Soo, coming back after a long break on doing pixel art background related. Not really sure what to think on this tileset I was working on in the past which was heavily influenced by Seiken densetsu 3. from the looks, I was attempting to make it auto tileable from all the various edges and transitions in the file
The one thing I learned from studing the tilesets of Seiken densetus 3 is that the artist used the corners of the tiles very effectively to break up repeating patterns
So far by only using 4 tiles and having eye catching features or objects hidden in the corners of the tiles You can really break up the repeating patterns if lets say this tuft of grass was in the middle of a tile
So making the tile corner modular, you can end up having 16 different variations only using 4 tiles

So if you end up having a big easy to spot feature, motif that sticks out like a sore thumb, you can try to offset it up to the corner so that the motif is split over 4 tiles. though this requires some attention to detail, making sure every combinations fits with every single grass tile, even the ones that transitions into a different tile type
Here's kind of an exampe of where I made a error
The transition between the full tile and hte half tile on the first one isn't exactly great and it looks like it's been cut off
Most of the time you end up making sure all the ends of the tiles aligns up neatly and good looking.

Using that phrase almost made it sound like they saw themselves as a tragic main character.

The progress in game is kinda slow for certain aspects so you might have to go ahead and get some stuff ready (like running around collecting foraged items and selling them so that you have extra money to spend when playing with her)
It might be good to check out the Stardew wiki too. You’ll see a warning in sections with shhhspoilershhh stuff so you can avoid that and experience special events/cutscenes yourself in game.
If you want to show her cool stuff, you might have to consider making another savefile to play around first so you know what to do/expect
