sai's dying cause its aging out, photoshop is a pain in the ass that wont run optimally cause its slow when i dont use my gpu, and when i do use my gpu it starts fucking freezing every few minutes, so im trying to find alternatives

ones that are free or arent a monthly subscription are more ideal but i wanna know what youre using cause the way you paint looks really nice

and ive tried to get that kind of blocky shading effect with photoshop and its just too fucking hard

I love sai myself. I got it to work with my wacom, just needed to update the drivers. So maybe look for an update on the drivers? I know Sai is smart enough for pressure sensitivity.

the problem is that i cant use it with 2 monitors. for some reason it ignores the cintiq monitor setting and will always just make my pen act as if i'm using it with both monitors instead of just the cintiq... its really weird.

Sai is honestly my most favourite program for art. I've tried mostly every big art program out there (step dad's a graphics designer, so he tests out alot of programs and then lets me try them out as well) And sai just has the most easy layout imo, plus the way everything feels is just pure gold

one bad thing about sai though is that it's an old program. it won't even display at full resolution on a 1920 x 1080 and also when you save something at a certain dpi, when you open it in photoshop it isn't the same dpi, it's slightly lower. kind of weird

My Huion was $1200 new and it has really bad display display issues where the pen just doesn’t respond, no matter how many settings I tamper with or whatever I look up. It just does it randomly and then I just turn everything off and back on a few times and it eventually fixes itself, but extremely annoying. But can’t send it back because we’d only get half the money for it and stuff and just ugh, it’s a pain.
