my question is about the building theme
from what ive seen we only have 3 options forr that am i right?
0it's just that in one of the previews she has her buildings as red (like barn, coop etc

strangely... my game in multiplayer when using SDVE kills my maps every so often x.x im not sure what mod is causing this. maps are all black tiles except for foliage and i can still move around the tilesheet as normal
no errors are found when i look at smapi

however, it doesn't exist in there

i assume it's the [cp] folder for immersive farm 2, since it has .tbin files in it while none of the other /asset/ folders do

@supple echo The old IF2 had warps to the Secret Woods, and this was back when you had to replace the whole map to do it.

If i uninstall stardew, do i have to go through the whole smapi process? Just the process of moving in and out all my mods again is just... trivial but annoying
confused, why are you uninstalling stardew? You don't want to play anymore?
You do need to reinstall SMAPI to patch the .exe file but you should still have your mods folder regardless.
No i just... im having a bit of a breakdown cause of something small and i need to just try and reset it. I cant fix my issue no matter what and i was just hoping uninstalling it would help.

I'm not 100% sure i understand your issue, but this mod expands the possible zoom level to much more than vanilla allows. People with high-resolutions appreciate using it so that everything is not too tiny to see

i have a bit of an issue... i just updated automate, and paths no longer act properly to connect different things
By default MoreZoom is true (up to 125%), but UnlimitedZoom is false (as far as you want)
@heavy sky did you check to make sure they're still listed as connectors in your config file?

If you used something like vortex, or if you deleted the old folder when updating, you'll have lost your config
i still have it, i usually make a backup of things before i change my mods folder
Okay, unlimited zoom works. its not ideal because i dont think it saves that zoom setting, but its a fix for now.

@slender marsh you know, your point that the mod doesn't save zoom level is a good one. If I were you, I would drop a comment for the mod author, suggesting to add it as a new config setting!
Either a "DefaultZoom" config that accepts an integer, or a "SaveZoomLevel" that gets updated every time the zoom is changed, and read from when the game is first opened.
That would be nice. I might add something, but it seems the author is inactive. It also zooms back out if you head back to title so theres that.

helloo;; not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I use SMAPI and my achievements are registering in-game but not on steam? I looked up a couple guides but they’re mostly for unmodded games and I wasn’t sure if it would be the same

That will fix it, but it will not give you retroactively any of the achievements that you missed while running the game without steam.
If that's a concern for you, you can use this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4974 but it will only work for steam achievements that have an in-game equivalent. Several do not.

You can always earn missing achievements on a different save, too. But if the missed steam-only achievements really bother you, you would have to use something third-party like Steam Achievement Manager to give them to yourself manually.

Yours... I don't know what the issue is. I recognize the CP-A errors (Toshi mod, I think there's a fix for it that Space has yet to release) but I don't recognize the errors that actually happened at the crash

The error message is very vague and no clue which object was "disposed".
Why is it not listing that you even have the CP portion of Toshinori? Usually it lists every aspect.
Like, it says it loaded down in the log, but he's not showing up in the modlist summary.

when i wake up, everything occurs as normal
i can open my inventory no issue
the moment i step into the wizard's tower, it seems like an event is trying to occur
but it immediately ends
after that, trying to open my inventory results in an instant CTD
not sure if it's persistent after leaving the tower, i'll test that
it's possible it could be SVE related
since i recently gave the wizard a ||void shard||
and the implication was that something else would occur in another cutscene soon
void shard as a gift?
there's an event with it, but that starts with you taking it to the Guild
not as a gift

okay, so even with the old version of SVE installed, i'm still getting crashes
so here's my hypothesis
SVE is causing an issue with one of the new mods i have installed
among those are
stacksplitx, personal anvil, khadija's recipe shop
i'll try removing each of these individually to see if i'm right
@heavy sky try rolling back PyTK to 1.19.0 instead of the current version (1.19.5)
i'll try that after i test out if i can isolate the problem from any of these mods
i haven't seen that specific error before, but it's been causing really weird stuff since the update so it could well be your problem
SVE uses pytk too, so that might be why SVE seemed to be causing the error
stacksplitx would also be a likely culprit, personal anvil and KRS not really likely
already tried stacksplit, but no dice on that, still error'ing
i'll try the other 2 just for good measure
because unless an update to one of the other mods i have is helping to cause that (e.g. pytk) then i have no idea
because the only thing i've done aside from install those 3 new ones is update like 20 mods
if it does turn out to be pytk i'd report that to routine--i know gervig reported the other issue it's been causing (random stretches of map turning into voids, random crashes) but we haven't seen specifically inventory related crashes from it yet

I've seen that when stepping into the cindersnap forest with SVE. I assumed it was just taking extra long to load the map, since I see the same sort of pause and abrupt start when loading into the game in the farmhouse

Which XNB files affect the lighting?
Resetting your content files will likely fix it, but will reset all changed files. So make sure you have backups for stuff you don't want to lose

you download the file manually, unzip it then place the folder into the Mods folder in your stardew valley directory

I deleted the zip folder it gave me the option to after I extracted so that's all good I think

if you want to load a default game you need to rename the mods folder something else
so like you can do disabledmods or something and when you want the mods back just name it back to mods
SVE can work on Android but only on some phones. It's a huge mod; not all phones have the necessary processing power.
So on some phones it lags a lot

Also, if you want to remove a mod but still use it for later, you can just remove it from the mods folder right?

or make multiple mods folders and just rename them when you want one active if you have a ton of space on the phone

You need to download 2 more additional files
It says when you download the mod : required files and then it gives you the link to them. You just download them and move them to the mods file

Ok, that' pretty funny. Well, I wanna just get used to installing mods with some lighter stuff like character portrait redesigns and new items. What I really want to see though is mods that basically reshape the game almost entirely. Turning it into a different game basically but with the same mechanics
You basically need a modpack for that
And really, when you play with about 90 mods running things can get pretty different

@dire fractal There isn't a mod out there that completely changes the game into something else. At that point you're better off looking into a completely different game. There's many that have similar general mechanics.

Nothing to that extreme of an overhaul exists and it's unlikely that it ever will. I know somebody is working on a Harvest Moon overhaul but I'm not sure of the scope of that. It won't change SDV into Harvest Moon 100%.

Unlike Minecraft, Stardew Valley isn't the ultimate sandbox game so… there wouldn't be a mod that reshapes the game into another game

The issue is I change up folders for various reasons and Vortex doesn't understand that. So you'll get duplicate items because of that.

hello everyone! i seem to be having an issue in multiplayer where the entire map will sometimes (usually mid day 2) disappear upon loading into an outside area. this does not affect maps inside houses nor the other player in multiplayer.
the tiles are all black but the tilesheet still allows me to move as the tile dictates.
do i have any conflicting mods in this case? i'm using SDE over multiplayer but not sure if one of my mods is causing this.

Just jumping into using mods.... we are running a farm for our highschool esports club and of course need to utilize the multiplayer mod so we can have more than 4 people working... are there any other mods i should consider using? Do i need to know anything about multiplayer and mods in particular? And was curious if there was a mod for a larger farm map that anyone would suggest for the club?

I would recommend Social Tab Patch for Unlimited Players and CabinOwnerDisplayed in particular.

One thing that becomes a hassle in muliplayer games is time flow. In singleplayer, the game pauses in inventory, dialogues, or cutscenes, but this is not true of multiplayer games. Players can often find themselves feeling quite rushed as a result.
yea i noticed a tiny bit of that with 4 people but now that you say that i can see having a lot of people kind of changes things
One solution to this is Multiplayer Time mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2543) but it works best for small groups, not large ones, and I don't know if it would work well alongside Always On Server.
well my guess is that not over 6-8 players would ever be playing at the same time.... but its nice to have lots of people able to jump into the hosted farm

A good alternative might be TimeSpeed mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/169) which only needs to be installed by the host player. You'd need to change the DefaultTickLength and TickLengthsByLocation setting in the config. 7 is default, so it you make them all 14, time will pass twice as slowly.
yea, i think ultimately the time thing wont be much of a problem... mostly interested in multiplayer options and larger map
Multiplayer Time mod works by pausing the game whenever everyone is in an inventory/cutscene at once, so coordinating even 6 people to pause simultaneously is tricky. I love it in my 2-player game tho

Many of the mods I've mentioned only need to be installed by the host to work, but you'll want to check each one carefully. Generally-speaking, most Stardew mods need to be installed by all active players in order to avoid bugs or crashes.

@novel cairn most likely yes. There are some mods for PC that don't work on mobile, but almost every mod that works on mobile would work equally well on PC as-is. Unless the mod specifies mobile-only, or has a separate mobile version.

So I discussed this briefly in #making-mods-general earlier today, but I'm running a multiplayer game w/ my gf that's quite heavily modded, including the PPJA Challenging Community Center Bundles mod, and using UI Info Suite she's unable to see some of the tooltips for the bundles (Show Item Hover Information option). We've tried Community Bundle Item Tooltip instead and using that she's only seeing tooltips for the original set of bundles (ones that are no longer used). Does anyone have any ideas?

In some cases all it might need is changing a Load to an EditImage
Others might require splitting an EditImage into smaller targetted patches, or creating new sprites for missing assets

@coral pike I recently installed Teh's Fishing Overhaul, which is I believe a popular one, but I'm sure there are others. It makes catching a little easier and you'll be able to see % chances of fish in specific areas (when your rod is highlighted in inventory) plus what you have on the line when you hook something

If you're experiencing lag while using Stardew Valley Expanded (SVE), try opening the Farm Type Manager (FTM) config.json with a text editor (Notepad works) and changing MonsterLimitPerLocation to 200 or lower, but not below 50.

Although note for BFAV, the unofficial update is a rewrite, so content packs for BFAV version 2.2.6 don't work with the unofficial update, and vice versa
the newer version is about some 100kb smaller then the old one
The way to tell which version of BFAV the content packs are for are if you had to do any tweaks to any files beyond installing the mods to your Mods folder, that's for the older version of BFAV. Content packs for the unofficial update version of BFAV are installed like any other mod and don't require any tweaks to any files

Does anyone have an idea why industrialization isn't loading the "Prismatic Furnace" I keep getting an error message 
i installed the challenging community center bundles mod, and it undid the other bundle things you unlock when you complete the spring foraging bundle. i switched back and now i dont think i have a way to unlock the other bundle categories

@quartz meadow you should be able to use cjb cheats, or a save editor, there also might be a debug command
Yeah, I'm holding off on that, because I know it currently clashes with BFAV
I am waiting until I get BFAV animals, then I will update farm expansion
i checked cjb cheats and it didnt look like there was anything bundle related

i have the updated version of pytk, but not tmxl,,,
So Prismatic furnace is in that file path, but there is no png
this is why I always hold off for months to update PyTK and TMXL

for NPC Adventures and Quest Framework, the author is on hiatus. pathos is doing minor updates if necessary but i'm not sure if the issues you have are fixable rn

okay I have a question, does anyone know which mod might be causing me being unable to use my hoe or watering can? that is, when I single tap it seems to abort the animation in the middle of it and make me unable to move until I jump with the jump mod. if I charge it the result is the same but with the difference that I see some colored "bubbles" coming out of the tool at each of the charging stages. will send a log in a while but since my loadout is... big... the parsing takes a while

I took a look at your log, nothing is standing out to me, so I recommend temporarily removing mods that alter tools, to see if that helps narrow down what's causing the issue

where do I report game crashes?
Description: couple days ago loaded a new mod, was working fine;
then today I updated PyTK and Map toolkit; and finally updated SMAPI (looks like it's been updated a week ago), and now SV keeps crashing. So far, crashed when changing zones, when opening a chest
any advise?
also, i cant launch the stardew modding API through steam, even if i copy the exact location it's in to the launcher properties

@rotund stump PyTK is likely the reason
i was also having crashing issues and people have reported more then just that with the newest version of PyTK
try downgrading to 1.19.0

@royal arrow you know what, I increasingly just Do Not Care, I turned off all the ones I know change tools and nothing. still there. I'll just cheat water my plants and hoe via bombs for now lol

question, this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4513?tab=files says it requires versions of the mods as JA(you can see what it needs by trying to download the mod), but when you go to those versions of the mods, they all only exist for PPJA, not for JA
is the author just mistaken?
PPJA stuff is for JA. It stands for Project Populate JsonAssets

PPJA is a specific mod team, they make mods for Json Assets (JA)
Does anyone know if there is a way to modify the Automate mod so that it only automates when the machine is empty? So once say an iron bar is smelted it won't smelt the next until the first is removed?

Yup, that's what the error is saying. It's possible that they didn't know that there's another mod that already adds an item with the same name

Mods I find indispensible include:
• Yet Another Harvest With Scythe
• HorseWhistle
• Wear More Rings (actually had to add this to my stripped-down "developer" mod set, haha)
• UI Info Suite for several things but especially the crop labels (before I used it I used Simple Crop Label)
• NPC Map Locations
• Elle's mods for buildings, animals, and my horse (although I switched to Cuter Fatter Animals/CHONKINS for my chickens, I so love my retextured horse)
• Lookup Anything became a go-to in a hurry
• Automate
• Automatic Gates (WHY IS THIS NOT VANILLA SERIOUSLY)
• Chef Helper - Add to Fridges makes dropping off crops sooo much easier
• Similarly, Chests Anywhere was life-changing
• Gift Taste Helper
• Dae's Marnie and Jas Redesigns, which some kind soul updated for CP and are the only totally redone sprites I use (even with SVO I prefer the vanilla-esque look)
• Festival of the Mundane is not strictly indispensible but it's my very favorite bit of added content
• And I don't have dialogue mods in my developer mod set but I feel they add a lot to the game as a player 🙂

the mod's kind of a prerequisite for a few other things, so i'm sort of hoping that this won't cause issues?

it's because several optional mods aren't installed apparently that improve availability of items
agreed Glowbug, my mod list has such a huge "Quality of Life" section, I had to split it up into categories 
I hope someone out there smarter than me can help...
A very weird bug is happening with SVE installed.
This appears to only have started after completing the community center. The ground texture disappears after leaving an area once a triggered event happens. Objects and borders still work, only it appears to be walking on an invisible ground. Reloading the game from the title screen fixes the issue until another event is triggered.
To add to the confusion, if I am hosting multiplayer, farmhands do NOT have the issue and can see the ground. Although when loading the save file directly on their system as host, the issue happens as well.
