Hi there I am new and hope I am in the right place. I just updated my SVE mods, downloading the most recent version 3.6.2 I think. When I start a game though I get the standard map for my farm ? I used to have farm with side fence that allowed me to place barns etc and path to abandoned shed/building ...Can anyone offer any help please ?
I think SVE has the Immersive Farm 2 Remastered as an optional download. Did you downloaded and put it in the folder?

but if you have a retexture mod that retextures the map, it kinda overrides it

@rotund shadow if you've made zero changes since the last time you've played, try steam -> right click game -> properties -> local files -> verify integrity of game files

As long as you have none of the old replace-real-game-files xnb mods, all the mod stuff lives outside the game data so steam should leave it alone.

If you go back to that local files tab you should be able to click browse local files. Try launching stardewvalley.exe to launch the game without mods and SMAPI as a test?
don't load your save ofc, but you could poke a new game to verify it gets that far

then you can nuke and pave the install, and could delete the game directory after if you want to be super clean about it (that will require reinstalling SMAPI after installing the game, but that's not much work)
Yeah just mods and saves should do it but it won’t hurt to copy everything else
then put mods/saves back when it's reinstalled and see how it's doin'

and click ok, that should bump you to the stardew valley directory, and you can back up the saves from there.
For a full delete, uninstall in steam then delete D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley

If you launch SMAPI through steam normally, (I think) the special launch command will still be in place. If you want to first try launching the game as steam deploys it (good plan), you can use that local files browse dealie again to jump back into the stardew directory quick and launch the game manually

Buried in the trace messages (log parser hides by default) it looks like the window tried to resize a bunch of times in quick succession. If the restart didn't fix things, you could try going back to %appdata%\StardewValley\ and deleting the startup_preferences file and see if that makes a difference.

@hollow musk seasonal outfits mods don't work with Portraiture. You can put them in the Mods folder like a normal mod, and then they would replace Portraiture's "Vanilla* set.
They're supposed to be artisan valley machines but
I think PEMAutomate has messed with them
@rugged hazel do you mean mature events? In the config.json, there should be something like "mature events" that you can set to true
So I leave portraiture in my mods folder or take it out?
You can leave Portraiture in
They are just not a Portraiture mod, so they don't go in Portraiture folder

Just launch the game from Stardew Valley.exe without mods to run vanilla when you're playing with friends
Or if you want to still launch through Steam for achievements earning, temporarily rename your Mods folder to start with a .

Okay I need some advice if anyone knows anything about this I've got the Time Speed mod and I'm trying to make 10min equal to 200 sec or more. Anytime I get it above 100 seconds no time passes at all.

There right now isn't an easy way to search that, and name changes or differences can make it quite difficult for some mods
Bonus, then SMAPI logs could provide hyperlinks to missing dependencies just like they currently do for version updates
👀 what if smapi.io/log started scraping that info from uploaded logs in order to populate the database

If you're in multiplayer then sure, people should probably agree which mods to use, if any. For single player, no one reasonable cares - you should do what makes the game fun for you. 🙂

Energy management is kind of a big part of the game

Level up your endurance to increase your max stamina as you play.
(there's one for health as well)

As you level up various skills the '<tool> proficiency' bonuses you get also decrease stamina usage for a given tool, I believe.

It's a separate download on the SVE nexus files page, and you need to select the standard map.

You're free to try and use vortex for it if you think you can get it working. People have had some vortex issues with stardew due to assumptions the manager makes compared to how stardew mods/authors make things.
Others are using it fine
ive had no problems
and i have like 70 mods on vortex alone
literally when it gives me the choice i use vortex

If it doesn't work for IF2R your first step for troubleshooting should be trying to install it manually. 🙂
Yeah, sometimes it all works great. But other times it does weird things and doesn't install mods properly.

Hmm, @ebon minnow, I've seen someone with an issue like this. My best option for you is to temporarily remove mods and narrow it down to the one causing a problem. If you can't find the one with the problem, it could be a save file or game issue.

It most likely isn't a game issue, I have had an issue similar to this. If it is a game issue, try reinstalling or **verifying your game files **(https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Troubleshooting#Reset_your_content_files)

Try removing mods in groups (but keep the framework mods, such as PyTK, Content Patcher, etc.)

Also @hearty wedge I know personally that if you have on like enxtensive farm mod, your friends have to have it to in order to play with you, but most mods are local so it won't affect your friends files
@hearty wedge YW. Just make sure you like check the mods's like little notes and it lets you know if its affected by like multiplayer or not

It really depends on the mod. NPC Map Locations has to be installed by the host player to work for any other player, for example
And if you use it as a host player with any farmhand who doesn't use smapi at all, you'll get flood of red error text spam

@keen moss Champagne Wishes Mods you have Additional File that is Required i already have some of the requirment expect few of them
If you already have them you don’t need to reinstall them

That’s the only error I see? The others up top are either a) Mods that are out of date b) Looks like some might need extracted or a file was removed c) Related to the Giant Crops issue

If you're missing something the error messages will tell you what it is. Uploading to the website helps to make it more readable
The parser on that site helps (us fleshy bags of mostly water) interpret the error messages quite a bit.

You need a couple things:
- https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6529 is required for shop tile framework to load, which should fix shop tile framework and khadija's recipe shop.
- https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5173 (ty Jonqora!) is required for Shaved Ice & Frozen Treats to load.

Sooo, im having trouble with my controller being recognized by Stardew. And only Stardew. Steam and other games recognize it. Im using automate and the bare minimum for Artisan Valley

Eleazar, did you get the game through Steam, and/or do you use a mod manager like Vortex?
Ah, ok. I saw someone have trouble with Steam + Vortex + controller, and the only way they were able to use the controller was to get rid of Vortex and do manual install
If it's happening when you're not even running SMAPI I'd try testing some other stuff like checking for some other program snarfing the inputs or something.
Though weird that it'd only be stardew unless it's an issue with something only stardew is using like XNA or something.

It's just letting you know the way those two mods work might change things your save file needs (so basically "don't stop using these mods on the saves that already use them"), as I read it.
It's because they could technically be used to do some shenanigans to your saves, but to my knowledge, no mod uses them that way o.o
Mana's approach is solid though, just leave them installed and you'll be alright

I don't see that in the mod list in your log. If you don't see it in the mod directory it probably isn't installed (maybe it got deleted in the confusion?)

Check running processes for duplicate or old/dead things? Or a reboot is a pretty good way to clear the board then you could do stardew first -> launch things one at a time until the controller died

Might be a long shot, but can anyone confirm that CropsAnyTimeAnyWhere should allow all players in CoOp to be able to till on any ground type, correct? Provided, of course, that the config file has been set correctly? Do players have to have it in their Mod folder or just the host?
I thought it was just the host, but the farmhands can't till while I, as the host, can.
From the mod description, Geminia, it "must be installed by the main player" and it should work, but it doesn't specify further

Set the FTM config MonsterLimitPerLocation to 200 or lower if you're having lag trouble.

The mod author will generally list in the information if any of the requirements are optional.

Hey anyone here use More New Fish and Mermaid Island? I have a fascinating bug when I fish on the island during a sunny day, I get the fish exclamation mark, and when I try to reel the entire game hangs, I can mash click to complete the animation or wait, but I literally cannot enter the fish minigame.
Fishing works everywhere but the Island

Oh, the latest update doesn't change the version #? 
Sometimes that happens if the manifest.json file doesn't have the latest version #, SMAPI will keep telling you that you need to update, even though you know you did 
It's harmless, but you can edit the manifest.json file yourself if you want, to have the latest version #
For Teh Pers Fishing Overhaul, did you use the unofficial update? You can check mods.smapi.io for the link to it

Ian, you must not have very many mods. I suffered at having to remove 100+ mods and then add them back in to figure out which one is causing the issue (I've not needed to do it recently and thank YOBA because I'm up to 378 I think)
With Skyrim, I did the best I could, and usually would start a new playthrough, save every 2min
, and ultimately give up when it would keep crashing and I could do nothing. So it's just a race to get through the latest mod I'm trying out before it goes 💥

On first catch ever, if a cast roll would have failed (caught trash, expectedly), it gets replaced with a sunfish (no matter where you are or what fish can be caught there normally)
Did you reel in the fish on your test save to see what it was?

So to get that error, you had to:
- have More New Fish installed
- have Mermaid Island installed
- have it be the 27th of Fall, when a special fish is available everywhere
- go to Mermaid Island specifically to fish, even though the special fish is catchable on all maps

I think that would be pretty cool, as right now the time flowing kind of stresses me out, and Stardew was supposed to be this relaxing break from my more heavy games.

Though personally I'm not sure how well the energy = time works. That makes eating food to replenish energy kinda wonky, and makes it so the energy increases you get throughout the game aren't as useful
I'd recommend trying TimeSpeed mod, with the default time settings doubled or even tripled, and try out how that feels
(so all set to 14 or 21 instead of 7)

Idk, what I'm envisioning is a mod where you can speed up the day as you use energy. And as you eat more food and gain back more energy, the next day the limit for making time go faster would kind of increase. Or you could increase it with a stamina skill or something, I don't know.

I think you might be referring to the Generic Mod Config Menu (GMCM), that's only for mods that opt in, unfortunately

@tired apex i think this bash script should find and list all standard smapi keybindings set in config.json files (it matches "keybind followed by " or ,). it will likely result in some false positives (i only got those for Joys of Efficiency), but i think it's still useful

So, I'm playing in SVE and started a set of hops in the greenhouse until i can spread my ancient seeds a bit better. I have iridium sprinklers in there and they work. I have the trellis pass-through mod, and well - a lot more. Hops takes 11 days to grow right? I waited all season during summer after they grew to get hops and i have 6 fully grown, watered trellises with no hops. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? - Please @ me with your response.
so im trying to use the IF2R map alongside SVE and in the console it says IF2R isnt a smapi mod :/
it is - maybe there's been an issue with unpacking it. Can you share your log with https://smapi.io/log and also perhaps share a screenshot of where you've put the IF2R folders?

those folders aren't IF2R (remastered), they're IF2, which is different.
yeah, I see your IF2R is there. All of those ones are loading fine
But the extra folders that aren't loading belong to IF2
you can safely delete these 2 folders
