For some reason I got an ARV cutscene with Sterling right after I left the beach and immediately following that, my game wouldn't stop spawning in the waves noise. Not a bad noise to have, but it was also overlaying with the other ambient noises as I went through town. I'm not sure which mod this is, but I also installed Stardew Reimagined 3 today as well and I don't know if that could've done it.

Hello there. I installed 2 portrait mods (DCburgers and Seasonal Outfits) and they were working fine at first but now portraits show up bugged like this and i cant seem to fix it. Any idea what to do?
I can't imagine how these two mods would work together to begin with since both mods are trying to replace the default portraits.'

I would suggest using https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/999 and manually choosing what portraits you want shown
Who oversees the activated sprinklers mod? I wonder if that or the activate sprinklers mod have been updated since the sprinklers don’t seem to work with the enrichers.
I deleted the portraits folder from the Seasonal one so only sprites would show up and it worked fine like that but now even after i remove seasonal outfits DCburgers still dont show up

Hello, I am new to this community and wanted to start playing on PC with mods. I use Windows 10 and Steam. I have tried uninstalling and resetting my game files but the game will not launch with smapi 😦

Often translations of mods have various version mismatch issues due to the difficulty of keeping up with updates

The manifest posted says 1.1.0, but Nexus says 1.2.0
(Well, 1.2 but the 1.2.0 is inferred by SMAPI)
You can change your manifest to say 1.2.0 if you care

Unfortunately, MonoGame has a bug which affects random computers, not allowing them to launch Stardew. This bugs randomly targets computers, regardless of your operating system or hardware. I can understand that and the os is very good but in my opinion you can get a much nicer laptop for much less $

I definitely agree Macs are not optimized on price
I happen to hate Windows, I find it clunky and ugly
I would use Linux if I didn't use a Mac, but I like not having to debug my own wifi drivers

Yeah, if someone told me they were getting a computer optimized for Stardew Valley I would not tell them to buy a mac, but I would also ask them why they were doing that, because SDV isn't the most resource-intensive game
It's not quite the level of "what's the best computer to run powerpoint" but it feels a little misplaced in the same way
tbh if you were also doing something resource intensive like 3d modelling or vfx a mac might not be the best option either
Admittedly this is coming a bit from my experience optimizing computers for intensive research applications—we maxed out a computer with 256GB RAM this week, so anything stardew does can't touch that

for modded SDV you want high per core performance and a decent amount of RAM right

yeah, my pc is up to date and everything else works, it just a target of the monogame bugs slaughter but i have downgraded to 1.5.4 until then :[ the sad part is i cant play sdv with friends unless they also downgrade

The version of A&S that I'm seeing in your log is to the main version of A&S, which is not meant for MP. I would normally recommend using the MP beta version of A&S. But that comes with the caveat that I was recently alerted that that version may contain a bug that prevents skins from loading (you'll see a "must not be an absolute path" wording in the error if this happens)

You cannot generally do this, but certain mods will leave traces in the forms of NPCs and recipes and such
QoL mods and aesthetic mods will be invsible

Hello everyone! I've got a question involving portrait mods. Everything that I need to have installed is installed so don't worry, but I was trying to run talkohlooey's portrait mod along side the optional genderbent mod. But it doesn't seem to be working, the genderbent mod is just overridden or something by the default mod. Do I have to pick and choose one or did I install the genderbent mod incorrectly? I can't seem to find any help for this anywhere online so if you have advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the legacy mode? The main downside is that it's not compatible with modding. The graphics driver issue is very hard to fix from our end because we don't know most of your computer specs and I at least personally know very little about graphics cards

Hi I need help with my stardew save! So I have furniture mods installed the Victorian one and this other one that goes well with the Seasonal Farmhouse that has a garden and attic and everytime I decorate parts of the house and save it, a note shows up saying there's a problem with the save.

guys im having a weird problem from using Joys of Efficiency
if i use AFK Fishing , it always catches Weeds
even though the fish meter says the correct fish otherwise

alright, what about in your mods folder, if you hit windows+r, paste C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods\Content into the box that pops up, and hit enter, does anything come up? if something does, can you send a screenshot of it?
(Fwiw it's most likely antivirus or dedicated graphics card)
(That's usually the two causes of really slow loadup)

SMAPI can't load XNB mods
However, that isn't the source of your not being able to launch the game fully
alright so it looks like somehow part of your game content folder got pasted into your mods folder? I would just remove that folder from your Mods folder (to be clear, remove the folder called "Content" that is located in your "Mods" folder, do not remove it from your Stardew Valley folder). That might help the load time. beyond that, yeah, make sure smapi and stardew valley are whitelisted on your antivirus, try the things in the governor link up...

Have you somehow duplicated the Grandpa's Farm folder into each of those folder?
did you somehow paste SVE inside grandpa's farm folder?
also Ridgeside Village should only be contained in one folder too
It may be cleaner and easier for you to start from scratch for RSV and SVE.
alright so delete [CP] Grandpa’s Farm, Grandpa’s Farm and Stardew Valley Expanded, then download Stardew Valley Expanded and Grandpa’s farm from the sve nexus page, unzip and move them both into your mods folder as is
I highly recommend you start from scratch. To do so: Delete all the RSV, SVE and Grandpa's Farm folders from Mods, then extract fresh copies of those to an empty folder before putting them into Mods (to keep things organized)
Grandpas farm contains folder CP Grandpas farm, content.json nothing else
can you trying adding all mods from scratch? delete everything in /Mods folder, except ConsoleCommands and ErrorHandler
then readd all mods from scratch
just install it for now

although PyTK has been removed as a dependency for most new updated mods, you may have added a mod that needs it

sorry for replying to such an old post, but i'v been lurking to try and get SVE on android, i'v been searching for quiet some days. i followed this guide, sadly most of the versions named are not in the nexus database of old files. and sadly the game is now so laggy when booting i cannot even read the errors smapi is trying to provide

(also it certainly looks like you're missing some components, SVE has more than CP and JA)
dont paste anything or rearrange anything else
(i have my sve and grandpa's farm in a subfolder for expansions for the sake of organization. this is not necessary for you).

while technically you can take the components out of the mod folder (for example, taking the [CP] Stardew Valley Expanded out of the Stardew Valley Expanded folder) (i think you can, don't quote me on that), you really shouldn't. Best case scenario is you're making a big old headache for yourself when the time comes to update your mods

you can also use FashionSense + FS packs if you like changing up your clothes and you can save your favorite outfits as well. And ofc CustomizeAnywhere still includes a mirror to change up your appearance + clothing catalog for any JA clothing packs you have.

I think one mod that takes up a lot of loading time for me is STF. And it's spammy as heck in the smapi console on every new day
Also JA, but with 111 JA mods I know why it takes a long time. 😛
my slowdown for pytk was mostly going from the title screen to the save screen, which would take a very long time for some reason and if I accidentally touched something, would die 😆

ahh yep that happened to me when I updated to 3.16.0 unfortunately. I got stuff to look more "normal" (or what I'm used to as normal) by zooming in on both the Zoom and the UI under settings
Plus it broke the skintones on my custom body mod so my farmer is so pale if I took her outside she'd spontaneously combust

This is a silly problem, but I'm inexperienced with all forms of art. I'm trying to modify this hair png so that the outlines are darker compared to the rest of the hair. I thought upping the contrast would do it, but no. Does anyone have any advice?

Does anyone have BlueStacks that they play Stardew valley on? I have it in both mobile and BlueStacks on PC and I've had so many issues with mobile that I gave up and tried to do modding on PC, and it said that the way is to use creator hub but I've searched everywhere and can't find it

But it does extend the lifetime of Pytk

5mins the most then that popup that the game isn't responding start popping up

You have SVE and RSV. It's going to take a very long time to load into the game.
SM will improve the time from menu to game, but not into the game itself.

hey all. I have this weird problem where smapi takes an unnaturally long time (around 15 mins) to load, but worse still is that my save loads just as slowly and if i click on the black screen just once it crashes. I've had Pytk when i started playing with this save, and from what i gather it can cause a similar issue. But i uninstalled that mod and all others that needed it, yet the problem still persists. How i know that this is a problem is because the first two days i played everything went fine and loaded in a matter of minutes. It may be worth noting that i use vortex to manage mods.
