For some reason everytime i try to upload this mod (even if i click on the most recent version) it uploads the older version and won’t change how my house looks. What do you mean by CP version? I only see one file upload option…I unzipped the file as well, chose the desaturated version and added it to The Buildings folder and then tried The Mods folder but i feel like since the content is still in a folder it’s not working properly in game? maybe i’m crazy 😅

thats weird :( can you create a new save, cheat in some money using cjb cheats , build a silo and see if it occurs? if it does, its an sve issue. if it doesnt, something's wrong with your current save file

hey guys I have a question that might seem nooby but if I downloaded the sdv extended mod will it overwrite my original game?? as in, can I still play the regular game once I get the mod or gone forever?
The only mods that overwrite game files, are XNB mods which are highly discouraged to begin with. You can easily disable or remove a mod once it's been installed, whether by putting a . in front of the name of the folder ( Windows ) or just by moving the mod's folder to your desktop / other random folder

It's better to have a new save for it, as adding it to an existing save can cause issues with it, mostly with trees and bushes in unreachable spots, which can be fixed but honestly I'd just go with new save

So in this case, the vanilla jack-o-lantern can be any of the styles when you place it. 🙂

Hello farmers, I apologize if this has been answered before. 
I tried using the search function but still could not find what I am looking for.
My child just turned into a toddler (yay!) and I wanted to look for a mod to turn it into an NPC. The ones I found seemed to be outdated and not working(?). I was able to find the unofficial ChildToNPC file but I dont think it did anything since the toddler remained in the home and didn't wander with Vincent/Jas. I also found a mod to make the toddler look like Harvey, but fear that maybe that's why my child is wandering around? Any help or advice is appreciated, thank you!
I have ChildToNPC unofficial update and it has its bugs but for the most part it works

So i restarted my game and he’s been fine since except he does get a doppelgänger ever time i start my game for the 1st time but it usually go away after i leave the house for a bit Ann come back and it usually don’t appear until i quit and restart

I use it with child NPC for SVE but since you don’t have SVE installed I’m not entirely sure lol
@leaden flame you need child to npc AND a content pack. Child to npc just does the code stuff, the other stuff needs another mod.

Basically child to npc does the code required to turn the children into NPCs. But for dialogue and schedules etc you need a content pack that adds, well, content. Theres a sample on the child to npc nexus page that you can use of you wanted to make one yourself.

You dont need c# but you would need to use some pretty strong editing

That error has already been reported to Ento, you can safely ignore them as they wont be affecting your gameplay or mods and you can also ignore the warning about the serializer

they will, it's just that existing objects can get weird. anything that is spawned after installing the new mods should work as intended

If it's just changing the texture, it's fine on multiplayer. Anything that changes dialogue, adds items, NPCs, actual map changes, etc, needs all players to have

has anyone noticed random npcs getting stuck in Custom_LunnaWestForest map? it's where her house is and i just noticed there is shane, jas, and some other npc stacked on top of each other. they don't have it on their schedule
the warps from forest seems to be patched normally to the edge of the screen too, so they shouldn't accidentally hit them

are you on multiplayer? i've heard json assets has had some problems on it. otherwise it could be that the seeds were messed up (not sure how the id shuffle works for them). updating json assets mods can also shuffle the ids, if the mods remove or add crops, or edit the mod folder structure

I just enabled the 64bit beta, and I downloaded the stardew valley expanded mod for the beta, but I'm getting an error of " - Stardew Valley Expanded 1.13.11 because it's no longer compatible. Please check for a newer version" has anyone else gotten this error or knows how to remedy it? Thanks in advance!

The author didn't update the version, so SMAPI thinks it's still the old broken version. Try manually editing smapi-internal/config.jsonmetadata.json, and removing these lines:

basically the same way as you install them in the first place, by putting the new versions into the Mods folder and making sure that the old version (or parts of it) isn't there anymore

It worked! Thanks for the help. Sorry if I'm abusing your good will, but I had 2 more errors in my log, one is actually not an error, it's a yellow warning related to Pytk, and the other a red error related to spriding an item in the Baker's Life mod. I have no idea why these errors happened.
The SpaceCore/PyTK warning is an issue with the PyTK mod, which will probably need an update for Stardew Valley 1.5.5. If none of the mods are using PyTK's serialization API, that won't cause any issues though.
The other error seems to be an issue with Baker's Cookies, looks like it has an image which can't be loaded in the new frameworks used by the game. The author would probably just need to resave the image file.

Yep, the unofficial 64-bit version is deprecated now. You can use the official 64-bit beta instead: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Migrate_to_64-bit_on_Windows#Enable_64-bit_mode.
Will pytk now work with it?
PyTK works in the beta so far as I know (possibly except for its serialization API).

SMAPI 3.12.6 is for the normal Stardew Valley 1.5.4 (not beta or unofficial 64-bit).
(If you have Stardew Valley 1.5.5-beta, you'd need SMAPI 3.13.0-beta instead.)

The out-of-memory errors happen because the game is 32-bit, so SMAPI 3.12.6 won't change that. If you get those, you'll either need SMAPI 3.12.5 + unofficial 64-bit or SMAPI 3.13-beta with Stardew Valley 1.5.5-beta.
Essentially there are two parallel versions:
- Stardew Valley 1.5.4 (32-bit, use SMAPI 3.12.6)
- Stardew Valley 1.5.5-beta (64-bit, use SMAPI 3.13-beta)
Unofficial 64-bit isn't supported anymore, since there's an official 64-bit and mod compatibility is better than the unofficial 64-bit at this point.
I'll keep that in mind.
Hello all, so I found a baby recolor mod for certain characters but for some reason me smapi keeps saying its not compatible (im using android, and the mod is cp compatible) and i already contacted the creator but they said to ask here in discord so- HELP
So when the game updates do I have to update every single mod I have as well
Also side note, I was using multiple spouses but even after I removed the multiple spouse mod it still wouldnt work

That's not an issue with compatibility, it's a conflict between multiple mods replacing the same file. Based on the names, I assume you're meant to only install the one for the spouse you want.

Looks like you have Hudson Valley 1.1.0, but the latest version on Nexus is 2.0.1 (and I think it should be Android-compatible).
With 1.5.5? Must be new smapi update making them work then.
87.5% of SMAPI mods are compatible with the latest beta versions, compared to 88% with non-beta. So at this point compatibility is almost on par.

vibrant pastoral recolor is editing maps/spring_town, i can't see other mods doing anything with it. not sure how that kind of mistake would happen though, so i don't know. only SVE seems to be editing the town map

Hi folks. I have a mod installed, which adds the NPC Zoro to my game. Whenever I go to open it, I get an alert with the following message:

stardew valley 1.5.4 is 32-bit so it can only use up to 4 gigabytes of memory and It Has To Share with anything else that's 32-bit (like, eg, discord)

iirc pytk has some features platotk doesnt, and platotk has a few features pytk doesnt plus also it's newer so it has fewer crazy workarounds for problems that no longer exist

duck, that just means that pytk touches the save function somehow
(pytk in particular is safe to uninstall, but smapi puts that warning there because it can't tell what changes the mod makes to the save function)
Plato originally made PlatoTK in tandem with the development of Sundrop City @naive drum @final patrol
The goal of that project was to have basically 0 dependencies however it was inevitable. I’m pretty sure PlatoTK was made to be one of if not the only dependancy (aside from CP) for sundrops scripts
also, you put smapi in select mode; you'll need to press esc or enter to get it out of select mode for your game to finish loading
unfortunately removing AspensRoom.tmx (there isn't a spouse room folder) just makes the whole game fail to load bc tmxloader can't find the file

I updated my game to 1.5.5 and Smapi 3.13.0 today and had no issues, and I’m running 205 mods @frigid quiver so you should be ok to go ahead and move to beta
I was terrified to do it but it was a lot less scary than I thought

i scrolled to the bottom of the errorspam and there was some ridgeside files failing to load as well - updating your mods might fix it

Yeah, looks like content patcher had an update yesterday too, so I'll go ahead and grab that. I'm actually just going to go down my install backlog and make sure everything is updated to the version that I can update it to in the case other changes have been made.
Generic mod config, json assets and spacecore will still say update needed just a heads up
@naive drum was saying earlier that pathoschild has archived the latest update they released around the 19/9 so you cant actually 'update' them
nah theyre updateable, peachy has the non-beta versions and those particular mods still have their betas up
archiving mod versions hides them from smapi's update checks!

@naive drum a few of pathoschild mods do have the beta updates up, but theyre under old files. Theyre still more recent than the latest 1.5.4 updates for those mods, should i still download them?

I've got no red errors before the game is launched, so that's a good sign, however my 'update' list got a bit longer so I guess people are updating their mods lol, I'll get those dealt with after I see if I can load into the game

i also made a compatibilty patch thing that patches artisan valley to use the same modified quality system
occasionally i see someone who is definitely using that and thinks that one of hte changes is the default artisan valley behaviour despite the mod's description

well the bad news is: if it works on the new save, that means something went wrong on your main save
and i dont really know a way to fix it, so if you're able to, its best to start a new save!

Just to let you guys know, I'm no longer crashing on saving which was where my memory was running out before, and things seeeeem to be running smoothly for now.
Well, mod wise at least. BUT... my game is def stuttering a bit, I'm not sure if that's just my PC not being able to handle the 64 bit version well though, since Iack a graphics card right now (I have an onboard one but it's ancient)
zooming in helped the stuttering thing, I think I was just way too zoomed out to please the game lol
haha yeah with an ancient onboard graphics card that's struggling with modded stardew, being very zoomed out might put just enough strain on it to cause Problems
oh that reminds me of the time i was trying to get a really old game to work on a virtual machine
my attempts escalated to the point where i'd contacted the fandom archivist and gotten a rip of one of the original discs, since the copy i'd purchased hadn't been working
and that didn't work even with unofficial patches
and then i gave up and tried a few other games and none of those worked either
it turned out that the actual problem was that the virtual machine i'd set up had no graphics card and could barely handle the desktop.
it definitely couldnt handle video games. i dont think it even handled solitaire.
it turned out that i didn't need to do any of the version/patch shenanigans i'd been trying, it just didn't work if the computer had no graphics card at all

Hi folks. I've updated to the official 1.5.5 beta, and have most things up and working. However, UI Info Suite is giving me an error I don't understand. It's listed as compatible with Smapi, so I'm sure it's some kind of error on my part. Anyone have a clue what's the haps?
When it's listed as compatible that just means it loads, not that it's bug free or glitch free.
UI Info Suite 2.0 is only available on Github right? You can check to see if anyone else has reported the issue, and if not, you can make an issue on Github and include your log

Ah, the Smapi compat listed the original as opposed to 2.0, I'll hunt a bit.
So I'm currently updating the mods I downloaded, and it says that there's a new version of the 'Jungle Temple and Bus stop' one. Though when I go on Nexus, it's the TMX Toolkit file that is updated.
If I DL the toolkit one, will it update the Jungle one, considering that they are presented as separated files?
The jungle temple and bus stop is a pack for TMXL. Are you using it?

You could manually update the version number if you want, so it stops saying there's an update
You'd open the Jungle Temple and Bus Stop manifest.json with any text editor (Notepad, Notepad++, or TextEditor on Mac) and change the version number to match
Yeah, that's an option. It's secondary tbh, I'm more concerned about updating the SMAPI version or not.

On a computer, my game is updated to the latest one
I don't think I'm on the beta one, Steam doesn't have a display to show the exact version, but it doesn't say it needs to be updated so I think it's all good

Regardless, I'd confirm the SMAPI update isn't for the beta. If it is, stay on the version you're on

So I uninstalled UI Info Suite and installed 2.0 from github, and the same thing happened. The mod won't load, claiming there's a file it can't find. Could someone with a clue take a look at the log? I already did a file verify on Steam, and nothing was missing. I don't think it's an error with the mod itself, I think I must have done something wrong somewhere down the line.
You had the 2.0 version in your log from earlier 
I think the mod probably needs an update to work with 1.5.5, which is why I mentioned checking to see if anyone else has reported the issue and if not, to report it with your log
When it comes to code mods (which UI Info Suite is), if reinstalling / updating didn't help, chances are the mod author needs to get involved

Ok cool you're on version 1.5.4. If the SMAPI update is for beta only, I'd stay at the version you're at now
I have added a pull request to fix that particular issue with ui info suite, but seems Annosz has not made a new release yet with the fix included
