Stardust core is a dependency for Omegasis' Happy Birthday and Stardew Symphony mods. The newest version is missing some necessary files. To fix it:
- Install version 2.4.1 from the Old Files section (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2341?tab=files).
- Rename the
Contentfolder toModAssets. - Reinstall the newest version (2.5.0). On Windows, choose to overwrite the old files; on MacOS, hold down the option key and choose
Merge.

Most mods are really easy to install; just unzip and add to your mods folder once you've installed SMAPI
it's pretty easy! you just need to download SMAPI and put them in the mods folder, and you're done

if you're looking at older mods, they may be outdated and ask you to put them in your Content folder, don't do that

Then when you have the zip file
Extract it
Move the extracted file in the folder called mods
Then play.
it says I need a mod called tmx loader but I cant find the base mod only things "for tmx loader"

u can delete the archives, u only need the folders
make sure your folders don't have strings of numbers after the names
uh what if they do have strings of numbers after the names
that's okay! there will be another folder inside that one, drag it to your mods folder instead
its good practice to look inside whatever folder u end up with, so you know what you're working with
the easiest way i've found to extract mods is to double click the folder in your downloads and drag whatever is inside into mods--it'll copy it there and automatically extract
if u wanna right click make sure youre using 'extract here' instead of extracting archives to their own folders

yeah i think part of the large log issue is from playing for a while before getting an error? i use quite a few mods and i can still usually upload my logs without crashing stuff

- Having her stop the server and re-start it

i think it have something to do with the current save
i try loading a backup and it work just fine
but we lost a ton of progress

If none of those worked, it's possible something is wrong with the save. You could try installing a cheat mod (i.e. CJB cheats menu or CJB item spawner), re-doing/adding in items you had, and removing it. Or just playing again

@bright ocean The CPA version might be borked but AFAIK that's a CPA issue. There's also an issue with the animated trees but it only popped up recently as well.
I saw mobile discussion afterwards and I don't support Android for any of the stuff I make since I for sure can't test it if that was related.

That's a known issue deephouse, it's due to the size of the map and number of monsters :/ You can try removing that map if you want, but it may cause other issues with the mod

Some machines can't handle the map sizes, yes. We've had quite a few reports after the last big update of lag/freezing

The last time it was asked about here, Flash said he wasn't supporting it anymore and hadn't been able to keep up with SVO changes, if I remember. It really needed an overhaul in any case, because it relied both on replacing xnbs (the original mod) and replacing files in another mod's folder (SVO) when it's really simple to just make a seasonal portrait mod yourself.
(or add a dependency for the sprites and to edit your portraits after)
It probably needs hidden if he's not gonna support it then, or marked incompatible
It doesn't have anywhere near the same number of portraits though, I think people just think "oh SVO, I better edit that" even though it's like one patch to do simple seasons and (D)SVO does so much more than that that you probably weren't intending to match
My favorite is when people edit SVO and say it doesn't work afterwards 
The biggest issue we run into is people wanting to use the outfits from (D)SVO - the permissions are so spread out it's not practical for another project to try and use the same stuff, so they end up trying to edit ours

only one of them. More Grass (the framework) will "replace" the vanilla grass so it can't be patched by CP
but More Flowery Grass allows to "replace" vanilla grass anyway, so it's not really needed to have both

@dire fractal that one wasn't even in the custom exterior folder when I loaded up the game. It popped up in an earlier error so I removed the folder from the buildings folder...
So I don't know why an error showed up for a folder that's not even in the mods anymore

Nope, it's just the manifest json, a dll and a pdb file, then the buildings folder where the building mods are supposed to go that you can access in-game to change the exterior of buildings.

I currently do not have any actual building mods running, they're all in CE buildings folder, so I wasn't sure if I am supposed to have at least 1 building mod applied or not. Also I ran into a problem with using a slime hutch winery mod where it's overrun by the other building mods and won't use the skin from the mod it's self.

I would say delete the save Json, but I believe that that is stored inside the save file now

The one I've been using is Yellog's wood buildings, then I decided to get CE cuz I wanted different skins for different buildings.
It doesn't matter what you have installed outside of CE, it should be fine
But it's trying to load Seasonal Victorian Buildings from CE right now
I can't even find an update or the seasonal again to redownload it, so I might just toss that one. It seems Gwen's is inspired by it, and I like her stuff a lot.

How do you install the packs? It sounded like you just drop them into the Buildings folder. At least that's how it read on the website
If they're formatted the correct way, you do. But you need to structure them so that the filenames match the buildings, which may not be the case for CP packs
Since with CP you can tell it to load spacechase0s_cat.png into the shed file
The format is:
+- Buildings
+-+ TextureSetA
| + Shed.xnb
| + houses.xnb
| + ...
(Or inside a season-named folder if they're seasonal)
CE was made before CP or content packs existed. It really needs updating 😛

i've been trying to figure this out by searching here but i'm trying to get farmhouse redone to work, together with SVE, i've read the issue is the custom spouse rooms in SVE? Could/should I just delete those? My brain is somewhat fried atm, sorry if this is redundant
What is the specific issue you are having?

(FHR is harmony patched up the wazoo and so can have issues in different ways. SVE touches most of the content in the game and relies on different frameworks which can also conflict in different ways 😄 It's just easier to respond to the problem and not only the assumed solution.)
Things that I know about, at least -
FHR maps that move the spouse room won't be compatible with TMXL custom spouse rooms (like SVE's). TMXL will put them in the default location, and just changing the coordinates voids them out entirely. You can remove the custom spouse rooms if you can live without them, and the room will just be empty.
Farmhands don't have/can't see each other's custom spouse rooms
this is a bug in TMXL's spouse room script I believe.
Farmhands crashing on marrying custom NPCs. Not sure what is causing this, but it doesn't seem to be related to FHR or TMXL/PyTK.
thank you-- i figured that i'll just do without FHR for now as I do really enjoy SVE, and didn't really want to f up the whole mod. I got the Tile Index is out of range error, and I'm pretty sure the spouse room was moved in the map that I was using. I might try and make something work in the future but there doesn't seem to be an easy fix
(It shouldn't hurt anything to comment out the spouse rooms, they'll just be empty.)
hi! i got the more trees mod and it says a tree needs 8 free tiles to grow, but i'd like to have an orchard and i want to change the 8 tiles to less. i can't find a file to change that option. is it even possible?

I have tried everything and im so close to giving up. Ive followed different youtubers to get the mods working on the new version of SMAPI. It just sees 2 of the mods for some reason

Right, but they shouldn't :P If a mod doesn't load, SMAPI will try to tell you why in the log, so it's good to be familiar with the parser since it makes it a lot more readable!

yeah i know, but im always so unsure and kind of stupid when it comes to the mods. Because i remember i needed so many things for that expansion pack
Workshop support is pretty unlikely since we have a nice modding community that has a lot of freedom already, and Steam probably wouldn't allow mods that can run arbitrary code anyway. There are only two devs and SDV was never intended/expected to be modded, so I can't imagine the amount of work that the game would need to be "officially moddable", and it would probably end up more limited than our unofficial but very supported setup here.

I want to get a bigger greenhouse. However, I'm using SVE, which needs Immersive Farm, which also alters the greenhouse. How do I disable the Immersive Farm greenhouse so that I can get a bigger one?
just don't do as i did and read the installation for every mod, and check they are at least from late 2019 so they don't fuck up anything, if you doubt it's outdated check on Smapi Mod Compatibility if they are up to date or if there is a unofficial update@crimson swallow

Note: Seasonal greenhouse maps are not currently supported by this method. To use a seasonal greenhouse map like Spacious Greenhouse, or Pookachu's Seasonal Greenhouse, you'll also need to overwrite the content.json in the [CP] Immersive Farm 2 Remastered folder with this one. Naming scheme is greenhouse_spring.tbin, greenhouse_summer.tbin, etc.

looks at her mods folder as well Managers over complicate things, as much as I like Moddrop. And vortex has been the root of several unexplainable errors that were solved by manually installing instead

One thing that helps me personally not want one I guess is that it's very simple for me to mass-select folders and right click to rename them all at once. I can just say "put . before existing name" and they're all disabled.

I don't think her mod moves the spouse rooms. So in theory should be fine unless you are a farmhand, in which case a blazing glory of crashes when you get married

You can always test and see and no harm done when you remove it (or remove the other thing). It's not something she can fix if there's a problem, though.
i don't have 10 hearts SVE romanceable NPC yet
Also! In case you did not know, custom spouse rooms are optional in that they're not required for an NPC to function, so if you do have an FHR map that moves the room, it's possible to edit the npc pack to not load a custom spouse room. It will just be empty and sad.
My stance at this point for any custom farmhouse is that use at your own risk with SVE
Because whatever the issue is, we can't fix it

That and the FHR + TMXL not using same coordinates for moved spouse room are the only ones I know about. And the farmhand crash didn't look related to TMXL/PyTK
