Are there any mods that is like an in game craving for certain dish. Because i have a suggestion. Every day there is like a random dish craving of the player, which when the player eats that craving a buff called "fulfilled" will be granted to the player that temporarily increases def, atk, and speed stat by 1 point for half a day.

and one on the right of the folders, next to the refresh button and also left of the "search (folder)" thingy

All I actually changed was that the actually API file i renamed to Stardew Valley before making a copy to use as a shortcut. Yeah, make sure to get pretty much all of the same mods. The only ones I can see that you could have different is potentially Show Birthdays (I'd keep that anyway) and maybe the Yellog stuff and "Custom Menu Background"

hey dont mean to interrupt, but me and my partner been having issues with our game taking around 7 seconds to load whenever we exit a building, but this only happens during winter, we dealt with it year 1, but now year 2 has rolled around and its a little frustrating to say the least, any ideas as to what the mod could be thats causing this increase in load time?

if spritemaster doesn't make it fast enough, the cause is probably the SVE seasonal edits config option combined with other mods that edit the related assets, it causes quite a chain of edits and that takes time. content patcher also has an option that might help, GroupEditsByMod, but it has some drawbacks https://github.com/Pathoschild/StardewMods/tree/develop/ContentPatcher/docs#configure
platotk and pytk are incompatible as far as i know and could cause problems

And I can get the game open if I open it through the smapi launcher but that just doesn't open the mods at all it launches as if there were no mods... anyone know how to get around that? Thank you!!

yep, although a better option would be to disable the seasonal edits in SVE's config if you don't care about them
ok maybe it's a problem with the mods themselves because i'm seeing "these mods could not be added to your game: Content Patcher 1.27.2 because its DLL 'ContentPatcher.dll' doesn't exist." for most if not all of them
that seems like a problem, but you'd have to check the mod folder to see if that's an accurate problem

it's working! It must be a problem with my mods themselves, turns out you don't see the terminal until you close out of the game because of that original error though
some visual stuff, the leaves on the ground and roofs for example. craftables, fences etc. might display snow even if they are inside buildings, stuff like that
it's mainly expensive during winter though it seems

hi, i am trying to make a custom npc in the mushroom/fruit bat cave i was wondering if there was a exasmple mod to do just that
What part are you confused by?
I don't believe this is possible, and even if it is said NPC could never leave the cave
This is because NPCs cannot path through the farm AFAIK. You'd also have to somehow set the spawn point in the dispo inside the FarmCave
As there's no way out of the cave other than the farm, you'd be strictly keeping them in the cave, and again, that depends on if the game allows the character's dispo to be inside the farm cave

are they installed exactly in ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS/Mods (where the ~ is the user's home folder)

Hello! I'm starting to use MARGO on an existing save with SVE. The file sections says I need to extract a (FTM) file into SVE's folder and overwrite (to prevent spawning weapons... and changing some fishes from what I saw)
Should I paste the entire FTM folder into the SVE (folder) or only the content.json inside it?

Because it appears you have the tmx version in there somewhere and that's a really old version

it only randomizes the furniture, is there a tool menu?
it does not only randomize the furni, you have to make a folder of all the textures of the same object you have, and then a texture.json
place that in your at folder and it should work

either way turns out you dont have to convert anything, if you have both at mods and the industrial mod in your game everything will show up
when u use the paintbucket on your furniture the industrial will be seen as "default" , thne you should have ida's and elm's after
so I edited the config to stop the randomizing when placing, just buy the tools to change them to what I want?

Hello! I use the Vortex mod manager - I just updated all my existing mods, uninstalled some I didn't like, and then installed a bunch more. I highly recommend sorting your mods into subfolders
SpriteMaster (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4922) is a mod that resamples the game's graphics to be smoother and improves performance.
Just make sure to leave ConsoleCommands, ErrorHandler, and SaveBackup out of subfolders so SMAPI works properly
Although frankly unless you have a computer I can run protein folding simulations on, SVE+RSV can be very demanding
Try spritemaster, it might help
One thing tho I don’t see those three mods
You may need to launch the game without mods first. I can't remember if they show up before or after your first game load.

the sorting won't stop the game from crashing unless it's a weird load order thing
The sorting is to help you with moving groups of mods out of your mod folder for testing
and also for your sanity in the future lol
I'd pull the expansion mods out of your folder for now, so SVE, Ridgeside, Scarp, etc

Move JUST the contents of your Mods folder your desktop into the new Mods folder SMAPI created. Don't move the original folder back. Windows corrupts folders and it's better to use the fresh folder.

Start the game, see if you get the same problem. If you do, move your mods folder to your desktop and reinstall Stardew
I will take out all expansion mods first and then start going from their on

If after removing all the expansion mods the issue is gone, then you start adding individual expansions back in one by one to see which one causes the 10am stop

You can still report it and let them know nothing is showing up immediately in your smapi log. I'd upload the latest log that is associated with the crash and then share it with them in case they want to look at the raw form.

I'm trying to change the tilesheet config for lumisteria's indoor tilesheets and I'm just wanting to see if the ATDSV furniture would fit with elegant interiors.
Thing is when I changed my config to "InteriorOption": "ATDSV" it didn't take, I'm still seeing the vanilla furniture. Any idea's what I might be doing wrong?

hi, is it possible to reset the location of respawning hardwood stumps on a save? I switched farm maps mid-save and I was able to use RTF to clean up all the bushes & such but the hardwood stumps are still attempting to spawn in the old map's locations (which means only 3 are spawning). they're supposed to spawn in the lower left grassy area on this map

ya it's a denpendancy so I'm not sure if I can technically change it >.< it's just weird that it's an option
my understanding is that you just use them as normal tilesheets when you make your maps

Honestly not sure SpriteMaster should be so easily recommended for performance issues, as it comes with a hefty memory usage cost

tbh, I get what you mean, Shockah, but also if people are already having lag with trying to hold all the expansions and stuff, it's their only possible resort. Sure, they might not have the memory for it after... but if that's the case, the one helpful possibility has been exhausted

Assuming you used default and steam it’s program files -> steam -> steamapps-> common -> Stardew valley -> mods
Your Mods folder should be in your game folder after you install SMAPI. See here for more information on finding it: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Getting_Started#Find_your_game_folder
If you use Steam, you can also right click on the game name > Manage > Browse Local Files.

Yeah. I’m just finally getting rid of pytk. Haven’t noticed a difference in performance so far though. But yeah stray catfe is adorable and I love the characters they’re so precious. But it does not have permissions for updates or anything

Winrar is your unzip program I guess, though you can just unzip using Windows's inbuilt thing

Look, Spades, going to be honest - if you don't know how to unzip a folder, you're going to have an extremely poor time installing mods
I would get someone who you know who knows computers to help you set it up. Some basic computer knowledge is necessary and if you don't have it, we won't manage to get much of anywhere

hi, is it possible to reset the location of respawning hardwood stumps on a save? I switched farm maps mid-save, and I was able to use RTF to clean up all the bushes & such, but the hardwood stumps are still attempting to spawn in the old map's locations (which means only 3 are spawning). they're supposed to spawn in the lower left grassy area on this map

which version of RTF do you have
stump locations are hardcoded unless the map packed an FTM component
The map did have FTM packaged with it
Then your stumps are what the FTM module wrote, and you can edit that
I loaded a new save and it works there

Try opening the game again and it should make a new log

No. No it is not the answer we were looking for. I don’t understand why my game is suddenly running so slow, I have more than 15 GB of free RAM. Honestly I think it might have started the last time I did system updates on the PC
