Most of the issues I have with my current pad is the pen which is rechargable. The one coming with the new display is battery free so fingers crossed that will no longer be an issue.
But I can return it if it is at least.

If Huion would include a longer cord to connect the tablet to the computer, and would fix their faulty drives so the wireless-batteryless pen would actually register to the tablet without having to turn it off and on 17-25+ times I’d highly recommend anyone who can afford the 900 dollars to get mine if they like the big surface space, I probably should’ve gone for a smaller cheaper one lol

Tablets are basically an input device like a mouse or keyboard. As long as the drivers are installed and set up on each computer, it should be fine.

If not Openshot, there aren't too many options. There's Davinci Resolve and Lightworks off the top of my head. Both have free versions that have most of the features that non-professionals need.
Both have a bit of a learning curve, but in my experience Lightworks has a steeper one but is more powerful.
The 3D modeling software Blender also has a video editor. At this point Blender encompasses almost every creative venture now that I think of it.
