So I have been thinking about diversity a bit as I work on my sprites. Doing some research, a lot of SDV's characters can be considered to be caucasian characters. It is debatable for who may be who from what I can tell. But if there is room for certain characters to be of a different ethnicity, who would they be? I haven't gotten around to Haley and Emily yet but I was thinking about making them asian characteristics.

I don't really mind the race of any of the characters, but if there is room to allow a little more diversity, I kind of want to tackle it. Any thoughts on some of the characters that leave room to be a different race? I believe somebody mentioned Gus as being a candidate of ambiguous race. Ambiguity is something I may be looking for.

I like where this person goes in terms of 'if this person were not what they are, what could they be?,' but I totally see where you're coming from with the 'too much diversity becomes forced' thing

As a musician and not an artist, I am in no place to provide input on how to diversify characters from an artistic sense, but I do like the idea of diversifying sdv a little more

Yeah, it is pretty difficult to think about as it is an unnecessary step for sure, but looking at characters and names I think there is some ambiguity. I never played SDV but I plan to when I am done with my sprites, so I am doing this by feel. For example, I see the possibility of Haley and Emily being part asian (Japanese/Korean), Sandy as Arab, Gus as possibly European/Mexican. and Mr Qi as Chinese. For me they leave room for that ambiguity.

Any mystical characters in SDV could be whatever they want to be honest, so I feel like they can be changed to be anything and still be okay. But I like the idea of SDV characters having room for interpretation.

i'm thinking about buying clip studio paint with their winter sale because of the colorize option that i love so much and will help with my coloring of my sketches because the line art is such a pain to color tbh when it's sketchy
i just don't know whether to go all-in for the more expensive one because of the extra animation features or to just go with the base one since all i'm really gonna use it for is coloring stage (unless i find a good brush setting similar to the one in fire alpaca i have set up rn)

Okay so I'm back with another conundrum
There's a sale going on for galaxy tab A with S pen and my friends said they would get me one present this year and it can be something in that price range
Buuuut should I just ask my friends for the money and save towards a surface book instead?
IDK which is more effective for my artwork in the long run
Surface book can run things like clip studio paint but it's so.... Expensive
It would take me a long time to save for it with everything going on now
So the galaxy tab A would be right now, but is it worth it when it can only do apps like Sketchbook Pro?

Trying to get through this illustration of a Willow Dragon for my patreon and it's taking forever. Going to merge the leaves at the left up into the horn as it's just not working out as the neck curving. It's still a ways away from being completed and have a lot of details to throw in, still. Pencil, marker, and watercolor, 5"x8".

I think what I am struggling with is the idea of symmetry with the hair. On the left head, the left side looks good but it is tucked under the hair moreso than on the right. Wasn't too sure if I should make the right side tuck more like the left.

There used to be a pokemon game on roblox called pokemon brick bronze. ( i played that game only, nothing else :I ) Tho it got taken down by game freak when it was done, now its getting a sequal with no real pokemons, only pokemon the devs have created..
