I took a sheet of pastel paper and a piece of black drawing paper, then measured out what I wanted to cut. Then I used an exacto knife to cut up both pieces of paper, rearranged the squares, then mounted them on another piece of black drawing paper

And I used charcoal and colored pencil

That Rose was kinda scribbled on too, especially in the negative side x)

artist who want criticism want to evolve and they want to be the best. you can give any criticism if u want, but there is another group who dont realized they need criticism (they will become mature just give a little time) or they dont like the "general" criticism. learn anatomy, learn how to shade etc. these type of artist need different criticism, they are in a different path.

im just trying to say everybody learn how to draw in a different way and dont feel bad about u cant help others who really need. think about other's ppl mind and just enjoy the good art, and there is still ppl who practising.

yes, it's Ivan the Terrible (obviously) holding his son after striking him in what would lead to his death, or so they say. it isn't known fully how he died.

as an extra bit of info "In his memoirs, Repin said he was inspired to create the painting by the 1881 assassination of Tsar Alexander II, the music of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, and the bullfighting he had witnessed in 1883."
