@zenith temple I made a quick n dirty 4 corner farm with SVE mod installed and this is what it looks like, if you're still interested:
I love four corners lol
Sve doesn't do anything to 4 corners
SVE only changes the farm if you install the IF2R file (and use standard layout)
SVE doesn't change the map

Idk about the group, but I'm definitely pro Farm Extended, and haven't used IFR2. Note that to use IFR2, you definitely need to install SVE, if you don't have it already
I wouldn't mind trying Immersvice myself, I haven't used it yet either, only just vanilla
I definitely have SVE, Sophia is my new crunch. But the immersive would make me have to redo all my croppage

Hm, you're right. Don't know how I missed that. I'll ask them to try again. I had them copy and paste the error that showed up on their Terminal as well, but I won't post it for now, since she's a little thick.
[#4974] "Switching to a custom farm map can be done, but you'll need to do extra steps in order to make sure you don't have buildings / items in the void, or not properly lined up.
You'll need to grab Reset Terrain Features and Noclip Mode to set you up.
Then, before you install the new map, you'll need to remove all machines / chests / etc. on your map, you can store them in a chest, preferably inside your farmhouse or barns /coops / sheds.
Then, go to Robin and move any buildings you have as close to the farmhouse as possible.
Then add the new map mod (ensure it replaces the farm type you're using, i.e. Standard, Riverland, Hilltop, or Wilderness), and you'll spend some time moving everything to a proper place.
You can use Reset Terrain Features to reset the bushes, trees, and other debris.

Most mods are fine to install mid game, unless otherwise specified, and even then, it's usually just stuff you have to tweak, nothing game breaking

Hours later, I’ve downloaded IF2R! Annnnnd the interior of my greenhouse is screwed up, do custom greenhouse interiors work with SVE? If so I want to use it, I liked it, but if not I have a ton of new farm space
I just wanted to know before I go back and take everything out of my old greenhouse interior so it doesn’t screw up!

Yup, you can use custom greenhouse interior/exterior, they just need to be installed in a special way.
(and if you ever did need to change stuff from a screwed up layout, NoClip mod is your best friend)

I can not pick up the ink in the witch's hut. When I looked at quests I noticed that I don't have the ink quest even though I've seen the wizard cutscene, got the talisman, and got passed the goblin. To be honest I have no idea if I had the talisman or goblin quests either as I wasn't paying attention. Anyway, I updated my mods that needed updated. I hadn't updated in a few weeks and had like 9. Ofc, QAP and LadderLocator are showing they need updated, but those 2 always show that no matter how many times I update them. I'm seeing nothing in my log, but I'm not very good with this at all. @unreal moat there are quests that talk about it, but there isn't actually one that gets removed from your log when you talk to him. It all finishes beforehand.

no ink in my wallet. i didn't even know it went there lol
- first it adds a mail flag to your save file saying you've picked up the ink
- next it activates it in your wallet
- third it changes the map to not show the ink on the table
- fourth it shows you picking up the ink
So I am guessing something went wrong and it did the first thing but then borked and failed on the last 3
Let's see if my theory holds up (and if yes, this is how to fix)
open your save file and do a search for this exact text

(follow the instructions to find it, then make a backup copy of the folder for that save somewhere else on your computer, just in case something gets screwed up when editing)

If you open your PlayerName_436278468 file and find that bit I mentioned, great! Delete exactly that text. Then save the file. Should fix it, I hope.
If you don't find it....... then I have no idea what the issue is. Might be a mod interfering badly with mouse input or something 👀

If you have Automate, you don't need Casks Anywhere
(well you do if you're loading them by hand, but Automate will accept them from chests all on its own)

Hmm. I wonder if the problem could be some mod that is handling input weirdly and not accounting for controllers in all situations 🤔
Ooof. Yeah without looking up the source code for each mod individually, there's no good way to guess which one might be responsible. 
If mouse click doesn't work, you'd need to trial-and-error disable groups of mods to narrow it down and find the culprit
(at which point we could investigate further and maybe suggest a fix to the author)

I finally figured out why the bus wasn’t working. It wasn’t the mods, it was the controller. I have to use the mouse to select garden village and to buy things from the villagers. I’m so glad I figured it out, it was killing me!
yeah controllers dont like custom interface
@shrewd gate for the shops what works for me is opening inventory and closing it in front of the shop, then i can interact with them with a controller

Hey everyone! Having some trouble with SVE. Any one down to help me out

Basically the mod was being weird earlier and freezing on the load screen with the whole SMAPI not responding thing. I got it to work eventually after I verified the game files and some other junk, but then when I stopped to do some HW i went back and it DIDNT work again. I tried doing everything I did earlier again but to no avail. i think youre right as when i click away while playing it does freezeframe. I did leave the game to load for quite a while though with it fullscreen and everything
it always stops on Json assets loading early and will progress to json assests fixing ids after a bit but then it just stops and stares at me like krobus

i dont see anything in the log that appeared obvious to me, but im also pretty bad at reading logs 
i feel it i cant read it at all. You tried though and thats what counts so thanks 🙂 i have a post on their subreddit as well as the forum on nexus so maybe that will help. anyone else here is welcome to try as well
most of the errors i encounter in my mods that i need to debug are .json parsing errors or property parsing errors, basically typoes.

i think one of them needs content patcher
and i have it in my folder
the mods i have are CJB Cheats, Content Patcher, DebugMode, FarmTypeManager and Rikuos Portaits
have you extracted the mods like so they are normal folders n not .zip or like .7zip/.rar?
@floral valve If you're on Windows, make sure you're starting SMAPI by either running StardewModdingAPI.exe directly from the game folder, or configuring Steam to launch it. (There are instructions for that here https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Windows#Option_A:_use_SMAPI.27s_installer in the Part 2: configure Steam section.)

although lag usually won't tend to happen with small amounts of mods
except on mobile

you can add mods to an existing save, although you may miss out on some content.

I origingally had 90+ mods and it was running smoothly, then recently it lagged, reduced it to 50 and it's still lagging the same way

@nova carbon of what you have, i would suspect content patcher animations, SVE's FTM component (spawns a lot of monsters, can be adjusted in the FTM config), and i guess wind effects
Generally it's not about the amount of mods but a specific few that are v resource draining
seasonal villager outfits might also be a culprit
Seasonal villager outfits can be very laggy, my friend and I the first time we had it, we had extreme lag so we had to remove it, but we have it again now and it’s completely fine
the config file is in the farm type manager mod folder (so not the SVE's FTM content pack folder), config.json and it can be edited with any text editor
wouldn't SVO (on its current state at least) only cause longer loading times though
or does it already have updates without screen transitions, i don't know
is there a mod that adds more dialogues and events for npc interactions that you can recommend?

yeah, that's good for general dialogue expansion
for events i don't think there really is a similar mod. quite a few npc mods add events that involve villagers in one way or another. SVE adds events, life cycle as well
removed the wind effects and removed then readded seasonal, seems okay now

So, my maniac checking on mods expanding the house:
- Bathroom after 2nd upgrade - cannot sleep
- Compact bathroom - same shiet
- Ace's expanded house - I have some artifacts in there fff
- Seasonal Garden Farmhouse - working, but I need to retexture it to my wooden needs
What's the best mod just to add some balanced, non-'immersion' breaking crops just for the sake of variety? I don't want new places or NPCs or anything, just some different crops to till each season

So my friends stopped playing our co-op world, but it got a good start and i want continue it, problem is I can't seem to remove their houses, when i go to demolish to buildings in robin's they dont show up, anyone know a way around this?

I don't think so? at least I don't remember such things being there last time I checked
the one thing that locks a significant amount of content out is completing the cc since multiple events rely on joja being in town
Also if you want more dialogue and events for Marnie amd Jas i made Ranch Expansion and highly recommend 10k Cats Immersive Shane.
Hi guys I've got a question concerning launch options. So far I've been using the method inside steam>Stardew Valley>Properties.
But now I'd like to have two steam shortcuts, one launching the vanilla game and the other SMAPI, but working with steam just like when you change the launch options.
I made a steam shortcut and wrote additional launch options with - , and this is what I have.
steam://rungameid/413150// -"D:\PROGRAMMES\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\StardewModdingAPI.exe" %command%
But it doesn't work and the game launches in normal mode, not smapi. I was wondering if anyone knew the correct way to type the launch option in a steam shortcut ?
Or maybe there is another way ? In short, I'd like to be able to launch either vanilla or smapi and have achievements and overlay working on both
Quite a few of the datable npc events in sve esp the mature ones wont trigger if youve seen some higher heart events with the chars
Ive just read through the sve json. Lfl has Jas and Vincent throwing rocks at Linus's tent? I always figured it was Sebastian or townies. Cannot see Jas doing it myself.

I recommend first updating your mods, that should fix some of the errors (there’s convenient links at the top of the log).
Next, note that you have 2 mods that were skipped; the error messages say how to fix that.
Not sure why Climates of Ferngill says it's broken, I think maybe because you're on Android? It's definitely fine on Windows (I use it), so check the mod description and comments to see if that mod is compatible with Android, same with Skill Prestige

Does SVE change furniture? I’m a bit baffled on what mod I’ve downloaded that’s changed my furniture, when I already had a mod for furniture before downloading more mods today
And also what are all of the different files that come with SVE? Do I have to keep all the different versions; TMX, JA, CM etc? I’m assuming they all have different content for the mod?

SVE doesn't change the furniture
Those files are for all the diff parts of the mod, if you delete them then u basically broke SVE

I’ve got it all downloaded and working so all good in that department
I mention it because you were asking earlier about the different folders, always good to check the mod description when trying to install a mod 
With my baby mod I had to use the config.json to select the little Sophia babies I wanted, so you may want to check that too!
I'm not sure what's caused your errors, but if you're sure you installed all those mods correctly, I'd check the mod description and comments of the mods with errors to confirm they're compatible with Android

I’m getting a loooot of errors, I’m just grabbing my log rq, my game crashed suddenly when I was trying to make it fullscreen, I had a ton of errors from SMAPI and Json Assets

there's a couple different mods that accomplish something like that, like Remote Fridge Storage, which is what I use
ChestEx expands the size of fridges and chests to whatever amount you set, but it's not 100% compatible with Automate
@deep totem yes. I’m going to disable them until players trigger them to spawn into the world. The reason they exist from day one was because of the character sprite sheet index for festival spawning. But I changed that for SVE 1.11.
I guess I'd ask because I'm likely going to deal with that at some point 😅 . When you say disable does it mean not adding the entries at all to the NPC disposition? Is the cause is the NPCs being anti-social or because the character sheet sprite index?

🤔 I’ll take a look. You say that this is with you not using SVE, however, which would absolutely not fix it. This is only the case if you’re using SVE and I forgot to make the initial LFL schedule conditional to using SVE. In which case, there are two ways of fixing it. 1) Add conditions to the initial schedule or 2) change the SVE schedule to use ”Action” : “EditData”
Doing it in the method you mentioned would actually change how it was intended to work with SVE by forcing LfL’s original schedule.

Updating manually is quick if you just copy and paste the purple links from the log in the background when you open the game
There is a feature available if you're a nexus premium member, so that's partly why it hasn't been implemented (it'd be difficult to do without stepping on nexus' toes). I don't think of the lack of auto update as a "problem" though, it's more of a nice-to-have

You can set "enable pregnancy" for them, and then some will show up in your barn without needing to buy more of them o.o

@torpid idol are you a farmhand in a multiplayer game? Custom NPCs are always invisible during Festivals to farmhands in multiplayer. Not just SVE NPCs, but NPCs from any mod.
i tried this in my own host a it still didnt however my friend could see them all

Yes, this is a known bug with ALL custom NPCs during festival events. Not just SVE. There is no fix.

(Also watch out - if a farmhand tries to marry a custom NPC it will very likely crash your whole game, unless that's been fixed and I don't know about it)
(as a side note, are Pathos and other modders aware of this, and it's truly a known, unfixable bug? Unlike the rotating map tiles thing, which was a known, fixable bug, but the mod author wasn't aware and thus hadn't fixed it 😄)
If you dare to try it, install Advanced Save Backup just in case, so you can revert to a pre-proposal save if it goes bad.

Lemurkat, sometimes the IDs get scrambled when you add extra JA mods, it's harmless
the price should be the same as the original intended item, though. I've had it happen to me and that was the case
HakunaMatata, if you're 100% sure you have the latest versions, it's possible the manifest.json just lists the incorrect version #, which is what SMAPI is going off of. It happens and it's harmless

Any CP ones should work for multiplayer, the problem would just be that you need a SMAPI mod to distinguish one player's children from another's.

(Lumi's mod works fine for me in multiplayer, just with the limitations I mentioned because it's a CP mod. It changes all children for the current player, even if it's someone else's children, hehe.)
yeah, it's a limitation of smapi, it's the same for, for example, deluxe barns, all deluxe barns will look the same if using only CP
i can do something like "if in cabin use this settings" but this will still apply to all cabins, so it's good for a two players save, but still not great for other cases
Just to clarify though it's not a limitation of SMAPI but Content Patcher - CP just lets you add/edit various assets and doesn't change how the game uses them. A SMAPI mod could do this, but the game itself shares child sprites, so CP doesn't do anything extra to distinguish them.

I think a cabin token would be nice for a SMAPI mod to sent to CP, so you could say "this specific player #'s cabin". That would be enough to location-lock assets like children in them, too... although with that route you'd need to say "this person is in cabin 4, this person is in cabin 2" so not optimal still.

Dialogue mods will replace eachother if they edit the same time/event with the last one loaded replacing the previous ones that conlfict

(foggywizard, the main issue is that i use a lot of options and overlay, and for people this would require a lot of work to use with this mod)
(They can be used together when they don't replace the same dialogue key -- or rather ALL the same ones :P -- but they can still conflict lore-wise, so that's usually something people are asking about compatibility-wise too.)

Itsbenter: I haven't had any issues with mixing my 29, but obviously gotta remember that there's probably a fair amount overlap in keys, so there's likely dialog from a mod I've not seen, because another mod "wins" the conflict.
Lorewise, I also haven't had issues, all of mine mix fine enough
By the by, the Canon-Friendly mod description has a sweet explanation about the conflict with some examples, if you wanted to take a look at that
i also know that it's hard to make compatibility with my mod because it is a bit complex

i posted about this last night but I left my game to load over night (i have SVE and I got it to work yesterday but then it just froze whenever i tried to load my save). It was recommended that i leave it to load in the background so i just left it over night AND THE GAME PROGRESSED TO THE END OF THE MONTH while it was saying 'SMAPI isnt responding' so the game is playing but i just cant play or see or do anything (like my player has just been sitting in bed and passing out for 20 straight days i guess). Can anyone help me out

Ok, sometimes I get the "SMAPI is not responding" message if I accidentally click on the screen while it's loading, and I use windowed borderless. I then select "wait for it to respond" and it does within a few seconds, not sure why yours took so long
ill try that. it seems to do that if i click at all.
If you want to roll back the saves to, you know, before the end of the month, SMAPI keeps backups in your Stardew Valley > save-backups folder

You can launch the game directly from StardewValley.exe to launch it without mods, but you won't get Steam achievements that way

You could also create a mod group that has no mods on it, launch that modgroup using SMAPI, and get the same result, but with Steam achievements

YASSSSSSSSSS @royal arrow I got it to work. I think what was holding it up was a tractor mod i had? but there was nothing in the log about that. I also had a mod that was uninstalled but the archive was still there and that mod didnt work with SVE so i dleted the archive, cleared my startup prefs and it WOrKED

i mean the easiest way to fix it is getting noclip mode and pressing F11 when you come back from the aquarium
you could also get CJB Cheats Menu and use it to warp back 🙂

Have you looked at the docs for train station mod? This might be fixable more simply than that
It's made to have the warp point be configurable for compatibility with mods that change the map

Hey guys, do the ppja packs work on android?
I saw a similar error with Custom Music recently, the issue was that the person had disabled audio on their computer. Does your computer have working speakers or an audio output device?
i just adjusted all my setting for streaming and did notice i didn't have sound for the game
That seems like it might be related then. If you manage to fix your sound, it might fix this error too.
I'd suggest looking at audio issues in the general troubleshooting page

i have audio now but nothing changed unfortunately. i reinstalled a couple times, deleted any trace of it on my computer then tried again. I noticed SVE has it's own custom music folder that's the same as the mod itself so i switched it out, but it's the same error code.

Had you got around to reinstalling XNA yet? If no, maybe try that
i just had voice meeter turned off so i had stardew going to a dead output. there was no real issue with it

Yeah, it's hard to know, I'm just doing guesswork based on Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Audio being mentioned in the error output.
If an XNA reinstall + computer reboot doesn't fix it, I think I'll be out of ideas 
welp, there's game audio, a fresh install, and a reboot with no fix. not a good sign.

Mods/[MFM] Fresh Meat
Mods/[PPJA] Fresh Meat
And then reinstall Fresh Meat mod.
And you also need expanded preconditions utility
You also need the new Expanded Preconditions Utility mod for the updated Shop Tile Framework mod to work yeah
and you have a MFM template in your mods folder for some reason

The TMXL errors seem to be caused by cascading issues from that json file error

I can't seem to get the SVE world map to show correctly - NPCs show up on the map but it's not updating to reflect the SVE map itself. I went through and tried to find all recolors that I could to disable the world map recolors they have but still no change in world map

let me try to uninstall/reinstall the mod and I'll grab the logs if it doesn't work
i finally found the solution to the custom music problem. although i had audio coming in, it didn't like which output i had set. i switched it to another that also gives audio to my headset, and there were no errors with all 29 mods installed.
@floral shard looks like the problem is Farm Extended overwriting the map changes

If you mean using other people's mods you should use whatever the mod you're downloading requires :) Most should have been converted to PFM by now. For making new ones, PFM is the way forward yeah.
okay sounds good -- the JsonAssets mods I was using like More Trees etc have all been converted since my absence so I was confused when the acronyms had all changed
Anyone ever have issues with Content Patcher mods on Linux (debian bullseye/sid, linux 5.7.0-3-amd64, mono version 6.12.0.90)?
I can run and play Stardew fine with mods like UI Info Suite or CJB cheats/item spawner. I installed SVE today and it kept causing issues, and I narrowed it down to crashing only when Eemie's recolor mod, Seasonal Villager Outfits or SVO for SVE mods are installed. Without them, the game runs fine.
The game crashes either on startup (with the Eemie recolor mod and SVE installed) or when I exit and enter buildings (with SVE and SVO mod installed). When I don't have SVE installed, the game doesn't seem to crash. (yet, I'm still trying to fully diagnose it)
