Well there are 2 type of harsh comment
1 is useful to pin point out most problem
second is just say it " You are bad at it so stop drawing "

Concrit is a learned skill, giving and receiving. I know there are all kinds of writers workshops and stuff irl and online. Idk if anything similar exists for art because usually you don't have "drafts" the same way as in writing

i've had a few in school

i mostly like them because we're all going to receive critique and we're all on some kind of shared level so it makes the critique itself a lot less intimidating

I'm grateful that my college was a decent art school u.u My biggest issue was how much they push people to go to Blizzard (for the game kids) or Disney/Dreamworks (for the animation kids), and there was some... bias? I guess? towards the more outgoing students

See the design I have is a solid area and then a transparent area on the upper half (so nothing is exposed but there is some additional skin showing) but that transparent area could use a nice mesh or something to make it pop more

And while people are inclined to really discuss other peoples art in here
#creative tends to be people wandering in to dump art, and I think everyone could rly stand to try at least commenting on other peoples art a lil more
