ok so I've isolated the error to somethin SVE related. I'll try deleting just parts of it like the custom music to see if it's that (pleeease let it be just the music, I don't want to delete the npcs

I don't know, but since it removes generic response dialogue and redirects it to a per NPC key, any custom NPC has to have that key for certain things to work with them, so I was just mentioning in case it ended up being related since it's easy to temporarily disable

@open peak Weird. It really looks more like a map merge, but I guess I'm just skimming over anything that seems even editing it. Could you try a couple things -
1. Temporarily rename your Mods folder to anything but mods, load the save, see if the coop is present and accounted for. (It would be weird if it was still broken in this case because I'm not sure how that could happen, but you never know...) Assuming it is fixed...
2. Put the Mods folder back to how it was, but temporarily rename the PyTK folder to ..PyTK and see if coop is still broken.
3. If still broken, rename Content Patcher folder to ..Content Patcher
4. if still broken, post new log?
(it will progressively disable a lot of stuff at once, so your pretty farm and stuff will be gone by the end, but we're not saving and once re-enabled it will all be back)

Follow-up question regarding Stardew Symphony Remastered (finally got it working, sort of) - I can't seem to get the title music to work correctly. I found Title under menus but it doesn't seem to work when I first load up the game, and sometimes it just starts playing randomly? Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?
Correction - I think it specifically plays whenever I open any menu in the game, lol.

You could try it, or just make your own - FTM comes with a configurator thing in its download that makes it a lot easier to set up

I installed this mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3000) to be able to plant things on the grass parts of the farm but while I can tille the grass part, I can't the border between the grass and regular soil, is there a configuration I need to do to make it work?

I have a very interesting bug with my game, whenever I go to bed to sleep, the screen does dark but it doesn't go to the next day, I can still move and it only moves on when I walk out of the house.

It didn't start happening until year 1, end of summer, which is weird since everything worked perfectly fine prior to that.
(Are you sure you aren't using any XNB mods?)
I wonder if the game loads the debris "under the snow" ahead of time, because I have 2 squares that I can't tille them unless I enable the "tille everything even inside your house" part of the mod, because even with the Normal, Grass and Stone option enabled I couldn't tille it.
I don't know your history of mods but maybe do a reset and RTF

I did uninstall half of the mods that weren't part or related to stardew valley extended and it worked fine, I thought I was going to be sitting here and just adding mods 1 by 1 again and just brute forcing it.
(that's the goal strobe :P i could change it but i never do)
so you installed some stuff that went into the content folder?
you'll want to reset your game files to fix that, it will get rid of any of the other mods that weren't showing up in your log but there are usually unofficial updates of old xnb replacers

I'll try running the game without the bathroom upgrade mod and see if that fixes it and just update content patcher regardless, regarding XNB mods, as far as I'm concerned I don't think I have any but how do I properly check?

CF handles a lot of fiddly bits specific to furniture that CP doesn't have code for, from what I saw.

Yah. I have been going through making compatible versions of mods I like, but that replace things I want to keep or compete with each other.
Can't do all of them without getting into the C#, but a remarkable number of them can be made compatible with the various compatibility layer mods.
Since it is mostly just changes in file structure, I am planning to let each creator know and offer them the more-accessible version, but if nothing else, it makes my game nice. 🙂

so, after removing that npc and smapi doing some cleanup, there are still some entries in the savefile relating to that npc, such as friendship points. should those be removed manually or are they safe to keep there?

Whenever I enter the sewers with him. I'm trying to get it compatible with the anthro mod, CP says both try to load at once, so I swapped the anthro sprites into the marriage mod and disabled Krobus in the anthro mod.
The only problem is now it does this.

Wife and I played previously with SVE and IF2R multiplayer, but now we can't do it, no matter how many cabins we select, it doesn't build the cabins and I can't join her game.
I believe previously it put my cabin just to the west of the river bridge

I don't think anyone can really answer that for you - I think it's easier to just install mods manually than use a manager, personally, since it's just drag and drop into the Mods folder and it's simple to disable them or even use multiple mods folders. Some people just like managers, so if that's you, I guess it might be worth it to you :P You should probably be familiar with the basics of manual modding before switching entirely to manager so that if something oopses somewhere it's easy to fix. There's also ModDrop as an alternative.
@restive zodiac sorry to ping you, but i think you might be a good person to ask. i removed an npc mod (the popuri one) and there are still some entries in the savefile relating to the npc such as friendship points. do you know if those should be removed manually or can they just stay there?
It should be fine to just stay there. SMAPI strips out the stuff that would crash the game.

How many mods are you running?
Stardew Valley is fairly low resource consuming, and 3 mods should barely make a dent. It could be something in your power usage settings or other tasks running in the background
What's crazy is that the only programs I have running are Stardew, Terminal, and Steam

I was wondering about the update because while the NPCs at festivals thing is a known issue, I thought that SVE switched how it assigned them to festivals specifically to address that, so it would be interesting if it was still happening with everything up to date and correctly installed :)

So today I updated Smapi and started a new farm to play with a couple friends, but as soon as I walked into Pierre's the game crashed. I removed all my mods and tried to run the game and it worked fine then, but when I added Stardew expanded and the mods required for that to run the game crashed at Pierre's again. I haven't had this kind of issue until Smapi updated. I'm not super experienced with mods so I'm not sure how to fix this, but I do have the crash log. @restive zodiac I unzipped them and the game opens running 9 mods but none of them seem to appear when in-game
None of the mods you have installed do anything on their own, though. They're frameworks for other mods to add content to, or do some other not-immediately visible thing (winter grass makes grass persist in the winter, console commands lets you type debug commands into the SMAPI console, save backup backs up saves, etc).
@tired elk You need to update PyTK (and should update the other two frameworks while you are at it)

Hi, I'm having some trouble getting a ContentPatcher mod working.
I have it installed along with SMAPI and ContentPatcher, and it seems to load this CP when I load up the game
That mods was made pre 1.4, so it will only replace the original dog breed. Is that the one you selected?
But when I make a new character it still shows me the three default dogs at character creation, and in-game, it still uses one of the defaults.

You can also edit the pack's content.json to target Dog1 instead of Dog, though! (Or target all three, for that matter)
Like instead of "Target": "Animals/dog" it would be "Target": "Animals/dog, Animals/dog1, Animals/dog2". (Or target them separately with the different versions instead of the config, I suppose... or just use Adopt n Skin 😄 )
The actual npc is stored later on, so there's a place for your preference and a place for "animal that is saved at farm", but yeah changing target is usually simpler than save editing !

What are some good mods for stardew valley that make it still seem vanilla?
@dire fractal UI info suite won't make it feel like u're cheating but it'll give u more info on (for example) relationships, who's birthday it is, and if a queen of sauce episode is running
I personally really like artisan valley, more fish, new recipes, adopt n skin, farmer to florist, they just like add new items and crafting and stuff
@dire fractal mods like seasonal outfits, part of the community, extra dialog mod, winter grass etc. make incredibly little, mainly cosmetic changes that enhance the overall immersiveness of the game without ruining the simple feel of it
ui info suite is an essential, it gives you lots of options to turn things on and off if you feel like you are cheating but even with everything turned on it doesnt feel like your cheating at all, and lots of the things feel like they shouldve been there in the first place, such as an accurate XP/Heart tracker
and if u are desperate for more items, stuff such as the previously recommended artisan valley and farmer to florist definitely changes the game a lot whilst not feeling as if you are overloaded with new, un-stardew-esque content :))
if u're not happy with the cellar you can use jen's cozy cellar but the casks may be out of place and u'll have to use a pickaxe to replace them (idk if this falls out of the category of vanilla-like)

somehow my smapi didn't show error but after I update SVE, my old save that have marry(lol) korbus become very slow (after there is cutscene event abandoned vineyard), didn't respond my cursor and command very well, and crashed

I have a request for a big fix for spacechase0 but there’s no bug form on their website, do any of you know how I can contact them?
Specifically the magic mod does not work with SVE due to the different wizard house, and the farmer gets stuck perpetually walking into a wall during the cutscene. This cannot be skipped and you have to force quite and restart the game to play again. I love both mods but I’m sad I can’t use these two wonderful mods together.

In SVE, I found this slab directing me to a forest area, does anybody know where to go after there?
In the forest it says to "follow the mushrooms" but as far as I can tell all the ways are blocked.

Hello, a friend of mine plays SDV smapi on android and had SVE and its dependencies along with some other mods. However, whenever she goes to the mountains, there's no tiles (like it's an void background) and cant get out of it unless she uses her scepter (no game crash after this), there's no smapi error too. What's causing it?

@sand zodiac Hi! I experimentally updated Teh's Fishing Overhaul, but there were some significant bugs and I didn't want to support it, so I never released it. I'm away from my main dev computer since I'm sick so I can't create a build for you, but I think a few people around here have a copy of it.

Im using automade mod, Its happened twice now, I was making crystal fruit jelly with like 20+ picklejars and a chest connected to them, the jelly was made but it disappeared? Its not in the chest???

I mean when i place a fruit in the chest the jars take them
But no jelly is coming to the chest
its just disappearing

And suddenly the jellies started disappearing
0 get into the chest but the processing happens
