!reset Your fish are borked, probably by CPA with animated fish. Can you disable both Content Patcher Animations and Animated Fish? Remove Tmxl Map toolkit as well, and try to reset the day

Try going back to an older save, your Special Orders are also messed up. Did you delete a mod with a special order recently?
@vernal apex If you follow these instructions it should work. It might specifically be because CPA hasn't been updated, neither has animated fish. Looking at the special orders, it was specifically one regarding fish, too.

Check your recycling bin just to double check; it might just be because of this but it's better to be safe

I did that, and it had nothing. Which is weird, because that item is not even on the reference sheet, and it's not producing anything, even though it should. I wish I could contact the author, because this seems to me, that they somehow forgot this item.

my friend downloaded the same mods as me and so we pretty much have the same dated mods. they just didnt have any issues when updating their better chests
I have a question for anyone who's knowledgeable about Better Junimos & Greenhouse Gatherers. Before 1.6 was announced, I used to use these 2 mods alongside Better Junimos Crop Fields. Unfortunately, I noticed that the junimos wouldn't replant certain plants such as sunflowers, wouldn't plant things on the correct tiles, and now BJCF is outdated and I can't find any unofficial updates for it. Does anyone know how to automate harvesting & replanting without issues like mentioned above?
I'm also trying to find my own solution for those two as well but so far, garden pot options and garden pot automate are doing a splendid job of gathering indoor crops that aren't being grown in soil!
I took a look at those mods but their descriptions don't mention replanting the crops.
Is there something I'm missing?
the automate compatibility will take seeds that you've put in chests, just like with junimo huts, and plant them!
you just also need automate for it to function

but you can probably also separate them into two chests and put them together it'll still work by sorting them out into the chests containing which item since that's how automate functions!
Have you had any trouble with harvesting & replanting mod-added crops with that garden pot mod?
i haven't tried it with mod-added crops yet but it's unlikely!
Hey guys, kind of a weird issue but my Automate mod seems to be working only one way. It will automatically start smelting if the chest has coal and ores but it won't auto put the smelted bars back into the chest, I have to manually take them before it auto-smelts again

Check your chest settings! do you have any mods for your chest? if you have convenient chests or anything of the like where you can choose whether items go back into a chest, that might be affecting it
Ever since I discovered that Better Chests could do what Convenient Inventory could and more, I just switched to that lol.

I had to update to the latest version of Automate for this to resolve for me, are you on a current version
hmmmmmm it's tricky to say if it's the mod itself or not bc i know the latest releases for better chests can tend to be buggy :o

i'm not sure if this is your problem but I'm also pretty sure there are settings for mods like chests anywhere where you can configure if chests have items taken from them or not and if items are put back in them or not- it's always good to double check that specific chest and see if you've accidentally disabled that if you do happen to have it
Is this behavior happening to all chest/machine configurations no matter what? Or just that one specific machine group?

one thing im noticing with lookup anything: no producer rules show up meaning i dont actually know how to craft anything with cornucopia or wildflour xD
like i dont know what i can/cant put into custom machines from the above mods because its not parsing the items that can go into it or out

so it has made lookup anything kinda useless
as i can look up villager gift tastes easily but not every mod comes with a tldr on producer rules for its mod
which is super annoying and makes the mod extremely hard to actually do anything in. that and certian fish conditions being ignored in pokemon fish

Hey.. so just wanted to let ya'll know, I had a file that smapi kept failing as no manifest.json, cp, smapi, ect are all updated, had a friend check, worked fine for them. Finally took the cp and ftm folders out of the main folder into main root mods folder, and it works fine.
To be frank, I see this often-double check the folder arrangements and contents and never install a farmhouse mid-playthrough. You can delete it though, and noclip to grab things. Any farmhouse not updated prior to March 19th is broken to an extent

Evenin y'all. Afraid I'm at the end of my rope on this one so some advice would be appreciated. I'm a fairly new and inexperienced user of Linux Mint, and I'm having trouble installing SMAPI. Following the Modding:Installing SMAPI on Linux guide, I'm stopped at the first hurdle by 'sudo apt install libssl1.1' returning the message that the package is not available, but is referenced, implying the package is missing, obsolete, or only available from another source. Attempting to run the installer without this prerequisite results in absolutely nothing happening. Please, tell me what I'm doing wrong

hello! looking for some help, a friend and i are trying to play co-op with mods, we've both updated all our mods and it runs smoothly on one end but when one of us tries to join the other in the world we get this

you can either all have spacecore or no one has spacecore
You can mod your multiplayer games, but to avoid any hiccups, all players' mod lists need to match. If players have too many mismatched mods, you will experience bugs in your game - even if the mods were working fine earlier, there is no guarantee that they will stay that way, and strange things may start occurring. There are a few exceptions to this - cosmetic mods usually work fine with no glitches, and some C# mods work as well. Mods often include information on whether or not they work in multiplayer in their descriptions. However, in general, your mod lists should match exactly.

So I recently went to update everything (this is my first time modding my game) ... my smapi is showing yellow text for warps and in game i'm getting error items.
Do I need to wait for an update from spacecore/JA/something else? ... or do I need to wait for updates from the specific mods (ex: ridgeside, guild expanded, rainy, etc)? .... if neither can someone help me figure out what I did wrong-please and ty.

Hi! I’m using the Upgrade Empty Cabins mod and am having a bit of trouble. I renovated an upgraded cabin using the command and it automatically removed the bedroom wall, added the corner room (basic), and the southern room. I can’t seem to access any of the other renovations, nor can I reverse any of the renovations (I didn’t want the one wall removed, but I can’t undo it). Any ideas?
I tried talking to robin but she has no options for the cabins

you don't need both afaik? vanilla face lift has the normal + winter portraits, SCC uses different portraits for every season. I would just pick one delete the other one

I somehow messed up creating a seperate smapi mods folder for multiplayer (followed the instructions on wiki to the best of my very little ability). Below is the link to my forum post with more info (log, screenshots, script, etc.) but tldr is that the executable opens smapi and stardew but through the base Mods folder not the new folder designated by executable. I realize I could try Stardrop but would rather use this method if possible. Json assets, not Spacecore. Probably something you deleted recently that lost the texture
Getting rid of all the item errors by picking or trashing should fix it 🤔
I mean, when the item is ready, it appear as a some sort of glitched fish, but after pick it up, it become fine

But the fact it fixes itself is interesting..
mod issue or space core/json asset issue, days ago, they updated the mod and other producer mods got broken out of nowhere, then later after update again, things got fixed

So, just going to guess this is a normal restriction because you aren't the farmhand attached to it, so you can't modify it further.
Were you playing multiplayer? Those don't sound like NPC names but multiplayer names. Do you have cabins?
Update: It's also happening w/o Niko's mod. I'm not sure about w/o Way Back cuz the vanilla Carpenter's Shop building is taller and covers those parts of the trees. I reinstalled both; Niko and Way Back, but it doesn't help 💀
They are NPC names, but the thing is they won't show up on NPC Map Locations if they're gone from save
So chances are they didn't delete them.
(Gotcha. I was thinking of the save remnants glitch when someone downloaded a MP save.)

They were custom NPCs that I was editing. I still have Alycia on my save, but Ayala and Gabs are loooooong gone. I have ZERO files with their names but the game still recognize them. And I'm getting A LOT of warnings that the game couldn't find their xnb portraits

The recognizing them part and missing portraits is normal, but NPC map locations wouldn't load them otherwise

your first time modding your game and you got 236 mods damn bro 😭 log is saying you're missing some some maps (hat mouse lacey), a portait for dusty, and something related to an east scarp npc (aideen it seems? some armor for them?). the warp issue seem like a mapping issue as well (mostly related to east scarp i think? ive not played the map myself so i am not sure on these locations but if so, maybe a quick reinstall or make sure you've got it updated maybe). NPC "reyla" seems to have her daily schedule totally broken. i tried looking up that mod to maybe see if there was some clear issue with it but i cannot seem to locate it anywhere, nexus or otherwise.

Perfectly fine, the AideenMateo is harmless just trying to load things early, Hat Mouse is just an old compat patch for something that isn't there and harmless.
Dusty just means you deleted it or it doesn't work and won't load. debug killnpc DustyNPC should finish him off if typed into the smapi console
You have old warps in the save from Zuzu and Ghost town, which is also normal save data

hello! i have had issues launching the game with SMAPI. It's the latest Steam version of the game and latest version of the mod, and I followed the installation instructions on the wiki. It was working no problem for a while, but now when I launch, the SMAPI window opens, generates 2 lines of text, then doesn't do anything else unless I close the window, at which point the game on Steam closes too. The lines are:

i'm already doing a playthough of 1.6 with friends so I wanted to have max expansions/npcs to have a different feel LOL. i don't think i can do the repeat of same.
yeah, i tried reinstalling a lot of them (deleting from folder fully and putting new download).. but the issue is still persisting so i'm assuming i need to wait for newer updates of something?
dusty i swapped to a different dusty mod so i'll try reinstalling the new one or killing the old one

No, it saves it in Save Data. Spacecore records it so the game doesn't break if you remove mods
A lot of the "These warps don't exist" Are either places you haven't unlocked questioning why they don't exist, or are old East Scarp warps that need to be updated for 1.6 but doesn't cause issues. Raffie's Reyla is technically an issue
But it just means her schedule isn't working for that day
She still exists, she still works, she's just taking an off-day from walking.

so im using this mod called farmer portraits for 1.6 which works great but sometimes the font goes offscreen and someone recommended downloading a mod called font settings to make the dialogue font smaller so i did that but no matter what i do in configs the font stays the same

So... I just created a new save to run some tests. The NpcMapLocations bug was gone, those 2 custom NPCs name were no longer there. Checked the log, no warnings too 👀

Hello! i hope i am not interupting i have a question though. I have been trying to fix this for a few days to no avail. Whats happening is whenever my partner joins the game im hosting she gets a black screen that shows only her cursor she can open inventory and options but thats it. when i go to sleep her screen returns to colour and she can run around her house but not leave or it crashes. whilst my game gets the black screen when i sleep (we essentially swap problems) if anyone could help that would be lovely! ill put in our smapi logs.. thanks! 😄

Just wanted to say I have 100% fixed my problem. All I had to do, was find my save files and search for their names. Instead of deleting them, I added my only custom NPC that I have and done, problem solved. No more warnings, no more map bugs, everything is back to normal. So THANK YOU for your time, for your patience and have a good night (its 2:12am here, been trying to fix this for the past 3 hours lol I'm exhausted)

nothing shows wrong in the logs maybe a non 1.6 updated recolor is messing with your game? take out recolors and try them one by one is my suggestion
additionally I would reset the game files and turn back a day if nothing works out

Weird, im currently using ellie's greenhouse mod, just updated it, i chose the correct config too, but when i load into the game all of my previous planted crop just become an item lying on the ground, is that normal everytime i update that mod and i have to replant everything whenever i update?

At least one of your issues is downloading multiple mods that change the same exclusive thing. Sometimes its important to check what is being changed and double check that you're not installing say...2 haircuts with the same unique ID. This looks to mostly be an issue with Coii's hairpacks, I'd suggest returning to that mod's nexus page and double checking the documentation and description.
thirdly you definitely have at least one issue where you're missing a requirement. Ensure that you have all requirements for all installed mods by checking the "requirements" dropdown on each mod's nexus page.
It also looks like at least one mod is outdated, I'm not sure TMXL is still used? I'd have to double check though. Certainly CustomFurniture and its related mods won't work anymore.
A lot of mods no longer work after the 1.6 update, so thats important to check.
there is a mod called Profiler https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/12135 which can identify when other mods take "too long" (configurable) to run their event handlers

tmxl was a requirement for a few of my furniture and building mods, and I'm not sure what requirement I'm missing either. It says I don't have the customfurniture.dll in the screenshots but I have that mod downloaded and in the mod folder so idk

this is supposed to be giving you an item from that list but the [] characters didn't parse so it got displayed raw. (also, the item ids are supposed to use capital O and not lowercase o. that may have caused this, or may be unrelated).

if you have a program that can search all the files in a directory for matching text (e.g. grep), you could search your Mods folder for this dialogue and find it pretty quickly

Your first job is to remove Custom Furniture and any of the mods that rely on it:
- (CF) Cosy Cafe 1.0.2 because it needs the 'Custom Furniture' mod, which couldn't be loaded
- (CF) SweetHeart Furniture 1.0.0 because it needs the 'Custom Furniture' mod, which couldn't be loaded.
- CF Nature objects 1.1.0 because it needs the 'Custom Furniture' mod, which couldn't be loaded.
- DTANaDaWTNaRW 1.1.0 because it needs the 'Custom Furniture' mod, which couldn't be loaded.
- Hanging Dried Flowers 1.0.1 because it needs the 'Custom Furniture' mod, which couldn't be loaded.
- Mioudew's Elegant Victorian Furniture for Custom Furniture 1.0.0 because it needs the 'Custom Furniture' mod, which couldn't be loaded.
- Witch's Garden Flowers 1.0.0 because it needs the 'Custom Furniture' mod, which couldn't be loaded.
Your second task is to find out why these two have an empty folder:
- Masks because it's an empty folder.
- 定妆镜Cosmetic mirror because it's an empty folder.
- Fashion Sense - Vintage Interface v1 Buttons because it's an empty folder.
Open up the folders, see what is in them. If they are, indeed, empty, redownload the mod, or preview its file contents and see what you've missed out on, or look through the posts, articles and bug reports.
Your third task is to go through the following mentioned mods and see what they are trying to do, because clearly they are exclusive and cannot both affect the same thing. I would assume you have likely either;
- Installed a "pack" that requires you to select one of the folders inside it and use it, as opposed to keeping it all installed (check mod descriptions). OR
- Installed two mods that do exactly the same thing (potentially one for all farmers and one for all female farmers by the looks of it?

none of those mods have empty folders weirdly enough, and even though the fashion sense v1 interface says its an empty folder it's still applying the retexture in my game for the hand mirror ui so idk

Yeah it won't ever work (custom furniture) - you can convert CF mods, but for now given your modding experience and current scenario I'd likely give it a little bit of time before attempting such a thing. (Fix the current issues before moving on - also this should've been a reply to Gwen)

If you stay tabbed in and wait for a (fairly long) period of time, does that solve anything? Sometimes modded games can take a longass time to load in and tabbing out can break them.
Are you trying to load saves that used a totally different modlist to your current one?
yea i get that modded games take longer to load but most of the time my files open after about 3 mins, just lately that havent been loading in at all, ill be waiting on the black screen for hrs and still nothing. all my mods are the same, havent changed any

Ginger Island is not working right for me. It may have been something I did... I warped to the farm there before Willy had the boat fixed, and since I had walnuts I got the parrots to repair the farm. Two days later I went there on the boat, and got the parrots to repair the beach resort. But now, there's no parrot there to make the turtles go away. I can't walk from the beach to the farm. I'm not sure why.

Hey, did anyone else have weird issues with Ian's 6 heart event (ridgeside village) where his "profile picture" was empty and his character was invisible during most of the event? And when he did show up, he was in a completely different outfit and style that I've never seen him in before? He went back to normal after the cutscene and is now wearing his regular clothes again

that's the point of the mod though. The mod allows you to modify the cabins without being the attached farmhand. Without the mod you wouldn't be able to upgrade it at all. It would be stuck in base one.

ever error says that the mod cant load the building because the source image is smaller than the source area, and youre apparently missing some images from the craftables and the buildings arent loading because the images arent the correct size, if im reading this right
did you download the mod from nexus? do you have any other mods that change the look of your farm building exteriors?
i downloaded all of my mods from nexus, i used to use elle's seasonal buildings and town buildings but i deleted those mods because i wanted to use the medieval buildings instead
do you think i should just delete the mods and redownload them??

hmm, maybe someone more experience should look this. my only reccomendation would be to delete the mod, scrub your folders for any existing mods that would conflict and then redownload.
what mods would conflict with them
id check the mod pages for what you had installed and make sure you removed it properly, otherwisse any content packs for farm buildings, even seasonal decorations like vines could conflict
I think you should delete those folders completely and redownload them, apparently its not finding the png in that particular path. As well as having size issues.

you should be good, idk what the shipping bin mod is but if its aesthetic then you might want to delete or turn off because the medieval buildings has one

those are for if people want specific pieces but not the whole mod, the lamp one might also conflict but im not sure
ill delete the lamp mod and see if theres new lamps with the craftables mod

yeah, you can pick which one for the wood and stone lamps in the config menu of the mod
does anyone know why magnus hasnt left the farmhouse since we got married... whenever hes supposed to be leaving he just walks through the walls and into the void. this doesnt happen when i start a new game either, its just with this one specific game file. its driving me nuts trying to figure it out

SOS trying to join a multiplayer game with a friend and these errors come up with SMAPI - we have most, not all, of the same mods, but the aesthetic mods i have that they don't shouldn't interfere with the game.
sprite master has been replaced by clear glasses theres a bug with clear glasses

hi is anyone able to tell me how to properally launch my mods? i made a folder of all the mods im trying to use (just the most popular ones tbh nothing out of the ordinary) then i dragged all those unzipped files into the stardew valley game file folder and launched with smapi, but the mods still arent working and it says at the top that it's launched with 2 mods running but im not sure which ones and why it's not all of them
i have a idea but im scared it will break the game

i checked that and i have everything required i think im just not adding them to the game properly

what if i copyed a farm file i currently have on day 11 and pasted it back in basically duping the file
you'd have to edit it to have a different ID to have the game read it differently
I've done that for my single player vanilla file
But even then it was annoying
...
