You should see purple text in your SMAPI window if a mod that has an update key has been updated. Then all you have to do is go back to where you downloaded the mod to get the latest version
for SVE there are a lot of visual changes, so you'll know once you go into the game. But if a mod has any sort of issue, you'll see red text come up in your SMAPI window. Oftentimes the mod either won't load or won't load correctly when that happens.
If you get any red text, just upload your log to the SMAPI website and post the link here. Usually someone here can figure out what it means

There's very few mods that can do that. Only the ones that mark themselves as changing the save serializer for the most part
Just make sure to follow uninstall instructions for custom item mods

Hey, I'm having a problem with Seasonal Villager Outfits - my log says "[Content Patcher] Can't apply image patch "Seasonal Villager Outfits for ContentPatcher > Pam Hug Overlay" to Characters/Penny: the FromFile file 'Characters/Pam/Overlay/Pam_fall_Indoor_Rain.png' doesn't exist." . This message is repeated numerous times. I've downloaded the most recent file (March 26th). I think this is causing my game to crash - every so often my game freezes and I'm forced to quit it, in both single and multiplayer. Can this issue be easily resolved or should I uninstall it for now?
hey, im trying to play SVE with the Immersive Farm 2 mod and the map shows the correct modded version. On the other hand when i enter pelican town I cant find the jenkins residence where Victor and Olivia live but I can see the house on my map. I also get the error message that the "stardew valley expanded" folder does not have a content.json and therefore gets ignored. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

i'm using lightning rods inside my shed to link all the chests to the workshop...

Lightning rods aren't chests (or automate connectors)

@restive zodiac i came across another issue kind of like i did with fellowclowns lyell mod ... it is doing the same thing with the mod called Mermaid lagoon ... I cannot enter the lagoon unless i pull the immersive farm map out ... is this something that needs to be fixed like you did for Lyell or is this something the creator or mermaid lagoon has to solve? ( i actually did a quick unwanted fix just to be able to play on it by taking out the warps to the secret woods i like the short cut but eh i can take the extra time to go to SWs if needed)

I want to modify the data of the Haunted Skull monster.
But even if I open the monster data file, I don't see Haunted Skull's data... How do I modify the data in Haunted Skull?

haunted skull is actually a lava bat that has been given a new sprite, and given some extra stats
and its drop items seem to be handled in the game's code in bat.getExtraDropItems, I have no idea if a framework exposes it for easier editing

Hey, I have a question regarding some of the clothing mods for the game, it seems that the clothing/hairstyles work but for some reason I can't get the skirts in the game either through json assets, or through xnb files, I'm guessing they've changed things with tailoring so it's a bit different than it was before?
Skirts are JA now, there's some on the Get Glam page and some on the PPJA abandoned hub
I've gotten all the required mods and got a separate mod with the converted files to JA that should change the xnb files through content patcher but for some reason the pants/skirts stay default.
Clothing isn't done through CP any more, that's what I'm saying. You have to add new ones through JA

The issue is that it doesn't show anything but the very first skirt.
That pack is not allowed to be up, Coii doesn't allow redistribution :/

Yeah, I'm guessing sadly the creator hasn't responded in a while and someone wanted to help out, regarding the spawning in, that's the only one that shows up, both in the customize anywhere mod and all the clothes.

can someone help me with the Stardew Valley Expanded IF2R toggle? I'm looking to get the map without the premade paths or anything. I followed the instructions for "toggle to true in the CP IF2R config" and I loaded my game up and it didn't work.
I did this before creating a new file as well, which is why I'm puzzled.
You're in the content.json instead of the config.json
The config.json is generated when you run the game once with the mod installed

I actually experimented with this mod on another file and wanted to try the map without the fences etc., so I don't know why one wouldn't be there

my boyfriend has experience with Vortex and set this up for me when I wanted to mod Stardew
You need to open the one that's actually in the same place as all the game files
I wonder why vortex wasn't doing that. Anytime I fixed other mods it was fine

And just fyi, vortex sometimes doesn't play nice with stardew so it's not recommended to use it unless you know what you're doing ie in what exact ways it derps

Idk if anyone knows a fix for this but I'm trying to overwrite a greenhouse map in Immersive Farm Remastered SVE to use Jen's Simple Greenhouse but on leaving the green house I get warped to the middle of the river(where I assume the original greenhouse was). Any suggestions?

yes i have, i have moved the greenhouse.tbin file to the overrides and deleted the original mod but the warp location on leaving is causing issues
i dont use IF2R so I'm gonna have to look into it

Uhh could someone help me with the fences problem, i've downloaded flower valley to have those flower fences but they won't load for some reason ?? i've checked my mods and made sure that no other mods are loading any fences and if they did i disabled them in their config files but it wont load ??

Weird, I literally did it in two different instances, I installed all the mods I wanted and then finished off with Coii's collection, and then made a completely fresh folder with the game, installed SMAPI, JA and SpaceCore then the mod itself, and it only shows the shirts as separate clothes.

im not all that bothered by the bugged item name but im mostly concerned about the roe icon being invisible

Looks like you have an old mod changing the strings with a Load instead of an Edit
Possibly the old version of Underdark Sewer/Krobus (neither of those will work properly, grab the unofficial updates/alts)? The easiest way to tell though

I started a run with SVE, PPJA, and Seed Shortage. Its really cool, but I don't see any weeds in Cindersnap Forest to cut for Mixed Seeds, its all grass and trees. Is that normal?

When you say you went through all your mods, do you mean you looked at them to guess if they affected the same thing, or did you check your log to see which mods edited the same file? Or you could do a patch summary to check if any other CP mods were patching the same one later in the list :)

yes, i did indeed! i woke up, went outside, noticed it hadn't patched in, then did patch summary in my console to bring it all up- then exited the game
the farmhouse seems to also be the only one thing with that building mod that's not correctly loading in ๐ฅบ

Hi there, first of all, english isn't my main language, so I apologize if i make any mistakes
I just started with mods for Stardew Valley and Stardew Valley Expanded seems to make problems. Without it anything starts fine, but with it when I start a new game after the Intro i have only the black screen with the loading text bottom left, and there doesn't come anything else.

thinking this crash might be because i am testing the game out on my old save- modded from 1.3 previously. this is my first time bringing it over; i did so to test my MarriageDialogueWizard.json to see if it will work or not, and it did. however.. for some reason the game is crashing when it attempts to load spring 14, year 2. it also isn't loading the wizard's spouse room ([TMX] Looking for Love Spouse Rooms) either for some reason

that is the portrait replacement, you need the original SVE npc folders and then you overwrite the SVE portraits with the other portraits

) I am seeing the fence in the {{season}}_outdoorsTilesheet.png, but if you're using any other mods that touch the world fences- particularly SVE- that may be the issue. If not you may want to run a patch summary and see what else is affecting that tilesheet

So after looking through your log you have a bunch of mods to update, plus you appear to be using Ran's Harvest goddess, which is outdated, as well as CF Orchid Pack, which is causing Custom Furniture to crash. The Flower Valley tilesheets are showing as applying, so plz lmk if removing those 2 mods and updating everything else fixes any of it
Just be sure if you have any of the orchids placed in your house to remove them before removing the pack
is there a mod to let the single villagers love each other and start dating? it could add a layer of reality into the game that i would personally like to see

The only other possible culprit I can think of is Daisy's tiles, but I use CDF2 with Flower Valley and don't have this issue, so I'm puzzled

That said, if you plan to use mod assets in a video thumbnail you may want to get permission- I recall DCBurger was Not Happy about people using their portrait assets on YT thumbnails without permission

@split patrol that's a feature of the farm map. You can edit warps with tmxl if it really bothers you

That's why warps are off
Editing in tiled won't help you need tmxl and edit the forest warp

@split patrol Can you take a screenshot of what you mean by landing in the middle of the farm? It looks like 2 uses default coordinates and shouldn't be altered at all, and the original should have properties on it that fix warps automatically oh, it doesn't anymore.

It's from June (before last official update) so if you have any issues with it ask here and not Daisy, because it might be something already fixed
(Back in June I made a version of the map that used SVE's warp fixing thing for big farms to work with it and sent it, and I think maybe the version I was working off of wasn't the same as Daisy was or something and the properties I had added to the maps didn't transfer over or what have you, oops)
Any one know why I can't extract the files for the stardew valley expanded immersive farm in to the mods folder I'm on mobile btw. It keeps failing with one or more files

so, i had an issue with my game crashing last night
i was told to update smapi, pytk and tmxl toolkit - updated all 3, and having the same issues
wizard's spouse room still isn't loading in, and the game still crashes when i try to save and go to wake up the next morning;;

Hi so my friend just downloaded SMAPI and Content Patcher and a couple mods to go with it. Itโs the latest versions too. But when she ran the game again, her save file was gone and our multiplayer file was also gone. But when she checked the %appdata% saves, the saves were there. But the weird thing was that her old save that she lost was back but the save data in %appdata% wasnโt. This all happened after she installed the mods, and when she uninstalled them her saves were back. SMAPI was also not connecting to steam so the achievements werenโt working even though she set the launch options correctly. The mods all were working so there are no error logs.

- Artisan Valley Machine Goods 3.0.13 because it requires mods which aren't installed (paradigmnomad.morefood).

Many of the components of SVE require the latest SMAPI, which Android SMAPI isn't

You could try rolling back to previous versions of PyTK/TMXL, but if it works you'll have to be careful about what you update, as x mod or another might require a feature in a newer version of y mod which requires a newer version of SMAPI which... and so on.
Then you'd just freeze on those versions until it's safe to update :(

Does resetting also reset the furniture look? Before CP i had a mod that changed the look of the items and some are kinda broken

Hey there again, bumping this once more if anyone has had the same issue, the skirts/pants from Coii's collection are not appearing in the spawn list, fully reinstalled and even went as far as doing a fresh one with just SMAPI, JA and SpaceCore but they still weren't appearing, a couple other people have also reported the same issue.
Yeah, it's in the mods folder along with everything else.

accidentally put this in the wrong chat, but i'm having an issue with the stardew valley expanded mod and the steve stranger things npc. during the 4 heart event, theres an issue with the pathing. my character runs into the pole and i cant finish the event
Install a noclip mod and turn it on before the event
Sve changes so many maps so much it even has to change the vanilla events to make them work with the new maps
And it updates, often, with huge changes, so many npc mods arent compatible

The game saves progress when the in-game day ends, i.e., when the farmer goes to bed, collapses from exhaustion, or collapses at 2am. All progress during a day is lost if the player quits the game without ending the day.

@marble sparrow It's likely do to save anywhere. If you go into your save file you can see the name has been changed a little, you need to change it back to how its supposed to be

@marble sparrow right now it's not the mod itself, it's what the mod has done to the files.
If you go to StardewValley/Saves/(your save), it should look like this, but sometimes when using save anywhere it might have changed the file name

Well looking at your log it looks like its only that the save can't be loaded, the Seasonal Villager outfits shouldn't affect the game
Which is odd given that the game crashes when I'm in game, not trying to load a save
