those are some proportion basics (for non-comic character drawing).
and silly things that help me;
-
Your foot fits on your underarm (aka your underarm is as big as the foot and vice versa)
-
There's an eye sized width between your eyes
-
A lot of people's corner of their mouths line up with where their pupils are
-
The ears are generally as big as the top of your eyelid to the bottom of your nose (but here's where perspective is going to count as well)
-
There's no standard-sized ear, they're like finger prints in that sense.
-
No one has a symmetrical face or body, so tiny 'errors' work well for a drawing/painting and such
If you want a pose that's not facing forward or 'stiff' I suggest giving 'Gesture Posing' a google.
It is also the basis for more complex angles etc.
But also feel free to ping me or whatever for questions (don't know if I'll always have an answer but I'll try)
The Statue of David is one of renaissance examples of this particular pose (which name I cannot recall atm sorry)
where essentially the left part is 'in rest' and the right part is 'active'
Which can be achieved by the red lines I drew on top of it.

but there is a point where you need to reign it in a little, constantly tearing down your own work, or negative self talk like shown in the comic isn't a good thing, and isn't always just self deprecation, it's past that if it makes sense
its a whole thing of, keep talking down to yourself, and the repetitiveness of it sinks in until you really do believe your art is that bad
and that kind of thing affects those around you too, which is important to be aware of

The waist looks awesome proportion wise (considering how much you can see of the character in terms of distance)
You could have her hand/arm reach closer to the camera, making the hand bigger and the over al pose more dramatic.

||Balthazar grew up in shop that made and sold instruments with two parents who hated music, the only reason they kept the store was so they could make money and that it was family owned. Balthazar really liked the instruments however and would "test" them by playing them. Over years he started to like them more and more until one day his parents noticed and forced him to learn how to make them instead, he was essentially banned from playing music. This is also how he lost his eye, his father was yelling at him to go faster while tuning a guitar, in panic he turned the tuning peg too far and the string snapped and recoiled into his eye, blinding him in that eye. A few months after he was tripped by one of his siblings whilst he was carrying an newly finished order that belonged to a wealthy noble. After this his father became enraged to the point where he stabbed him before cutting out his eye. He now wears an eye patch to cover the scar. His parents abused him a lot for minor mistakes and he grew to be afraid of failure. He never did loose his love of music though, he made his first lute and he hid it from his parents, this lute became a coping method for him, a way to escape the world around him. He loved his lute more than anything after he turned 20 he packed up his stuff and ran away, he never wanted to come back. And he didn't.
Balthazar had a large family, of which he was the 2nd youngest. All of his siblings treated similar to his parents except the youngest, Elsie. Elsie and Balthazar were extremely close. When Elsie was 8, however, their father became so enraged over seeing Elsie playing the violin that one of his other children had made then he grabbed her and beat her so viciously that she was killed. ||

Also a bit more contrast and lighten/brighter at the horizon , you can make it just a little bit brighter if you don't like it .
Then try to make the mountain in the background fade a bit, so it would looks like it is in depth of field ( because fog )
Then finally try to make the edge more clean at the foreground and midground if possible, it is a bit too fade into the background
Sorry, i don't know what else i can help. But well just do what you feel the best that is.

i would recommend you to practice small painting like leaf or rock separate before go full painting, since choosing color and the value could be a bit headache if you aren't familiar to painting yet ๐
