think of it like a receipt. you fill out what the commission was, the price, if theres a return policy and when it should be completed by [doesnt need to be to the day, but something like 'within 2 months time' is valid]

that way if theres any disputes you'll have something to show that the transaction happened, and that all parties were aware that its a digital [i'm assuming] product and nothing physical was being bought/sold

And the whole world has to rebuild itself through a program set up by both the top nation and the god(s). The more criterias they meet, the better technology that gets allowed to the general public as well as better materials

heyo! SO there's a local mom and pop art shop that sells ALL KINDS OF PAPER and they carry an assload of watercolor paper and there's so many options and it's overwhelming

anyhoo i kinda know that more pounds of pressure means like, the paper is more durable i guess? idk. they go up to 300 pounds, maybe 400 for some? idk it's been a while. also what's the difference between cold and hot pressed and which is better

Hot-pressed is smoother, cold-pressed is rougher. I like cold-pressed for the texture, though hot-pressed could be fun for experimenting with smoother gradients and would dry a little slower since there's not as much surface area for the paper to absorb the paint. It doesn't uptake quite the same. But as a rule if you're starting out, always go cold-pressed.

GSM/lb is the weight and thickness of the paper and corresponds to how much water it can hold while resisting bending/buckling and disintegrating. 140lb/300gsm is common and where most people start, I still use 300-400 gsm because it's the most available for me and cheapest. You really don't need much higher when you're learning (and with proper pre-wetting and taping can avoid a lot of the usual curling that happens, and can also flatten it out afterwards once dry under heavy books anyway).

That said, if you use a ton of water (like I tend to whoops), a heavier paper might be good. Most people starting out with WC (and plenty who have been using it for awhile) tend to use too little water. Heavier papers are more expensive.

Additionally you can find paper loose, in books, or in blocks. A block is just a book of paper with two of the edges glued (in the same way that a book has one edge glued, unless you get a spiral-bound book, they come both ways). Blocks are very popular but most blocks are Arches or similar expensive, pro-grade papers that you don't necessarily need. I suggest books (like Canson) as you tend to get the most paper for the best price. Get the largest one you can afford, because that enables you to do large if you want to or cut down smaller pieces for test strips or experiments and overall gives you the best value. Loose sheets tend to be a bit pricier in the end.
