so if you use portraiture then it would work
cus that penny sprite mod had a png and an xnb file
so you could use CP to load the xnb
The XNB is likely outdated so you'll be missing a few sprites depending on when it was last updated. It's best to extract the XNB and update the png and then use that.

Looks like that mod has an optional file that can enable the option to disable the sprite changes.
But I need to figure out what to use to edit a config file. Is it just notepad++?
i can tell you to download portraiture,, and then have you put the png in a folder to put in portraiture,, and then make a CP conversion for the sprites
But that's why, you know, maybe edit the existing mod?
I've merged and edited tons of mods for my own purposes after not seeing the exact thing I wanted (like new hair for Sam be compatible with SVO)

if you are already using a sprite mod, then you replace the Penny png in either the "true" or "false" folder, depending on what the config.json has
and if they are seasonal, then rename the pngs so that they match

Hi, can anyone help me on how to install OhoDavi anime portrait mod?, i've been messing around with all the files and mod for a couple of hours and still can't get it installed properly, so far it only manage to change a few female character portrait, and not a single male character portrait are changed, i've also download all the character portrait and double check it on the mod folder but it still only change a few female character portrait and not a single male portrait changed, i already installed SMAPI properly and manage to get other mods working, can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

seasonal garden farmhouse V2 is itself compatible with SVE, but farmhouse redone isn't, which means you can't change floors on the extra rooms i believe. it's explained on the description
that greenhouse is compatible with SVE. in general all greenhouses should be? with IF2R there might be issues

sorry, i don't remember the details and i didn't take the log or anything
I don't think there would be a log, I think it's more that they've slipped beneath a tile somehow. I did notice when I put crab pots in that one vanished and only a thin line was visible. I did, however, manage to remove it again.
also they catch freshwater fish. That's actually a limitation of the game and we need to add coding to the smapi component to fix it.
in my case they didn't vanish, though maybe they weren't completely visible
I think it depends on which mods you have, Lemurkat. I have 285 mods and while the game does stutter / lag sometimes, it doesn't crash

An event at the community center, would that be after you complete it? It could also be an announcement they make at the saloon, since they hang out there, and some people could be like "ohh I knew it!" while others are totally shocked

In my mind, it's not that he's ashamed of it, it's that he likes the thrill of it. ||He doesn't care so much for her as what they're doing together.||
If you look at his NPCD, he doesn't actually have romantic feelings towards her. Admittedly, that feature was never used and is possibly obsolete but I like to think it is canon.

I see why if you read it that way, you're not a fan of Lewis lol in my headcanon, it was that he was SUUUPER worried what people would say, because he's, you know, TECHNICALLY a politician, but Marnie is a successful small business owner, and she's sweet, so she's a total catch.

Marlon was pretty much forgotten when the game was released. That's why I think it's obsolete code. They ARE standing together a lot at festivals.

I haven't noticed any inconsistencies in terms of the dialog, but yours is higher in my load order than Haywrites' mod, so I think that means yours is always winning? I had Haywrites' mod before I had installed yours though, so I've seen both of their dialogs
I loaded Haywrites too late in game and Marnie talked about her weight every day for a week.

well, IF2R has more farming space but capitalist dream farm 2 has better quarry (assuming the spawning in the IF2R quarry hasn't changed). IF2R also modifies the bus stop map which can be a problem with other mods that do the same

Maybe? I dunno. Usually Json Assets mods freak out if you remove a mod without first deleting all items the mod added to your game
not usually - it may take a couple extra secs to load the payment screen but nothing extreme
@dire fractal they can, sometimes, yes. Usually a delay at that time from mods has less to do with calculating payment and more to do with serializing new save info

You would have to delete the modded boots from everyone's chests & inventory first, then save the game, then remove the armored boots mod

If it were me, I would try backing up the savefiles and just doing a manual edit to delete anyone's boots who is wearing modded ones, but... editing savefiles is messy and walking through doing that is hard.

My guess, one of the mods might be putting out some weird character(s) in its error log, which smapi webpage for some reason cannot parse

When you update SVE, be extra careful to completely uninstall it first and remove all its folders (including NPC folders). The newer updates completely changed the file system for it.

There are ways to manage multiple sets of mods
One way is to maintain entirely separate mod folders. Have one called Mods-SVE and one called Mods-normal. When you want to play, rename the folder you want to use to just "Mods" and that will be the one that gets used.
@dark mesa I'm not an expert, but you can probably simply remove the SVE folder from your mods folder while playing on the save with your friend, just remember to put the folder back in when you go back to your SVE save, that's what makes sense to me at least, take that with a grain of salt lol

Third option, you can use a mod manager like Vortex to switch between different mod profiles quickly. But it's not the most user friendly and takes a while to get set up with.
In my experience I was able to just move a mod's folder out of the "mods" folder and run things just fine, it's just if you go to sleep and therefore save, that's the only time you're making any permanent changes to a save, so I'd say feel free to experiment just without saving

As long as you only load+save your SVE saves while SVE mod is running, and only load+save non SVE saves without running SVE, everything will stay as it should
Yeah, I was having an issue with crashing every time I slept, so I started removing mods one by one to see what was causing it. SMAPI does a pretty good job of not exploding when you remove mods and play on a save that had them. At the end I just dropped all the mods back in and the save was back to it's normal modded self

So, both RPGish and CJB came from Nexus Mods and are the newest available. But, I am not using them now. And, RPGish never worked with SVE.

XNB files are really hard to implement on android so it's hard to do without knowing, probably that is not a concern 😆

Also are you running the game through SMAPI? Even after getting smapi it's possible to load the game without it. You need to run the smapi exe (or set up steam options to run it) in order for smapi to load with the game.

You can search within your mods folder for something one of them. Example: Red Onion and see where it all comes up. There should only be 2 folders (one in crops and objects).

i downloaded it from ohodavi nexusmod, yes it originally didn't include all of that sprite i screenshoted, i saw a comment on ohodavi modpage say that all the .XNB file ohodavi provided should be converted into .PNG then place the .PNG to CP Folder, not sure if that was correct

im trying to get a sprite/portrait replacer for leah, the lumberjack one specifically, but its only changing the portrait? her sprite still has long hair and pale skin (lumberjack replacer gives her short hair and dark skin)

@vale jungle does the lumberjack mod come with both portraits and sprites? Some mods just change portraits.
If it does come with sprites, it's probably conflicting with another mod that changes them also. Something like Seasonal Villager Outfits for an example
it appears to have them both, and i dont have any outfit mods or anything like that, just mods to replace specific other npcs (not in a pack, i replaced individual xnbs bc they were all from different creators)

I've got a number of crab pots installed at the beach as well as in town and at home. When running Automate it's not possible to remove/pick up any the crab pots already in the water.
The cursor doesn't even change to a hand.

Interestingly enough the ones in town (which have been empty for a while), DO show a cursor but when trying to pick them up it gives me the default "Inventory full" message (even though my inventory is pretty empty).

I think you cant pick them up when theres bait in them. I had the same issue
Okay, so I placed a new one in the pond that's not connected to anything, and I can pick it up.
The empty ones in town say my inventory is full though. Something's off with that.
The issue seems to be a different one.
The (automated) ones at home I can all pick up if I disable the mod.
The un-automated two in town that I just left there ages ago i can't pick up even in vanilla, and I get "Inventory full". Looks like a vanilla issue.
I tried and you can't pick up baited ones in vanilla either

Trying to make the virtual keyboard for the Android version less transparent and more solid. No matter what values I change for the individual keys, SMAPI reverts. edits or recreates the file

you can use the loopup anything mod to see their gift tastes
you can also look at their NPC dispositions in the content.json, but thats harder

@limber fjord I've managed to change the transparency on mine. It's the value for "transparency": on each button which you've probably guessed. Change it to a value between 0.0 and 1.0 (I think bigger numbers are less transparent). And make sure you are saving your changes to the file when you close it.

They probably are scored by the same criteria as anything else, I'd imagine - sell price, star quality, and category

Yes. Highest score is possible when all items are iridium quality, worth at least 200g, and at least 6 different item categories are represented.
Iridium and >200g is best
Gold and >200g = Silver and >300g = Normal and >400g are all tied for points
Tiers below that I don't recall
Maximum possible score is 124 in vanilla, 125 with certain mods. Winning score is only 90.
