If you got into picture editing, you could increase the saturation of the grass and increase contrast of the trees
So the trees are more dark shapes against the bright of the sun and grass if that makes sense

but yeah, if you look at shadows on things, theyre never black. its great for drama and stuff, but it kinda washes out any colours you use otherwise so its best to use it sparingly :0

For my StardewValley mod, I need a custom texture. However, I have no experience with designing, so I am hoping if someone would be so nice to create it for me 😃

Basically, I need a texture to be created for the collections menu (where you see the different side-tabs for vegetables, fish, artifacts, achievements,...)

What I need is a texture like those above side-tabs, only the specific item image (fish, vegetable,...) should look like a [Lost Book].

(So a Lost Book image in the same look & feel as the other tab images.)

As a template, those sidetabs can be used (they are located in Content/LooseSprites/Cursors.xnb)

so really only an icon depicting a Lost Book has to be created

Honestly I do agree with learning the actual more realistic parts first then going from there. The whole, know the rules so you can break them properly kind of thing.
