Yes and no, depending. If you don't play on those farms with your mods installed, they won't be touched at all. You could even open them and run around with your mods, and they would still be unmodded if you didn't save.

(But mods have no problem affecting existing saves in general, you just sometimes need to do some cleanup if you add mid-game.)

Duplicating the save file would be an option so you have a vinalla and a modded version

Hey guys a got a question. I start to translate a few files and would just know how this impact the boxes from chat/letters. Here an example: If the normal eng version froma text pass exact into a letter and the translation is longer now, will they autosplit it into 2 pages from a letter or how it works?

Ok, ty, was jsut searching up the forum thread on nexus about it and figured my question was answered there though it seems there are some bugs with loading into the new areas lol
The biggest things to be aware of on Multiplayer with SVE are:
DON'T let farmhands marry new NPCs or game will crash!
Farmhands can't see new NPCs at festivals or on NPC map locations mod
Farmhands don't get friendship points for talking to new NPCs
That's interesting, moving to CP didn't fix the farmhands at festivals thing? Doesn't seem like a TMXL specific thing, then... I was wondering about that but was not able to test it

I found a mod that uses json. It doesn't work with content patcher and there is very little information about it. None of how to make it work. People seem to be using it though, but I haven't figured out how.

if the mod doesn't put them as requirement, they shouldn't be mandatory
Garden Village will work without the other content packs, but to really appreciate it, I recommend you install one or more of the
following:
(And generally speaking, SMAPI mods can check things like "if this mod exists, sell its mod items, otherwise don't")
but the mod will probably be more interesting with some content packs

This Folder u extract in mods folder
The .7z file you download from the forum contains a folder called BetterPigs with files in it. You should put it in Stardew Valley/Mods so that it looks like Stardew Valley/Mods/Better Pigs
It's just a .7z no .zip
(better to not ping specific people unless they asked you to do it, and ask questions here)
.7z are like zip files, they need to be extracted with WinRAR or 7zip
(or probably other unzip programs)

- Install SMAPI - https://smapi.io/ or from NexusMods
- Download NPC Adventures - https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4582
- Unzip NPC Adventures into
Stardew Valley/Mods - Run the game with SMAPI
- Right-click on your spouse/friends to have them join you

U downloaded the betterpigs.7z, u can now open this, into this there is an Folder BetterPigs this folder can u extact and than copy it into your Stardew Valley Mod Folder

Then you can go into the 7zip section and choose how to extract it.

@flat summit you need to install json assets and clear the old SVE installation folders (all sve npc folders, old custom music)
also remove spacecore and winter grass folders and reinstall those
there is also "SVE Spouse Rooms and Festival Spots 1.9.3"
that should be removed as well
i suggest reading this: https://github.com/FlashShifter/StardewValleyExpanded/wiki/Install-guide it might be best to remove all of sve installations and reinstall it, so that you can be sure that there are no leftovers from the old version (the mod structure changed a lot between those versions)

Smapi is different from other mods. It's like the mega mod. So it doesn't go inside the mod folder, because it is the mod folder.

So I installed Minerva's Harder CommunityCenter bundle on a mac, as well as a windows computer. This mod uses .Json files. For some reason on the mac it tells me that I am missing a mod labeled "MoreFish ppja from artisanvalley" while my windows computer does not display this error, nor does it direct me to get "morefish"
Anyone got any clues?

i think you do need to install more new fish for the ppja bundle to work tho
unless ur not gonna use the ppja option, in which case u can prob just ignore it

and they're like "I played everything this is now boring I need mods"
the mac complains because it has the forage pack
and the forage pack requires more new fish and artisan valley
What does the forage pack do specifically? anything note worthy?
spawns forage around the map, it's meant for the ppja version of the bundles
I have the PPJA forage [FTM] folder on both machines.
then it should complain about the missing dependencies too, unless you have them
in any case you can just remove it if you don't use the ppja version of the bundles

Ah. Pet Spawn Location. It doesn't let you set a location, it just fixes overlap when there's more than one pet
Adopt n Skin also has options to set a radius for having multiple pets spawn spread out, but I think it works differently
alright, that adopt'n'skin feature could be useful. the default spawn location is too small on my current farm
or well, there are some tight pathways near it that i use and the pets block them too easily (though thankfully you can push them around)

this isn't a "problem" with a mod exactly, but i'm playing w the korea blossom mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6064 (very nice, btw!) and have noticed a bug where when pierre tries to sell my shipped produce (in this case, the korean forsythia) it shows up in pierre's shop as an Apple n' Cheese Handpie from this recipe mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5203 dunno if it's a thing with overlapping index numbers or what
it doesn't affect the overall gameplay, just a weird thing i noticed
did you install or uninstall any JA mods? it seems like a possible explanation, at least if it happened when you had already harvested the plant, maybe even if you didn't yet harvest it but it was planted, don't know
i think i did probably install a few JA mods after i'd planted the flowers? i'm not a modder so i don't really know what goes on "under the hood" in stardew, haha. my best guess is that both those items share an index number, and for whatever reason pierre's shop pulled the wrong one?

i'm trying to take a screenshot but for additional details, the tooltip for the "handpie" in the shop lists the info for the forsythia– the flower category, the "-12 energy"– and prices it as though it is a forsythia, but when i buy it and it's in my inventory it acts like a normal handpie and i can eat it for energy gains
oh, except i can't sell it for what a normal handpie would sell for. it sells for forsythia price.
installing and uninstalling JA packs makes stuff like that happen
i believe it has something to do with JA re-setting the item ids when new items are added or removed, but i don't know much about that. anyway existing items can change in some circumstances and for example chest categorizations get messed up
I tried storing some of mine in a subfolder and ended up with neanderthal ribs jelly. It sold for a decent amount of money though so no complaints!

It's CuddleExplosionRadius in the config. Run the game once after installing the mod if you don't see a config file yet.

It's okay. Easy to confuse. The trick is that it only replaces one version at a time. It "adds" new outfits, but really all it does is ask the game "what season is it?" "Indoors or out?" "OK just use this one."
So it's never providing the game with multiple Haley outfits at one time, for example.
But every player does need it in MP and sometimes MP messes up. Don’t know why, can’t fix it. Doesn’t seem to happen to everyone which makes it a harder issue to bring up.

Hello, so im fairly new to the game. Me and my friends were playing with the StardewValley Expanded mod and were running into some common issues that I've seen online but havent gotten an defenitive answer how to fix it. The main issues is some of the modded npcs dont appear on the map and some are invisible during events. If you know how to fix it and could tell me how I would appreciate it! Thank you!!

Hey, i've just installed SDVMM2 and Expanded and immersive farms2. But SDVMM2 is saying 'JSON unexpected CHAR' for each of the mod folders for SVE and immersive farms 2
Any help?
@fresh inlet Okay it turns out my old files can load but like the newest one I started with the expansion is not loading
If you recently updated SVE from a old version, you have to delete the old file folders as they updated the file structure. The duplicates with cause SVE to fail to load

i don't know why but i always feel suspicious of mods that have low endorsements
I personally find endorsements in the hundreds pretty good for beginner mod authors. I personally never endorsed anything even if I really liked the mod, because it was so much effort to go back and do so, so I feel quite pleased when someone actually takes the time to endorse my mods
I've endorsed mabye a dozen mods at most but I've downloaded over 300
The endorsement rate seems to be around 2-4% of unique downloaders for most mods.
@fickle plaza SVE used to use Karmylla's maps and those maps included Willy's apartment

Dangiiiit, I saw a screenshot of Gwen's SVE vineyard in chat the other day and thought it was a new mod in general or new option (I could not imagine the masochism of adding more options but y'know), but didn't realize it was specifically a retexture only of SVE's assets
I liked the coloring a bit more than eemie's medieval style, but I end up using Gwen's for most buildings because of the million options

i like adding variants but the issue is that it never ends
you have your own variants, then the season variants then the game variant (coop, big coop, deluxe coop) then whatever
and one idea of variant require 25 files
and 3 new config options and 85 new lines in your content.json

I think mapping can be a little hard to get into for people at first, maybe because more aspects of it are new to people than basic image editing, but ends up being easier in general once you get the hang of it because you don't have to actually sprite the things as well 😅

I'm guessing the i actually comes from the code itself, i is often the name used for a counter in loops, and at some point for whatever reason, that counter was higher than the number of available options

I absolutely love this mod, bless you, creator! One thing I noticed however is that, I have it so I lose no items but do lose money when I die, and it still acts like I lost items in the popup etc, as mentioned in the mod description... But then I can also go and use the Item Recovery Service to have that guy give me duplicates of the stuff I supposedly lost... Which I admit I have taken advantage of a few times, hahah. Unsure if bug or feature!
Looks like the mod works by simply adding back copies of the items you lost

if u get a low memory message with 8gb ram, maybe u can have a ram failure anywhere. Game flickering isnt a good sign for this

Very strange. I wonder if this is at all related to the graphics display problem someone had with SMAPI in here a few days ago. It was due to a bug with draw loops that broke when a window got resized. Pathos found the bug (in the game code itself) and sent them a custom build to use.

Hey @halcyon forge, if you're around could you send that modified StardewValley.exe on to @analog jolt? She's got a weird graphics problem with SMAPI too and long shot, but we're wondering if Pathos' fix for yours might possibly also solve her problem.

Given that it changes game mechanics, including with harmony patches which edits the game code itself, i wouldn't risk it

And debug season summer etc to change season
You might need to sleep at least once for new day effects to take place though
