but Ranch Exp and Mr Ginger should work with SVE.
They're designed to mostly over-ride dialogue and aside from adding a couple of addition scenes, SVE doesn't change their personalities away from mine. SVE has been quite good at keeping most things fairly vague. (Except the ||truth about Abigail|| but that's basically canonically accepted anyway)

Oh... I'm not familiar with Natural Color, it isn't a real mod, just a bunch of things that change the game's color through programming instead of Content Patcher. I wish I could help but unfortunately can't.

altneraltively, just delete the custom music file with woman in a painting and let it use the original tracks.

actually yes haha that's the part i was wondering too. i haven't done the math yet but idk if it's possible to get 10 hearts in just a season with birthday, max gifts in a week and chatting everyday
Someone has good interior for me? (cabin + NPC places)
given it's a struggle to get to 4 hearts for the flower dance, I'd say 5-6 hearts would be the max in a month without cheating
maybe if you went for unlimited gifts
Juliet was pretty easy to get to 5-hearts for the first flower dance.

I use a personal combination of A Less Yellow Stardew (dirt), A Wittily Named Recolor (cliffs), and Stardew Foliage - foliage only.
@dire fractal made a quick recolour of the debris to match sfr, you can try if it works

Hello! I've installed sve but for some reason original characters glitch while walking right/left, i have no idea why. There are just pieces of their portraits. Up/down walks work okay. Sve characters walk fine too

looks like the portraits have wound up in the Characters folder
XNB mods often break the game and are not recommended. but i made backups of original portraits so when i went back to vanilla portraits everything used to work fine
maybe try reinstalling the game?

If you used to use xnb then first thing is to reset content as Exnotic said. You might have backed the portraits but the sprites seem messed.

The George/Evelyn mod had a lot of dialogue set to Mon3 and other odd numbers, which doesn't trigger...

Man I wish I could have STVE
Side effect of SVE + SBV + Slime Livestock - you end up with a pokemon situation where there's critters sneaking around in the tall grass, and sometimes you can't see what.
Is that vanilla grass? ๐ I use Garden Grass and personally tweaked the file to make it even shorter so I could still be able to see my cute animals 
I think that's the starblue valley grass with the super-flower-grass disabled.
Everything sneaking gamboling around Marnie's ranch is kinda cute though so I'm leaving it tall.

Hello, question, I'm using vortex to install most of the mods i have but some i had to manually install, it's been working fine so far, but now there's 1 mod that I manually installed that doesn't load in, is there like a refresh thing that I need to do?
I think if it's 'enabled' in vortex then it's deployed to the mods directory. Is SMAPI giving you a message about it not loading? If so posting the log might be an easier way to see what's going on

Try disabling and re-enabling it in vortex? It should show up in the Mods directory on disk for stardew valley once enabled, I think. If it's not there I don't think SMAPI can see it, which would probably explain it not loading.

Could try that. If you go to c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods in File Explorer can you see the directory there for seasonal outfits?

@low wharf, you see the first red text, Skipped mods? It's listing mods that weren't added. For some, you're missing dependencies, so you have to install those, for others, you have duplicate mod folders, so you'll need to delete the extra copies and have only 1

Half the morning I've been wondering about how to solve adding ferrets as livestock, because what products would you add that wouldn't be grisly? Just had the horrible thought that they could just provide the normal rabbit drops since people use them to hunt rabbits, which is extra grisly. D:
I use Rabbit Floof, which changes the feet to lil floofs, and also updates the name and description. Maybe something like that could be done for the ferrets? 
Idk much about them but do they dig at all? Could have the "produce" be that they dig up nuts. There's a squirrel mod similar to that

I tried to upload my SMAPI log but it's saying the location doesn't exist. (I'm not very computer savvy so any help would be greatly appreciated ๐

If you put %APPDATA%\StardewValley\ErrorLogs in Explorer's location bar you should be able to open SMAPI-latest.txt and copy-paste the contents into the SMAPI log parser, as an alternate way to get it uploaded.

If you remove it from your Mods directory that'll remove it (or you can prefix the mod in question's directory name with a period character and it'll be skipped by SMAPI).
For some reasons I never passed the first month (Not because I get bored)
Some of the larger or more complex mods might have special removal instructions though, so it'd be good to check their nexus page or github page in order to see if they have any warnings or info

yeah, you could delete it. I would recommend checking the mod's page first just to see if it has any instructions. Some mods might need special cleanup for your save file, for instance.

Mostly I think you need to be careful about not having SVE-specific items in your inventory like butterfish, and you might need to do the terrain reset mentioned on the page - immersive farm 2 is quite different.
Each of the mod directories for SVE and Immersive Farm 2 would need to be individually removed to get rid of them completely.

I don't see anything. There are some framework mods you might be able to drop but I don't know offhand if the other mods you use make use of those. If not they shouldn't do anything AFAIK.

Have you been using SVE for a while and they recently disappeared or is this a fresh install?
usually if you remove SVE from a save file that had SVE, it removes those NPCs

@silver ibex okay easy fix. It looks like a bunch of the file is just missing. Since you didn't make any customizations to it, just delete the whole config.json. Smapi will create a new one next time you run the game!

yup!
You can do this with almost any mod by the way. If you bork the config somehow, just deleting it will let the mod create a default config replacement. You'll lose custom settings if you changed any, but you can always re-make those changes in a fresh, un-borked config file.

There are a few small ones that you may or may not have thought to put in your list that I don't see: I like Fishy Crops, which grows... fish. Hilarious. Fish's flowers is a different mod, also cute. Marsh Mallows, Mouse Ear Cress, Mulberry, and Lucky Clover each add just one cute little crop to the game. Neo's succulent farm is really gorgeous (though maybe doesn't match the original game art) and growing by the second. Stephan's Wild Crops are nice. There are 3-4 winter crop mods. Stardew Vineyard is just what it sounds. Spoopy Valley grows beautifully coloured very dark crops.
And with that I should really stop spamming text in chat and make a mod list like you two.

But yeah i was trying to download SVE and the trctor mod etc, and had it running but now when i open it smapi tells me im running 0 mods and have tried removing all of them and trying one by one but each of the mods wont work alone or together
If it says 0 mods, the installation for smapi probably got messed up somehow. Smapi comes preloaded with 2 mods automatically installed when done right.
Can you try re-installing smapi?

When you download the smapi folder, make sure you don't extract it into your game folder or mods folder. Put it somewhere like Desktop instead, then open it and run the installer file for your OS.

Looks like it's named Mods - SD but the SMAPI output is looking in Mods
I'm pretty sure you can tell it to use whatever you want, but you'd need to reconfigure it or pass the mod path as an argument I suspect. By default it's look at the specific path it lists in that SMAPI output window

hi there - totally new to modding SV. I downloaded all of the mods for SVE - when I load the game and look at the modmenu, it says "Error" next to pretty much all of the SVE-related mods and that it couldn't tell if they were up to date or not

@steady sandal you don't need to worry about this at all! The update alert mod you're using throws an error because those parts of the SVE mods don't have update keys. But that's done on purpose by the author, and it won't affect the game at all.
Oh - I actually didn't try to start the game. Is that normal, then?
The SVE mod consists of a bunch of content packs, but only the one main piece has a real update key in it. The others all have "???" and Mod Update Menu doesn't like that.
It's totally normal and is just an unfortunate false alarm between how SVE and Mod Update Menu are set up.

Hey all, I'm in need of some help, I believe I screwed something up on my farm
Like hmm, maybe SVE could change "???" to "null", and Mod Update Menu could code in an exception to ignore "bad" update keys if the value is just "null"?

I moved the machinery around in a spot in my farm, and choose a table to decorate the area, but I seem to have placed it in a way where this bush dissapeared
I deleted said table and moved it. Re started my game. Bush is still gone...

(I think "Clear" only removes stuff, "Generate" adds missing stuff, and "Reset" probably does both)

Question on config files: there isn't a mod that lets you edit config files in-game for anything other than SMAPI mods, right? I know GMCM lets you set up compatibility for changing settings in-game using GMCM, but that doesn't apply to like, CP mods o.o?

@royal arrow yeah, none for CP mods. It would need to be integrated into a future version of CP itself with major changes under the hood.

Yes that's correct. They have to include the GMCM API structure in their mod and use its provided functions to register their config with it

Ok cool, thanks! One of my farmhands is having trouble with using the keybind for Chests Anywhere while using a controller, and I got to thinking about checking the keybinds other mods use without having to look in each individual mod's config.json file, but alas
Ah yes. I think a keybind manager has been discussed as an idea before (either as a standalone mod or more likely a part of smapi somehow)
If SMAPI could detect two mods having the same keybind, that would be handy sometimes ๐

I gave him the whole mods folder and he copied them, he checked and the keybind is the default, B, but when he presses it, nothing happens. The other farmhand can use it with no issues, and she has a controller too o.o

Oh, the -interiors- and the furniture are all coorectly recolored. Exteriors however are not
it looks like you have another mod that changes your buildings, are those by chance the ones that aren't recolored?

They're both only using the keyboard for mod-added menus. We're all on Windows, and they have different controllers. The farmhand that has it working fine is using a generic Xbox controller and the one who has issues has an advanced Xbox controller, which I'm being told has more buttons that can have macros added
Buildings are Japanese seasonal, and unchanged, but all grass, trees and bushes are also vanilla
Except a specific little 'fern'
Interiors, at least my farmhouse, are appropriately recolored
Interior, appropriate recoloration seen as by bed and the white top border
@royal arrow is the player with problems able to use the keyboard OK for something else like CJB cheats menu?
He confirmed the hotkey for CJB Cheats Menu (P) works fine
