So the layer of the bush that's all the way on the left hand side overlaps the apple tree there. I'm also noticing that some of my other trees around the map, including the apricot tree on his row and some of my wild trees on my farm, have a weird bare square around the base. Is there a way I can fix that? Or do I just have to live with it? I'm using Wren's Expanded Greenhouse mod.

The tops of those plants are on the AboveFront layer, meaning they will appear over top of everything, even trees

if you have lots of machines with animations going on on the farm moving those inside buildings might help. i've also noticed that large amounts of grass on the screen can cause lag, but not sure about that

i have a very dumb question aboit android smapi - the one i got from github demands older game version so fresh mods stopped working. and github page has discussion that authour stopped to update smapi there. may be someone knows where to get fresh smapi and how to swap them on my phone without need to reinstall all mods again (i dont mind doing that tho if that will eventially all work again

Is there a way to set priorities for CP mods. Specifically, I want this mod "[CP] Gwen's Medieval Craftables" to take priority over "[CP] Seasonal Japanese Buildings". They both change some of the same craftables and vanity items.

it's probably just that vortex doesn't remove those directories (just empties them seemingly) that don't exist in the current sve version. the npc adventures error is a separate issue
sve changed its structure and those npcs aren't separate mods anymore but npc adventures still has the mods as dependencies
(but i agree, it's safer to uninstall and install sve manually)

but for games that you need a mod loader
vortex is worthless
even in games that has official mod support usually there is a mod downloader that is better than Vortex anyway like MO2
Hello, one year ago I saw a mod that enabled you to complete bundles through inventory without having to travel to the community center manualy but I cant find it anymore. Does anyone know what it is called and where can I download it?

Are better beach forage and quarry redux compatible with SDVE?
Cause doesn't SDVE "buff" the forage after year 2?
question guys... i've been playing modded starting a while ago and ever since then the steam overlay doesn't work, screenshots don't and i'm pretty sure achievements don't work either... any idea what i can do to restore some of the steam functionality? this is true both in vanilla stardew and SMAPI no matter which i launch it from
IIRC SMAPI doesn't let you use steam overlay

@tall vale quarry redux's unofficial update/sequel works just fine with SVE, not sure about beach forage, however, as (if I remember correctly) it changes the beach map? , which if so renders it incompatible, while redux just alters spawn rates, but it's unaffected by the spawn rates of forage because the rocks aren't forage.

Search for: //Adds snow onto basic craftable fences
in the line with: "When": { "SeasonalEdits": true },
Change it to: "When": { "SeasonalEdits": true, "Season": "winter" },
this version? its the only one ive downloaded and im still running into that error. i deleted all the folders
the problem is that wood fence didn't had the "winter" tag in it, so it would have snow all season (I assume)
hardwood fence was fine that's why I never noticed the bug

@brisk hornet You should be able to type something like debug warp farm in SMAPI's console to teleport home, if you prefer. Dunno how to fix the problem itself, though.

Hello.. I use a note 9 and I'm trying to get SMAPI updated because of some of the mods I want to use (Capitalist dream farm 2 and/or SVE) however since I had to use the 3.5 installer from the Play Store, my phone is nearly unresponsive when I'm trying to move my farmer anywhere, but the menu button works fine. I also ran the mod game without any mods with a fresh save file and it's the same thing, unresponsive player but responsive menus. S-pen doesn't work, either. Any ideas?

i wanted to use the SailorMoon mod and there were some Multiplayer issues with GG!
I am using this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/552?tab=description to make the child look like SVE spouses because I don't know if Child to NPC does that, or I am blind and couldn't see it in the description.
But to use Child Age Up I need to use Child to NPC, now I don't know if that mod and Child to NPC are compatible, or if I can use Age Up with that mod isntead of Child to NPC.

@oblique wing I was using a bunch.. content patcher, automate, farm type manager, better quarry redux, skip fishing minigame.. then I installed stardew valley expanded, and all of its components. That created some serious lag.

webelos SVE is known to cause lag on mobile
@oblique wing so I got rid of SVE and its components, then I started getting errors of SMAPI removing content to keep the game from crashing. So I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the game and SMAPI from the play store and that's when I got the unresponsiveness

you should see a monsterlimitperlocation option
set the value to 0
instead of null
it won't completely get rid of lag but it should reduce some lag

However, the current issue isn't lag, it's "I'm smashing the shit out of my screen to get a response" .. I'll downgrade the SMAPI version and see if that helps anything
Child to NPC uses Custom NPC Fixes, SVE also have Custom NPC Fixes when you download it, now which one you should use? Because one overwrite the other.

Hey all! I am having an issue which lead to me finding this discord! I am having my game freeze and throw a butt-ton of errors when I walk onto the beach for the night market. I looked through the logs and I didn't see any mod name listed specifically and I am not sure what to do, besides just not go to the night market. Any help would be awesome!

Hey guys, having an issue updating to latest ppja packs - when I update my stored chest items all change to different ones - seems like an issue with ids? I haven't changed any other mods and I've got no errors in my smapi console, but I can post a log if that helps? Any ideas?
Try running the game without any mods that add item besides PPJA
will that cause any troubles with my save after re-adding the mods? one that i've got that does that is Line sprinklers

For Immersive Farm 2 Remastered, whenever I go into the deep cave and leave, I end up warping to a random location where I'm unable to move or see my character. Also for the Greenhouse, on my farm I have the tiles for the Greenhouse and I can enter but once I enter the interior farm is shifted to the top left and once I leave I spawn on top of a pond where I am unable to move. What can I do to fix this?

@quiet lynx I've found the issue and fixed it - it turns out JA Lucky Clover isn't compatible with the PPJA packs - removing lucky clover fixed the id issues! now to try and work out how to make it compatible...
Is there any way or command to use that allows you to locate something on the map? Like a fruit that spawned god knows where.

Often times if there isn't a compatibility patch with SVE it's intentional because SVE changes A LOT to the point where most mod authors have to maintain two very different versions.

That is the usual issue on certain Macs with loading certain XML files. There's a fix for it, but I don't recall whether it's for players to install something or if one of the frameworks is going to be updated

Yeah, it's the compression used in base64 that requires a library that isn't bundled sometimes. I thought SMAPI was going to bundle it, but maybe it won't be until 3.6

the "weird stump" is actually part of the canon game. Mine removes it but it looks like the two patches overlap.
if mine loaded second I think it would probably look ok
they load alphabetically.... SEe what happens if you change the name "East Scarpe" on the main folder to "Z-East Scarpe " and see what that looks like. If that works better, I'll see if I can do a dependency or soething to make mine load second

okay, it's weird because SEcuts replaces the entire map, so I'm not sure why my entranceway even loads at all. My patch ends just below the fence line, so it's very easy to fix it.I hvean't figured out dependencies yet to make mine always load last but I'll attach the remastered CP file here and you can try it out if you like.
replace the CP file inside the main one. It should automatically detect if you have shortcuts installed.
you may still need to make it load after the other one though

Issues installing SVE, I have followed the instructions but lots of red errors coming up in the SMAPI console
Failed loading asset 'Objects/Aged Blue Moon Wine/object.png' from SMAPI/flashshifter.ja.sve: couldn't find libgdiplus, which is needed to load mod images. Make sure Mono is installed and you're running the game through the normal launcher.

@shy orbit That seems to have fixed it. Might be worth adding that to the instructions. You need brew installed (https://brew.sh/) then you need to run brew install mono-libgdiplus

It's an error with a map and I know SVE was crashing with Farmhouse Redone so it might be linked to that one. Hiw did you change your farm map? What mod was it? Or is it a xnb?

I think what will happen is crops etc will stay where they were but the old map will be restored under them so you may find they are a mess.

Interestingly my partner does not have this problem. We play multiplayer together, and install the same stuff of course, but for them there are no errors in the log and the config doesn't get wiped...
It just creates that one line config again.

Ok, so that was the tip I needed. The whole "ConfigSchema". I found out that it's in the other json file and looked. We're using an alternative (but still officially linked in the install guide) content.json that allows you to use a seasonal greenhouse override with SVE. For some reason my file was different from my partner's although we downloaded it from the same page. Copied their file over and now it works. I'm not sure how that happened, but hey, it does what it says on the tin now.
Thanks a lot! Would've taken me longer to pick up on what went wrong. We've done that several times (need to every time IF2R updates) and never had a problem with this before.

Something like, picking a few set of clothing for specific events/weather/season and it switching automatically, kinda like the Sims, I guess.

So all that’s needed for SFX is just change ambient flag to true? I looked in the comments and saw some people complaining they couldn’t get it to work for sfx as opposed to music tracks
