it will look standard at first but the config file allows an insane amount. basically w/e number you want. With that said, if you are also using Automate mod then you might need a 2nd chest connected to the machine to push product into if you have more product in one chest than the standard number of slots. Other than that, it works fine. I use it myself.

you also have an issue with two mods not being compatible with specifically Gunther
Diverse Stardew Valley with Seasonal Villager Outfits (DSVO) and Stardew Valley Expanded are both trying to access Gunther asset so content patcher blocked both out of confusion
easy fix though, go to dsvo config and disable gunther
Howdy again! Im sorry, i just have a quick question for the More Crops Regrow mod, https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4685 , i dont know how or if you can change the number of days it takes to regrow stuff?

you should be able to do it by modifying the json files of the mod where the regrowth periods are set. they seem to be set individually for each crop and the regrowth time is the last number in entries like these 4: "6", (the 4 refers to a field in the crop entry which contains how many days it takes for the crop to regrow)
Thats the thing, i know the 4 is regrowth, but theres only 1 and its under the sweet gem berry, can i add it to the others and it will work??
the others are in the json file that's in the assets folder probably

Also, you need https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5245?tab=description Khadija's Recipe Shop which Artisanal soda makers needs as a requirement. On top of that, you also need Shop Tyle Framework https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5005 and Expanded Preconditions Utility mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6529 all as requirements ><
As for Gunther thing, it did specify disable so Im not sure if just setting to vanilla is good enough. Still looking into it.

for balanced crafting go to stardew valley expanded, then CP Stardew valley expanded and the config file has a few options you can set to true. balance crafting being one of them

that whole ppja thing is kinda vague on what is really needed and what is only needed for certain features

I use Wren's expanded Greenhouse https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5431 but there are plenty of greenhouse mods out there

@dire fractal that just means you have a random assets folder that is empty and probably not doing anything. then again i have the same thing with a pre-smapi folder that the one time I tried deleting kept the game from loading so who knows. you might be stuck like me and leaving it in there. I would copy that folder out (not delete, just move it out of the folder) and try the game. if it wont load ino your saved folder then put it back

i do know i used to have tone downed stardew valley but I also remember removing it too
I think I have 1 flower mod that adds like 200 or so new growable flowers

hey all, im trying to open a .jar file on my mac to run a mod, my mac gives an error message when i double click it so i tried running it in terminal still nothing

You could add custom NPCs like Ghostimer mentioned.
There's a couple quest / festival mods out there as well insert shameless plug for Townies Need Food huehuehue but also Theft of the Winter Star, Festival of the Mundane, Spirit's Eve Hunt, and Surfing Festival, to name a few.
New areas to explore like Mermaid Island, Deep Woods, Boarding House, etc.
You could also have new crops maybe? The PPJA team (Project Populate Json Assets) offers lots of mods. New animals? There's several out there that use Better Farm Animal Variety (BFAV).
If you like mining, Mineral Mage adds a lot of fun stuff you can create
Edit: if you like fishing, Stardew Aquarium offers a lot to do
More NPC's or areas might be the best bet. I look into a few of those - thanks ❤️
Oh also, how could I forget, Stardew Aquarium! If you like fishing, that offers some good stuff too.

Although you could also report it to the mod page on nexus, and include what month/day you selected as your birthday, in case it helps the mod author

You mean you're getting warnings? Let's see 
yeah warnings but not errors. just "this doesnt exist so its being ignored" kinda thing
those are harmless, and are almost unavoidable unless you follow the chain of downloading every connected PFM mod in existence (and somehow avoid duplicate items)
The Shaved Ice mod lists a bunch of optional mods within the description, so if you want to use those, you'd need to download them
Like Jonqora said, it's harmless to ignore, as long as you're not wanting that content lol
It's just a quirk of the messages PFM chooses to print for unapplied rules from optional packs

The real problem is the whole SDVE--- (what plays well)
i went with a less popular stone buildings mod with a choice of a colored roof that I really think looks best with vanilla stardew
I am trying to 'evoke' the Quaint' feel like some people have some cool stoves I've seen in the house

the recipe in artisan valley is set to null instead of being an actual recipe

the producer rules was trying to look for a lemon fruit sorbet but the actual object was called pineapple fruit sorbet
so im guessing they originally called it lemon but changed it to pineapple sometime later but missed that one line

@fast river Bizarre bug report for Tool Geodes, possibly a mod conflict: on summer 2 if tool geodes is installed and loaded then if you put anything into the shipping bin at all that day, even if you take it out, the game softlocks on the day end screen because the OK button doesn't work.

it only occurs on summer 2 year 1 as far as i could tell, it never gets to the earthquake because then and only then none of the buttons on the shipping summary screen work

one thing you can do is go to a mod like jsonassets or tmxl or whatever and look in its requirements tab for things that require that mod
(there's a "things this mod requires" section in the requirements tab, but also a "things that require this mod" section)

all in summer which is 5 days away in my game
I didn’t expect this to happen... but I was busy changing my cafe shed to the furniture from that Cozy Cafe mod. Right after that, I went out of the shed to go save the game, and the game froze on the farm. I checked the trace log and the console, but I still can’t figure out why it just froze like that. It won’t let me close the game out either.

@twin pasture for mysterious farm cave errors, check that an NPC mod isn't trying to load a farm cave, as a couple do. I know Jasper does for example (and you can disable in its config)

yeah going through my own log I dont see any errors like that and checking the folders all those files are .tbin so no idea why its doing that. Make sure you fully uninstall sve before reinstalling it

@cursive flame you could try Where’s My Items, although idk how compatible it is with Android. You type in a search, and it'll show a visual indicator of which chest the item is in, assuming you have it in a chest visible on the map. That is, if you're in the farmhouse, it looks at chests in the farmhouse.
I use that and Community Bundle Item Tooltip
Tani, I also recommend checking the SVE mod page to see if people reported a similar problem already, and if not, you could provide your log and describe the issue in a bug report
There is another mod that is similar to community bundle tooltip if that doesn't work but I have forgotten what it is called!!!!

I think the error with the mines is caused by the problem that there is a tbin file and a tilesheet with the same name. The program is trying to use the tbin as the tilesheet but the tilesheet itself is in a subfolder (Maps/Mines/mine - you'll need to double check case).

i forgot i had a hair mod so i removed that to test out this mod. so far it seems like it causes taller hair to stick up through the hats which looks kinda weird

That mod only affects some hairstyles
In vanilla, certain hairstyles are changed to a different style when you wear a hat. That mod prevents the hairstyle from changing (hence the tall hair poking out)
yeah, I just went ahead and removed it since the only hairstyles I tend to use are either tall enough to look weird or simple enough it wasn't an issue to begin with.

I'm doing a modded multiplayer run with a friend, where they want to have a certain aesthetic for our farm buildings. Since they're hosting the farm, are they the only person that needs the aesthetic mod downloaded, and if so will it conflict with my own building mods (where I'd need to disable them before joining the game with them)?
If they are only aesthetic then you can have different ones and there should be no problems

I didn’t expect this to happen... but I was busy changing my cafe shed to the furniture from that Cozy Cafe mod. Right after that, I went out of the shed to go save the game, and the game froze on the farm. I checked the trace log and the console, but I still can’t figure out why it just froze like that. It won’t let me close the game out either.

this is probably a dumb question but when loading SV with a mod for the first time, will Smapi need to be in online mode for the mod to create it's config.json file
In other words does the config file get all it's data from the content.json file, or is it taken from an online resource when created for the first time
I've noticed some numerous errors in the translation for Belos (parsing errors, grammatical errors, untranslated text, etc.). Should I mention all of them to the translator even though she's going to work on translating another custom NPC? I don't want her to make the mistake twice...

Hope that the non-SVE version of Lucas gets translated (otherwise I would have to do it myself through MTL. Sometimes when I unpack a .XNB file to translate some event dialogue and then pack it again, the game loops when I pick a choice from the event). Don't wanna use SVE due to mod incompatibilities and its updates sometimes breaking the compatibility with other mods.

The farm house kept converting back to vanilla no matter what mod I use to change it.
You can do this as well to make sure your vanilla game files aren't messed up

I wonder if it's because you have SVE installed and it's not liking it. SVE as you probably know, is not compatible with a fair amount of stuff, and as it updates, some previously compatible stuff is no longer compatible. The Boarding House mod author doesn't specify if that optional file for NPC Map Locations is compatible with the SVE version of NPC Map Locations, so that may be a factor

Stardew Valley Expanded because you have multiple copies of this mod installed. To fix this, delete these folders and reinstall the mod: Mods\(Stardew Valley Expanded), Mods\Stardew Valley Expanded\[CP] Stardew Valley Expanded. this suggests you didn't remove the old version of SVE before installing the new one. it would be best to remove everything SVE related from the Mods folder and reinstall it
I just yeeted every mod from existance.
Multiple mods want to provide the 'Maps\KidsTreeHouse' asset (PyTK, PyTK), but an asset can't be loaded multiple times. i suspect this also suggests that there are some leftovers from an older version of NPC child for SVE mod

yeah when it comes to mods I find the best solution is to always fully delete a mod then drop a new updated version into the mod folder. Sucks that you have to re-config stuff you had before but thats better than risking all of the above

if you are using SVE's IF2R map I believe that map doesn't play nice with any cutsom greenhouse mod
i could be wrong on that since i dont use if2r myself but I do think ive heard of issues with that map and greenhouse mods

Doggo, you'd need to choose SVE or that greenhouse mod. See Incompatible Mods section of the SVE install github here https://github.com/FlashShifter/StardewValleyExpanded/wiki/Troubleshooting#incompatible-mods
Or rather, Immersive Farm 2 Remastered (IFR2) or that greenhouse mod

@stuck vortex did you edit the config.json of ChildToNPC? you can remove the file to let the mod generate a new one. or post it here and we can take a look at it smapi.io/json

ender are you trying to load up a save game that had mods that are no longer there? that might be why its crashing

Well, it froze on the same day of me building it, but restarting made the day finally continue as it should, so idk what did it, as there was nothing useful in the log.

@shy orbit But to be able to use the 'NPC child for SVE' mod it is necessary to have the 'Child to NPC' mod, so they should work together, right?

Are you using steam?
If so, you need to set the steam launch options to run smapi

@wet thunder well i got rid of one mod which was happy birthday mod. But when loading the title screen it crashes
I'm new to asking for help with this kind of stuff. I put SMPAI log into a Pastebin file so it could be looked over. My game crashes whenever I start it up. It only worked once with mods but then it stopped working.
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.

It got farther but it crashed again. And it still shows up normal
Reinstall Content Patcher, reinstall Automate, reinstall NoFenceDecay, reinstall Motorcycles, and delete the empty folders there right now. @potent field

You might have to go to the extreme and go classic skyrim fix. Remove all mods, test the base game and make sure it works. Then add mods one at a time, testing each one.

I'm getting stuck on a loading screen when I enter the farm cave
I don't know how to read smapi logs super well, but it looks like an issue with "Cacti Hurt You" or "Context-Sensitive Gift Cursor" which makes no sense to me, I didn't think either of those did anything to the farm cave??
Hmm, something weird happened when you entered the farm cave that caused an error in cacti hurt you, and probably the same issue caused an error in the other mod

I can release an update for cacti hurt you that'll stop it from erroring, but that won't fix the other mod

The error causing you to get stuck is coming from deep in the game's code when it handles location transitions - but I don't see what's causing it to go wrong 🤔

I'd suggest removing mods one by one to see if that fixes it. Starting with farm-cave related ones, so maybe Which Farm Cave Redux, Demetrius Visits Cave

I'm still in my "setting up the modpack" phase, so I'll download about a dozen mods, boot it up to see if they all work, start a new save and test a few things, rinse and repeat
Part of my "starting a new save" process was giving myself some money.
Yanking out those two cave mods did fix the farm cave, so now I'm going to add all four mods back in not give myself any money.
Perhaps having Demetrius visiting so early was what was causing the issue 😅

The concept of this mod is awesome.
I installed it, as well as the automate patch, and my kegs and jars went nutso!
The quality factors all seem fully...
It doesn't harvest truffles

The default is workbenches only, unless you downloaded the optional file, which I think adds wood path and crystal paths.
@past latch you can use a mod like Debug Mode to check coordinates on a map. And yeah you would change map to Farm

@past latch To set a new global location easily, stand in the spot you want it and type setforagerlocation in the smapi console to set the new location to the tile you are standing on

Just know that it will grab EVERYTHING in the game, even from maps like the desert. It's a bit cheaty in that way, but you can also just trash that stuff if you don't want it.

setting the global forage location worked! I didn't realize there was that much forage though lol. It doesn't pick up custom items from BFAV animals, but I guess they don't count as forage

i need the .dll file smapi says but all the mods i download only have microsoft versions of that file, even though they say they are mac compatible
pretty much all mods have only 1 dll and SMAPI handles the minor changes needed to make them compatible on your OS
this goes for every OS
