I get some in my crab pots up where the greenhouse used to be. Also the fishing floors in the mines.
whenever I'm looking for fish all I get is trash but I want soggy newspaper and all I get is fish
I'm not fishing level 7 yet so I can just fish on floor 100 in the mines and get 100% trash
I really just need a cloth for the artisan bundle and I can't afford rabbits yet

Longevity does indeed do what you're looking for, but it uses outdated techniques to mod things (XNB) and is incompatible with a lot of other mods because of it.

Yep those come default with smapi
They are useful tools, you may never need them, but if you do you'll be glad they're there
yea if you need to debug, or heck, to roll back a save, those mods will help
Is there any kind of mod organizer tool out there for Stardew Mods? I am thinking of something similar to ModOrganizer2 for Fallout/Skyrim -- where you can setup different profiles and run various mods but it uses a virtual mod directory so you don't have to install and uninstall everything constantly
I don't know if there is one that sophisticated for Stardew Valley, but I know ModDrop is the recommended mod manager (if you don't want to install mods manually), you can check out that one
I've used ModDrop and it is SUPER SLOW...like glacial. I would give it a 2/10 compared to ModOrganizer2...barely functional.
I hadn't heard that o: ! I'll say that I find the fact that mods are in separate folder just by using SMAPI helps make the process a little more ModOrganizer-like, but I get what you mean that you can't do different profiles

I had it installed via Moddrop -- but was forced to uninstall it due to even having it on my system blocked Skyrim modding from working
But I see there is a download button on nexusmods for 'download with mod manager' ... which I use all the time for skyrim and MO2 but others use Vortex. Anyone with Vortex experience for Stardew?

you're welcome, although sorry I couldn't be more help, I'm not sure why it's crashing your browser, and while yes, it's a bigger file than most SDV mods, it's not really all that big considering the size of other mods out there, for other games (think Skyrim).

smapi knows to load it for its framework based on the manifest.json, so 99% of mods is just drop into the Mods folder and it's ready to go

you'd be surprised, to me it seems like a lot of people prefer the game to be more challenging/difficult, and I'm all for making things a little bit easier xD to each their own, though! everyone finds different things fun

You've also got an error in your Chests Anywhere config. If you want to toggle using the - button, you need to use the key name OemMinus in the config instead (Or Subtract if you meant the one on the NumPad)
Is there a Wiki for Stardew Valley Expanded ? or if anyone can tell me if Leeks spawn in a different season than spring ? I seriously cant find any. Im also using Immersive Farm 2 remastered
Yes there is a wiki. Spring onions (is that what you mean) spawn as usual, they're just down on the path near the exit to Blue Moon Vineyard
Leeks on the other hand are just like always, spawn anywhere in spring, probably just luck if you haven't found any yet

More New Fish and TehPers Fishing overhaul
In the desc. of newfish it says to delete fish.json and fishTraits.json from the tehpeh folder, and install newfish, but when i try to do that, every time i start the game a new, fish.json an fishtrais.json will be created inside the Fishing Overhaul Folder

That's a config option in npcmaplocations
just go to the globals .json in the config folder for that mod and set debug mode to false

I'm having issues getting Seasonal Outfits and Baechu portraits to work together again. I'm installing Seasonal outfits first then overwriting with Baechu.
Have you tried adding a dependency on Seasonal Outfits into the Beachu manifest, to make sure it loads after? I'm not certain, but that might work.

@outer turret sorry for the ping! i wanted to add charlie to my current game but do you think their version of gunther would conflict with jasper's gunther?
atm yes. I'll figure out a work around for dialogue before the next update, but unfortunately if you install Charlie you will add a second Gunther to the game, starting at 0 hearts, and hide the original one. Mine can be configured off too.
I don't think there's any way to retain your heart level, since both use different core game names (mine is just the standard, Charlie's uses the same trick as SVE do with Marlon). You could edit out Charlie's Gunther though I'm not sure what sort of flow on effect that might have, since he moves and mine is static.
alternately, you could just use CJB cheats to set Charlie's Gun to the same heart level you have with mine.
then configure mine off
but oyu'll lose Marlon too since it's the same toggle for both
(although actually I'm not sure I've uploaded that version yet come to think of it, the config thing might be in my current version I haven't uploaded yet)
anyhow, long story short, if you use them together it probably won't break your game but Gunther will be on your social menu twice.
oh i see, i figured it would. hmm i'll test things out for awhile. i don't mind having two gunthers around but ah that could possibly affect something else with the archeology house map. thank you for the detailed explanation! 
it shouldn't affect anything.. mine doesn't move and will now (probably) be hidden behind a vase - but possibly still accessible?

Luna I think some must be "Load" and some must be using "EditImage"? The Edit ones will work, but the Load ones will clash and default
also I don't htink you're supposed to have all three of the Penny and Sam Life Cycle ones loaded simultaneously?
@steady whale Oh I know what's happening. The Baechu Content Patcher pack is using "Load" instead of "EditImage" for all the images. And Seasonal Outfits is using "EditImage".
Content Patcher always applies Load edits before EditImage edits, so even with the dependency in the manifest, Baechu is always going first.
You might be able to fix this by opening the Baechu content.json file and editing it yourself. Without looking at it to check more closely, it will probably work if you find every time it says "Load" and just replace that with "EditImage".
dangit I now have the same problem as A r i. I want to update Charlie but I don't want to lose my Gunther... I also want Jasper to be compatible with Charlie though!
Do I need a new save file for Stardew Valley Expanded?
Stardew Valley Expanded does not need a new save file. But there are extra steps to follow if you want to use an existing save. And you will miss out on some of the new content it adds for heart events etc.
Alright, does my farm stay the same or reset
it stays the same, which can be an issue if you're using the Standard farm map and download the optional IF2R standard farm map replacer because all your crops/machines/animals/etc stay in the same coordinates but the landscape changes
Is there a specific tutorial on how to fix this, as some of my buildings and crops could clip into landscape
You would have to move them yourself ahead of time, or move them after using NoClip mod to help

I've spent the last 45 minutes looking over pictures of SVR 1 and comaring the two, and man
they're both good imo, and as much as i like the first one, i think it's less of a hassle to maintain anything that doesn't break the vanilla npc pathing hence svr2.

weird, it's the only map with an issue so far, we have played for a while

interesting, the jungle temple seems fine from the same mod
at least, as much as I can test with it. it says it has a skull key hole
it's meant as a demo file for tmxl afaik. if you searched its own nexus page, the mod author has already described it as outdated and doesn't work for the current version of the game.
I fixed the content.json for Dr.Scnabel to work with Walk to the desert. the Dr.Scnabel mod was setting it's version of the tunnel to replace, so removed the replace and made it into a "addWarps" instead, since Walk to the desert already removed the bar blocking it

@jagged grail the newest SMAPI version does support the latest version of the game. You can grab it from https://smapi.io, or from https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer/releases/tag/1.5.7 if you're on Android

I also sometimes see people who have 2 copies of SDV installed on their computer somehow, and when they install/update smapi, it goes into the wrong place.

Okay! If you can, share here what the installer screen says for output when the smapi installer is finished.
The other "gotcha" I remember is that when you download the installer, don't put it anywhere in the game folder. Put it somewhere else like Desktop instead, and then run the installer from there.

Most CP mods oughta work 🤔 I can't think of any that cause problems off the top of my head (or at least none that would cause problems on Android but not on PC)
The only ones I've heard people have issues with are hair mods and interface recolor mods, but idr the specifics

I don't know of anything specific between SVE and Teh's - the overhaul itself is kind of just limping around with a shaky unofficial update. If someone has it working though, I don't know if it would need special compatibility with fish adding mods or not

Yeah Ive been using the unofficial one without any issue, although my friend does get problems when we play together and he has it installed as well. I guess someone lied to me 😦 Which I shouldnt be shocked, its reddit! haha. Thank you for asking, I give up on my search.
The latest one is pretty recent, so hopefully it ironed out all the issues people were having with previous incarnations :) But by limping along I just mean that the original is broken and there hasn't be an actual official update in a long time (over a year).

I think it was SVE reddit where I was lied to. Although the SVE creator said they were going to try to make it work. Based on all the reading its one of the most requested changes haha, so I know it will happen someday. And @royal arrow I do and I read it and go "Yes, I am right" and I even check the Wiki and I am right but then I never get the dumb fish. Although I think its the rarest new one so its probably just me being impaitent.

Do you use the lil info toggle on the fishing overhaul (I forget what it's actually called 😓) so it tells you what chances you have of catching what fish, when you have your fishing rod out?

Do you use the Fish Preview mod at all? Maybe that would also help see the fishie when it's on the hook o.o although I think by default for fish you haven't caught, it doesn't show them

I've used TehPers and I tried another one after removing Pers. Let me check my download history. I know both are removed.
Also Fish Preview doesn't actually help you catch fish, it's just a visual indicator 
Yeah I am 99% sure I did that. I saw something about deleting the config, reloading and then deleting it while the game was running and hitting f5

It works very nicely for me, except that sunflowers appear to be counted as crops rather than flowers and I sometimes scythe them and mess up my honey by mistake 😄

@fair vessel I think it may be Another Hunger Mod, but deleting that mod had no effect.
The only thing that looks strange at all is that TMXL edits the forest map 17 times right before it crashes... not sure if that's normal for it, or some indication that it got stuck in a loop or something.
But you don't have any TMXL packs aside from SVE, so that doesn't help much at pointing to a solution anyway.

It's optional so you shouldn't have to, but most people do use it with SVE, so I wonder if maybe it's a lesser-seen bug that only affects people without it. 🤔

Another Hunger Mod’s old version had a buff that upped your defense, and I believe that may be the root of the problem. I have the updated version that removes that feature, though, and it still does it.

I have also tried deleting the mod altogether, and while that removes the features, I still only take 1 damage.
Could it have changed my savegame data somehow? Can I find if there are any buffs or if I have a strange defense value by perusing my savegame data?

@shell plover if you are playing on multiplayer, then the problem is not you. Someone else is using a mod that affects combat/monster data in the game, and those types of mods affect all players when used (even if the only person who has it installed is a farmhand).

@unreal urchin if you open your save file in any text editor, you should be able to search through it and find a section that starts with <mailReceived> and ends with </mailReceived>
If somewhere inside that section you add this:
<string>museumCollectedRewardBO_139_1</string>
then it will work to offer you the rarecrow for purchase next time you visit the Night Market.
(Just make sure you stick the new part in a place where it doesn't interrupt any other entries in that section)

Hi, I was wondering if anyone might know about problems with any of the mods that send new recipes, meat, trees, crops, etc. As far as not receiving the attachment in the mail, and instead of them item (when purchasing in the store) it's an error item.? I disabled all my mods except the ones needed to use these mods, except for tractor, and a CPL more cosmetic house mods. I am on Android though, and I am new to the modding world. @slender glen With DestroyableBushes you can just cut down the bushes in front of the adventurers guild. They’ll grow back, but it’ll still be accessible, and maybe you’ll get tired enough of it to use console commands someday. I think there’s a process you can uninstall SVE with that might not break your save, but that seems like more work to me. Check the SVE nexus page and the wiki for that
reset terrain features also works just as well, if you dont have upgraded tools

Ranch Pack will work functionally with SVE. Unless theyve changed the maps since I made it. Some plot stuff may not align. I have different lore around Adventurers Guild.

Ah! I started it up from the folder StardewModdingAPI rather than from steam and now its worked

Oooh yea you have several PPJA mods. The mouseypounds database lists most of the recipes available, but it's not all of them, since it's manually updated. Like I mentioned earlier, some you may get in year 2, 3, or maybe even 4? I've personally only gotten to year 3 once and that was on a vanilla save >_>

Looking at the Custom Casks mod I see it has a setting for casks everywhere, and you also have the Casks Everywhere mod installed. Do you have the setting in Custom Casks set to false?

Hi, can you guys help me? I'm on Linux. I'm having trouble with my stardew game, the game looks like its like evening all the time, but during night looks like its afternoon, I have Ambient Lighting so I think that that may be causing the troubles but I don't know what could be happening, another things is that my smapi begins loading with this warning "AL lib: (EE) AddFileEntry: Failed to load /usr/share/openal/hrtf/Default HRTF.mhr" also "Farmer to Florist" isn't loading beacause is missing files but I can't figure what. Finally smapi is trowing this error like crazy, "libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile" can anyone help? @lament junco hi it looks like you don't have the JA folder for Farmer to Florist, so I think that's what is causing the error (note that it's not listed under Json Assets near the top of the log)
for your light problem, you can try temporarily removing Ambient Lightning and load the game to see if that is indeed the cause, but I'm not sure why that's happening

delete ambient light and it fixed the error, re-downloaded farmer to florist and made absolutely sure everything was there and the error still persists, and the error "libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile " still spams smapi like crazy

I did but I took it out and put it in the mod folder

The only other thing is, does the JA Farmer to Florist folder have inside it a manifest.json? I think it must, because it at least somewhat loads the mod. If the manifest.json file is in there and it still doesn't work, then I'm not sure what's causing the issue :c hopefully someone else in the chat does

Hi llb, it looks like you didn't properly install Immersive Farm 2 Remastered? I recommend deleting the folder you have and then installing it again. that should also address your Extended Minecart issue
for the Tractor mod, it looks like you don't have a file named tractor.png in your assets folder of the TractorMod folder, and it needs a file named that to be able to load

you could always replace the BFAV quail sprites with lavapulse's quail sprites for your own use!

Hi all! I'm working on a quest mod and am looking for some opinions here. I was initially thinking of giving the player 5 days to complete the quests, but given how many quests I'm adding, there will be lots of overlap with multiple quests being available at the same time. As players, would you rather have 3 days to complete the quests, and have less overlap, or have 5 days to complete the quests, even if that means you might have more than 1 at the same time?
Alternatively, I could set it up so that there's an element of randomness to whether you get the quests, so that will help reduce the amount of overlap as well, even with 5 days to complete the quests o:

You can toggle off stuff in the config menu, and if there's a mod that does that, then yea. For example, I toggle off the npc locations feature in UI Info Suite, and instead use NPC Map Locations

On the SVE installation, do i use an apk or the original in the play store to install the SVE?
You need to get ZaneYork's smapi installer for Android in order to use mods on android
You don't need to do anything that touches the Stardew Valley apk itself
but it is said that i have to install the sv for it to work?

Once you get Android smapi installed, you can install SVE (and all its required mods) by downloading them and extracting their contents into the Mods folder on your phone.
Is it possible to remove horse hoof sound when using horse? because I want to change horse to another animal using mod and the sound still there making it not so good

your log doesn't show you have any mods installed. check your file directory again to make sure you extracted all the mods required by sve correctly
i'm not sure if it can load with 3gb ram tbh, but let's try and see. i know for sure it doesn't load with 2gb ram, somebody else had this problem earlier and they've installed everything correctly but sve doesn't load for them.

That's a known bug with UI Info Suite, if you're using that. It hasn't been updated to show the correct range for the deluxe one.
But the actual range of it is still twice as big, don't worry.

And I ran a memory diagnostic, and it didn't find any problems
Are you running any other programs at the same time as Stardew? (Especially, for example, an internet browser with a ton of tabs open?)
(Still upload your log though, that will help if the problem is actually with a mod)

I'm wondering if it's something specific to spawning in a new item, or if the problem is more general, triggered by any console command at all.
All it takes is one debug command, and the game itself freezes while the red error text literally floods the SMAPI log

Woooah. That is weird. It's like anything that SMAPI does to alter game behaviour, the game crashes.
I'm kinda suspecting possible antivirus interference at this point
SMAPI is after all a program that interferes with how another separate program (the game) runs, and some antivirus programs freak out at that
So I've tried putting exceptions for the files into my antivirus program

Same thing happened, but red error text didn't show up
Game still froze though

Definitely reinstall those two I mentioned though. They might be responsible if it's something with how your computer is running the game
First, I'm gonna try to uninstall some things on my computer
And then I'll try to reinstall those two programs and see what happens
So for the first few times, the game kept freezing at the menu
Then I was able to get to my save and enter some debug commands without the error text
But then the game suddenly crashed
And the log doesn't seem to report anything unusual
I think I'll try reinstalling .NET and XNA now

also you have duplicate copies of smapi inside your mods folder, might want to get rid of that too

It's one of the files on the SVE mod page
it's not strictly required either, just recommended. Make sure you install all three folders in the zip 🙂
also I think you are using SVE, but note that you can't use IF2R (IFR2?) without SVE right out of the box, you'd have to do some tweaks, and even then, it's not guaranteed to work

@shell dagger I'm not sure about the cattle troughs idea, but it depends on what you mean by improve agriculture
I know Advanced Farming adds a lot of cool stuff to expand on the farming aspect
I will look into it, know any mods that give more helping hands to expand farm production or is that in the same mod as well.
(Im tiny bit interested if their a grow up kids mod that will allow your kids to grow up and work on the farm)
Advanced Farming adds machines and a bunch of other stuff, you can check out the mod page on Nexus for details
I know there's a mod that lets your kids become NPCs, Child to NPC (available on Nexus), and I think there may be something that also allows them to help on the farm? Not sure of how detailed that is, you can check the Requirements section of Child to NPC, it'll show what mods require Child to NPC to expand on it

Ah, you have Seasonal Villager Outfits (SVO). I think that might be what's overwriting your sprites
i completely forgot about that one..
that's probably it. I had to turn off Jas and Marnie's seasonal outfits when I added custom sprites for them 🙂

I'm working a checklist for your harder CC bundles but had a couple of questions (I'm not sure if you already responded on Nexus before migrating so sorry for the repetition). ||For the Lost Bundle - Easy you need 25 gold ancient fruit, 10 for Regular, then back up to 25 for Hard. Was that intentional? Also, to my knowledge item quality is 0 (no star), 1 (silver), 2 (gold) 3 (iridium) but I noticed for Hard there is a 4 for iridium wine and then 3 for gold ancient fruit. I was wondering if those were special cases for the quality rating. I'm using your json files so I don't have them up in the game to see how they actually show up, so I wanted to confirm before adding them to the list.|| Thank you!
