This doesn't crash the game, but the code goes nuts and I think it has something to do with UI Info suite, can someone more knowledgeable than me please take a look?

These are all the folders for SVE
There's a config.json file located in the (Stardew Valley Expanded) folder. That's where you need to go to toggle mature events
Since you're on the topic of SVE, I'm in Summer right now and when I press M, the map is showing npc locations but not the actual map itself. Any idea why?
Probably another mod is trying to edit the map

Yeah, getting them in the folder your Steam is actually pointed to should do it! The game has no DRM so it's simple to copy and paste it everywhere for convenience or backup, so it's easy to accidentally have multiple 😄
Haha, it's definitely a good starting point! I got it to work, my farm is now the Remastered version, but when I left (south) out of my farm to go see if Marnie's changed, my screen went black and nothing has changed. Been a few minutes now
perhaps a restart will boot it through

hey guys, I just downloaded the new update for Stardew Valley Remastered and the Expanded Farm, I uninstalled the older ones like it says to do and installed the new ones, when I opened my game none of the new NPCs or their locations are there anymore, and I don't know how to fix it! 😦

You do still have several leftover SVE files that you need to get rid of - all the individual NPC folders, and some other parts like Mods\[CP] Stardew Valley Expanded (1.9.6)
There's also some issues with the farm - it looks like you downloaded a few different versions. The original IF2 (Mods\[CP] Immersive Farm 2) is not compatible anymore, so you can remove that one. You can remove Mods\[TMX] IF2 Red Shed and Mods\[FTM] Immersive Farm 2 Forage+Ore) because they goes with the IF2 unofficial update mod (not the Immersive Farm 2 Remastered for SVE)
(It's a little confusing, but basically very long ago now there was a farm called Immersive Farm 2 that was pretty popular but broke in a game update awhile back. It was actually a very simple fix, and a modder uploaded that fixed version as an unofficial update to the nexus (IF2 Fix). Later on, Flashshifter did his own edit of the map, changing layout and fixing up stuff to be more how he wanted it, and released that next to SVE as a "remastered" version. You shouldn't use more than one version at a time, they're different maps.)
Since SVE is a big mod is "normal" to it cause stutter once in a while? Because it wasn't happening in the 200 hours I played vanilla.
i removed what you mentioned except I couldnt find [CP] Stardew Valley Expanded (1.9.6), I launched the game and got the error "Invalid content was removed to prevent a crash", NPCs are still not in the game nor are their locations, and the map is now buggy 😭
Hmm, it's hard to say what's normal, really - people do report performance issues with it in previous versions, but not everyone and not necessarily everyone without a "good computer" or anything. If you had no problems in previous versions, you might report it to Flash with log info and stuff just as general usage feedback. It's hard to look into, though.
Can you post a new log, Waltzon? The Immersive Farm 2 Remastered mod should have stayed, only the folder names I mentioned

(The error about missing NPCs is okay - it's because you removed the old NPCs but the new ones can't load yet because of errors.)

It's my first time using it so I don't know about older version, it doesn't happen all the time so it's not that bad, I assume that combinations of mods might cause something like that.
Also, does SMAPI tells youf if there is a mod that isn't compatible with another you're using or causing conflict?
It depends on the type of conflict. It will give an error if two or more mods try to load the same asset, and some kinds of conflicts can cause obvious errors but won't necessarily show obvious sources, if that makes any sense. (Like a mod might overwrite a warp that an NPC relied on and cause errors, but you'd still need to look through the log and figure out the cause of the error, then the most likely culprit, etc.)
(Meanwhile, if a mod completely overwrites an asset without trying to Load it, things may silently conflict in various places and never throw an error because it's technically working as intended)

I'm actually have the same problem as you, Waltzon! I downloaded SVE, and all the mods it relies on, but it never came with the [CP] file that the Troubleshooting mentions

Hi guys, I'm trying to get Stardew Expanded working on my tech-illiterate friend's mac, but she is worried about not being able to access her other save file (which is modded, but with only a few cosmetic mods). I know you could switch out the mod folder whenever you play different files, but is there an easier way to do this, like profiles that could be picked by a menu or a desktop shortcut?

it's ok! I have the issue of over 200 mods as well, things go wrong a lot. Plus, as someone who has successfully made a mod, I understand how logs work for the most part, but this leaves me baffled

Is there a mod to prevent you from picking flowers or something like that? Trying to make a beehive layout on my planner but I am failing at it because I want to make one that doesn't use too much space and prevent from accidentally pick the flower
no, but you could do what I do: use automate and place a chest connected to all the beehives
then, once the flowers are full grown, ignore it. Automate pulls the honey from the hives directly to the chest

Can't say I've tried SVE myself, but I have been trying out a few non-cheat mods on android and noticed a lot don't work or don't work too well.
There is an old list of android compatible mods but it's a year old.
There are people that used the last version of SVE on Android, but I'm not sure what the news is on the latest update. I guess it still works, since it still relies on all the same frameworks.
(Might have performance issues, hard to predict.)

If you just want to re-trigger them (like for choosing different options), you can replay them with a debug command pretty easily. debug ebi eventIDhere. If you want to forget it because other things are depending on it, there's a mod called Event Repeater which adds commands for forgetting events.

Hi, I'm a newbie ! The SVE reddit suggested I post my weird error here to try and get some help. Every time I try to go to the other part of the SVE farm cave (the deepcave?) my game stops on the loading screen and just hangs there with a weird SMAPI error.
I've already checked my game file integrity, reinstalled/updated the whole game and all my mods, and tried it with only the SVE mods installed. Here's my (all other mods uninstalled) log:

The C: part of the error is not for your computer but where it was compiled, so that part's okay. I'm not used to seeing an SVE install with so few folders yet, hehe.

There's really a lot going on in your log with a ton of mods and a lot of different errors from different things, I don't really know where to start with that except removing some mods until it works (or removing all mods and adding back in a framework +packs and then another framework + packs etc) (@ Martin)

@zenith ermine I was thinking too hard - you don't have IF2R installed correctly - it comes with three packs, and you only have one. One of the ones you are missing adds the custom location, so you are trying to warp to a place that doesn't exist.
and while I'm at it... uh... some JA crops aren't getting along for some reason. When I go into a greenhouse I added via mods, the crops are either Juniper Berries, Mint, and Elderberries.... or Fennel and Kiwi and something else I forget. It changes

it gets overwritten when you relaunch the game, so at least make sure to check before doing that

I guess both automate and SVE was causing my game’s slowdown. I did have a huge machine in my large shed with several different types of machines.
i think the new SVE might be more resource intensive than the older one, at least i have more stutters with it than i had before and i don't have too different mod setup than before
It didn’t bring enough to the game to warrant that type of slowdown. But automate was bogging my game down a bunch too.
you can adjust the automate interval in automate config.json, maybe that would help

@lofty spruce what you would have to do is take the portraits and sprites of leah, and place them in SVO.
That seems to be around how much the game stutters.

I’d like to make the interval as wide apart as possible I guess to ease on the slowdown
afaik making it longer will only make automation process slower by that amount at max, so specifying longer intervals shouldn't be a big problem

svo is the mod
dark haired leah is a mod. you will have to copy the dark haired leah portraits and sprites, and paste them into the svo leah folder.
you will have to do this 4 times, each time renaming them to say {season}_leah
(Seasonal Outfits comes with a lot of sprites/portraits per character, so it's a lot of image editing/frankenspriting to adapt them to a different set. )
(You'd lose all the benefits of SVO by just copying identical sprites/portraits several times for season and festival and indoor outdoor maternity and on and on. It's probably the easiest option if you just want a single NPC to look this way and don't care that it never changes like the rest of the NPCs do, though.)

if you want them to change, you would have to manually edit her seasonal portraits and sprites to have dark hair
@ashen elbow , that's a really kind offer to help the mods work together. If a dark-haired Leah would mean her outfits never change, though, I'd probably just stick with the seasonal attire mod, since it's pretty awesome. Not sure if it's possible to have a Leah with dark hair and seasonal outfits, haha. I'm playing the game vanilla aside from appearance mods like the dog and horse breed ones.

hmm. i put automate interval to 3600 and disabled a portion of a music pack that affects mines (i noticed that the stuttering was worst there for some reason), and now practically all the stuttering seems to be gone. could be a coincidence of course
I think that's what cheese was offering to do (a lot of work) since it wouldn't take any image editing to just have static unchanging dark haired sprites
@ashen elbow , were you offering to edit the mods so that they work together? I don't understanding modding yet, but from what Mouse said, that would be a time-consuming and challenging task!

I'm trying to get the log parser to parse my log file, but it hangs and I get the error message:

should I try to cut some of the error messages since it seems to repeat to shorten the file, or is the site itself down?

(It doesn't have to load an XNB to be outdated, and an XNB used in a CP or SMAPI mod can be up to date, just to clarify. You can even EditImage from an XNB. It's just a file format.)

Would you guys say the canon-friendly dialogue expansion mod detracts from the vanilla experience? I used it for a bit and loved the in-depth lines but then felt like I’d never know which lines and cut scenes are by the creator.
Before, I asked if there was a mod that would pause time in multiplayer if all players were in pause time events like cutscenes or the fishing minigame. (Also still in the market for that or one that slows time if we're all in the Skull Caverns).
But since we weren't able to find one is there a mod that allows me to pause time manually without pausing the game? Just to be able to finish cutscenes without passing out, etc. I saw DangerouslyFunny be able to walk around and ish during pause time and I was hoping that would allow mulitplayers to pause the day/night cycle without actually pausing the game.
CJB cheats can manually do that, and it can auto pause indoors/in caves too--only the host can do it though
it works for all players but the host still has to be the one to pause, and farmhands will see the clock go to the end of the hour and then back and repeat
so if you paused it at 1 am farmhands would see it hit 2 then immediately go back to 1
I usually stay far away from cheats, but I might get it just so it can give me and squad the ability to actually relax and enjoy cutscenes without skipping them just so we don't passout/waste our whole day.

my mp game mostly uses it so we can pause time when people want to dress up for spirits eve or change outfits lol

Samundra, the IF2 greenhouse gets erased automatically, but maybe you mean when another mod is overwriting that? You'd out a dependency on the other mod in the IF2 manifest in that case, so that IF2 goes last

You don't need to download one by one, but you need to delete all the old folders first because you have duplicates
The other packs don't work because Fruits and Veggies won't load (because duplicates) and it causes a cascading domino collapse failure, hehe

Probably not a lot of people have tested it yet though, so you never know. I know I didn't have that issue, and someone else testing didn't, but I had a pretty small testing setup and not like SVE and friends

I was playing SVE on a co-op, and I've been experiencing some really long loading times with black screens when heading into town. & on day 5 I can't go into the mine.
I had to have done something wrong installing the mod, right?

@hexed cradle Your log is full of warnings about multiple mods trying to load the same maps, because you're using both SVE and Karmylla's. They both load the town maps and all the interiors - you need to pick one or the other.

(CM isn't missing, it's duplicated because SVE bundles it)
How do i get rid of/prevent multiple copies? removing & reinstalling doesn't seem to work.
You have it installed in two places - Mods, and the SVE folder
The one in the SVE folder is probably older, since it was packaged with the whole set of mods and you likely downloaded it alone to run the other music packs.
Mods\CustomMusic (newer version) and Mods\Stardew Valley Expanded\CustomMusic (older)
So just install the SVE mod & required mods to make it work then install the new versions of mods like custom music?
You just need to remove one of the Custom Music folders.
Delete this folder: Mods\Stardew Valley Expanded\CustomMusic and SVE should work again, along with all the music mods. JA stuff will still need sorting out.
i have the JA mega pack so do i just use that for the JA stuff?
It's not installed in that log, but if you mean you installed it after, it would fix some of the errors. You'd still need Artisan Valley at the least.
I was experiencing very bad slowdown where the game would stutter every second and a half or so. Deleting SVE and turning Automate refresh to 900 solved my issue 100%
do the JA packs have to be in the mods folder or do they stay in the "megapack" folder?
SVE consists of a ton of maps and NPCs and such and requires various frameworks, so while it's good you fixed the issue, it will probably not help very much to isolate a cause 😦

Well I figured SVE was getting too massive.
And I didn’t realize the automate was set to 60 so it was constantly accessing my machines that were connected every second
i got rid of the stuttering by setting automate to 3600 (and modifying a music pack, but i'm not sure that had any effect)
Thats one downside to SVE. It adds so much, a little too much for some people
I might set it to 3600 as well.
Yeah, especially tinkerers and people that like to cherry pick different mods to cobble together their own look :P

(on the tmx issue ) it is most likely on my side ... as well as the other person on the mod post who is having it as well ... i may know why mine is.. but what i think i added to my mods before the newest update and had no issues ... someone let me use a personal update of an old mod that overwrote the SVE TMX ... but again .. this was done before the newest update ... my luck the new one wont work with the update 😦 i reallly don't wanna pull it and find it is the culprit cause i am really happy to have the mod in game 😦 )
It really shouldn't break anything though, so if it breaks some other mod that worked before update I'm sure author will want to know
I am kinda disappointed the large game expansion didn’t work out at least for me.
A lot of the mod authors here don’t care for it much anyway at least as far as I’ve heard.

when it comes to frameworks or toolkits, never overwrite. always delete the old version and install the new

Especially for frameworks really, since they're usually just the dlls and manifests that get overwritten. Doesn't hurt anything to do clean install when you aren't sure, though.

no .. sorry ... i have hard time wording things today ... i was really leaning on the refugee being the case .. so i went ahead and removed it when i reinstalled the newest TMX and put SVE back the way it was supposed to be ... and tmx threw error ... i could do a run of just SVE with refugee and tmx ... but narrowing it down ... the update only changed the railroad tbin ... nothing else

sounds like a json assets issue--they sometimes work themselves out on their own, but i've had that happen in mp too

Alo, i played multiplayer with SVE 1.9 mod installed, apparently my friends couldnt see the custom npc (Olivia, Andy, Victor, Sophia, Susan) when any events occurs. Also we used npc on map mods, and they couldnt see those npc too either its on daily basis or events. Anyone have the same problem or has there fix for these problems ? Thank you !

you can keep the subfolders inside the main folder

@dire fractal it mods the entire game, but won't effect your vanilla save unless you load it with mods installed

and i think she's one of the antisocial ones
the only one I came across was claire and that was before??? that message started showing up
it was kicking out a bunch of error stuff related to those NPCS before settling on the "ad hoc" message
of course, I didn't know how to upload a log then, so...
clairifaction: claire was showing up before I noticed the solid page of red NPC error messages in the smapi window
you can update SVE it seems, i don't know if it does anything about that but it does fix a crash so it's probably good to do it

instal SMAPI >download mod >go to downloads folder, right click mod and extract, move to SDV mods folder (must have run SDV with SMAPI installed at least once for mods folder to manifest)

@haughty gulch It looks like Hisame's New Recipes requires PPJA, and you don't have it installed. You're missing several packs - Fruits and Veggies for example https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1598
I'd look over the requirements on its mod page again and make sure you have them all and don't get any more JA warnings and try again

I looked at the anti social npcs mod, and I understand what it does, I was just wondering why? What is the point of having antisocial npcs?
One of the main driving springs of Stardew Valley is the friendship building thing... If you don't want it to go beyond a certain level, there are ways to do that without making them "blanks"
None of the Castle Villagers (with maybe the exception of Camilla) I have met have been friendly at all anyway. So are they going to turn into "unfriends"? Is there war coming between Castle Village and Stardew Valley?

mod folder isn't affected by reset (and your saves aren't affected by reset)
what will be reseted is the content folder
if you have XNB mods changing the content of the game directly (which is not a good idea), then they'll be removed however

you need to reset bushes
you can do that with Mabel reset terrain feature

Like i assume the chest has to be next to the tree to collect it but...
I think you can put a chest next to it or connect it with flooring

@split patrol you can use for example wood paths as a connector, but that needs to be setup in the config.json of automate
you can use customize anywhere + get glam and i believe that gives you access to the items in a more immersive way via the dresser or whatever it is that get glam puts in the house
though they are easier to find with an item spawner probably, if you know their names
For getting shirt of JA packs you need cjb cheat to spawn them or buy them in a shop that has them. Misdy shirt are sold by tailor mouse for example
