deleting Save Anywhere and deleting and reinstalling SVE should probably fix it!

now you can't overwrite because the nexus zip names include version numbers
anyway shophia you need to make sure there aren't any JA items from the packs you're trying to remove anywhere in the world
I really don't overwrite anyway, I just delete and then install the new version. @naive drum
so no JA items from the packs you want to remove in chests, player inventories, planted as crops, as forage, or in junimo huts
or placed in the world
That can cause fatal crashes if they aren't removed.

Probably a dumb idea, but try removing every mod that utilizes a .dll or .pdb (except for framework mods like PyTK, Content Patcher, etc.)

the lagspikes lasted a decent chunk of a second each, completely ate all inputs that happened during them, and would occur decently evenly spaced with a bit less than a second between them even when the game was paused

If you don't recursively load SMAPI, are you even modding?
Most of us prefer to manage our mods manually since SDV is one of the easier games to install mods for. ModDrop is the other mod manager we recommend but it also has flaws. Iโve seen a lot of discussion about MO2 recently but Iโm going to assume it has the same issues as the others because of the nature of being a mod manager. It also requires additional steps to get working.
If by extra steps you mean adding a single plugin, then sure.
Also, assuming something you're not familiar with is bad form.
MO is one of the more complex mod managers though, so average users, especially if they're not familiar with using it in other games, would have a steep learning curve

From what I can gather MO/MO2 are effectively NMM/Vortex but unaffiliated with Nexus and with some differences in design philosophy or functionality that lead to its proponents being quite fond of it.
Well, MO/MO2 were better than NMM/Vortex until nexus stepped up and incorporated some of the MO features to NMM/Vortex ๐

Everything said by both of us is real except I keep making up acronyms because I have a bad habit of doing so when people get into heavily using acronyms not everyone might follow. ๐
A handful of people have been in here in the past week or so saying Mechanical Olive 2's 'generic mod' (or something) plugin (function?) works well with Stardew.

But mouse reiterates that using Mod Organizer for Stardew Valley is overkill, and I agree, because of the steep learning curve, and the fact that manual install cuts out the middleprogram and is safe to do, unlike a Bethesda game, in which manual install is equivalent to XNB modding in Stardew Valley
(As a side note, I was under the impression MO = Mod Organizer was established earlier in the conversation, which is why I kept it abbreviated until someone's sass alerted me to the contrary :p I try, though not always remember, to actually say the thing before starting with the acronym lol)

We also have a fair number of people here who donโt know how to extract a zip file so we like to keep things as simple as possible so even 1 extra plugin for Multiple Orangutans might make somebody frustrated and not want to use mods.
I think also the "extra steps" involved is all the special install steps required by some mods that a mod manager can't handle without having been specially programmed for it. And at that point getting a user try to manually add stuff to a mod loadout that was handled by a manager can become incredibly complex depending on how the manager does it
I use MO2 for Modding Elder Scrolls games and I use ModDrop for modding Stardew Valley.
I just use whichever mod manager is best optimizated for whichever game

Stardew just doesn't need a mod manager at all at least with how SMAPI is set up
I can think of a few useful ways to set up a management system for stardew mods, but it's very unlike existing managers.

There are many mods that do 1 or 2 of those things but not a single mod that adds all of those. We can recommend some if we know what style you're looking for!

Here's a log I was asked to provide. The Griffin mod isn't working for me. Installed the unofficial port for 1.4 for bafv and the latest Griffin mod.
Maybe try reinstalling it? I haven't had any issues with this, so that's my best offer right now.

No, but that must be the issue. I use most of the mods in that list on PC.
It's also an unofficial update that hasn't been updated since Dec.2019 which is prior to 1.4 releasing on Android. There is an alternative to BFAV being developed that may work on Android. There is no ETA for release.

If you don't want to run the game through steam, you don't need to put the path in steam. You can just run StardewModdingAPI.exe in your game folder.

Custom Music mod makes edits to the GMCM code that broke things when GMCM updated to 1.2.0.
For now, remove your GMCM folder and replace it with the older version 1.1 found here under "old files". This will fix the problem.

After downgrading, just ignore the GMCM update alert in your log for now.
But keep an eye out for a Custom Music update! When that comes out, you'll finally be able to update both mods to their newest versions without issue. (Yay, new features!)

Looks all good for the mods! Only thing I see is steam is not loaded. If you're on Windows, you might need an extra step if you want to launch the game with Steam to enable steam achievements. Does that interest you?

Also Custom Music doesnt have an updated format number in their manifest so it keeps telling you update avaialble.
Most mods you can't change their config files while the game is running (at least, the changes won't apply)
Generic Mod Config Menu allows mods to opt-in and let you change config stuff from the game menu screen

The unlimited players mod should be fine. Only the host needs to install it. It only makes very minimal changes to the game.

It will allow you to build new cabins above the normal limit. You still need to build a cabin for each new player (the cabin is connected to their player data and save info)
Robin builds cabins instantly when purchased and they are cheap

In terms of all the other requirements, JA, Spacecore ( which is required by JA) and MFM are the kind of framework mods you'll probably need anyways as so many mods rely on them

Pretty unlikely don't worry! If you're nervous, you can make a backup copy of your whole save folder somewhere else on your computer

Automatically backs up your saves when loading the game and every night when you sleep.
And running the game with smapi starts to keep automatic save backups for you too. Up to 10 IRL days worth

You have both UI Info Suite and NPC Map Locations installed
Open UI Info Suite settings from the player menu in-game, and disable the show NPC locations feature
(NPC Map Locations mod does a better job of this esp. for SVE, so you'll want to use that one for this feature)
I have two issues, one I have the seasonal garden farmhouse that gives you an extended interior and anytime I try to click on the kitchen All i hear is a clicking noise and my avatar is moving very glitchy-like across the interior, it stps if i exit the house but continues once Im inside, same goes for going to bed. On reddit they told me it was because of a recipe mod, I dont know which one.

The second issue I have is after I added two mods today, The game would load but as soon as I clicked my save file I have to wait a long time, start hearing the spring music but not see the screen brighten. If I click it tells me to either wait or close program and then I`m back to square one.

Karmylla's Immersive Maps and Stardew Valley Expanded are no longer compatible. Remove one of them to fix the error. (When downloading a mod update, make sure to read the file description for update instructions!)

Something I'm confused by in the Json Assets errors. It even has stuff like Exception injecting weapon information for Tempered Galaxy Dagger: System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.

moonjasmine, do you know how to find your save file? i suddenly had a suspicion--it's possible you have a bugged item in a chest (often this happens with flower honey from a mod) and that's why JA is freaking out
I don't think thats it because I recently downloaded SVE and started a new file. I'm not eve 20 into spring yet.
All my other save files were deleted
it's still a possibility, item IDs get shuffled when you download a new JA mod and it's possible that something in your chests or inventory turned into an error item

@rigid stag hmm. Since you aren't in winter it's less likely to be causing issues you're right, but we should still fix it just in case. Change the More Grass "can live in winter" setting to false then.

hey guys! I've been dealing with an issue in the game for a little while now and thought I fixed it, but I unfortunately did not :/ everytime I go to click on the stove in my kitchen, the click noise keeps repeating itself fast and my character kinda glitches as well. I was able to stop the glitch by moving out of the house but still don't know how to resolve the issue

This might be a really hard one to track down though. You might have to try disabling groups of mods at a time, and when you finally get the error to stop, try re-adding them one by one in order to help solve the mystery of which 2 mods contain conflicting items

SMAPI compares the version number in a mod's manifest with the highest version number on its update key page
if there's a typo in the version file, or if the author updated an optional file or whatever and didn't use update subkeys, SMAPI can't tell the update alert is irrelevant/false

Yes. All the smapi update alert does is compare version numbers. If a file exists with a higher version number, it assumes it is an update.
Okay now I know why, 
So if a file on nexus is labelled as say, 1.3.0, but when you download it the manifest has a small error and the author still has 1.2.0 in there,
Smapi will look at it and be all "Hmm, this file on your computer says 1.2.0 in the manifest... But Nexusmods says there's a file labelled 1.3.0! That one must be new! Here's the link, you should update this mod."

Custom Music mod makes edits to the GMCM code that broke things when GMCM updated to 1.2.0.
For now, remove your GMCM folder and replace it with the older version 1.1 found here under "old files". This will fix the problem.

After downgrading, just ignore the GMCM update alert in your log for now.

ruunya, i'm not seeing a crash in that log? it does look like farmer has wing is missing some assets (i believe you have to install those separately? i'm not sure) which CP isn't loading
the last thing it did was build spouse rooms for sophia and riley from multiple spouses and remove mister ginger since the mod was removed
i updated ginger but missed a file so that is what was removed. the wing mod was working fine for a while so i can see way that would cause it, i adding some new shirts to be sold at Tailor Mouse, i think i added too many so removed all but one
it looks like mr. ginger isn't installed at all though, that yellow message is what happens when you remove a custom NPC entirely

I downloaded Yellog's Furniture and the bed and kitchen that came with it, but the vanilla furniture is over it. For the life of me, I can't figure out what's causing it. I removed all tilesheets that edited the farmhouse that don't belong to Yellog's mod, but the vanilla is still overlayed. Anyone have any ideas?

it did, the bed and kitchen. I edited the file so it doesn't do that anymore.

Okay. So here are the edits we need to tweak
[CP]Yellog's Furniture loaded TileSheets\furniture.
[CP]Yellog's kitchen and bed loaded Maps\farmhouse_tiles.
Right now yellog's mods are Loading, and then Starblue is Editing. Loading always happens first.

What we can do is change the Yellog mods to EditImage instead of Load, and then add a dependency in their manifest that will make sure the yellog edits are made after the Starblue edits.
idk if a less yellow stardew works with my farm map tho ;o;
Downside, you will lose any changes that Starblue makes to the farmhouse interior or to the furniture graphics
(yea I don't either, but Jonqora is setting you up for success here with Starblue o: )
But all of Starblue's changes elsewhere in the game will remain.

Sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering how someone would go about using mods on Android? I already have smapi, and a Nexus account. What else is needed?
(If that sounds OK, we can proceed lol. There are ways to make them even more compatible, but it would require more fussy image editing than i'm prepared to walk someone though ๐ )

Once that's installed to your phone and set up, everything else is just downloading, unzipping, and copying mod folders. 
And yes, I have downloaded smapi
(and troubleshooting and crying when mods don't work lol)
