what does crashing mean in this instance
I create a character, then it crashes right before loading into the game. Like I can see the inside of the player home for 1 frame, it freezes, then crashes a few seconds later

yes i validated all my steam files it said validated and then i loaded smapi again same thing. there werenât any steps after validating the files

I think sometimes it happens with older farmhouse expansions/layout changes, but it's weird that the issue persists even after removing the mod AND resetting the files 
im gonna try upgrading my house again i thought there were only 2 upgrades but if that fixes it then it doesn't bother me

okay @dapper gazelle it must have been that i was validating the files in the steam local files and then when i loaded smapi it was loading it from the stupid Stardew Valley folder that was on my desktop because i have deleted that folder and now the bed is normal!!

Are there any mods that still explicitly need pytk?
yes, there are some
Fishing Trawler for ex. still depends on TMXL, which depends on PyTK
Various NPC mod spouse rooms still use TMXL
There's various workarounds for some of them
So itâs worth readding to my list once I fix my issue
Riley still uses TMXL but I converted for personal use
You can easily check by removing PyTK and seeing what doesn't work
If nothing screams when you remove PyTK, you're good to go

unzip them into your mods folder
(Fishing Trawler I think relies on PyTK directly and not via TMXL, so that one will be difficult to convert. I think that's why Peace was reworking it from the ground up)

There is no working android SMAPI right now, after the mobile 1.5 release. No Android SMAPI means no mods on Android right now. ZaneYork, the developer of Android SMAPI, has said he will work on it when he has time. Sounds like there are files missing? but these files are present in my folder, so I'm wondering if something happened when you first downloaded her that caused some files to go missing?
but b/c these files are missing, I think her schedule is then getting messed up

awesome, thanks so much! I'll try reinstalling her, I've had a similar issue when installing SVE but then it was more obvious of an issue. any suggestions on how to best proof-check for other conflicts that will trigger later in game?
hmm, do you install manually or are you using a mod manager?

My brother is playing a save on my computer and he made it to the desert; he's trying to get a galaxy sword with a prismatic shard, but when he stands between the pillars with it nothing happens. The mods I have that may be affecting this are MARGO and Stardew Valley Expanded, can anyone help?

To obtain your first Galaxy weapon, as in vanilla you must first unlock the desert, acquire a Prismatic Shard and offer it to the Three Sand Sisters. Unlike vanilla, however, the weapon will not materialize out of thin air, but will be shaped out of a configurable amount of Iridium Bars (10 by default), which must be in your inventory. This will prevent a lucky Prismatic Shard drop from the Mines or a Fishing Chest from instantly rewarding one of the strongest weapons in the game before the player has even set foot in the Skull Caverns. Now, some venturing into the Skull Caverns is required.

The Tempered Galaxy weapons added by SVE do not fit the theme of this feature. If using SVE it is recommended to manually remove the Tempered Galaxy weapons from the custom Valdosta shops (navigate to the shops.json file inside the [STF] folder). Or you can just pretend they don't exist.

After i added challenging CC bundles i see some NPC bugged walking into the void or frozen as if sleeping but outside, even willy wasn't going to tend the store, just stood there frozen outside on the rain. there's a CP version of Chic Cute Kitchen. perhaps you accidentally downloaded the xnb version instead

I play the regular game that I got from GOG. No need to use their service either to play it. Only downside is that if you corrupt a save or something similar, you lose you whole game unles you do back ups of yourself.

For me, on linux, the game will never load using Steam.

Usually it's because your child shares a name with an NPC
something about that gets the warp code confused and the child is warped outside the farmhouse

littleNPC is a framework for another mod and itâs fairly new so ideally thinks should either be working or working soon lol
I changed the XNBs for a bunch of terrain features and map items but none of them seem to be applying T_T i just checked and idt i have any mods that interfere with it. For reference i'm using these naver reteks
if you replaced the native xnb files and they don't show in the game, it's either that some other mod is overwriting them or that the files are the native versions again. there isn't really anywhere for the game to pull the native textures if they don't exist
!log if any mod is targeting the the same assets, you can find it by searching for the asset name in the log after enabling trace on the log site (and after viewing the objects that should be changed in game)

well, as you can see, you can't copy the file, because the path is too long
so the way it will affect the game will be "the mod won't work"
(iirc you can set something in registry to make the max path length something sane, like >60k, and smapi will respect that if you do)

i have both of those mods. i've downloaded a custom furniture mod and a custom music mod, i just don't know how to apply them.
honestly idk might be a mod conflict, try removing all content patcher mods and open the game to see if it is an out dated mod, if it is not that it might be the mobile phone or email mod since those uses the mail? but again just try removing some mods a couple at a time (except error handler console comands pytk spacecore and tmxl)

dont completely delete the mods you remove though jsut move them in a temporary folder
they did have tmxl but when i sugessted to remove all mods but core ones i did not see they had tmxl as well therefore that weird thing with farmhouse happened
did you download the dependencies?
okay, yes, framework mods i get it. but i still have two .RAR files that aren't applying in the game. do i need to replace a file in one of my mod folders with them? or go into one of the json files and edit code?

if you mean the required mods, then yes. if not i have no clue what you mean
