There is two files for fresh meat, one where you don't need bug net and another where you do. Look in the files at the mod page for fresh meat ^^

Does anyone know how the Automation mod pulls stuff from chests? For example, I have this set up [See image] yet the fruit that each keg will grab seems to be random at times, while at other times it grabs the left most item in the chest and works its way to the right.
actually, i have to know what item requires champagne.

it's a never enbding rabbit hole that makes me want to abuse the item spawner
there's a process it goes through, hopefully Paradigm is about to explain it, if not, I can go see if it's in the mod description or the github readme p:
Starbrew Valley stuff: Atomic Cocktail, Harlem Mugger Cocktail, and Poinsettia Cocktail all need Champagne but they're only enabled if you have Champagne Wishes installed. Sadly PFM doesn't have a way to EnableWithMod for specific entries so it'll throw some yellow errors but be fine. I just don't want to make 10 different packs for everything.
Champagne & Champagne Vinegar are also a products of Champagne Grape

Yep, under Requirements "Soft dependency to enable the "Kir Royal" recipe- will not cause bugs if not installed, but recipe will not appear"
It's not required but you just won't have that one recipe enabled without Bonster's installed.
I'll need to add the Chests Anywhere mod to my list lol.
Also, Bonster's crops is a cool mod. I don't like the Black Beans though because the ready for harvest sprite blends in with the growing sprite making it difficult to tell which one you have already harvested from and which one you haven't yet.

ah, that reminds me of the Vibrant Coffee Cherries mod, I had that same problem with the base game coffee crop
The only weird thing with all of the crops is being able to make wine out of the cotton ball crop 
I think that's because of the limitations we have for classifications hehe

yea I'm not sure of all the possible classifications, like if maybe Resources is one (a modder yesterday was discussing classifying some crops as Resources because they're components to make paper, in a mod they're creating)

The only one I found on nexus was outdated and I'd imagine a mod like that would conflict with PPJA and the modded crops ๐ค

mainly cause i been working on my basement pub for gremlins-
it uses Producer Framework Mod (PFM), so it's compatible with PPJA stuff

ModDrop is one of the other mod hubs for Stardew Valley (and other games too lol), it's good

the content packs for PFM can do different stuff though. Quality Artisan Products would likely impact PPJA stuff (I actually haven't tested it though, now that I think about it o: )

oki from poking at the mod files for Quality Artisan Products, I believe it should work with PPJA stuff, because of the classification used. Still haven't tested it because I don't really use PPJA stuff anymore outside of Farmer to Florist, but it should work!

Little known detail, Automate mod includes Cask Everywhere abilities. So if you have Automate, you can set up automated casks anywhere you want without needing another mod

okay test over. So yeah casks everywhere can place them down anywhere but I cant put anything into them

I had planned on making hybrid crops for every vanilla & PPJA crop but that would have been a few thousand sprites. If you account for every possible combination because of the greenhouse.

interestingly, 3 other people have reported a similar issue to yours in the last year on the nexus page, although no one else included logs. Would you be opposed to using Automate, which includes this functionality? lol
in the meantime, you could leave a comment on the existing bug report with your log, and even provide the screenshot too (can upload it to imgur or a similar site), which would provide the mod author more info on the issue

Automate is a life changing mod, but the automation only takes effect if you have a chest directly adjacent to machines
i wonder if it's actually gonna take 4 years to complete all the hybrids
I'd rather have stuff auto smelt then have to stand at a furnace all day to cook my iron :p
so if you keep chests at least 1 tile away from your machines, they'll still work vanilla-like, without automation

yea it automatically puts in stuff and removes stuff from the machines, as long as there's a chest with stuff to put in, and enough space to store the output
If I didn't have Automate I'd have to manually put stuff in 50 kegs, casks, perserves jar, looms, drying racks, furnaces, etc. It'd be overwhelming 
sweet man tht would have been helpful in my last couple of games with two large sheds one for preserves and 1 for kegs

Well, theres the deluxe auto grab that grabs crops including trees too if you config it

You could open up the log file, copy from the very top of the log to the bottom of the first couple of errors, and parse that on log.smapi.io

There's a few other errors that I know how to fix, though, so I wonder if fixing those could catch those issues

It's always "fun" when you get so many errors-
the fun part is when they were repeat things and/or domino scenario, where 1 thing kicked off a bunch of other errors, and if you fix that 1 thing, poof, all errors fixed!

Try updating to 3.0.2. That fixes the conflicts with Hadi & Zosa's meats.

I still have a duplicates problem with Hadi and Zosa, except that's the only Json Assets error left, so either updating Fresh Meat or adding the NPC fix took care of the rest

@pseudo plover The gabillion errors are because of the duplicate items, JA is very sensitive and having those duplicate items throws off the whole symphony. The pertinent errors are:
Duplicate object: Batter just added by [JA] Hadi & Zosa's Custom Meats and Recipes, already added by Fresh Meat!
Duplicate object: Critter Meat just added by [JA] Hadi & Zosa's Custom Meats and Recipes, already added by Fresh Meat!
You could leave a report on the Hadi & Zosa mod as well as the Fresh Meat mod, with the log, so that the mod authors know

can someone explain to me how smapi has found a "spirng_z_extras.png", and i cant?? its literally the reason my extended isnt working anymore

Hello! I have SVE installed and have a save I've been playing. I was unhappy with how the greenhouse looked so I installed a new greenhouse interior, but now the plants I had in the greenhouse are now overlapping with the new interior. Is there a file I could delete to completely reset the interior of the greenhouse?

Hi Cows, in that case, you could move the plants using Crop Transplant Mod and Noclip Mode, if you wanted to keep the plants
Yeah, it looks like I skipped over it while copy + pasting stuff since the other ones have it. Probably won't put an update out for a bit since I'm waiting on translations.
Noclip Mode would help you if some plants were out in the "void" somewhere

I ran some calculations, and that's like 703 hybrids just for the vanilla crops alone.
BabyWitchJordan, there are actually 2 mods plus SMAPI itself that you can update, there are convenient links at the top of the log
And I'm not sure about Mod Updater, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if that fixes that error

So unsurprisingly, my game's a bit laggy with how many mods I have ๐ค I feel like I remember there being a fix around the lag, but it's been a bit since I've played modded and I can't remember what it was or what to search to find that ๐ Like, allocating more RAM somehow? But I don't know where to do that or if I'm mixing up how to handle Minecraft lag-
If you use Seasonal Villager Outfits (SVO), a certain amount of lag will generally happen. If you use Automate, you can change the interval in the config.json file to a larger number
I've not heard of allocating more RAM for SDV though
I'm not more attached to SVO than I am to a smoother game, so that's out then
(The RAM thing must have been for Minecraft, then)
it's not usually very much, but it is a sizeable mod

SDV and Minecraft are the only games I ever play modded, and Minecraft I only ever do a few small mods or pre-built packs, but then SDV-
Taking out the aesthetic mods entirely and the animation mods reduced lag to zero, so now to add back only a part of the aesthetic mods so that I don't have conflicts
so nice to meet a fellow "I-have-a-lot-of-patience-and-will-take-my-time
" type of mod user ๐

i will say the mod making scene is a bit hard to break into bc their are so many great, extensive options already available for so mnay things
like you can't just recolour one thing, you have to recolour the whole set of whatever it is
I mean, you could just do the one thing o: and you might still get requests to make your mod compatible with A B C D E F G H.... etc.
but you don't have to address those if you don't want to! 
Sighs Choosing which sets of aesthetic mods to keep is hard-
I've had people leave some ideas as suggestions on my mods and I'm like "that's a great idea! Out of the scope for my mod, but you could go for it!" and I go the extra mile and link them to documentation ๐

I can't remember, does A Toned Down Stardew Valley also recolor the map?
The specific things they each target and the scope of each mod is different, but like, there is a lot of overlap here
a toned down does inside and outside i believe, flower valley and eemie map do outside, rustic interior will clash with a toned down interior
for the buildings, you could get into Customize Exterior, which lets you use multiple building mods at once and lets you switch them in-game
fish ponds by gwen is amazing and matches everything imo

you should get Customize Exterior from the mod author's personal website though, which is linked on the mod page. They put the latest version on their personal website instead of nexus ๐

So fun problem maybe? If some certain mods are broken (really just outdated) SMAPI isn't able to check for mod updates, but this problem only happens on linux. On windows, I get errors in the log, but am given the links to update. Any idea where I can start figuring out the cause?

Heyo. I recently got a new comp and was trying to reinstall SVE, but for some reason it's not working. I didn't have much trouble last time, so I don't know what's going wrong this time. I followed all the steps, have all the prerequisite mods, everything else is working like it should, but when I start up a new file I end up in the vanilla version of the game. halp

Do you mean like the menu map map? SVE doesn't change that. You need NPC Map Locations (SVE version) to change that map.

(I have a patch summary and then when the game crashed in that log, I started it again and did a patch summary and checked if it still crashed in the same place in case it was a weird one-off situation)

Mmm, custom furniture is known to have some tricky bugs - primarily in multiplayer, but there might be stuff that's unstable in singleplayer also.

guys i have been having stuttering issues since a couple days ago, is there any fix to it
if you have automate you can try setting automation interval to a higher value in automate's config.json

i think the problem is usually PFMAutomate coupled with too many producer framework mod machines
I think having many machines also contribute to the stutter

i don't need a single placed machine for the stuttering to start, just having PFM machine mods installed seems to be enough. but i haven't done any proper tests

the easiest way to test would probably be to remove PFMAutomate first

ok so i tested it without pfmautomate and it seems to still be stuttering a bit in intervals
if the mod adds items they should probably be removed from the save before (PFM content packs itself don't do that i think, but the mods can have other components that do)
personally i set a high automation interval value (equal to one minute irl time) and live with the occasional stutter

i dont know, manually installing mods for stardew is just so easy I dont see the point of using mod drop. I do recommend paying for nexus though. Then again I also mod skyrim and the witcher series so having instant downloads for hundreds and hundreds of mods is convenient

Content Patcher (CP) and Custom Furniture (CF) are framework mods, so there are content pack mods made for them. Mod authors typically include which framework mods (if any) their mods require in the description and install instructions.

Because you don't need to unzip/extract and then copy-paste. You can unzip/extract right into the Mods folder

Got a boatload of red text during Sandy's event where she invites you to her home town
SVE updates pretty frequently, so it's a challenge for other mod authors to keep up compatibility, considering everything SVE changes.
You can leave a comment for the mod author with your log, so they can try to fix it
If you're not sure if another mod is causing the incompatibility though, it would be worth it to temporarily remove all your other mods and leave only what's required for SVE and Looking for Love (LfL). That will help the LfL mod author as well

Like one of the mods that adds a bunch of fish says it doesn't work with SVE but the fish show up in the game!
That's probably due to all the SVE updates ๐ incompatibility is pretty fluid, especially considering again how much SVE changes ๐

There were a few bugs I noticed. Like Mayor Lewis's dialogue bugging out during holidays.
I am having an issue with multiplayer and the Theater. I am hosting for 3 friends. We just opened the movie theater and I was able to go in and see a movie first day. I didn't take a guest, but one of the players also joined me. We both were able to go in and see the movie.
The next day, a different player tried to take a date to the movies. However, he was not allowed to enter even though he had a ticket. I - the host who had already seen a movie - went over and mashed right click on the door, and for whatever reason that let the other player in. But when he tried to buy snacks the menu wouldn't open, when he tried to enter the movie area he couldn't to in (but we got a "This movie will start soon!" Message) and then the date said that they really enjoyed the movie.
Using SVE and the host of mods that make it work. If this is a known issue or anyone has a work around I would love to know!

It looks like it's a domino issue, you're missing the mod More Recipes, which is kicking it off
More mod, but it also says I am missing Machine goods
The unique ID is more food, but it's called More Recipes on nexus
Because you don't have More Recipes, everything else isn't loading

Typically before installing a new greenhouse mod you want to clear out the greenhouse otherwise you'll get issue like the one you're having.
You can fix it yourself with some work with a combination of Crop Transplant Mod and Noclip Mode, both mods available on nexus

@ akari With Tree Transplant Mod, trees have to be the vanilla distance apart. I use a mod that allows me to place the trees closer together, so Crop Transplant Mod works better for me. The config file is great

i stood and clicked with the pot but it's red around it
i got it. now i just can't get the hoed area to go away
so i grabbed plants then tried putting them in a chest so i could clear terrain. didn't work
instead it deleted my plants when i put them in a chest
in those cases when I have to destroy something I didn't want to destroy I use CJB Item Spawner to give myself the item back

Oh, you can't put plants inside a chest. You can put the harvested crop, but not the plant itself

You can try to see if you can move the plant outside, I haven't tested it personally though

This is using a mod to temporarily put an existing plant inside a garden pot, to move it (Crop Transplant Mod)

I personally like Custom Greenhouse, it's simple and close to vanilla
Wren's Expanded Greenhouse is the one im using
it adds an entire section to the right and makes the primary area slightly larger

ah, I see what you mean. I also went through and got rid of mods that were already incorporated into things like CJB Cheats Menu
I could add a few more recipe based ones from the ppj but even then i have most of those already
i did keep my walking speed mod though i cant remember why XD

haha Ive learned my lesson from other games that if you make yoruself to fast you can never go back to vanilla so I keep it set to a 1.5 I think. slightly faster but not too fast. just fast enough that I feel like its okay

We don't recommend using XNB mods because you're directly replacing game files. You can search the top link in the Gourdvernor message to see if someone's converted that mod to Content Patcher (CP), and use that instead

Hi everyone! I joined this server recently and am pretty new to mods. So far they've been a lot of fun
While the next game update could be a ways away, I haven't been able to find much info on how to avoid game breaks once it launches. Is there a guide with key things to know? Would I simply remove mod files before launch?
sraha, you can always make a copy of your entire game folder to continue playing with mods safely on 1.4.5. Otherwise, it's a matter of waiting for mod authors to update their mods--and being reasonable with this! Mod authors are people with lives too 
Even with the last big update (in November 2019), it wasn't like every single mod broke, but there were several that did. In that case, you could remove the mods that did break (SMAPI would tell you, and/or you'd likely notice issues in-game), and play without those, until they're updated (if they do get an update). Otherwise, if you want to be 100% hassle-free, you could remove all your mods and play with no mods. Depending on what you have, removing all your mods may or may not cause quirks with your existing saves.
I personally waited 2 months back after the update dropped in November 2019, and that was enough time for most of the mods I used to get updates, if they needed them. Some mods were never updated (and were broken), so I had to remove those permanently, but that was alright with me. Either I didn't really use that feature, or new mods were later created that served the same purpose

I'm trying to get Seasonal Garden Farmhouse working, this is what I get using V2 and no FHR.
There's a bug / comment where someone had basically this same issue and the mod creator (or some other commenter, I forget) said to install the rustic country wallpaper / industrial kitchen mods because they aren't included in SGF v2, but I installed them and it still looks like this.
Any ideas?

We used to have one for discussion (when modding was just one channel originally) but the second one went largely unused after a few days as discussion and troubleshooting went back to the main chat. We're usually pretty good about managing multiple conversations at once here though ๐

because im kinda confused on how to install everything so if anyone has it or has a good tutorial that would be be pretty helpful! 
I found the Adopt n Skin mod description to be helpful for installing mods for it. There's a fair amount of tinkering with folder names and renaming files, so it takes time to set up.

okay so i put the skins in the adoptskin/assets/skins folder right?
also when using elles replacements do i have to choose how many? do i put them all? or how does it work?
i just cant understand like the basic installing of the skins but i think i just have small brain today
The Quick Start steps in the mod description provide an overview, but I also recommend scrolling down to the Skins section. It's a bit out of order that way, but read through those 2 sections, I think that will help

all depends on the mods really
most mods don't add much processing time in a way that would be different between single and multiplayer

the highest-impact ones are usually texture overhauls, especially with seasonal/weather variants
and those are totally client side so they will only impact each person individually according to their computer specs, no worse in multiplayer

I'm not sure. I believe it starts the day when the host is ready and sends the information to the farmhands.

was hoping back and forth between the game and other stuff guess I did it one too many times and the game decided it had had enough
was trying to get an opinion if i should dance with shane or not for this first year dance since I happen to hit 4 hearts with him in time when it crashed ๐ฆ
I think these errors are usually XNA-related with window resizing ๐ค

CA has been informed of the bug and one method of fixing it, so hopefully the fix for that issue will be in 1.5

Got two parts of it to change without animated portraits triggering. Literally just wanted his mask protraits and heartbreak route activated.

I know. 
I had to uninstall CPA and then reinstall to get it to work (according to toshi modcreator CPA needs updated for their animated protraits) so i just worked around it.
