Also to add to the discussion, if you are looking for a tablet besides a starting out tablet (60-80 dollars) it's been my experience that it really is just more sensible to save up for a screen tablet. it will increase your workflow/productivity because there's no disconnect between your hand and the monitor. I'm really happy with my screen tablet but it definitely is pricey and you'll need to be serious about the investment.

I'd recommend then just making a small rectangle for a humanoid
Something like
120 tall 50long and then just make multiple frames and then put them together
So like 120x50 10 times with different viriations to mimic a walking pattern
Also the numbers I gave where completely random, figure out what you want for your figure then use the same size every time to make the different frames, then put them together in 1 soild animation

I've hit a bit of a rough patch with my story ATM. I'm cutting ahead to the future, after the main character talks to his grandfather moments before his passing. Though he's young at the time, the cut to the future is him suffering in a Jojamart Employee Center. I'm envisioning him daydreaming of a sunflower-draped field and enjoying the sunset with a significant other. Only to be interrupted by Morris. Through this I want to introduce a rivalry between both Morris and Valentine/Inkwell. As Morris is a self-centered go-getter that only seeks to raise himself higher and higher up the Jojamart food chain. This contrasts with the desk-jockey job Inkwell's been saddled with. Morris starts up a boastful conversation, and comments on how he's been promoted and will be overseeing a new business venture in a small coastal town. (Obviously SDV.) He asks Inkwell to stay late for no overtime. Which he reluctantly accepts. As Morris leaves, Inkwell sighs and rests his head on his desk, crestfallen. He noticed the letter, thumbs the seal, and breaks it open. Reading it contents, he becomes stalwart and determined. A new feeling overcoming him as he packs what little he has and resigns from his position. I kinda want this to be essentially a novelized version of my very first play through. Since the game itself leaves a lot of room for narrative, character, and dramatic moments. I'd like to capitalize on that to make something really cool and endearing. One that lets me charactize my farmer as well as fictionally elaborate on some characters' backstories and goals.

I think this could be more effective if you used more frames and doubled the size of the thing so you 4 pixels look like one so that way you can use a half a pixel or what looks like it to animate more and give it more frames
