yeah but as a contemporary painter abstract is fucking hard. a lot of people look at something, see that its done simply, and assume it isnt a skill or there isn't a language to it. and it just smacks of people liking things that are familiar and taking no interest in things that read differently. let people ascribe faux deep meanings to their art, lord knows we all had edgy demon/angel ocs when we were 13 and did the same thing

im not saying youre not capable, im just saying theres a really nuanced language to modern/contemporary/abstract art and not many people put in the effort or time to learn it. so something exploring texture or a direct political statement in the way of almost mechanised paintstrokes gets lost when exposed to audiences who just want a pretty picture

This comes up in more areas than just art. One's failure to personally appreciate or value something does not equate to it intrinsically having no value. That art obviously has value to both the artist ... and to the people willing to pay $60,000 for it.

brought my drawing tablet home with me, using it on my moms old laptop. I installed the drivers and it works, but the pressure sensetivity is constantly at max no matter how hard I push it down. I drew it p quick so I'll have to make some little adjustments, but the shoulders are wider/more visible now, and I changed the position of the arm to match the shoulders (since if I didn't her left arms would've had about 2 elbows, which is one more than you should ever have)

if u wanna like, hide a lot of the forearm with foreshortening, i think the hand should be bigger as its closer to the camera
also proportionally, elbows are aligned with the bellybutton so ye like what catto did in their redline, the upper arm should be longer (tellin u this so u have context for it later)

It's not bad at all. I do think the snout needs to be a bit more elongated. It's also good to keep in mind that the bottom part of the jaw tends to be a bit shorter than the top in canids.
