Rosebut im not verry good at this but what i could see is that you seem to have mod files in 2 different drives
@misty surge you are missing some dependencies for SVE, Bathhouse Running Water, and Wildflower Grass Field, they're listed in that first block of red text, Skipped mods. In that block, I see you're also having issues with Custom Farming Automate Bridge, there's an unofficial update for that here https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/updating-mods-for-stardew-valley-1-4.156000/page-26#post-3354284
You're also having issues with translation files, but I don't know anything about those, so I can't help you there. Hopefully someone else here can help with that, although it may be an updating issue โฌ๏ธ
Lastly, you have several mods that can be updated, which are listed at the very top of your log with convenient links. That includes SVE, which needs to be updated in a very specific way: you have to delete all of its previous folders, and then install the new ones. You can't overwrite the files / folders, because the file / folder structure has changed a lot with the last few versions
I believe updating SVE and all your other mods will help / get rid of the TMXL errors
To clarify: both you and your boyfriend should update all your mods, and be extra careful with updating SVE

These mods affect time differently, so take a look at them to see if they do what you want. I think if you use TimeSpeed, you won't need Time Freeze:

Control the flow of time in the game: speed it up, slow it down, or freeze it altogether. This can happen automatically or when you press a key in the game.
Allows the player to tweak how passing out at 2am is handled, and stops Jojo Mart and others from wandering onto your farm to put you in bed when you fall asleep on your own porch or barn.

So I'm thinking on my second playthrough of using mods just to change the game up a bit [ my current first and only save file is 100% on vanilla.] - I'm not exactly looking for mods that change the functionality of things/make them easier or such, but moreso make things more visually pleasing and aesthetically enjoyable. Do any modders have suggestions on which ones I should pursue? I like vintage and colorful things.
In Nexus Mods, there are "vintage" user interface replacers. You may also like mods that contain "rustic" or "country" in the title, if you're going for that aesthetic, so you can search for that in Nexus Mods (DustBeauty on Nexus has a couple of mods for those). For those, you'll see furniture mods, as well as walls / floors

I mean. I think in general, unless you have a specific reason, you should use the latest version of a mod. In your case, the latest version might have a config file that specifies which version of the dog you want to use?
Currently though, which version of the retexture for the dog you get, is tied to which dog you picked at the start of your save. Since you mentioned you only see the corgi, I imagine that means you picked whichever dog the game categorized as "dog2", when you created your save

Right, you downloaded the main file (which is why it's first on the list), which makes sense. let me take a look at the mod page
see, what had happened was, with the November 2019 update, CA added more dogs / cats, and that complicated things for mods that replace the dogs / cats lol
Also I imagine you installed this mod mid-save, right? Like, you didn't start a new save, you added this mod to an existing save you were already playing in?
Let me clarify, did you install this mod, THEN start a new save, and picked your farmer name / farm name / etc.? Or was it a save you had already played in (even if it's only day 1), and then you installed this mod?

Ok they have you editing things in the content.json file, which isn't the best way to go about this, but it happens. Since you're seeing the corgi, I think in that same line you have the corgi, you should put the lady-light, since lady-light is the one you want
I think what happened was, whichever dog you picked, was recognized by the game as "dog2", which is why you're seeing a corgi in-game (I'm basing this off of what the "Target" is listed as for each change).

I use Seasonal Villager Outfits (SVO), which gives everyone additional portraits and sprites, based on the season
ooh I wish the portraits I used had seasonal outfits
So they were jackets in winter, more short sleeves in summer, etc.

If I installed a mod, for example Warm Cozy Fireplaces, and I wanted to get rid of it, how would I go about doing so. This mod is a mod where you have to replace the files given with the in game ones, meaning they are replaces, would I have to re-install smapi (Wow) to get rid of these mods? (You have to replace the game's furniture.xnb with the mod's furniture xnb in the TileSheets folder)

Hi @hardy wave, it sounds like you used the XNB version of that mod, bummer! It does have a CP version. If you didn't keep a backup of the original game file, you'll have to reset your game files to get rid of it. Make a backup of your saves first, just in case, then check the link below from the Governor on resetting your game files โฌ๏ธ
Also in future, I recommend you avoid using XNB mods, and you can use the 2nd link below to search for Content Patcher alternatives for XNB mods you're interested in

i believe the starblue valley recolour changes the files the kitchen changes
you could try disabling the interior changes in starblue but it will change a bit of the other thhings in the recolour too idk
or you could use a different recolour such as stardew foliage redone
but yeah sadly it is starblue causing the issue

To my knowledge, SMAPI doesn't do anything with XNB mods, including removing them

SMAPI doesn't load XNB mods. An XNB mod literally replaces the game file, so it's loaded as if it were part of the game. SMAPI mods go in the Mods* folder, and even those aren't installed / uninstalled by SMAPI. SMAPI just loads the mods
So I have good news and bad news. All the items that got replaced with the moded xnb files are gone, but now the original items don't exist. Like a small junimo plush was replaces with a modded book and now it's just NOTHING like it's not there?
I have cjb item spawner and it's just an empty spot, if you scroll over it it shows Small Junimo Plush but nothing shows up, you can place it but again, nothing shows up. At this point, would it bring those items back if I re-installed smapi?
My steam tab also opened and it's been connecting to my account for like 6 mins but that is probably not a smapi issue
Your issue isn't SMAPI related, so unfortunately, as easy as it may be to say just reinstall it, that's not necessary in your case. Those items won't come back by reinstalling SMAPI

Is anyone else getting the message to update many mods even though they are in their latest version? I follow them all in Nexus and there's no new updates... 
When that happens, it's because the mod author didn't update the version # in their mod's manifest.json file
But it's not since the last update, it started randomly yesterday

also have you personally added update keys to your mods' manifest.json files? When I've done that, they often say there's updates needed, but again that's also because the version # in the manifest.json file hadn't been updated in a while
I have absolutely zero modding idea, so I only touch config files for those mods you're meant to pick things, I don't get near the rest

So probably the mod author, in the latest version, added update keys to all those mods, and / or didn't update the version # in the manifest.json file

@royal arrow I used the link the bot provided, I saw I needed to download the two things that were there, the first one was already downloaded so I skipped it, and the second one was installed properly. Not sure if not re-installing the first one caused any problems.

It cannot be there if you validate your files and let it reacquire files.
If you've reset your files and the modded version is still there you probably have the CP pack installed as well. I don't know if you've posted a log above.
If you're launching through a desktop shortcut and not through steam it's also fully possible you're launching it from a different folder. (I have 4 copies of the game on my PC in different locations ๐ ) In which case resetting the files through Steam is only going to reset the files under /Steam/steamapps/common/StardewValley

I know I've seen warnings like this before when you don't have a mod installed that provides the item (like "no idea what Tapioca is" if you don't have Artisan Valley installed, but you have More Recipes). However, lilmarsgirl, you have all the mods installed from the requirements page, unless I'm missing something
The watermelon soda and syrup stuff, that's from the Eemie's melons for Artisanal Soda Makers right?
So at least it looks like the warnings you have are around the Artisanal Soda Maker mod

Yeah you're missing dependencies. They're soft dependencies since PFM doesn't have a way to specify to use a rule if a certain mod is/isn't installed. Those errors are also harmless.
None of those are PPJA so I'm not sure what they're from to direct you to their pages to check their dependencies. They might also only be listed in the description since they're a soft dependency
well, harmless in the sense that it won't break anything, but if you're trying to make a recipe that uses that syrup, you can't make the recipe, right?
Yeah you can't make the recipes if the item doesn't exist.
For the PFM errors there is no item for the output (missing pack) and for the JA issue the pack that contains Cherry Blossom Syrup is missing.

@ lilmarsgirl You're on Mac so the last two issues are probably because of Mac being case sensitive. They should be producerRules and producersConfig. Looking at it they might be typed ProducerRules and ProducersConfig in the file name. This doesn't matter on Windows but on Mac it does.
The first issue I have no idea which mod contains Brain Slug. Min should have put it on the Harder Bundles page.

SMAPI is saying the game is starting but where the game
You're in Select mode for some reason which pauses loading, press Esc to exit Select Mode
one time i got super worried because stardew had 'randomly' frozen...i had accidentally selected some text on the console so it paused stardew valley

like there's the pause function pause and then there's "nothing is happening because select mode is in the way" pause

You didn't need to change them on all of them. There are others that were working that are now throwing errors. But if that didn't work I might have my cases confused. I'm a Windows user so I don't have that issue. I would see how a pack that was working had it.

so basically you can do stuff like load the game with 5 mods and then dump 500 other mods in the mods folder and the game and SMAPI won't see them until you relaunch the game

yea I had a similar worry when I was approaching 100, then next thing I knew, in the blink of an eye, I was up to to 200 with worry... and people would comment about it if they saw my logs...and then I saw someone with almost 500 mods and I let go of the worry! ๐ now I'm at 290 and chillin. the game does lag / stutter now and then, but that's ok with me~

For me, it's more about having to track all the mods, lol. Recently started catching only trash on my farm despite a copy/pasta of my mods folder on another PC working normally. Same for the lag/stutter, happens intermittantly.

Kookiey you can, but you'll need to do extra steps in order to make sure you don't have buildings / items in the void, or not properly lined up.
You'll need to grab Reset Terrain Features and Noclip Mode to set you up.
Then, before you install the new map, you'll need to remove all machines / chests / etc. on your map, you can store them in a chest, preferably inside your farmhouse or barns /coops / sheds.
Then, go to Robin and move any buildings you have as close to the farmhouse as possible.
Then add the new map mod, and you'll spend some time moving everything to a proper place. You can use Reset Terrain Features to reset the bushes, trees, and other debris. Noclip mode will help you reach any things that ended up in the void or like Chronicler said, an invalid tile.
You could also first install the new map and then use noclip/Robin to move stuff then
Nothing will error when things end up on an invalid tile, but you will need noclip to get to them

SVE doesn't touch the farm map, unless you're using its optional farm map

Looks like this is a huge map, with a lot of resources spawning. Moving into spring respawns a lot of the debris on the farm. How long did you wait on the screen? It could have been lagging as it was calculating the spawns ( but yeah a log would be best )

hey all, i'm trying to edit my save file so i can change my shoes. normally i would just bother with cjb item spawner, but since i added a new ja mod, my shoes changed to something else and i can't change it anymore. i've been looking for the item ids of the shoes in the game, a few websites popped up but they don't have the shoe ids. does anyone know where i can find it?

Is the boots you're trying to remove a json assets item, or a vanilla one though? because the JA IDs are dynamically generated and wouldn't be in the list

if you find your save file, there's a folder in there called jsonassets, and there inside there should be something like an id-boots.json file

@grizzled oracle That seems to say you have a null (i.e. blank) quest in your quest log, probably as a result of a mod that adds or handles quests in some way. Stardew is trying to draw your menu, checking your quest log, and hitting an error.
I'm not sure how to narrow it down more than that, but updating your mods might help. If not, try removing mods that add quests or just checking their comments for similar issues.

I think people usually do something with the built-in Virtual Keyboard mod to display the right hotkey, but I haven't done it myself yet

Some mods let you edit key bindings, which are controller/keyboard/mouse buttons which do something in-game. This page explains how to configure them. (This works for any mod using SMAPI's standard APIs.)
changing the hotkey works the same as on desktop, by editing the config.json (or if it has support for another method, using that)

@warm elbow two ways to do it. You can change the tractor mod config to use VolumeUp or VolumeDown to summon. Or like was mentioned you can use VirtualKeyboard to add any on-screen virtual button of your choice, just change one of the VK buttons to be the same as whatever you chose in your tractor config.

@modest cedar as long as you didn't rename any of the folders that SVe came with, it's pretty straightforward. Just download the new 1.10.10 files and extract them to (or extract and then copy them into) the same location where the old ones are. When given the option to overwrite old files, choose yes.

No it doesn't, don't worry :) Spawns and item data for things placed on the map are stored in your savefile, not the mods files 
The mod files only tell the game where things can spawn, etc.

@rancid smelt did you unzip the NPC Map Locations folder? You only need the folder inside it, it should be called "NPCMapLocations" I think

manifest.jsonfile somewhere.) Garden Pot RetextureandYet another dog modseem to have errors in their files. You might need to find new versions of them or just remove them if they don't work right.- Try to update the mods at the top of that log file, which might help with the last error.

Garden Pot Retexture and Yet another dog mod I tried to replace the sprite names in congif.json with their correspondant sprite assets. These are CP friendly. So its not that the mod wouldn't work, because with the Garden Pot Retexture it did before i changed the asset file name because i want the dark instead of light version per example. I figure the roots in the coding. @fair vessel I'll try the content-patcher to check for errors real quick to see if I can't find a solution.

Oh! I see. I use mods like that too. What I did is I renamed the image file itself - changed the light verison to name_light. and then the dark vesion to name.

And with your 4-corners icon missing, I bet it's an old XNB mod lurking in your game folders.

that's probably more likely than my guess, but Garden Variety UI also edits menu tiles, if the issue persists after resetting content files

You might have better luck using a different text editor on the .json files in the future. It looks like the formatting got messed up somehow (\r\n instead of line breaks and such)

EDIT: The same uninstall/reinstall worked for Yet antoher dog mod so it may be my json file viewer that i'm using.
Notepad++ is* the one I prefer to use. Notepad does seem to open them for me, but you might have to select it from Windows' "Open with..." menu manually, it's picky about extensions.

So deleted the Garden Variety UI and thats not what is causing the missing 4 corners icon. oof. I reinstalled my Horse to dragon-pegasi mod and it launched just fine initially and when i changed the config file it THEN gave me an error message saying the file wasn't found even though i entered the correct values and the assets picture is still there.
EDIT: Most of my main problems have resolved. In character creation i am now missing my pet icon but i /think/ i know what might be causing the problem. Testing it now.

I reset my game files, but the icons are still missing. I'm not sure whats causing it at the moment. I may just go in and reinstall them all manually one by one, which will be a pain but would help narrow down the issue.
If it's Garden Variety UI then that mod might need to be updated on order to fix it.

UPDATE: When iw ent in game some of my icons were missing too, like the change appearance button on the fish ponds and when i went to get details on my animals. The tiny side buttons.
I just removed Mouse House. Buttons didn't return. I'll try the list of mods you gave and see which. I know once i finish troubleshooting everything will be golden.

not quite a pure replacement, but you can warp to any shop and have the NPC running that shop warped there too so that you can access the shop menu by using debug warpshop gus except with the npc name of whatever npc runs that shop

When was the last time you played? SVE file structure has changed a lot and you might need to remove that mod completely and reinstall the latest version
If you have a bunch of folders in your /Mods like [SVE] Olivia etc, then you have the old version.

When you install SVE you download a folder, if you unzip it there are a bunch of folders inside. You need to move all of those folders into Mods.

if you run the smapi installer again ( it won't override anything ) it'll show you what your launch options are
copy&paste that entire thing into the steam launch options

It just means there was stuff on the cloud that isn't the exact same as your local machine. If you played for a bit without steam, then your local save file has more progress
You can tell steam if you want to keep your local version or revert to the one saved on the cloud

Watch out when you're downlading mods and be suspicious of any that haven't been updated since 2019 or even earlier. It's good to check the discussion posts to see if people have experienced any issues with the current version of the game.

@dreamy merlin Found your issue with the Dragons/Pegasi. This one was actually an error with the mod, the author had errors in the content file. I think I've fixed it, replace the content.json with this one.

Yeah I noticed while playing in multiplayer that whenever I went to a level that had a coal cart/bag it would be refilled, even if I was visiting the same level on the same day

Hmm, your log might be too big to parse then. I've seen some people have that issue. Would you be able to share the log file here? Someone might be able to parse parts of it then
I think it's possible you didn't install SVE properly somehow? I'll link you the install instructions below. I recommend you delete all the folders related to SVE and follow the install guide, and then try it again

I personally make a backup of the config file, or just rename the existing one, in case the new version of the mod changes the config options, and then set the new file to look like the old one
One option would to stop in the updated version and let it overwrite, but that can occasionally cause problems
So it's best to copy the config and paste it in the new mod

Yes... but you run into the same limitations that SVE has on all existing saves. Need to download Reset Terrain Features mod to fix bushes; NoClip mod also if you're switching your farm map to IF2R; and if your friendship hearts are too high for many vanilla characters you will miss out on a lot of the new content for them.

Sorta? BigCraftables are only 16x32 but you can break up larger pieces into multiple pieces that are 16x32 each and then place them next to each other. You can use normal objects for 16x16 pieces.
It can't do bigger furniture pieces and it can't do wall mounted either.

Yeahhhh I don't think it's ever played nice in MP. I've seen some people report blessed runs without issues for them, but I've never been able to use it except in single player. Although at least I don't crash and burn anymore when I try, so that's definitely better ๐ "now it's just ...quirky"

@limber fjord I've only ever seen it do anything when using the export command in the SMAPI console. It might've worked differently originally, but I don't know. (Type export help in the console for info on the command, if you need it)

I'm occasionally getting some black screens when going down a staircase in the Skull Cavern. I have both the https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2558 and https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/963 I'm wondering if this is caused by mods or a vanilla issue. Using debug commands or cheat mods to teleport the player to another location doesn't seem to work either.
Btw, there's no SMAPI errors of any kind.

but 3.5 and the 2.11 she still has for some reason don't work

I'm not sure why the version you have would say it's 1.8, because the latest version is 3.5. I recommend downloading the latest version of SMAPI, then when you use the correct bat file, select uninstall. Let it do its thing, then run the correct bat file again, and that time choose install

You can add mods that add dialogue to the characters, so they say more things. I'm not sure about schedule mods. I know some mods that add to their dialog also add to their schedules, but not all of them do that. I can send you a list of the dialog mods I use if you'd like

I'm sure it has to be a mod, but smapi doesn't toss any errors. My chicken coop's eggs won't go into the autograbber so automate can turn them into mayo. Very odd.
Same thing for fishing on the farm, returning trash 100% of the time.
The autograbber doesn't work for eggs by default, you need a mod to do that (Deluxe Auto-Grabber https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2462)

In your mods folder there is a VirtualKeyboard folder, inside is a config.json file
Edit the file to change one of the buttons to be whichever button you need for get glam

Ok the log shows a very strange error.
Something in the menu drawing process is actually crashing, so SMAPI is closing the menu to stop the game itself from crashing completely

.hide works. Just expect wonky bushes and debris locations on the vanilla maps

If that doesn't work, try editing the FarmTypeManager config.json to have "MonsterLimitPerLocation": 200 or so
does anyone know why this keeps happening? i included an image because the text im referring doesnt seem to be in here https://smapi.io/log/a232cf133bff4bf99ab883afca40d54c, this happens randomly and when it happens, smapi stops loading in mods and my game never starts. usually i can just shut down the terminal and relaunch, repeat this until it finally works, but id like to figure out why this happens
@fair vessel I'm starting to think it's not a mod..
@limber fjord the default is no limit. Setting to 200 caps it enough for a lot of systems that have trouble. If 200 is still laggy, you can set it lower to 50 or even 10

Cause if smapi is closing the menu to prevent a crash, then in vanilla if the issue is still there the game would crash

Yeah it might be only an issue on the item adding menus
You just need to sleep, get letter from wizard, visit wizard, go look at bundle again

and spawning with the id of sweet canary melon wine just spawns more sweet potato wine..
@shy orbit hey sorry for the ping vibel, i remembered sometime ago, you experienced lagging with automate. did you tweak the config setting or something?
