You're not on Mac, the screenshot is Windows Explorer
You can literally right-click on the zipped file and hit extract
That'll fix the issue for you
some of my zipped files work tho im sorry im still new to this and when i first went on pc someone had to pretty much hold my hand and guide me through everything
None of the zipped files can be loaded as mods by SMAPI
smapi can't read zip files so that is a lie
some of the files are not zipped in the screenshot

and ehat i was saying about zipped folders still being read for example i have instant buildings on and it’s zipped but still works as a mod
If I had to took a shot in the dark I would have guessed it is because of a setting in the CJB cheats menu rahter than actually being instant building mod working since you actually never gave us your log
got it alright, i also went to load and it said all the mods i just unzipped were skipped mods but smapi is receiving them
so i think that’s good?
If you are having anymore issues you really need to provide a log
you probably kept the zipped files in the Mods folder instead of deleting them

You have Farm Type Manager twice. The one without all the numbers at the end of it is empty and should be removed
Immersive Farm 2 isn't compatible, it should be removed
NPC Map Locations is working, you just need to get rid of the folder with all the numbers after it. Same for Tractor Mod and Lnh's More farm along with Fashion sense

You want SVE?

yeah, seemed I missed an empty PFM automate folder. Removed that, redownloaded PFM automate and automate and it works now. The Producer Framework Mod still fails though with Fizzy drinks 6.0. I am guessing that is broken. I wonder if using the previous version will be okay?

i did see in the comments on the mod page that at least one person had the same issue, i was mostly curious if anyone had ever found a solution; it doesn't break anything if there's not fix, but i thought i'd ask
you didn't remove the folders we requested, you just removed the zips
In your mod folder, you will see two Farm type managers
Mods\Farm Type Manager v1.16.2-3231-1-16-2-1698270173 and Mods\FarmTypeManager
delete the former

Edited to add: I think it is missing a comma after Licorice Root before it identifies ingredient 245 and Vanilla Extract. I am NOT sure of that but that seems different than when other producer name paragraphs have multiple ingredients.
There is also a round bracket instead of curly one at the end of sentence 1108, I got the error, tried the correction and it worked so I can not show it to you directly, sorry.

and the fix is basically to remove what the map/farm creator added and download actual farm type manager mod
fashion sense is a frame work if you want new clothing and stuff you need the content packs. It is not a good bad thing it just doesn't do much in its own thing

No they'll all be different clothes packs. They're kind of named whatever the authors felt like naming them. Some will put FS in the beginning so you know they are "Fashion Sense" packs

I am going to be honest bc i also play on a potato laptop but if you are computer is struggling don't go for big farm maps
yeah i’ve noticed that, though i did get this computer not even three months ago and i had a family member who is skilled in computers and knowing in what you need for gaming and such to help me choice what to pick with graphic cards and such (trying to find a good computer is so hard this computer was almost 2,000😭🫶)

Hello- I need some help with the "Unlimited players mod". I have installed smapi and did all the necessary steps for other mods to work, but this one just wont do the do. I even went into the game startup files and chaned the "-1" to 6 so more people could join. Is there anything i can do to get more than 4 players?

You need to build cabins for each player being added.

you should be able to build more cabins at Robin's if you properly swapped startup_preferences playerLimit to something like 10/14 and just went there
Source: I've done that. I even guided a friend of mine through doing that to let us do a 10 player vanilla farm in the past
If you're willing to go without some of your mods, you can wait a week and 1.6 will have 8 player support
it'll break a lot of mods, but it will natively support your larger group

ridgeside village is trying to run code when you switch tabs in the menu, but it is using a bad index for some operation.
as far as i know, it works correctly in most cases, so some other mod is probably invalidating an assumption RSV is making
maybe someone very familiar with RSV can offer more info. i don't know what it's trying to do, so it could be almost anything

that or you overrode Ridgeside's music with the extra music

Those should be separate things - you should not be unzipping "extra music" inside Ridgeside's folder

It's stating you're missing the SAAT folder inside the Ridgeside folder
which means one of two things
Either you unzipped it and didn't have the SAAT folder in
Or when you're unzipping "extra music" it's asking if you want to override stuff
you never, ever, ever want to overwrite
there are rare cases where you should, but as a general rule in modding, never do that

when I go up and click on them to have a conversation like I do with other NPCs, they just show the little heart sign like the base game kids do without mods. They don't say anything and no context pops up.

Using Vortex Mod Manager with Stardew Valley has the risk of your mods not getting installed properly, and other issues. Consider doing manual mod installation or using Stardrop, a mod manager that was purpose built for SDV, instead!

If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

If I enter the greenhouse i cannot move, even can´t get out of the greenhouse, the only thing I can do is teleport to another location. Is this a known bug in that particular version?

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.
Pytk is a requirement for almost all of my mods & it hasn't been updated since I last downloaded it so I can't do much about that, but I updated all the mods I have that had updates and I'm still getting the same access error

If you go to the Files tab for those mods on NexusMods, you will see both versions. Make sure you AREN'T downloading the one that says it's for Alpha only.

Hi, I don't know what to do. I am so lost. Smapi continues to tell me that it can't find the game, and when I try to get an error log, it tells me it doesn't exist.
I think I screwed up somewhere and have tried to uninstall Smapi to start over, but it doesn't let me get past not being able to find the game file.
How are you launching the game?

it's literally that you have two of the folder. One called Canon Friendly, the other (more updated) called Stardew Valley Dialogue expansion
Both are prefixed with [CP]
so they'll be at the top of your mods folder. Just yeet "canon friendly" and you're good

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

There's only one to clear the register.. at this point use can just use debug perfection when you did what you want to do and cheat the rest, since first it was cooking, then fish...
nah but its imposible when you have 10 modded fish that you dont even know where to find

even from stardew valley expanded
but other moded fish dont even have like written location so...its kinda usless

Are you sure that's a fish then..? Or it can have special requirements, like that one fish from More New Fish that only shows up on Spirit's Eve

Ohhhh... yeah, I'm out of my debt here then hah, I'll just say make sure everyone you play with has the same set of mods & configs (excluding purely cosmetic stuff in most cases) or you can definitely run into problems
yeah this one happend one time to my friend i played with
we fixed it when we found out she had one extra mod installed
i knew it was not this problem this time cause we shared all textures so it would be wierd... it was just lookup anything config that tricked me

It also tells you how many you still have left to ship hah, basically, whatever you need for perfection it'll tell you
yeah i knew it tells how many even how many monsters for hero of the village but...did not know about the hidden item one
i tought the hidden items are diffrent "items" with diffrent texture so it would not work

hi guys
im having a little trouble with one of my portrait mods, im trying to us nyapus portaits, and its working for everything besides vanilla. i have ridgeside, sve, es, and all of the npcs from there have the custom portaits but none of the vanilla characters have it

Hi I'm looking ahead to the 1.6 release, and noticing that a lot of my SMAPI mods have alpha versions for 1.6 (some broken, some working), which tells me that they're at least being 'worked on' and will likely be updated for 1.6 after it releases. 
But for all my Content Patcher related mods, there's no sign of updates (besides CP itself which is being updated), which makes me wonder - will CP related mods/content packs generally be ok and not need updating for 1.6? Obviously if they directly touch a specific building or thing that got changed in 1.6 I can see there would be problems, but am I safe to generalize that 'most CP mods will work ok in 1.6 after CP itself updates'?

Hello! It seems that you have Tile Framework alpha version instead of the main 1.0.9 version.
may someone help my installed mods are not working.
SMAPI version 4.0.0 is only for the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6 and would not work with the current version of SDV.

If you go to https://github.com/Annosz/UIInfoSuite2/releases, you can find UI Info Suite 2, which works with Stardew 1.5.5+. Download the first zip, not the source code.

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

UI Info Suite doesn't do that. If you want to have in-game setting configuration for various mods, you need to download Generic Mod Config Menu: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098
they should update this because theres a forum on the github for smapi android that fixes this problem as long as you have 1.5.6.39

so to update a mod, i just need to transfer all files over of the new download except the config folder, correct?
just tried updating a mod for the first time, and oddly it had everything except a configure file
downloaded update vs. original files i had
mods don't usually ship with a config.json. SMAPI will generate one automatically for any mod that supports it
generally the safest update practice is to delete the existing folder entirely and then put the new one in its place. sometimes mods move around their internal files and you can get weird bugs in some cases if there are leftovers from earlier versions

you can keep your config and drop it in afterward. sometimes a mod will change its config options and that could cause problems, but 1. it's rare and 2. mod pages will probably warn you if that is happening

i also saw somewhere you can add a single period "." before a filename of a mod to ignore it, and it works great! but i believe it said sometimes to add a "." before and after a filename for some versions of windows, is that right?

hi, im trying to setup an animation cancelling hotkey but everytime i setup a key, it opens the JOE menu. no matter what i set up the key as.

i have the same exact mods and mine are all able to load. he already has tried reinstalling the mods, as well as content patcher but the errors keep appearing. can anyone help with this? 
The problem is the file kind of has to exist if they reinstalled
If you have everything working correctly, Then it would mean that the file exists and therefore must work
any mod that lets me buy bait in bulk i tried stack split redux but i feel its still to tedious
I would check their antivirus to see if it's quarantining any files
well, reinstalling the mods is the thing to do. i would make sure they are reinstalling them to the correct place.
alternately, if they are using Vortex, that has a reputation for breaking mods due to poor file handling, so consider not using it
