@bleak harness Not sure about the turning black, but in general if you try rolling back PyTK, there's a good chance you should also roll back TMXL, because higher TMXL versions require higher PyTK versions to work ! I know the beach bridge sometimes getting unfixed with custom maps was a known thing for awhile, but not sure if it ever tracked down
You could always cheat yourself the wood - I think when you fix it post map change it should stay fixed... hopefully.

Cravyk's is the third beach bridge related log I've seen since yesterday but is not using the same mods as the first person; I wonder if there's a more recent issue. Try removing beach fix temporarily?

Hmm, okay. @wind elm I have three different people with different mods touching the beach, and all of them end up with bridge-related issues on the latest combination of SMAPI/PyTK/TMXL.

Xinith#8783's was fixed by removing shop drive through https://smapi.io/log/63c2f2a0b44c41a096f38f2b2d2795b7
MidnightSun#1758's would probably be fixed if removed Island, Nikolai, and Summer Hours if the pattern holds, but two of those would be pretty rough to remove and it hasn't been confirmed

I haven't tested personally because I don't have SMAPI on Android but Pathoschild usually takes care to include Android compatibility. Also, he's great with documentation so he'll probably mention if Android is not compatible

Did the recent PYTK update break Raphtalia, for somereason I can not load my savefile and I get this error, I want to point out that I have the version that was patched to work after the stardew update that broke tmx maps with tilesheets and such, anyone have anyclue how to fix this? here's my log:
Update: manually adding the missing tilesheet (summer_outdoor......etc.png) fixes the crash, however this is the first time this error has happened to me, It only happened when updated.
Raphtalia has been broken in that particular way for some time now, and the fix would be to remove the vanilla sheets instead of adding it, so that it will use the vanilla ones or whatever recolors you have installed
It's because they included spring, so it would only break when switching seasons
@pastel arch Re performance counters, I haven't tested/changed them much since the original PR yet, they're still mainly an experimental feature for future use.

@restive zodiac I just tested Island, BeachFix & shop drive, and got no errors. There must be something else going on. The error suggests that the tilesheet-order is messed up on the beach map. @north musk @wheat pine @bleak harness Please test with this version and post your log (this includes some error handling and puts debug information into the log that might help with figuring out the issue)
Yeah, with the first one I thought maybe just a custom tilesheet out of order, but when the other two posted with different mods saying it just started I wondered if something could have changed. I couldn't think of what could have happened though and so cast summoning spell 😔

Hi! I'm having trouble with the stardew valley expanded mod as well as immersive farm 2 remastered. Everything was fine, I installed both according to the guide and started a new playthrough. Today I opened stardew, updated a couple mods and when i loaded into my save and went outside, my farm was back to the default, and everything was back to "vanilla". My crops were clipping into the edges of the screen cause on the remastered farm there's a larger area. I have no clue how to fix this, I reinstalled both mods and double checked everything, I even tried starting a new playthrough and even that doesn't have the mods applied. Help! 😦

- the bridges to the quarry and the rock pools have rebroken after i fixed them authentically before getting mods
- when i enter the mines my screen goes black but i can still press E to bring up menu

You may also want to check this list of XNB > Content Patcher conversions (https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Using_XNB_mods#Alternatives_using_Content_Patcher) to see if there are already replacements for any XNB mods you may have been using :)

That looks like a known issue - the same as the other missing mine level one - can you confirm Routine?
@restive zodiac found it (somewhat). This error and the duplication causing it, only happens if there is also a cp mod editing the map, and then it's one duplicate per tmxpack. At least happend with Stardew Valley Reimagined 2, though that mod does nothing special tilesheet-wise. @pastel arch Yes, but good someone with the issue is here, can you test it with this: @modest sigil

I could brute-fix it by just removing duplicates, but I would rather find out why it even happens.

i put the mod you sent me in my mod file and replaced it with my old one

@restive zodiac It was the extra code that added the duplicate tilesheets, no idea why it only becomes an issue if cp edits the map aswell, maybe because in that case both mods run it, but I added a check so it doesn't add any tilesheets that are already there, which fixes it.
Doesn't it already only run if the tilesheet doesn't doesn't exist in the map already? 
(I duplicate words in theme with duplicating tilesheets, obviously...)

@spring anchor you dont do anything. you just unzip the file you download, pop it into your content/mods folder, and you're done

Once you do that, it will create a Mods folder for you in your game folder. See the link I sent above for how to install mods and feel free to ask if something isn't clear!
im useing a bunch of xmb files and their working I just don't know what to do with .json files
The link I sent explains how to install them in your Mods folder. We really don't recommend overwriting the game's XNB files for a lot of reasons - for one, they overwrite the game files and are easy to install wrong and a pain to fix when you do. They don't show up in log files, which makes it hard for us to troubleshoot when you need help. There are much easier and more commonly used ways to change assets now, so the XNB mods laying around are almost always out of date compared to the game version, so they can easily break your game even if you install them correctly, etc.

The mod you are trying to install is probably for Content Patcher. You install that by downloading it (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1915), unzipping it, and putting its folder into your Mods folder. Any mod that requires it also goes in your Mods folder, in their own folder. That's it :) @spring anchor

You just do the same thing with the mod you downloaded. You don't put loose files in the mods folder, they stay in a subfolder.

Yep. Like in the thing I typed above, PineapplesEverywhere is the mod folder you would get from the zip.
@tired brook nothing, but in the latest log PyTK isn't doing anything anyway. The diffrence on mac related to this is ofc the location of the content folder. @modest sigil does the mine work if you remove pytk?

@restive zodiac also what you said about XMB files I already made back up saves for all content and game saves and have kept track of what I've swap in and out so If i need to "reset" all is well.
(I also really really suggest resetting your game files back to vanilla and using Content Patcher/SMAPI mods instead. Just because something doesn't crash your game immediately does not mean it's working correctly, and even if they are it's much easier to remove a CP move later than an XNB one.)

okay so i took out PyTK out of my mods folder, and tested it.
if i am having the same issue ... only xnb i changed was the hair ... the others i have reset to vanilla ....

Ok I downloaded this other Mod called Alternative Fences and Gates. here is the link https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/377?tab=files&file_id=3932 anyway when you download the latest version you get a .rawr file (I extracted it with the 7zip application) inside the file was a folder called "Re-texture" and there were to XNB files inside and I put them into my game and they didn't do anything so I removed the XNB files and replaced them with the original XNB files (I always have a copy of "content" folder) but the issue is i still want the mod but I'm un sure of what to do. can anyone help?

"... i checked the mods to be sure i didn't miss any files is there a mod that supply's these unknown objects

@tired brook mine issue is fixed for now.
BFAV does a preliminary loading pass before JA finishes loading, and so all custom items will cause that debug message before loading a save.
They're loaded fully during day start.

@tired brook I think it was two issues. the undergroundmineXX was caused by the sideloading stuff, as expected. but the wrong path ("Maps/Maps") was something else. I don't actually know what, but it's too late here for me to find out, so I just added a check and path-fix to my already existing patch to the FileStream constructor and called it a day

The errors in that log shouldn't affect your saves

Hello I have a issue with my modded game. every time I go to Robins and open the shop menu and I attempt to open "construct farm buildings" it just doesn't open the construct farm buildings menu then my game continues to run it doesn't crash i looked up this issue and people had their games crash but mine is slightly different and I don't no what the cause is if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

@unique pecan That error stack says it's failing to save an object inside a chest in your farmhouse. You might have a leftover item from a mod you uninstalled. Getting rid of it will probably fix the issue. (I'm not super familiar with the process, but hopefully you can just throw it away)
Question regarding CJB cheats. I would prefer to play the game on one load file (PC) completely normal and without the use of this mod, however, I am interested in downloading it and creating another load specifically for CJB. Is this possible? I want to be able to play one load without CJB and the other load with it.

Unless it's glitchy honey. Then it'll have no name, spam your console with errors when you try to pick it up, and then you'll need to install Carry Chest to pick up the chest it's in and throw it into the nearest body of water like it's unwanted sap. (Clear everything you want to keep out of the chest first)

Also regarding CP, I think the data for Pikachu lightning rod is too big so it couldn't load properly. I suggest try removing the mod and see if you still receive errors.

so you get a bonus cut scene. It's not very good and probably comes with standard dialogue that says the exact same thing. It also only triggers on one day of the year, so I could probably have jsut left it in and no-one would've noticed for ages. It was essentially my "let's see how hard it is to write an event" first event.

Hello! I'm brand new to modding in Stardew, from what I've understood is i need SMAPI which is a launcher kinda for stardew (?) that allows you to mod it kinda like forge for minecraft I think, afterwards I just put mods inside of the stardew valley mods folder. Some quick questions I have are 1: is it compatible with the steam version? 2: Can I get like "Ui Info Suite" mod and still join friends coop farms without issues or do they have to have it installed for me to join? and 3: Can I launch the game without mods after having installed SMAPI?
1: yes it is, 2: someone else can answer, but in my experience you can still join and some mods will work, some might glitch your game, some nothing will happen at all, 3: yes

Did I extract it to the wrong place? The guide was stating Stardew Valley/Mods but I couldn't find a single file type with that name.
So I just put it near the same area as the SMAPI installer.
I haven't tried running it because I don't want to end up breaking anything, which I apparently have a tendency to do.

@toxic perch Also not sure, it relies on several different frameworks that all need to work on Android for it to even load, though. (spacecore/pytk/tmxl/cm/ja/ftm/cp...)
Then there are the large maps in it that could be a problem - it doesn't seem to correlate with specs exactly so it's hard to say if it will definitely affect you or not, but if stuff technically works but you feel like your phone/tablet is going to die, it's probably the maps.

Circe, the dll is a file in the mod's folder next to the manifest.json - the cApItaLiZatiOn of the file has to match how the manifest.json refers to it! It's a simple edit though, but did you get that from the Nexus?

The event id and mail id are different things, though. So if you have content related to whether or not you've seen an event, it doesn't matter if you've gotten the mail.

Hey I have a question, we wanted to add some new furniture without replacing old furniture in Multiplayer and tried custom furniture, I used the unofficial patch as well, but sadly as soon as another player enters the house the items rotate :/

@outer turret It's not technically for LFL alone since it should work with anything that lets you marry same-named NPCs, just made with it in mind https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5644 but yeah good examples hopefully, I haven't looked at their json to see if it is tidy.
@vocal rapids I have not ever had good experiences with CF in multiplayer, so I'm not sure if there's something that could be done about it. Some people found returning to title and back helped with certain weirdness in an earlier version of it, could try it I guess. I don't use it in multiplayer though, even though I desperately want to :(

And yeah they mentioned being limited by the tilesheet. The tilesheets you use in the patio have to already exist in the farm map, that's what I was talking about last night. I think you could get around it with a tiny invisible merge to the farm map that includes your tilesheets but I haven't tried it yet.
(depends on how it works on the FHR side, might not help at all)
Oh I meant the way the game handles furniture, after reading up on it it seems like I could replace items in the tilesheet of the furniture, but I could not just expand the tilesheet and add additional furniture onto it. So I'm guessing that's why we have Custom Furniture in the first place, to act as pillar mod for additional furniture :o
Really impressive what the community does btw, I played 100 hours in 2016 and now I returned back, was impressed when I looked at the number of mods!

You can also just clear your launch options to play the vanilla game, temporarily rename your Mods folder to anything but Mods, or launch the original Stardew Valley (chicken) executable directly from the game folder. You could look into mods like Natural Paths https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2726 (there are lots of paths recolors on Nexus though) !
The only way to edit the actual farm though is with Tiled and a map mod

@tall meteor Starting a world without mods is fine. For most mods it's also fine to remove mid-save, but it depends. The game will remove custom locations and npcs and stuff from your save automatically, but you need to get rid of stuff like custom items and crops and whatnot before uninstalling the thing providing them. For the most part you're free to try it and see, and as long as you don't save it like that you can always undo it!
Basic recolors of existing assets and stuff are fine to add or remove.

Not all of them at once, but some like ATDSV and A Wittily Named Recolor recolor parts of springobjects as well as the other parts

Q: is it possible to install mods for stardew (for a new save file) while being able to leave my current/vanilla save file untouched and playable? (Where I can freely/easily switch between playing my vanilla save file or modded save file on the same device on the go? Or is it all or nothing with mods where I have to pick which way I want to play and switching requires careful/numerous steps to change between modded vs vanilla save?)
