Yeah that doesn't make sense Vanter. You're not running any actual mods.
Either it's happening in vanilla, which is why you installed SMAPI, or it makes zero sense you installed SMAPI
the requierements are mods needed to run SVE when you try to download it on nexus it tells you wich mods you need

i do use mods, the thing is that im not that reckless when it comes to mooding, i tried to run it with mods like sve with all dependencies and all but it did not work, so i tried whitout mods

that's pretty much all I can do for you then
some mod is muting my games music, ive tried maxxing the volume, verifying the integrity of files on steam, using sampi log parser, and updating all my mods

Take out half the mods and test. If it works now, then the problem mod is in the half you took out. If not, it's in the half you left. Store the 'cleared' mods in another folder and try half of the ones that aren't cleared. It's tedious, but it lets you find the problem.
i can see my most recent mods and disable from there.
That's also a useful method.

Mods are always so sketchy and always hosted on the grossest sites
Unless you have the following - see MARGO - in general moving there is pretty bad for getting downloads
Not to mention mods aren't software
Sometimes mods get flagged by overzealous antiviruses. If you're really worried about viruses in mods you can:
- download from Nexus or Moddrop, which check all files for viruses automatically
- preview the file contents on Nexus to see what you're downloading (content packs containing only images and json files are highly unlikely to be viruses)
- view the source code for most C# mods on Github by going to smapi.io/mods and checking the advanced options
- download and compile the source code yourself
Please do not spread misinformation at least on Stardew mods.
If they're open source they get a pass but nexus is still gross
That's your opinion, I guess. Mine is Nexus is fine, albeit not the most fantastic for people who don't want to host their mods on it anymore
What does it mean when I press play through smapi and a white screen pop up and boot me back to smapi installer ?

Open the log in log parser, click trace, them type weapon. It will show you which mod patching weapon

if it's not in the i18n folder, the translation won't be detected
if it's a full reproduction of a mod instead, it has to go in the mod folder, not the mod's folder.

Hi, I'm trying to install smapi on my mobile, and it's not letting me access the obb folder. Are there any solutions or workarounds to this?
can you try if Perfection Tracker still works? It highlights the recipes you haven't gotten yet
I tried the perfection tracker but it only does the vanilla ones, it gives me a number for my mod ones but it's not adding up with the mods I have so I'm trying to figure out what I'm missing

my bad. it only indicates "Plus 16 mod recipes" i loaded a new save file i wonder if it will indicate the actual name once some of the list has been checked/done
if this is the case, best we can do is go to every merchant/shopkeeper from time to time to acquire the mod recipes
You might have better luck finding solutions on reddit or on the forums - unfortunately we don't have a lot of mobile players here or ones who know how to solve/troubleshoot a very bugged Android SMAPI.
Stardew Checkup only shows data from vanilla. For mods - I recommend making your own personal notes and using Shipping Collection Sorted by Mods.
I think the problem is with android itself not allowing access to the obb files.
And there are likely users on reddit or the forums who may have solutions. π
hey yall im trying to install the stardew valley very expanded collection on nexus and its gone well so far, but stardew valley expanded is stuck on 97% installing percentage. anyone know how to fix this?
So, after a bit of experimenting. My game freezes up and breaks every single time I try to sleep when Lance is not on the farm.
If I do debug whereis Lance on the map screen he is on, I get his location (1st pic)
As soon as I leave the map he is on and try the same command, I get an error saying he cannot be found (2nd pic)
When we try to sleep and Lance is not on the farm (like Wednesdays when he is at Fable Reef, or if we go to bed too early on Tuesday before he returns from Adventurer's Guild), I get the same error spamming my SMAPI log and we freeze until I quit out of the game (3d pic), then my fiancΓ©e (the host( can progress to the next day and save and wait for me to rejoin the game.
Will post my newest SMAPI log next time the game crashes like that
First off all, using collection is bad. Second, as you use collectio, you muat be using vortex as well which is also bad.

hello people, so I have a few questions. I have been trying to solve an issue with my modded Stardew Valley. Due to some corrupted mods (which I do not know exactly which ones) I decided to uninstall and re-install the game. The issue is now my smapi mod manager doesn't work nor starts anymore, and when I launch the same installer it doesn't seem to let me be able to install/uninstall it anymore. (not sure if it makes any difference, but I am doing so on my steam deck)
Can someone please help me figure out how to completely uninstall smapi so that I can properly re-install it? Is there any specific folder that I need to delete?
the first time I installed it it was perfectly fine, it worked well, could see the choices of installing/uninstalling it. Now every time I open to install it the same way (even re-downloading smapi from the same source) it just doesn't do anything. I do not even see the install/uninstall options anymore
I am just wondering if there is a way to forcefully uninstalling it, so that I can try the process from scratch

I need help since I have a problem trying to replace the npc character avatars, usually 3 things happen when I try to replace, either when I try to load a file it will reset the game or nothing changes with the avatar
I've found a way, after restarting the console twice, re-downloading everything, uninstalling the game a bunch of times, now it seems to be just fine. Not sure what the problem was but it seems to be fine now.

i bought some recipies off robin for planter beds (beyond me which mod they are from) and i cant find them in my crafting so im wondering if its this message, but i dont know what the message means

Okay, so I'm on Ubuntu and the SMAPI install is going weird for me. 1) It's not changing the filename on StardewModdingAPI or on the .exe like it says it should be doing. 2) Running StardewModdingAPI or manually changing the filenames won't let me run SMAPI. Running it through the console gets me a list of host-options. Anybody got a clue as to what's going on?

If for whatever reason running the installer doesn't work, I'm guessing you're installing manually?
It puts the files in place, but it doesn't change the exe filenames so I do that part manually

probably not, and we recommend not using most mod managers anyway because they can actually cause bugs
if you absolutely need a mod manager, use stardrop. but it wont help with lag if thats your main concern

I mean in general it'd be compare your modlists to see why you have 4 different mods
the odd part is I can only find one content pack different as well as two C# mods, so I'm somehow not seeing three of them
(your farmhand has Greenhouse Sprinklers when they shouldn't, since you don't have it)
@stray spire I've been using 4.1.2 and have had the Artisan profession for a bit. However, it doesn't seem to be producing any artisan goods at the ingredient's input quality. I tested this with a bunch of various-quality produce and preserve jars, but it also seems to be the case with kegs, cheese makers, and looms. Weird thing is, this was working on an earlier version for a different farmer/farm.
No error's being thrown in SMAPI, and it's always lowest-quality artisan goods, whether or not I check the setting that gives a probability of equal-quality goods, or always gives equal-quality goods.
Any idea what might be causing this offhand?

Basically we've had all 52 same mods, I've just removed few of them since I didn't like it and she left it and it still didn't work

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Not sure I'll be of much help here, but a few final questions before I've exhausted my knowledge on this:
- How good are both of your computers? Old, decent, new and beefy, etc.
- When specifically does it freeze? Like on time change?
- How many automated machines are you running?
They are solid PCs, we used to run 400+ mods on Minecraft with about usage of 12gb/ram each, I was thinking ram usage might be problem since it's only using 3gbs, I expected/wanted it to take more, but couldn't find a way to
It freezes basically each day at starting on loading screen, then randomly when passing in other screen, or going into mines next level, basically anytime it can occur

SpriteMaster (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4922) is a mod that resamples the game's graphics to be smoother and improves performance. It is highly configurable and you can choose which options to enable.
install that, disable resampling if you don't like the graphical changes
it'll improve performance and your load times
Can't say it'll work to solve the in-game lag - it should help? - but the loading in will speed up

You're missing a core part of the game content folder
what it seems like is you somehow missed copying over a file.
and that shouldn't be possible since it should be contained within the content folder

The only thing you should need to do, Vapur, is copy your 1.5.4 install back into Steam or elsewhere, incl. your old SMAPI install, and run SMAPI from said folder.

You have options if you are worried that the update to 1.6 will break your modded save.

Copy and move your game folder to a new location on your computer and launch SDV directly from that new location. For easier access, pin the new location to your favorites or create a shortcut to the .exe file on your desktop!

Rename the game folder to "Stardew Valley 1.5.6" and launch SDV directly from that new location. NOTE: You will not be able to play through Steam anymore unless you also set up the game + SMAPI as a non-Steam game method, so keep that in mind if you care about total playtime hours or achievements.

Hey if I have mods, will I still be able to play multiplayer with someone or will I need to uninstall them/they'll need to have the same mod?
Like if I get Stardew expanded and they don't will that cause major issues or will they just not see what I see on my screen?
You can play mp with mods. Depends on what the consensus on mp, if you wanna play vanilla, no need to uninstall smapi, just run sdv exe file straight from game folder. If you wann play mp with mods, general rule is all player needs to install same mods

You can mod your multiplayer games, but to avoid any hiccups, all players' mod lists need to match. If players have too many mismatched mods, you will experience bugs in your game - even if the mods were working fine earlier, there is no guarantee that they will stay that way, and strange things may start occurring. There are a few exceptions to this - cosmetic mods usually work fine with no glitches, and some C# mods work as well. Mods often include information on whether or not they work in multiplayer in their descriptions. However, in general, your mod lists should match exactly.

How do you access the config files on stardrop? Or do you have to manually go to the file locations? I want to rebind some buttons for multiple mods
Open the mod folder, there should be a config.json of the mod you wanna change
You can use gmcm to change key bind. But if you wanna add combo button for keybinding, you need to change it on config.json of the mod

keep in mind that the chance is based on your farming level, so if you reset your skill level you will get low quality for a while
you can enable the option ArtisanGoodsAlwayInputQuality to remove the randomness and check if it works.

Do you want to play the vanilla game after having installed SMAPI? Keep in mind that you cannot play vanilla on a save that has been previously been modded. Please use separate saves for playing vanilla vs modded Stardew! That said, there are a few ways this can be achieved:

Copy and move your game folder to a new location on your computer and launch SDV directly from that new location. For easier access, pin the new location to your favorites or create a shortcut to the .exe file on your desktop!

Rename the game folder to "Stardew Valley 1.5.6" and launch SDV directly from that new location. NOTE: You will not be able to play through Steam anymore unless you also set up the game + SMAPI as a non-Steam game method, so keep that in mind if you care about total playtime hours or achievements.

this may be a stretch, but have you checked the config to see if all your artisan machines are listed? ive had an issue where changing the settings in game with gmcm blanks them, causing them to not produce the correct quality anymore
also, if its mayo youre having issues with, gmcm's character limit cuts off the names of certain machines, the mayonnaise machine in particular, so you may want to open up the actual config file in the game folder to see if the whole name for the machines is listed
these are only possible solutions if you use gmcm tho, so if you dont good luck and godspeed
I just started a new playthrough, but my heart events are messed up, they're not playing when they should. For example, on my very first day, I got the cutscene involving Willy telling me about the shearwater bridge (From SVE). A few day later, I see Shiro, or Yuuma's 2 heart cutscene (RSV) and I don't have that level of friendship with them.

Siv's Marriage Mod is incredibly outdated, you should not be using it. Looking for Love is its successor.

If you mean "only when XYZ person who didn't have a kissing sprite in vanilla returned to their "vanilla" look when I kissed them", no, because your furry mod likely doesn't have the kissing sprites
would furry farmers depend on looking for love or the other way around?

You can just put . in the front of mod namw you wanna disable so you don't beed to move em around
I uninstalled SAAT as well as Stardew Valley Expanded, changed the name to have no spaces since mine did for some reason, and it worked!
Also removed every other mod from the folder besides the ones needed for Stardew expanded and I'm slowly re adding the mods to see which causes issues

hey guys. my sdv has been having this visual glitch today, and i'm not sure why. if i can send a video, i will, but whenever i move in game or when i move from menu to menu (that has a slide animation, like the starting screen) there's this weird glitch.
there are no colouring issues, but there are random thick rows of pixels that shifts out of place slightly, almost like the effect that an old "snowy" television screen might have. i just updated my mods too, why would this happen?

i think Stardew has a VSync option? but it's in the in-game options
but if you enable VSync and your PC can't quite reach the frame limit (60 fps), then it will lag even more

Hi all. Recently my partner and I have started a new playthrough. We have several mods installed, most notably some mods like SVE, Modular Overhaul, and Love of Cooking. My question is mainly related to the last one. My partner upgraded her Frying Pan to Steel, but when we went to sleep that night her game crashed. Unfortunately, she didn't get a SMAPI log for the incident, and I'm not sure if it saves previous crashes? Anyways, the problem is that when she re-logged in, her frying pan had been reverted back to the default one, allowing only one ingredient in cooking, rather than the 3 she was working with in the upgrade. Anyone able to help? I don't mind using a debug command or something to give her back to the upgraded Frying Pan, but I couldn't find too much about that. One more question about combat, if i were to make two iridum bands with 4 aquamarines on each for an 80% crit chance, then i put two more aquamarine on my sword, and finally an emerald, does that mean a 100% chance to crit aswell as a 50% increase in crit damage? Or do crit rates work differently in stardew

SVE Wasn't even loading in the first log. So that wouldn't have been the problem. it's likely dynamic reflections.
And that's likely because you are on android

Android SMAPI does not currently work for SDV 1.5.6.61. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

a) you have the latest SMAPI version from https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer/releases;
b) you have the latest mod version(s) or have the last-known Android-compatible version;
c) and the mod author hasn't already addressed it on the mod page (e.g. via an Android-specific version or comments).

Yeah it's telling me everything you have is loading, so I'd keep SVE in but start yeeting other mods til you find the issue
Because SVE works perfectly fine on mobile with the mobile patch assuming you don't have the bad version of SDV

I have Aquarist profession and i want to pu Legend in a fish pond and i can't.
I know it worked in another save file so i know it's possible.
I have PNDS enabled too.

Aquarist (Lv10) - Fish pond max capacity +2 (β+4β). Catching bar decreases slower for every unique fish species raised in a fish pond.
The catching bar decreases 5.5% faster per unique Fish Pond. In multiplayer, only counts Fish Ponds owned by the player with this profession. Does stack with Trap Bobber.
Also allows raising legendary fish. Extended family can be raised in the same pond as the parent if PNDS module is enabled.
I tested with my other save file one more time to add Legend in a new fish pond and no probel at all. What can i think of is i have lvl 20 profession and maxed two skill (don't know the ones, it was a long time ago)

formula is ( weaponBaseCritRate + forges + resonance ) * (1 + ringBonuses)
so in your example:
forges = 2 * 0.046 = 0.092
ringBonuses = 8 * 0.1 = 0.8
resonance = 0
total crit chance = (weaponBase + 0.092) * 1.8 = 1.8 * weaponBase + 1.8 * 0.092 = 1.8 * weaponBase + 0.1656
weapon base is in general 0.05 for swords, 0.025 for clubs and 0.1 for daggers, but that can vary from weapon to weapon (tooltips will show exactly)
so with a dagger, that's 80% + 16.5% = 96.5%
for a sword, it'd be 40% + 16.5% = 56.5%
for club, 20% + 16.5% = 36.5%
if you have Bushwacker or Scout profession on top of that, then multiply again by 1.5
so with a dagger, 96.5% * 1.5 -> well over 100%
for a sword, it'd be 56.5% * 1.5 -> 84.7%
etc...
honestly at that point you'd probably be better off using an Iridium Needle and then going full crit. power
So if i use my example for my sword aswell as use bushwacker, ill get crits about 85% of the time?

I think i probably found a little bug with the new version of the config for margo, it works perfectly on my PC but on my steam deck i can't go all the way down on the list of things. And it's not as visual as pc version like for the list of machines.

In the older version of the mod angler was 1% increase of fish value for every unique species caught if i remember correctly.
Now it's only 0.5%
I checked the price of my fishes and i saw they dropped in value, like attended since i uploaded the mod. But what i think is intersting is this : I tried to put the "Angler Price Bonus Ceiling" to x4 If i understand it correctly it should add 2% value instead 0.5 right ?
but the price of my fishes didn't change at all even after rebooting the game.
Did i misunderstading what this slider does ? Or is there something like since i updated the mod it don't take in count my previous catches ?

Don't edit your settings in game. Edit them on the main screen or edit the config from the mods folder
Like, don't even edit the settings of other modules
Also double check the spelling of the machines in the config to make sure gmcm's character limit didn't cut some of them off

"Ceiling" means the maximum value. It's not a multiplier.
If you have 500 fish mods, the ceiling is there to prevent fish price from skyrocketing to 1000%.
Also, the second half of that original 1% is in the prestige perk.
The fancy GMCM menus just don't work with game controllers, so the menu adjusts itself if it detects a controller.
Any scrolling or whatever issues are with GMCM.

Hi, it won't open for me I don't know why but when I downloaded it with the downloader, I clicked the app but it just sends me out. When I try opening it with the SMAPI installer, the green arrow thingy, it still won't let me open it.
I've also been having a problem with smapi only the smapi installer is working but it was doing fine a day ago then all of a sudden it just crashes now

Longer days is properly loading, so if that's what you're worried about you should be good. So I have two more questions for you.
#1: What other mods do you have? You mentioned multiple, but Longer Days is the only one there. You should not have installed mods anywhere but that folder.
#2: What are you expecting to see in-game that you're not?
1.) Just these! The other three are from SMAPI, Longer Days is the only one I downloaded!
2.) There's supposed to be an option when you first start up the game from what the YT promotional video shows, a little gear in the bottom lefthand corner to change the settings for time stuff but it won't display anything and it's not in any other of the settings
Generic Mod Config Menu (or GMCM https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098) adds the option to edit some, but not all, mod configs from either the title screen or the options page in a save. It also has a special screen to edit keybinds for all mods with GMCM integration.
The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.
