I'm rereading the description for Magica Trees and i've been trying to disable/troubleshoot for the last 2 hours by taking things otu of the content coding, disabling and even rearranging the order that the mods register. On Magica Trees it says this:
This is a conversion of a previously existing mod to work with Content Patcher. I wanted to use these models but no one had converted it to CP yet, so I did it myself.
One caveat is that if you have a town replacer or other map replacer like Stardew Valley Expanded that features static trees, these will not be replaced with magica trees. The only way to do that would be to edit that mod itself, which I have not done myself yet, but if people want it maybe I can figure out a way to upload patched versions. (Big maybe)```
Although Eemie's Map Recolour that I use and Flower Valley come later in the order Alphabetically, the trees from Eemie's is still registering before the Magica Trees do.

I'm not very savvy with mods so I don't know how to add it as a dependency.
So after disabling both Flower Valley and Eemie's Recolor, the mod DOES work.
I'll try seeing the unique id and the manifest to have the dependency on the two, Hopefully it will work

But the only thing about it is, is that some of the 'side trees' that're like on the mountain edges and stuff or behind robin's house that we cant chop down, aren't rendering properly >_>
So now i gotta go back in, reset those two mods and figure out whats what.
BUT, the trees that I can chop down have rendered properly.
Not choppable tree? That's likely part of the map. It requires edit on the map tilesheet itself to make it work.

My mental capacity is very thin due to sleep deprivation. But at least i have the problem singled out.
In case u want to try editing the manifest (dependency). U can replace text in manifest.json in magica mod with this one. I haven't try it tho.

PFM automate allows non-vanilla machines and machine rules added with PFM to work with automate

Right now I'm actually working on a content pack mod that replaces most of the stardew music with peaceful piano music from various members of the community:) its very nice so far, I have pieces from Pally and Augustine Gonzales mainly, and a couple of filler pieces from other artists will come soon

first of all update the Content Patcher
you're still on Content Patcher 1.13.0 and SVE requires newest one
so SVE can't load the custom tilesheet and so TMX freak out cause it doesn't have the tilesheets and the log is flooded with errors

You also have this error Better Crops and Artisan Goods in SVE 1.0.0 because it requires mods which aren't installed (cometkins.BetterArtisanGoods).
That error mentions how to fix it, you need to install Better Artisan Goods by cometkins, which is available on nexus

Ok, from your initial message, it wasn't clear that you didn't have the backups, and I knew what I was mentioning wasn't your initial question, I just wanted to mention it in case you hadn't noticed it 
I'm not sure why it was deleted. If you're sure you didn't do it, the only thing I can think of is maybe the Steam Cloud version was different from the local one on your computer

You do not need all the frameworks, but you do need PyTK and Content Patcher (CP). CP you already have

The message says you're missing the manifest.json. I recommend removing the mod folder you have for PyTK and then reinstalling it

Does anyone have any advice for using the Deluxe Auto Grabber mod? I have the unofficial update and would like to use an auto grabber to harvest from my greenhouse. However, it seems like it has a set width for its range? The config file lets you change the range, but it seems only to change the vertical range, not the horizontal range.

@fleet marsh It's true for the mod called "Custom Furniture" and for all mods that are content packs created to be used with that mod.
There aren't currently any options for custom (i.e. completely new) furniture without it, though. You can use Content Patcher furniture mods just fine, because those ones work just by reskinning existing furniture items.
Also Murr, to clarify, did you try tweaking both the X and Y config settings, but only the vertical range was different?
I'm not sure how to tweaking the x and y config. I only changed the Range that's listed at the top
OH gotcha, I thought you were tweaking the forage settings near the bottom
do you think that would help me with harvesting from a greenhouse? Do fruit trees count as forage in this case?
It's worth a try, I suppose. I'm not sure though, because the mod description is sparse in details on the config, and I'm not versed in code to go poking in the mod source code 😅

Is your autograbber filling up perhaps? It picks up in columns (top down) going left to right until the chest is full

Is there a working mod that allows you to change your appearance? Get Dressed doesn’t work anymore, so I’m just wondering.
Hey so some months ago I had an older version of stardew valley expanded working on my computer, except that it often crashed. So I decided to try deleting and reinstalling the newer version, that didn't work so I deleted all my mods from the mod folder, installed ModDrop and installed through there, and now the game won't start at all. I already tried restarting my computer, and unistalling/reinstalling the game on steam. It may also be worth noting that it will start if I go to my steam-steamapps-common-stardew valley folder and click the application there. Though then it launches without any mods.

Rest of folders written in red are meant to replace .xnb files of the game itself -> not recommended. Try finding Content Patcher conversions.

So I've have Coi's & Missys Clothing Pack but somehow the ones of Coi doesn't show up ingame (both are JA Files)

you mean Content\Characters\Farmer and so you replaced original game files.
Yeah, nvm though i didn't replace anything I'll try find mods which are more suitable
sure. Just make sure you get mods that were updated at least once after SV version 1.4 came out ( November 2019 ) so that they are compatible with current game.

Log seems fine. SMAPI loaded both the packs without errors. I don't remember if JA clothing shows at character creation p: I think you may need https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/93 to spawn the new pieces 
If I create a new char it shows me up to 112 Shirts and some of them are from missy's JA mod, so im pretty confused why they don't show up before

@mighty bane you could have your sister uninstall and reinstall PyTK, although I'm not sure why PyTK is throwing that error, so I'm not sure if uninstalling and reinstalling will fix it. For the errors listed under Skipped mods, your sister is missing Artisan Valley, Multi Yield Crops, and Expanded Preconditions Utility. Those mods are available on nexus, she can download and install those.

Instead, an easy way - just rename your Mods folder to something else when you want to play co-op without mods. Like Mods-inactive (anything will work though). Then launch normally through Steam. Rename it to say Mods again when you want to play with mods.

Start by solving all the 'Skipped mods' errors at the start of the log. You have multiple copies of few mods and it's a mess

So I decided to try deleting and reinstalling the newer version, that didn't work so I deleted all my mods from the mod folder, installed ModDrop and installed through there, and now the game won't start at all. I already tried restarting my computer, and unistalling/reinstalling the game on steam. It may also be worth noting that it will start if I go to my steam-steamapps-common-stardew valley folder and click the application there. Though then it launches without any mods.

Hi, I've been playing modded using Vortex to load all my mods. Today I updated immersive farm 2 and I can no longer load the game. Obviously I screwed something up cause I saw that the play button on vortex leads to ...\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\StardewModdingAPI.exe and that file doesn't exist.
What do? Pls help.
If that file doesn't exist, something might be wrong with smapi? Try reinstalling smapi

It's supposed to be vortex compatible but if you're having trouble, try installing it yourself from outside.

Make sure you download and extract the smapi folder to somewhere not in game folder (common mistake) - another place like Desktop or Downloads is fine. Then run the windows installer inside it

It seems something is changing the executable file while it's running? Not sure what would do that though; might be worth running a full virus scan, or temporarily disabling the antivirus if the scan comes back negative in case the antivirus itself is interfering with the file.

Okay found something, when I try to open in Moddrop client, clicking the green button that says Play Stardew Valley (via SMAPI) I don't get the popup, instead my curser gives the loading icon for a second and then nothing happens. I don't know if that's any help.

like my last game i was being super lazy with it spawning in sprinklers for the whole farm, grabbing any machine I needed and on 3 separate occasions I grabbed a chest cause I was too lazy to run across my farm just to grab the materials for it.

SMAPI is needed for most mods on any platform.
@obtuse mica smapi is the stardew valley api and it's what runs the mods. Its needed for most and or all mods. Its on nexus which is the unofficial official stardew moddong website. Smapi.io is the official page for smapi, and if you look at the requirements for like 98% of mods, it says that smapi is required

If you ran the smapi installer app, it will create a Mods folder in your SDV game folder on your phone. Unzip the CJB Cheats folder into there and launch the game using the new smapi app

CJB download is in the Files section of the CJB Cheats page on nexus; you'll need a nexusmods account to download it.
I don't know what do do about the smapi app not installing, though. I haven't seen that before.

Hey guys, I hope this is the right channel for this. My friends and I have been running Stardew Valley Expanded (with all it's required mods) and a handful of other compatible mods without issue until the latest update for SVE. A major issue we've been encountering is every fishing spot besides the ocean throwing up trash; is this an issue anyone else has encountered? I've saved the backups as well as the previous versions in case the fix is not quick and we need to move back.

I'm a little suspicious about the Fresh Meat update. It seems like it uses regrowable crops? Does regrowable crops affect every crop, or is it only the meat ones?

I've followed the instructions on Flashshifter's github page. I've renamed, moved, deleted files and nothing is helping. I still have the vanilla greenhouse. I'm at a loss. I have. Multiple times. I also tried taking the IF2R folders out of the main IF2R folder (like they used to be), and that gave me a bunch of errors.
i took a wee look; i have the wizard's CSP mod, and the TMX for the custom spouse room, but i don't have any duplicates installed as far as i can see?
i also haven't actually married him yet. so even though the mod is there the game knows i'm not married yet so it says not to implement the spouse area?
maybe if i disable the CSP folder until i actually do marry him, do you think that might help..?
the only in-game issue i was actually having that caused me to look into my log was the kitchen and bed tiles were glitched to a repeating pattern of the TV, and i was trying to go thru the list of how to fix it
The Looking for Love mod says it is compatible with SVE.
Stardew Valley Expanded FAQ specifically mentions that the Looking for Love mod does not work with it

i don't have LFL, i have romancable rasmodius tho, and i downloaded a version someone made to be compatible specifically with SVE
i then went into SVE's content file and changed the few options that were hasmod:LFL to hasmod:romras to make sure it all ran smoothly
haven't had any issues yet at all, but i am only at the tail end of fall in year one, and only dating not married yet, so..?
i just have a custom sprite set i made for the wizard that makes him just 🥺
I think LFL does work because SVE last updated their FAQ in March and LFL updated in July.
The sad part is that I had a really nice greenhouse with many full-grown trees. Now, it's vanilla and the crops and trees are all messed up. I don't think there is another greenhouse mod that is quite as nice as Pookachu's

That sounds like a bug.
You probably have a building recolor mod that is drawing a greenhouse to appear in the original location, plus the IF2R that is drawing a greenhouse to appear properly in the new location
It's why IF2R needs special install instructions to be compatible with new greenhouse exteriors or interiors

Yeah, and that's how I was able to get it to work properly, before the update. It was beautiful. I even went to my old backup to see how, exactly, the overrides folder looked and made sure it was all the same.

A lot of mods are built with SVE compatibility in mind, the ones that do should say so and if they don't you can always ask the author.

In this case I looked, and there's a small chance that Multiple Spouses, Swim, or PyTK is somehow responsible for the weird kickflip thing.

if you're the host, yes. if you're the farmhand (joining a friend's game) then no, it won't work

the only 4 im planning on using are bjs time skipper, generic mod config menu, and stack everything

those might all be okay for just the host to have, if farmhand doesn't want them! he would need to have tractor though
actually tractor works if one of the farmhands doesn't have it!
it's a horse subclass, so people without tractor mod in a multiplayer save where the host has it just see a horse with a weird name that's somehow doing farm chores

They are either ok or dead mods that need to be deleted. Some bfav mods are like that now since the unofficial update came out
Smapi compatabilty page has all the mods that do or dont work first of all second is any content packs you may have will need yo be updated from where they came from or through the unofficial update thread on starbound or through stardew forums

@wanton wharf Because someone made a mod to flesh out Harvey but used the general NPCGiftTastes to do it, so now when I try to use giftable artifacts it conflicts for no good reason. I want to figure out what's harvey's specific paramiter and how to alter the mod text because this is stupid error is annoying me.
