit tricky (and then as you say, they won't match)
Only fix is reinstalling windows.

In general I would expect an SVE save to load slowly

Artisan Equipment for Sale (one of my mods) lets you buy sprinklers from Pierre every Thursday if you have high enough friendship, and it lets you buy other vanilla equipment / machines from the other shop owners on Thursday.

Alternatively, CJB Cheats Menu has an easier option for adding money.

Today I increase my luck to level 1000+ to see what effect if has on everything. Results vary. I always try to play the game with the most luck possible because it just helps everything. More treasure chests fishing, more crops when harvesting, more ladders and everything while mining and the list goes on. Stardew Valley gameplay with my comment...

just slower to load through smapi just to play vanilla lol

I think an experience a lot of people have is they discover that mods give you so much power, go a bit power mad, and then realize it's not actually much fun to be omnipotent
And spending about a year in-game before deciding how much power you want gives you a little more perspective
There's also a big risk of spoilers if you start getting into modding
In the end, it's 100% your choice when to start with mods. I recommend starting once you at least feel that you have a grip on what you like and want to see differently in the game. It's good to experience what the vanilla game has to offer, but if I'm being honest, I started modding earlier than most people do, though still in my second year. There's a lot of factors and it's just... Do what's gonna make the game most fun for you.
i really reccomend the diversity sdv mod
I actually have installed a few QOL mods that don't impact the game too much but just add convenience like XP bars
it makes the game a little bit more alive tbh
starting off w/ mods that add clothes and reskins is the best way to go!
if you just want a different look, you can download a texture mod thingy
i would 100% not recommend sve or ridgeside

hey, how do i fix Json assets load orders
want to play multiplayer modded with my brother but items show up as something different when I host or he hosts.
(for example i plant a parsley from fruits and veggies ppja and it shows up as a pearlpea from starbound valley for him)
Make sure you have exactly the same mod folders
Also you might need to delete all the objects and put them back if you're experiencing the json shuffle

I'm not sure for the others but in my experience, it won't crash the game but the mods won't work until you restart the game

It looks broken because Robin needs to fix it first with the materials you gathered. Rustic Interior shouldn't interfere with that.

Rustic Country Town Interior should be mostly compatible with SVE. I used it and the only issue I had were the custom tilesheets that didn't get overwritten. But that didn't stop the game from working.
To me it just looks like you haven't completed the Quests yet, so I don't understand what the issue is.

as i can see which version i'm on i tried to download the beta once and i couldn't so i gave up and tried to go back to what i was before then the mods stopped working
Okay, if you don't have the beta you need to try SMAPI 3.12.7
It is possible the error you are getting comes from having a mismatch between SMAPI and Stardew Valley
Okay so the root problem here is that you apparently were at least partially successful in installing the beta
You can either figure out how to finish/correctly install the beta, or you can figure out how to revert to 1.5.4
Unfortunately I do not know very much about how to do either/what could have gone wrong there

you opt into the beta from steam by right clicking stardew in your library > properties > Betas > and choose monogame64bit
To be honest I tend to be cautious and wait to download the beta personally, but it seems that a fair number of people are using it too. It's up to you whether you want to or not.

Yea idk about that chief. You can prob take the L and just not have it on, or have your friend download npc map locations and disable their UI info suite for npcs. 
SVE shouldn't be added to an existing save unless you plan on dealing with debris, bushes and trees in locations where they shouldn't be, if that's what you mean

Yes, but that's still extra mods to download, then you have to fiddle with said mods to reset things, then remove said mods afterwards again if you have no other use for them ( More unneeded mods makes the game load even slower ) , so it can be done, it's just a pain to deal with, much easier to simply put SVE in with a new save, nothing that would need to be fixed

Ok so if all-if not most- of your mods are Content patcher compatible, you can right click them. It shhould show a few new options now that you have winrar installed
you could just double click the .rar, drag the folder that's in there to your Mods folder and delete the .rar of it
You can also just bulk select and "Extract here"

I am having the same issue described here: https://forums.stardewvalley.net/threads/invisible-banana-and-mango-trees.3917/ - my mango and banana trees are invisible, and it's most likely because I'm using an old tree replacement mod that doesn't have sprites for those. If I just grab the .xnb files of the banana and mango trees from the game files and put them into my Content Patcher folder from my tree mod, that should make them work in my game, right? Or is there more to it?
Anytime I plant a banana or mango tree they are invisible except for the actual fruit it self. I'm sure this is probably from one of the mods I'm using, but I was wondering if anyone else had had this issue? I've looked through my smapi and nothing obvious has come up from it.

There's more to it than that. For one, all the fruit trees are included in one game file, so you'd have to use an art program to manually edit the image(s) being used for the replacement mod. And then you'd have to fix up some stuff in the content file of the CP mod to make it actually still work.

Ah, mobile modding is a lot more difficult because mobile doesn't have 1.5 yet, so you need to go hunting for older versions of mods. I think you'll find PC modding to be much easier!

I am currently stumped as to why this mod isn't working, but one suggestion I have: test in a new save. You have 38729754987 mods loaded, and in theory one of them could be interfering. Even if none of them are interfering, it could be easier to isolate issues with fewer mods.
You can use CJB Cheats to make sure you can talk to Krobus

uh just dont load already saved games with the mod in your mod folder

I'm honestly not sure what mods are or aren't compatible with SVE. Like I said, I don't use it. But the link I put shows which mods the author of SVE recognises as incompatible. Namely, a list of maps that SVE edits.

To extract them them all in my mod folder then delete
uh a couple might have things that need to be pulled out of the folder like a aquarium mod i have you extract then click into the folder you got then pull the folders in there out
Extract them all into your mod folder and then delete the zipped files. Do not delete the extracted mods from your mods folder.

I'd recommend finding all the mods that have a duplicate, deleting both, and redownloading the mod entirely.

How exactly have you been extracting them?
pressed on the zipped files and then pressed extract here like i was told to

since those seem to be the ones to have multiple files
idk ur process but when i download mods off nexus they open up in winrar and from there i extract them into the mods folder
and they dont have funky names or multiple files or anything
I use 7Zip, extract them into my downloads folder, and then move the extracted folder to the mods folder. I also don't get funky names or multiple files.
